In the weeks leading up to D-Day, the men of the 82nd Airborne had been training without break for the day when they would finally step into a combat theatre. Ever since the US had been dragged into the war by the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, men had been flocking to join up. But the men of the Airborne knew that they were fighting by the sides of the very best, and could proudly count themselves amongst that number.

As zero-hour draws ever closer, the 82nd and their brothers of the 101st are finishing their final preparations before the jump into Occupied France. They know what they're getting into. They know what to expect. But they don't know how they'll perform, and every soldier's worst nightmare is letting down his comrades...
