Eragon RPG Room 1: A fresh start
M Seeker Lyson

We're back to square one. Nothing is the same before, everything has changed.

Things to note: Galbatorix is still alive, Tristian is not his son. There are only to be three active dragon riders at a time. (This excludes, Murtaugh and Eragon) I will choose these riders out of the core group of RPers.

This RP takes place in the book of Eragon. In other words, any characters that were alive during this book are alive now.

Don't put chat posts in this topic.

Topic info:

Galbatorix is at the height of his power, his cruel reach outstretches to the very ends of Alagesia. A few key spots remain outside of his grip. The Varden and the elves are two of those key places that still fight against his power. (More to come)

Arissa stared at her reflection in a pool of water, a puddle from a recent rainstorm. Her grimy, matted hair, dirty face, dirty beyond recognition she was used to. Her long nails, nearly claws, them she was used to. But it was her eyes that scared her. They were so different. They were so... wild. She had to get out of here before she turned into the animal she looked like.

With that in mind, she turned to Ellsmera.

((Can Erotis be one of those Riders? And FIRST POST! And Isasar isn't involved this time round.))

Savaric moved silently through the forest, his target unknwon, his destenation unknown. But what he did know is that he was lost. He may be one Galbatorix's magicians but that didn't stop him from getting lost. In one hand he held a sharp long sword that cut through the trees, against his back was his large two handed blade Siege-breaker. His red cape stood out against the dark green landscape, the empire's insignia the most obvious. The next most noticable thing was his maroon hair that stopped before his ears, the cracks that ran along his face and neck.

"Damn trees, damn forest." he muttered as he looked up through the woods. Not an end was in sight. "Who the hell even thought of putting a forest here?" he asked himself annoyed, not that anyone would answer back. Granted he wouldn't mind though. "I should just burn my way through..." that last part sounded like a great idea in fact.

"Whoever did has a lot to answer for," a voice answered after a moment, and a... well, figure... covered in dirt, long tangled hair down to her waist that looked black, and a pair of amber eyes peeping from the dirt and mud looked up from a pool nearby.

Liam heard angry cursing and crashing near him.

He pressed himself up against a tree, hoping his cloak would conceal him, listening intently.

Savaric paused halfway through an upswing just as he heard the voice. His eyes flickered over to where the voice had come, and soon his body turned that way as well. What he saw was a bit unnerving but he just assumed it could be a lost kid, er woman rather.

"Speak your name." he said, in a tone of command. Figuring this was probably an escaped prisoner. "Durza will have to watch his cells better." he muttered to himself.

If she hadn't spoken, he'd have never noticed her.

"Arissa Assira," she said, gazing at him with wild but controlled eyes. She dunked her face in the pool and scrubbed most of the dirt off, and that was when her elvish features came out.

Liam drew his bow and nocked an arrow, preparing to defend himself or whoever he thought was the innocent party up ahead.

{Playing a game, don't except my posts to be prompt.}

Savaric scowled, so there was an elf wandering around outside of Ellserma. He sheathed his long sword, it would do him no good here anyway. He didn't move to take out another weapon, but his hand was angled towards Siege-Breaker.

"You sure fell low, have you not?" he asked, a smirk across his scared face. "What are you doing roaming around in Empire territory?"

((Eh... ignore the last sentence of my first post. XD. Better idea.))

"I've renounced the elves," Arissa replied in a hoarse voice. "I wander everywhere. And I'd also like to clean up to a presentable standard."

It seemed that, once she'd made the decision to rejoin society, there was no question about looking back.

Liam's fingertips whitened around the arrow, drawing it back a little further.

He was ready to spring on whatever was threatening someone in his woods.

"Huh, and a pool of muddy rain water will do that for ya?" Savaric asked raising a thined brow as he advanced towards her.

"No," Arissa said, dryly, "I was actually thinking your blade. You know, cut the hair and nails?"

Liam turned around the tree, taking in the situation quickly.

A Shade!

"Stop!" he shouted. "Don't move!"

In some surprise, Arissa turned to Liam.

Savaric paused mid step and turned halfway, to keep his eyes both on the boy that shouted and the elf.

"Let her go," demanded Liam.

Arissa didn't make a threatening move, not wanting to provoke the boy.

"Let her go? Boy I have not laid a hand on her." Savaric said, "I was merely making conversation." he said quietly, his maroon eyes flickering to the boy.

"As was I," Arissa said.

"If you really do have innocent motives, you can drop those swords then," Liam said.

Savaric let his long sword drop to the ground with a usless clattered. Siege-Breaker was then placed neatly onto the ground and Savaric stood back up looking at Liam.

Liam lowered his bow uneasily.

He was still getting bad vibes, given the man was a Shade.

"And you are..." Arissa said, as she washed her face from the pool.

Savaric watched the boy amused by his precation. It would take one fell swipe from Siege-breaker and it would be over for the archer.

Liam didn't answer, keeping his eyes on Savaric. "Are you the Shade I've been hearing about?"

M Seeker Lyson

"Perhaps, there are twp of us." Savaric said, staring right at the boy. "So it depends really on which shade you wish to speak with."

Two?! Damn. This can't be good.

"I'll talk to you then. What are you doing here?" he asked. "Why are you in these woods?"

Arissa focussed on cleaning as much grime as she could from her skin, and pulled out a sharpened stick, a rudimentry dagger, to try to hack some of the mess of hair off.

"Why am I in these woods? Boy, these woods and most of the land are under Empire rule. The question should be turned on yourself, why are you in these woods?" Savaric asked, he wouldn't tell the boy the reason he was hacking his way through a forest.
