This is obviously where the RP starts. I'll update the plot every once in a millenium (I'm very lazy), and you guys can just start whenever.
I'm not good at starting roleplays.../shotandbricked
A small girl who could've been no older than 5 walked through the city that she was now terrified of. Something had happened in a situation where +Anima were now illegal and had to be turned into guards if they were found. She brushed her hair behind her ear, hiding her marking as well as she could. She kept telling herself to relax and stop acting so paranoid, since that would make people suspect her, which would be very bad. She sighed, almost on the verge of tears. Wasn't anyone on her side?
Walking through the town with a deep frown was a boy who was angered beyond measure. He'd thought he found a lead to end his search, but it was a dead end. Because of it, he now had a scar on his cheek and a bleeding arm. "I gotta find someplace to clean myself up at. Can't keep walkin' around like this", he said to himself. He sighed. "This day can't get much worse."
Ai noticed the boy and the injuries he had, also noting his bad mood. Ai felt bad for him, so she tucked her hair behind her ear to hide her little black marking, and scurried over to the boy, tugging on his pants, since that's really all she could reach from her small height.
Masaru looked down to the little girl before him. His expression softened and he gave a small smile. "Hey there", he greeted. "You need help?"
Ai shook her head.
"No, but do you need help? You look like you have a boo-boo..." Ai said, pointing to the cuts that the Masaru had.
"Hehe", Masaru chuckled softly. "I got a boo-boo alright. You know a safe place where I can clean myself up?", he asked, bending down to her level.
Ai nodded.
"Yeah, I know a place! It's not that comfy, though, but I guess you can say it feels like home." She said, grabbing the large hand with her two smaller ones, gently tugging on it for Masaru to follow her.
Ai led Masaru to a pretty empty part of the large town, and walked into a corner. She let go of Masaru's hand for a moment as she moved a large piece of wood, having a little difficulty, but it looked like as if she had done it many times before. Once the piece of wood was out of the way, Ai wiped her hands on her green skirt and then grabbed Masaru's hand again.
"In here. You might have a little trouble getting through since you're so big, but I think you can fit!" She exclaimed, walking into the little gap and motioning for Masaru to follow.
Masaru crouched down to follow her. "What's a little girl like you doing in a place like this?", he asked.
Ai looked nervous.
"Um...both of my parents went to heaven..." She said quietly.
Aimi shifted her feet nervously.
"No one...I take care of myself...I make money by selling roses that I find in the woods...I sometimes keep a few for myself...they keep me from being too lonely..." She said. She then held up a little pot, which contained a slightly withered rose.
"See?" The little girl asked.
"It's not that bad...at least I can take care of myself..." She added.
Masaru frowned. "That's not right. You're just a little kid. You shouldn't be raising yourself. How about you come with me?", he asked as he opened up the bag he carried.
"Yeah. Right now I travel around looking for my family. I can take care of you and when we find them, you can live with us", Masaru said this as he took out a cloth to wipe off the blood on his face and arms.
Ai smiled widely.
"I'd really like that! Oh, by the way, here's so e water to help clean the boo-boo." She said, holding up a small bowl of water for Masaru.
"Thank you", Masaru wetted the cloth and washed his wounds. "I'm Masaru by the way. What's your name?" He wrung out the cloth and put it back in the bag, then took out a roll of gauze.
Ai blushed.
"Thank you!" She exclaimed cutely.
"Is your arm okay? How big is the boo-boo?" Ai asked curiously.
"I'm okay now", Masaru said, putting the gauze away. "It should heal in about a day." It was a deep gash, but he didn't want to worry Ai. Besides, his +anima would probably speed up the recovery.
Ai blinked with concern.
"Roll up your sleeve so I can see it!" She demanded stubbornly.
"I already wrapped it up. It's fine", Masaru chuckled at her determination.
"Please? I can tell how big it is just by seeing how big the band-aid is! Pretty please?" Ai begged with sparkles in her eyes.
"With a cherry on top?"
Masaru smiled. "Who can say 'no' to a cute little girl? Don't say I didn't warn you. It's actually pretty gross." He unwrapped the gauze to show Ai his wound. The gash went from his shoulder down to his elbow.
Ai stared at the wound with wide eyes. She rolled his sleeve up a bit to get a look at the whole thing. While she was scanning the wound, she saw what seemed to be part of a small black mark right nearby the nape of Masaru's neck. She narrowed her eyes at it.
"What's that?" She asked, pointing to the mark.
Was Masaru an Anima?
"That's my injury", Masaru said, backing away trying to hide his mark. He didn't want Ai to be scared of him like some people were, once they found out.
"It doesn't look like a boo-boo.." Ai said slowly.
"And why are you acting all scared now?" She asked.
