Chapter 52
"Ugh where are they"?!
Hotaru, Manami, Shark, Sirius, Hart, and Orbital had all managed to get out of the tower and were now waiting for Darka and the others to get back all worried as the tower was falling apart. "If they don't hurry the whole place is going to fall apart", Sirius said.
"Way to state the obvious Sirius", Hotaru hissed.
Hart looked at the tower worried Manami looked up from healing Shark to look at Hart. "Hey", she called out to him.
Hart gasp softly and faced Manami who gave a comforting smile. "Don't worry they'll be ok Darka wont lose them easily", she assured.
Hart grew wide eyed but then smiled and nodded Manami smiling back. "We haven't introduced ourselves I'm Manami, Darka's younger sister the orange head over there is Hotaru the older sister", she said.
"Nice to meet you", Hart said with a small smile.
"There we go a nice smile", Manami said happily.
Hart looked at Manami surprised but smiled then they saw a light and gasped as they looked to see a portal appear and Yuma and Astral released from Zexal morph, Kite, and Faker fell out from it. "Yuma"! Shark gasped.
"You guys are ok"! Manami smiled.
"Wait a minute. Where's Darka"? Sirius questioned.
"What happened to Darka"?! Hotaru growled out.
"Vetrix he showed up when we reached Faker and Darka dropped us in a portal so she can handle him on his own her and Astrana are still in the tower"! Yuma gasped.
They all gasped as Kite quickly stood. "I have to go back", he said then winced.
"Are you an idiot?! You'll never be able to reach Darka in time"! Shark yelled.
"I cant let her die though"! Kite yelled back.
"What the hell"?!
They all looked to see Hotaru trying to form a portal but was unable to. "Darka must've done something so we couldn't form portals", Manami gasped.
"That little"-!
*CRASH*
They all gasped in horror to see the tower crashing down destroyed and now a pile of rumble. "Darka"! Hart and Kite yelled.
"No"! Manami and Hotaru yelled in horror.
"This has to be some kind of cruel joke", Sirius said shaking.
"No we cant lose her she must've done something"! Yuma began.
"Astrana", Astral said shaking his eyes showing sadness.
Everyone was all speechless and shocked as a few tears fell until.
"Oh stop with the water works"!
They all gasped and turned to see a portal as Vetrix, Quinton, Quattro, and Trey walking out Quinton holding Darka in his arms and Trey holding Astrana who was in human form in his arms both the two looked as if unconscious. "Byron! Everyone! But wait what happened"?! Hotaru questioned shock.
"Well lets say these two are quite the reckless types", Vetrix chuckled.
Flashback...
Darka and Vetrix were still chuckling as they then looked at one another. "But to be honest I wasn't really going to go through with my revenge", he said.
Darka and Astrana gasped. "Really? You weren't"? Darka asked.
"No you showed me that it was foolish to keep on following the path to revenge and to move on", he said.
"That's great news Byron-san", Astrana smiled.
"Yeah that's the greatest news. So you only came here to help us huh"? Darka asked smiling.
"Indeed but you seemed to have done all that yourself", he smiled.
Darka grinned as she then looked and gasped to see a boulder heading for Vetrix. "Byron look out"! She yelled.
Darka quickly pushed Vetrix out of the way getting her wing crushed by the boulder. "AHH"! She yelled in pain.
Astrana who can feel Darka's pain through ZEXAL yelled as well as they then glowed and separated both unconscious and on the floor Astrana and Darka in her human form. "Darka! Astrana"! Vetrix gasped rushing to them.
"Father"!
Vetrix looked to see the Arclight brothers walking out of a portal and gasped. "What happened"? Trey questioned worried.
"There's no time we have to get out of here now"! Vetrix said.
They nodded and Quinton grabbed Darka and Trey grabbing Astrana as Quattro formed the portal and they quickly went in as the tower fell.
End of flashback...
"So that's what happened dear Crimson I was so scared for a moment", Hotaru sighed.
"Those two are going to be the end of us", Sirius sighed.
"That's for sure", Manami said.
Then they all heard groaning they looked to see Darka wincing as she opened her eyes. "Darka-chan", Hart said happily.
Darka looked and gasped. "Hart"! She cried out.
In a flash she was out of Quinton's arms and was hugging Hart tightly while crying a bit. "Oh Hart I'm so glad your safe. You're not hurt are you"? Darka asked him urgently looking at him.
"Don't worry Darka-chan I'm fine. But are you ok"? Hart asked worried.
Darka gave a soft smile as she kissed Hart's crown and hugged him. "Yes if your ok then I'm ok", she said happily.
Kite smiled as he walked to the two and hugged them both Hart and Darka smiling at him. "Now we're all together again", Hart said happily.
"Yeah and we wont get separated again", Kite promised.
"Right", Darka nodded with a teary smile.
Faker smiled seeing the three as Vetrix walked to him. "You alright Faker"? He asked.
"I am... Byron I am so very sorry for everything I did", Faker said sadly.
Vetrix gave a small smile. "It's alright Faker, Darka told me you only done it to help your son in a way if I had been in your place I might've done the same thing", he said.
Faker looked at him then softly smiled as they watched as Hotaru began shaking and yelling at Darka for being reckless while Manami, Yuma, and Hart tried to calm her down and Sirius and Kite trying to hold her back. "Those kids are really something", Faker said.
"Indeed they are but then again those girls are Tsunayoshi's kids while Yuma is Kazuma's son we shouldn't be surprised with them", Vetrix chuckled.
"Yes and maybe they will be the ones that will protect this world from the Barians", Faker said.
"I wouldn't be surprised", Vetrix chuckled.
"I swear Darka if you do something like that again"! Hotaru growled.
"Alright I get it! I wont be reckless again"! Darka said.
Hotaru sighed as she let Darka go. "Honestly you are too reckless for my sanity", she said.
"Hey come on its not my fault. Hey where's Astrana"? Darka asked looking around.
"Michael has her", Quattro said.
They looked as Astrana groaned opening her eyes. "Ah! Good to see you awake Astrana-san", Trey smiled.
Astrana blinked then blushed as she squeaked quickly getting out of Trey's arms. "H-How did we"? She began to questioned.
"What is this"? Hotaru questioned with a smirk.
"Astrana are you blushing"? Darka asked surprised walking to her partner.
"No! I'm not"! Astrana said quickly her face flushed.
"Your face says otherwise Astrana", Hotaru smirked.
"Wow Trey you finally got an admirer I'm so proud"! Quattro smirked.
"Quattro"! Trey said blushing.
"I said its not like that"! Astrana yelled.
The others laughed at the two as they blushed then.
"You guys are safe"!
They all looked to see the others and to the sister's surprise to see their parents running to them. "Oh I'm so glad you're all safe"! Kasumi said hugging her daughters.
"We're fine mom really. But why are you and dad here"? Manami questioned.
"We saw what happened on tv and rushed here then we met up with the others and ran here to see if you were alright", Tsunayoshi explained.
"Well don't worry we're fine and look who we found", Hotaru grinned pointing at the Arclights.
Tsunayoshi and Kasumi looked and they gasped. "Boys you're alright"! Kasumi said happily.
She ran hugging the brothers. "Oh I was so worried about you three. Where on earth were you"?! Kasumi scowled.
"The worry you caused Kasumi and me I swear", Tsunayoshi sighed patting Trey's head.
"We're really sorry", Trey apologized.
"Indeed we are", Quinton nodded.
"Yeah", Quattro mumbled out.
"Well as long as you're fine now then I can't really stay mad", Kasumi sighed with a smile.
"I don't know about that mom", Hotaru smirked pointing at Vetrix.
Kasumi looked then gasped. "Oh my... Byron"? She questioned shock.
Vetrix gave a small smile. "Hello Kasumi it's been a while", he said.
Kasumi was speechless until she walked to him then wacked him on the head surprising everyone but the Shinoris and Arclights. "You reckless fool! Doing something like this! I can't believe you Byron"! She yelled angrily.
"Oh man she's really letting Byron have it", Hotaru snickered.
"I want to feel sorry for him but I just cant", Darka giggled.
"I don't think you can", Quattro smirked.
"How long until she's finish"? Trey asked.
"Until dad calms mom down", Manami said.
"You mean this is normal"? Faker couldn't help but questioned.
"With our families yeah", Darka said her sisters and the brothers nodding in agreement.
"Now pushing all that aside. Christopher you said you wanted to talk right"? Hotaru asked Quinton.
"Indeed but first. Darka do you have that item I wanted you to keep safe"? Quinton asked.
At first Darka looked confused until she gasped searching for a moment until she reached in her jacket pocket and got out a small black box everyone looked curiously as she opened it showing the others except Hotaru. "Wait all this time you had them"?! Quattro gaped.
"I thought they went missing"! Manami gasped.
"Christopher gave them to me for safe keeping", Darka smiled.
"It's beautiful", Lyra smiled.
"You think Hotaru would wear it"? Sirius questioned.
"Once Christopher talks to her about it she will", Darka smirked.
Darka closed the box and threw it to Quinton who caught it smiling at her who smiled back. "Ok everyone lets go! We're giving these two some space come on"! Darka yelled.
"What?! No way am I missing this"! Quattro yelled.
"Well too bad come on", Manami said.
"We need to let them have their privacy Quattro", Trey said pushing his brother.
The Darka and Manami pushed the others away leaving Quinton and Hotaru alone confusing the fire wielder. "Ok what was all that about? And what did Darka gave you"? She questioned.
Quinton only smiled as he then hugged her Hotaru gasped in surprised not expecting that. "O-Oi Christopher", she began.
"I love you".
Hotaru gasped and looked at Quinton shocked who looked at her with a loving smile. "Wait... What did you just said"? She questioned.
Quinton chuckled. "I said I love you Hotaru I always have", he said.
Hotaru blinked processing what she had just heard covering her mouth in shock. "I cant believe it", she said softly.
"Please believe it Hotaru cause it's true", he said.
"But for how long"? She asked.
Quinton chuckled again cupping her face. "I would have to say when we first met", he said.
"What?! You can't be serious"! She gaped.
"No I am for me it was love at first sight", he said.
"Sappy much", Hotaru couldn't help but giggle.
Quinton laughed resting his forehead on hers. "I had a feeling you would say that", he said.
Hotaru blushed scowling at him but Quinton only smiled at her and she couldn't help but smile back. "What about you? What's your answer"? He asked softly.
Hotaru looked up at him her gray eyes looking at his blue eyes she then softly smiled. "Man you're something", she said softly.
"I love you too".
Quinton smiled happily hugging Hotaru who hugged back then Quinton got the box and opened it and Hotaru gasped to see promise rings in it. "I asked Darka to size these at a jewelers for me 3 days before father went missing so when you would come back for a visit I would talk with you", he explained.
Hotaru was speechless as Quinton took one ring. "I promise you Hotaru I wont hide anything from you I wont run away from help you, your sisters, and the others give to me and my brothers and I promise you I wont leave your side", he said.
Hotaru had tears coming down as she smiled at him. "That's all I ask", she said.
Quinton put the ring on her while she put the other ring on for him. "But you should leave with your family at best that I can understand and I'll wait for you until you get back", she smiled.
Quinton looked surprised but smiled. "Thank you", he said.
Hotaru smiled back as she hugged him tightly and Quinton hugged back both happy.
"Aww I seriously want to cry".
The others were spying on Hotaru and Quinton watching the whole scene Darka and Manami rubbing their eyes. "Finally they got together all these years of beating around the bush was driving me crazy", Quattro hissed.
"I have to agree with you there Thomas", Manami nodding in agreement with her friend.
"Hey all that matters is that those two are together now", Trey said.
"That's right oh I can't wait for the wedding", Darka said happily.
"Oh I am so going to plan it"! Manami said happily.
"I want to help too"! Rio said happily.
"Are you serious"?!
They all meeped and looked to see Hotaru and Quinton looking at them Hotaru glaring. "You guys are so dead"! She yelled.
"Uh oh. Start running"! Manami yelled.
"Don't need to tell us twice"! Yuma yelled.
They began running away from Hotaru yet couldn't help but laugh sure they were still in the middle of a battle but they would all pull through together as friends, family, and a great team.
