THE ARENA RP open
A Inkweaver1324

Introduction:

You wake up in a small, dark, cubic room. There is one light above you on an unseen ceiling, giving off a faint orange light. There doesn't seem to be any exit. All of your belongings (except clothing) have been removed. As you get your barrings a voice echoes through the darkness,

"Hello, combatant, and welcome to my game. I have gathered you and others like your kind and brought you here: to my Arena. You will fight for my entertainment, and maybe you will live to get your freedom."

(the second-person view is kinda disorienting, but I can work with this. Should I keep Second, or switch to third?)

(Switch to third. It's in second because it has to refer to everyone.)

Para slowly sat up, dizzy. How had he gotten here? everything was a blur. He listened close to the speech, hoping for some clues about his captivity. Once it was finished, he slumped down against the wall. He didn't know what to think; this was so sudden.

Blanc had been laying on his stomach when he awoke. He immediatly started banging on the nearest wall to be released, not even paying attention to the speech.

------

To all: "You have all been chosen for your specific.....skills. You all are not afraid to kill, you all are hunters, now we will see who is the strongest of you all.

To Blanc: "You have been chosen for your rage, your bloodlust, and your need for revenge."

To Para: "You have been chosen for you superior combat skills and strategy, you are truly a powerful opponent."

((no! frist person :O))

Lullaby thrusted herself to all four claws after awakening. Her orange eyes illuminated the dark place. Upon realizing there was no exit, Lullaby began slamming her strudy body on the walls while booming furiously.

"And I shall not forget our machines, especially you madam. You along with the rest of your kind have been chosen for your sheer power, and to make the game more...interesting."

Slamming a paw into the wall was Lullaby's only reasponse.

"Save it for the show darling...which begins soon...very soon."

Throughout all of this, the huntsman ignored the speech, instead analyzing it's cell in search of a flaw or weakness. It found none, but didn't stop looking.

--

"No, godammit! I'm not going to be used for your... your..." Para faltered, leaning heavily against the wall.

"LET ME OUT AND FIGHT YOU BASTARD!!!"

------

"Use your anger combatants, the game begins.....now."

All of the rooms began to....move. They climbed upward, and stopped a few moments later. One of the walls opened, creating a blinding white light from outside.

"Step forward, and have fun. But know that if you refuse to play my game, you will be eliminated."

The huntsman didn't hesitate to exit, stepping forth into the blinding glare, quickly adjusting it's optics to conphensate.

--

Para had his choice now. Go along with this, continuing to live but at the cost of others? or refuse, and die?

He hated it, but the alternative was worse, in his mind. He stepped out into the light.

Lullaby brust out of the opening in hopes of escape. Blinded by the brightness, she paced confusedly until her eyes adjusted.

Blanc walked out into the light, covering his optic with his hand.

------

The combatants found themselves forming a circle among each other. The rooms had been elevators, which seemed to have risen up from the ground. In the middle of their circle was a pile of objects, and the group recognized some of their belongings there. There were other items scattered around, some close, some far.

"Take a moment to assess your surroundings. You are in my arena, to play my game. The game today is battle to the death, your arena is an old carnival. You will see before you a pile of some useful items to help you survive. When the game starts officially, you may choose to charge the supplies, or run to somewhere you deem as safe. The pile will only be here for a few moments, so choose wisely. Do you risk your life for a weapon? A first aid kit? A personal belonging? Or do you abandon them for safety? This is the bloodbath, the start of my game. Have fun."

At that moment, a canon went off in the distance symbolizing the beginning of the event.

The huntsman had no need of devices, and it recognized the strategic fallacy of walking right in there, so it instead chose to circle the edges, waiting for a fool to get too close. Once enough were down, the rest would be more easily manageable.

--

Para, though, opted for a different approach. he quickly darted to the pile, grabbing his sword before backpedaling away, looking around wildly for any nearby threats.

(have you been reading The Hunger Games, by any chance?)

(Maybe....)

Blanc saw Noir's mask, as well as his scissor blades, but the two were too far apart. He ran to the pile and picked up the mask, quickly turning and running off into the rest of the carnival. The others still seemed to be deciding what to do, so he took his chance.

-----

"The pile will be gone in three minutes, but one last thing, my puppets. The carnival isn't in the best of shape, things might be a little...dangerous. Currently there is no power running through, perhaps you could keep that in mind in the future."

Lullaby immediately turned, and thundered away from the group. Her pace lagged after a few moments as she looked around to try and find an excape.

Now that he had at least something, Para quickly scuttled to and into the ruins, debating whether to hole himself up or keep moving.

The Huntsman began running toward the masked sole occupant of the pile, but the other creature scurried away before the machine could catch up. It diverted it's course, heading for the nearest structure, intending to get a better view of the battlefield.

Blanc didn't run far, actually. He had stopped to further think things out after making the first turn.

"They stand in my way, so they die....need...need DIRTY WEAPONS!" (ps, his voice is shmeegal from LOTR)

Blanc began to scan the ground for a dirty weapon, something sharp. He only found little chunks of stone.

"BLUNTS! All BLUNTS! Need SHARPS, not BLUNTS!"

He then ran off to further his search.

((Am I going to resurect this RP? I wanna play with Lullaby D:))

Lullaby had been lumbering slowly, then paused, watching a Stitchpunk run by a few meters away. She rumbled lowly as she fallowed it.

(Yay! Thx, guessing she's fallowing Blanc...)

Blanc could hear a low rumbling from behind him. He turned but continued to walk backwards to see one of the machines.

"Go away! I do not want to be your friend!"

(refrence)

Lullaby continued after him. She moved to the left and eventually ahead of him. She nudged the Stitchpunk gently with her tail in the direction she started to turn.

Lullaby lifted her head at the sound of the announcer's voice. She grumbled lowly and turned around, walking in the direction of the main arena. The large machine lumbered around, trying to find the source of the voice.

You're part of my game, little truffle. Get up and play. I'd do so quickly, lest the game end for you too soon!

13's elevator room lifted, and the doors opened up to the main area.

Unfortunately you will not be able to retake any of your belongings.

A camera up high on a pole turned to focus on Lullaby.

It seems you have company little truffle, play nice.

(all right, I love being this character.)

The machine's flux fur lip curled into a snarl and she homed in on the source of the sound. She reared up on to two legs and pushed her weight onto the beam. Lullaby pounded on the pole in order to knock it over, thinking whoever captured her was hiding up there somehow.
