Hanashi: Okay, I know I said I'd have this updated the week Succumb to Sin was...but then I learned, "We're going to Georgia!"

Allen: ...what does that have to do with anything?

Hanashi: Eh...I was packing, unpacking, repacking, and checking my mental list to make sure I had everything. I THINK I fianlly got everything...

Allen: ...Hanashi doesn't Own D. Gray-man, if she did...she'd probably turn it into a yaoi.

Hanashi: -grins- Oh, Moyashi-chan~ there's no "probably" about it~! Well y'all! Enjoy~!

=Six: Drunken Words are Sober Thoughts

The boy had fallen asleep shortly after the episode with the sake. Cursing under his breath, Kanda trudged to his own room, after getting the cursed child to his own bed. Why was he bothering with such a hindrance? Hell if he knew anymore. It was like everything was moving towards something, and he wasn't really sure what he thought of it.

The boy, he would admit to himself, was…interesting. Captivating, perhaps, and even a smidge…no, cross that, very childish. But somehow…that seemed to be the 'sprout's charm. Kanda rarely found anyone being able to stand up to him, much less fight him tooth and nail. Allen Walker was such a person, and the longer the Samurai spent time with the cursed boy, the more he felt he'd soon be beyond the point of no return.

Or maybe…he'd already passed that point? Deciding last minute sleep wouldn't come to him so easily that night, Kanda made a one eighty and headed out to train with his trusted sword, Mugen.

Allen POV

Hours later, Allen groaned feeling as though his head was in a too tight compress. The sun's rays wasn't quite helping his situation. "The bloody hell happened?" He groaned, wincing when his head only throbbed more so than before.

Slowly, but carefully, he sat up, looking around. He was in his appointed room it seemed, though he didn't have any memory of getting there…could it be that Kanda…? No, Kanda was a lot of things, but Allen highly doubted he'd drag his ass to bed. At most what he could remember yesterday, was trying this strange beverage that the elder kept in his fridge…he must've drank at least a few cups…but what happened then?

"Come on, Allen…think…" When nothing but a throbbing headache was evident, Allen sighed and gave up for the time being. There was no point in figuring it out if he was just going to suffer from whatever was going on with him at the moment. "First things first, it seems…" He finally decided. "See if there's anything for a pain relief potion."

Kanda POV

Kanda had finally finished training enough to get his mind of his earlier dilemma. But alas it was only temporary for the moment he stepped foot into his home, the very center of his prior thoughts, was right there in his kitchen. By the looks of things, it appeared the younger male was making some sort of concoction.

"Moyashi, what the hell are you doing?" He watched, half amused, as the boy fumbled with the glass he had been holding, a free hand going to his chest as though to prevent his heart from exploding from his chest.

"It's Allen! And don't scare me, BaKanda!" Kanda took note that it seemed that the boy had suffered from his outburst.

"Feeling sensitive?"

The head of white hair only glared to the one of raven. "What's it to you?"

"That's what you get when you drink too much, idiot." To this the younger glowered, and downed the potion, Kanda was sure of what it was now, in one go. "Aren't you too young to be drinking alcohol to begin with?"

"Shut up." The boy said, slamming his glass on the counter. "How was I supposed to know that stuff was alcohol?"

"Hn…I don't know Moyashi, maybe the fact that everyone and their grandmothers know what Sake is?"

"Okay, then how was I supposed to know that was Sake? I didn't see the label anywhere." The elder scoffed, and took out the large bottle Allen had drank last night, showing him the label.

"It says so in kanji, moyashi." The boy stare incredulously at the oriental man, before glaring intently at both him, and the bottle. "Che. What? Can't read?"

"I can so read! I just can't read whatever that is."

"What kind of mage are you, if you can't read the language of my native tongue?"

"Like hell if I ever want to learn that has anything to deal with an arse like you!" The boy sighed, before something had come to mind, "Um, Kanda, exactly what happened after the whole…um…fiasco?"

"You don't remember?"

"Allow me to wrack my brain for the answers I obviously don't have, BaKanda."

"Alright. You were drunk."

"I got that much. But what did I do?"

At this the elder shrugged, before leaning against the counter. "You did things, said things. Nothing worth mentioning."

"Why is it I don't believe you?"

"Are you familiar with an old proverb?"

"A lot of them…which one?"

"The one that goes, 'Drunken words are sober thoughts', or some shit like that." He clarified. "I'll admit, you may have said something that caught me a little off guard."

Confused as he was, and just as scared, Allen asked the first question that would come to anyone's mind after being told information like that, "What…what was it I said?"

Kanda smirked, a gleam in his eyes that only meant mischief and evilness towards the unsuspecting younger male. "Now, why would I tell you anything? Surely you don't truly wish to know. Ignorance is bliss after all. You seem to be living proof of this fact."

"Who are you calling ignorant, you arrogant bastard?!"

"You." Came the blunt reply.

"Dammit, Kanda, what was it I said in that state?"

"Now, why would I tell someone who has yet find a way to lift the curse?"

"Arse."

"Brat."

"Moron."

"I'm not playing this game with you, Moyashi."

"Could've fooled me." The younger muttered. "You're really not going to tell me squat?"

"Maybe, if you do lift the curse, I'll tell you what you said. Of course, that depends if I'm feeling generous enough at that point."

"You're an egotistic narcissistic bastard." The snowy-haired mage bluntly stated. In which he was only met with a shit-eating smirk.

"And you're a moyashi."

These chapters are relatively short...but going any longer always seems to be in a different chapter, so I cut it there...plus I just love the name calling cliche X3 A fun way to end a chapter~!

Don't forget to R&R, and of course, that don't mean "Rest and Relaxation"...though that'd be nice from time to time too...and I did get an idea for a one-shot that's perfect for Halloween! Look forward to it :)
