Book Series
Redwall series- anthromorphic animals aside, they're pretty good stories
Resident Evil series- the novelizations of the games, plus the 2 original novels (Caliban Cove, and Underworld) do the series justice... now if only there was a novel for RE4, since that was the last DEECENT Resident Evil game (5 was too action-y, 6 was way too complicated and hard to follow, 7 did an "OK" job of bring back the suspense, but really phoned in the plot and creatures, and the 2 "Revelations" games only get an AVERAGE score in my opinion... they REALLY need to focus on a balance of puzzle solving, combat, suspense/scares, & have the story back up the gameplay... but KEEP the moving while aiming mechanics; stopping to aim a gun or knife at any freakshow in your path gets old fast, and is VERY annoying during a boss fight)...
the Resident Evil 2 remake really, REALLY fixed a LOT of the issues they had... now if they just didn't have me spending half my time running from an 8-ft tall, trench coat & fedora wearing B.O.W.
Tom Clancy's Op Center series- even though a LOT of what the characters are talking about goes over my head most of the time, especially when they're talking about politics...
