All right. So just a quick bit of info for anyone who wants it. This forum is going to be split into several storylines. The storylines are parallel and will not cross over under any circumstances. The first and simplest, is "The All Americans". This one focuses on the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army and all it's constituent assets. There are no German OC's in this RP, for simplicity's sake. This RP also features the French Resistance, so feel free to submit any Resistance fighters that you want to. Please don't muck around. If you want, say, an American Paratrooper fighting alongside a group of Frenchies, you'll need to come up with a good reason.

The second is another airborne operation, entitled "Pegasus". This one focuses on the 22nd Independent Parachute Company(Pathfinder) of the 6th Airborne Division of the British Army, etc. etc. Once again, no German OC's, mostly because I don't want people fighting each other. It kinda ruins the RP after a while, because no-one wants to lose a character that they've put so much time and effort into. Once again, the French Resistance are present although they have much less of a presence in this area of the fighting. The good reason guideline still applies.

The third RP is one that has been immortalized in many a war-game. "Omaha". Real simple. This one focuses on the men of the fabled "Big Red One" the 1st Infantry Division of the US Army, however, you may also make a character for the 5th Ranger Battalion, also fighting om Omaha. Now remember, Omaha was bloody. There were thousands of casualties before the soldiers were able to fight their way off the beach and, unlike most representations, it took almost three days to achieve. So no crazy, heroic five-hundred metre charge of death that ends up with your character blowing up some bunker. Don't do it. There is no Resistance presence here. Still no German OC's

Fourthly, there is the RP called "Gold". This one focuses on the defence of Gold Beach, specifically by the 1st Battalion of the 916th Grenadier Regiment of the 352nd Infantry Division of the Wehrmacht(take a deep breath). Now, the 12th SS also feature in this, but not right away. They counter-attacked on the 7th and 8th of June. You'll be playing an SS Panzergrenadier if you go for this lot. Gold beach had the second heaviest casualties of all the beaches, so feel free to kill a few of those Brits coming at you. Just not too many, because they did send the Germans backwards. This one's the other way around, no Allied OC's. And no Resistance OC's either. Pretty much all the fighters in the area were slaughtered by the 12th SS.

Now, we get onto the last one, "Juno". Juno Beach was arguably to most successful of all the landing beaches. This one focuses on the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division of the Canadian Army, but you can also make an OC for 48 Commando (Royal Marine), fighting on the Canuck's left flank. Juno was very successful, being taken with minimal casualties and then having the invading forces fought their way to their objectives. In the end, only the Canadians managed to make their first day objective out of the entire campaign. Don't get cocky though, they still had to fight hard. There are no German OC's in this RP. There are no Resistance OC's in this RP.

There is also the Skirmish RP, but that's just for fun. If you get tired of being constrained by history or by the bleating of an annoying admin, go there and tear some shit up, true CoD style. There are no restrictions on what you do there, so long as it follows the rules and doesn't piss anyone off.

If anyone has any more questions (I dearly hope not. Not after all that), please feel free to ask me.

Nice to see you too. Sadly that's how it turns out most of the time whenever I find more recent forums.
