Kevin: BANANA! *TNT goes off*
G.U.N, otherwise known as Guardian Unit of Nations. Which was...a kinda ironic acronym for them...But nonetheless...they've seen better days as Station Square, the city that one of the main bases it had was located, was still recovering after a big attack from Eggman...back when he was still in power, and STILL had the Dark Legion and Mecha Sally under his control.
But right now, we focus on a certain black hedgehog and his team, Team Dark. Said team was helping out, searching for any remaining survivors of the attack. The restoration took a few weeks due to some delays, but the progress was going slowly.
"That should be the last of them," Rouge sighed a bit as a few G.U.N soldiers carried an injured man off, "Right?"
-Scanning area- Omega spoke as he looked around.
Shadow didn't say anything as he leaned against a large piece of rubble, the hedgehog's eyes closed. Ever since that battle against the Zeti-controlled Nicole, things seemed a bit...different. He wasn't sure, but things felt...different. As if something was...off...with everything.
"..You alright, Shadow?" Rouge asked as she looked over at the black hedgehog, "You've been quiet ever since we came back from New Mobotropolis."
"...It's nothing," Shadow answered as he opened one of his eyes to look at Omega, "Any luck, Omega?"
-Negative. Sensors indicate no more life forms in th- Omega began before he quickly turned left -Correction. Sensors indicate one life form 11 miles to the left a- his head sparked for a bit before it exploded a bit, the E-series robot falling on it's 'butt -Sensors..b-b-broken..life f-f-f-form having hhhhhhigh level of unknown e-e-e-energy-
"Yikes…" Rouge's eyes widened, "I've never seen Omega act like this before. Not even around a Chaos Emerald."
"...I'll go check it out. Rouge, call for back-up and take Omega back to the base," Shadow ordered as he dashed off in the direction Omega informed them of.
"...He seriously needs to lighten up a bit," Rouge mumbled as she turned her communicator on, "Yeah...it's me. Omega blew a gasket sensing something, and I need help bringing him back to base."
-A...a….aA...A…-
"Hmm?" Rouge blinked as she looked over at the E-series Robot.
-A...Az….az...Azure…-
Shadow didn't say a thing as he ran down the direction Omega pointed out. One thing ran through his mind as he bolted down the street...what exactly did Omega sense? It couldn't be a Chaos Emerald due to the reaction Omega had, so what exactly was it?
"How long do you plan to continue following me?" Shadow demanded.
"So, you seem to have been aware I have been following you and for quite some time now. Lady Kokonoe told me that the power of Chaos could be used in such a way, but it is remarkable."
Shadow turned to see an elderly man approach, his body in a perfect posture. His face was aged with wrinkles, yet seemed to befit his calm, mannerly face. He wore a formal green outfit trimmed in yellow and a white shirt beneath. White gloves hid away his hands with one over his chest, a cloth draped over it. Shadow took note that he wore a pink ribbon in his silver hair's wolf-tail, the hair properly combed and tended to to befit his mannerly appearance.
"Greetings, Lord Shadow," the man greeted.
"...How do you know my name?"
"Your name has quite the history behind it. Many have mentioned the leader of Team Dark whilst I traverse the city, procuring fresh ingredients for milady's daily tea," the man informed.
"...Rouge is the leader; I'm just the muscle."
"Then you must not hear what many in the city believe you to be," the man shook his head, "Oh, how rude of me. My name is Valkenhayne, Valkenhayne R. Hellsing. Loyal butler to her Lady Rachel Alucard."
"And I give a shit why?" Shadow asked, uncaring.
"It is quite simple, Sir Shadow," the scent of roses filled Shadow's nose as the full moon shined down upon the courtyard of roses he stood within.
Shadow turned to see Valkenhayne, pouring a cup of tea. He placed it down upon an aged, ornate table yet did not look a day over its completion day. Sitting upon an ornate, European throne with a red cushion, was that of a young girl who looked to be no older than twelve. Her long, golden-blond hair was done into two ponytails, held up by black ribbons that stuck up like rabbit ears. Her body was clad within an elegant black dress, trimmed in reds and white with a large red bow hiding away her neck and bits of black on the skirt resembling that of the wings of a bat.
"I require your aide in a matter," the young girl informed, opening her eyes to reveal they were the same blood red as his own.
"I don't care...vampire." he spoke.
"I must say, it has been a while since I last Observed one such as you," the girl noted, amusement in her eyes, "A being created through an amalgamation of Chaos, science, magic, and the energy of the Black Arms."
"...How do you know of them?" Shadow frowned.
"I know quite a bit about everything you are involved with," she informed, "Just as I do with the one you were going towards. Had Valkenhayne not brought you here on my orders, even your Immortal being would have perished against him."
"...Him?" Shadow raised an eyebrow slightly.
"He is considered a Destroyer by many and he has proven so by destroying entire military complexes in a mere hour each," the girl stated before taking out a rolled up paper and had Valkenhayne give it to Shadow, "To translate the currency, a single Platinum Dollar is equivalent to ten thousand Rings or ten thousand Mobiums."
"...I don't care for money."
He still opened the paper to just see who this 'he' was. He frowned. The man with silver hair on the paper...was horrible to look at.
"My apologies for the terrible image," Valkenhayne informed, "It is not one of the...err...better images of young Ragna. But, I do believe my Lady Rachel does have her reason to show you this poster"
"Still don't care, I'm called the ultimate lifeform for a good reason."
"And he is known as 'BloodEdge' and 'The Destroyer' for a good reason as well," Rachel informed, "For he is with something that even immortals fall to."
"...I've faced things more powerful than him. Besides, I don't care if he throws the first punch he starts the fight, simple as that little girl," he scoffed, "So get this pointless lecture over with. What do you want and how the hell does it benefit me?"
"..." Rachel stood, the table gone, as the throne and cushion turned into a large, tubby cat and a fat red bat respectively, "Nothing lies on the road you travel along. I shall scold you for a bit. Fight me with all your power, Mr. Shadow."
"No. I don't have a reason to fight you without a reason. I'm done here. I'm going home." he frowned one thing he hated people who played around with him.
He used Chaos Control...but ended up just on the other side of the courtyard.
"You believe you have a choice in avoiding your scolding," Rachel noted, the amusement in her eyes not leaving, Where we are, you can only leave the way you came, such as you walk in, you walk out. You came by Valkenhayne, you can only leave by Valkenhayne" Shadow jumped to the side, avoiding a pink bolt of lightning...leaving no damage to the ground, "The grounds are warded against damage, so do not hold back."
'...Tch. fine…" Shadow scoffed a bit as he got into position, "Just don't complain when you lose."
=Shadow Vs Rachel Alucard=
Stage - Moonlight Castle - "It is a great point of wisdom to find out one's own folly. The death and the life are all equivalent."
"Come, Mr. Shadow, I do hope that you are ready," Rachel informed, turning the cat into an umbrella.
"This is pointless," Shadow frowned a bit as he got ready.
=THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING - REBEL ONE - ACTION!=
Shadow jumped back from a set of three lightning bolts aimed for him.
"Chaos Spear!" Shadow shouted as he moved one of his arms forward, summoning multiple energy arrows that headed towards Rachel.
A soft breeze blew just before the arrows hit. The smoke quickly settled to reveal Rachel missing. Shadow barely caught the large white drill-like spike with red bottom Rachel stood upon before throwing it and her ahead. Rachel gently landed on her feet as the drill turned into the little red bat.
"Tiny Lobella," Rachel stated as the red bat fired a red cannon shot at him.
Shadow dodged with a run, getting up close to grab Rachel. He grunted as he was knocked away, the girl's bat-like additions on the bottom of her dress having shifted into a massive spike ring at the last second. Shadow landed before grunted as pink lightning slammed into him. Turning to his left, he saw a pink lightning rod resembling the bat.
"George XIII," Rachel held a hand out.
A gold ring of energy appeared on the ground before Shadow before a plume of smoke came out, revealing a frog that went up to his knees in height. It let out a croak before Shadow grunted as he was electrocuted once more. He kicked the frog away as he glared at the amused Rachel.
"I tire of this," Rachel informed, "You truly believe yourself to be quite powerful, and yet I see nothing that proves it. How you are one of the Nine I cannot see."
"One of the Nine? ...You're making little to no sense," Shadow growled a bit in annoyance.
"Then show me how strong you really are, and perhaps you will learn."
"I don't fight for you, little girl or your amusement."
Rachel shook her head, "I am one hundred and ten years of age. You are the child amongst the three of us."
"Fine...Old hag."
Shadow noticed that while Rachel's amused look was still in her eyes, her mouth was a thin line now.
"Time to repent," Rachel stated.
For a brief instant, Shadow swore Rachel was overshadowed by a white and red-tinted crest resembling a rose in blood surrounded by vines and a seal. She made a small twirl and Shadow's eyes widened. He finally let out a cry as the strongest bolt of pink-tinted lightning raced through his body. The cat-turned-umbrella coughed out a bit of smoke, singed from being channeled through.
"I believe you require some punishment," Rachel stated as a pink seal forced Shadow against a large cemetery cross, the sinister grates circling it crackling with magic before beams of pink-tinted lightning repeatedly assaulted him.
"Kneel before me, ."
=ASTRAL FINISH!=
"...Ow." Shadow coughed out, smoking.
"Oh, mistress, he's still awake," the black cat noted.
"I've fallen from a space station to the ground... That was a taser compared to that fall."
"Mr. Shadow, haven't you once promised Maria that she could rely on you? And then said the same to Hope Kintobor?" Shadow's eyes widened, "At your current power, you would be only a hinderance."
"...You...just crossed the line." he snarled as darkish red aura came off him.
"Oh calm yourself. You grow angry too quick, just as Ragna," Rachel observed before Shadow's body froze, "It seems that you will need to learn from this. Listen without babbling. To the very end, try to keep yourself as a living being, as a Mobian. Even if you can't do it. Even if you can't endure it anymore." she waved a hand and a gold magic seal appeared beneath Shadow, "Of ancient tales from walls of caves to legends told on floating images, time is something one cannot avoid. To the past with you and let your thousand lessons from this defeat be learned." she gave him a pity-filled look, "Try hard, Shadow the Hedgehog."
With that, she turned away. Shadow let out a roar as he managed to break the magic binding him, only for his fist to shatter a young oak tree. Looking around, Shadow found himself no longer in the strange courtyard of eternal night, but a large forest with a light fog.
"...What's going on?" Shadow demanded as he looked around, "Where am I?" looking down, he saw a note taped to his patch of white fur, "...That rabbit…!"
'To Mr. Shadow: Do be patient. After all, you have well over an eon till I am born and longer still till you can face Ragna. Lady Rachel Alucard, Head of the Ancient and Noble House of Alucard.'
"An eon?" Shadow repeated, narrowing his eyes and trembling in anger, "An eon!?" he tore the note in two, "THAT BITCH!"
"T'was that necessary, Princess?" the cat asked.
"Indeed. As he was, Terumi would make short work of him, as would the other dangers he and the others will soon face," Rachel informed as she looked upon the reflection of her tea table, showing the very area Shadow had been plucked from to be brought here, "He is already here once more."
"And here I thought you were mad at finally being called an old hag, milady," the red bat noted before Rachel grabbed him and threw the bat into the distance, "I'M SORRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYY~~~~!-!-!-!"
"...Who's following me?" Shadow groaned, feeling something following him since he busted up that sick slave camp. Those assholes wanted to use underage children for…"entertainment"...how sickening.
Silence was the hedgehog's response, making frown further.
"...Show yourself now." he said, "I can hear you breathing." he groaned not needing the headache.
He got silence once more.
"...Ugh...I don't need this," Shadow groaned.
He was about to leave when he heard a twig snap and a small yelp. He managed to turn in time just before the follower could hide again. It was a young hedgehog, possibly just turning fourteen. She quills were matted with dirt and small bits of grime, hiding their real coloring from him, but she did have gentle brown eyes. He frowned as he noted the tatters she was wearing as 'clothes' and that she was barefooted.
"One of the slaves?" he asked, "What are you lost?"
"Um...I...I wanted to come with you," the girl informed.
"Why?" he asked.
"Y...You saved all of us who were captured by them," she informed, "You didn't have a reason to do so, but you still did."
"Don't you have family to go home to, child?"
"They were killed before my eyes when I was five. I've been with those men for nine years."
"Hmph. Fine then. I have no control over your actions. Follow me if you wish, if you live long enough to my or your next birthday maybe I'll ask for your name. Well...as long as you survive."
The hedgehog smiled at Shadow and was quick in walking over to stay behind him.
(Years later)
"Something bothering you, Sir Lancelot?"
Shadow looked up from his sword. The blade was as black as his quills, maybe even darker, with bits of layered gold on the thin guard.
"Nothing much," he said, placing his sword away, "It's just been awhile since that...other Arthur showed up and saved our Arthur."
"Aye," the echidna in red armor nodded, "At first, did you think he was actually our ruler like I did?"
"I think...I shall never bow to another again." he said, "Though I do thank him for his services to the crown."
"He also humiliated your boy."
"At least he didn't try what you did," Shadow frowned.
"Once again, that is something from my family's history of keeping our honour," the echidna frowned.
"Now now." a female cat in royal-like lilac armor intervened, "It's all a matter of honour with us, Lancelot. Thou hast been tough on your child a lot lately."
"How I raise the knave is none of your concern woman."
"...Did thou just call me 'woman' again?" the cat narrowed her eyes.
"Uh-oh. Percival's mad again," the echidna began to back away.
"In this life and the next." Lancelot frowned. "Little kitten."
"Little...kitten?" Percival repeated, her left eye twitching as fire began to appear on her body.
"Now we are both doomed!" the echidna screamed, "All for themselves!"
"Go play with the knave, if you please. I need to check on Arthur." Lancelot scoff as he vanished using his 'Soul Surge' as his allies called it.
"...Gawain…" Percival again.
"I'll go ready the field…" Gawain sobbed quietly, knowing he was going to be the ventee for the venter.
Shadow kicked down the door to the library and found his target.
"Again? That's the tenth door this week!" his target frowned.
"You've been enslaved and replaced by a demonic armor. Someone needs to check on you every 5 seconds."
"Hey, it was not my fault I got captured," his target pouted.
"It would've helped if you mentioned you had no idea how to find Excalibur."
"True…" his target blushed, "But still, do you have to break the doors down? We just finished the repairs."
"Send the bill to my future self." he said.
"...I still do not understand the meaning of that saying of yours."
"Who cares? Last time I said a comment, you accused me of sleeping with your wife." he scoffed, recalling that incident.
-Flashback-
"My Queen, you're lovely as ever. It would be an honor if you would grace this lowly knight with a dance." Shadow bowed.
"Are you trying to seduce my wife?"
"I am trying to be nice as I know...thou cannot dan…"
"Seize him! He is trying to steal the queen!"
-end flashback-
"Eh-heh-heh-heh…" his target laughed sheepishly, putting a hand behind her head, "At least with that display, you were promoted to the Round Table…"
"You're so overprotective, Queen Arthur."
"King!" the navy-blue hedgehog corrected, "My beloved Guinevere is the Queen."
"Nothing wrong with having two queens." Lancelot said, "It's fine being so...free."
"True. But I like being called 'King,'" Arthur giggled, "And with my armor, no one even knows that I am a girl aside from the Knights, the servants, my beloved yellow angel, and the one who looks like me that talked funny." she smiled, "He was a laugh riot with Caliburn."
"You do owe him a lot. maybe you shall name your child after him..if you ever have one."
"That I do. And you think I would be foolish as to not name my first-borne son or daughter after him?"
"You said it not me."
"Grr…! Well, try as you might Lancelot, but my beloved sister Morgan Le Fay said she has discovered a way to give me and my queen our first baby."
"Your sister cannot be trusted," Shadow frowned.
"How dare you! Always with thinking so bad of her. Why? She has been nothing but helpful to this land!"
"I'm only speaking the trut…"
"Get out and speak ill of my beloved Morgan again and ye shall taste my wrath!"
Shadow snorted as he left. Two days later, he was given a bill for all the doors repaired in the castle. Which he quickly tossed into a mountain of other unpaid bills he ignored as he entered his abode near his mother Nimue's lake.
"Woman, I have returned." Shadow frowned.
"Another argument about Morgan Le Fey again, dear?" a voice asked.
"Seeing as you're the only one who believes me about my origins what do you think? Maya."
"True," a hedgehog whose quills were as pure white as Shadow's were pure dark noted as she walked over, a fine red dress on her figure while her brown eyes had a bit of amusement and concern in them, "I'm guessing it went a little worse than last time."
"Well, it hasn't gotten to the point where legends say I steal the queen and betray Arthur so i say it went good." he said brushing off some dirt.
"You got into a fight with Gawain?" Maya stated.
"Please...he's my best friend compared to his reincarnated self."
"I still find that hard to believe, my knight of the night," Maya noted, "But it is rather amusing. To think in two lives, he would still be a guardian."
"And yet you believe anyway, my little angel of the night." he smirked.
Maya giggled, "Come. I nearly have dinner ready. I just need to add the spices."
"The boy hasn't been home in months. Will you finally wear that naked apron trick i taught you?" he asked playfully.
Maya blushed, "W-Well...It has been quite sometime since I last wore it. Last I did, I do believe it was how Gallahad was conceived."
"Maybe you should have another child. He's been disappointing lately."
"How so?" Maya asked.
"Since his loss to Sonic, he's been...unfocused, stubborn and disrespectful towards his peers. It's like he's trying to prove something."
"Mayhaps the Knight of the Wind said something to him, something that has started to make Gallahad think of following his own path," Maya suggested.
"I care not what a man does, he needs to make his own choice. Like you did when you followed me around like a lost puppy." he said cupping her chin to make her look at his eyes.
"I...I was not like a lost puppy," Maya blushed.
"Oh yes you were and then you asked me for a certain wish on that 18th birthday of yours."
Maya giggled a little, "True. But, I know you don't regret it."
"For what you gave me, I can't allow you to be taken from me, not by old age, death or any other means." he told her.
"Oh, my beloved knight of the night. No matter what, I will always be here…" she laid a hand on his head, "...and in here…" she put her hand over his heart.
"I'll make sure of it." he said to her, lifting her up and carrying her off to the bedroom, "Prepare. It's been awhile since we were alone."
"Ah! Dear, wait! I left the fire on!" Maya giggled.
"Don't worry, I'll outheat it for…"
*knock knock*
"Oh for Maria's sake!" Shadow snapped.
"Okay. Whoever that is better have a good reason," Maya growled.
Shadow then went up to the door and opened it before blinking, "...Rabbit." he growled. "Is it really one of those occasional visits already?"
"My, my, Sir Lancelot, I do believe you do not enjoy my visits," Rachel noted, her cat in its umbrella state once more.
"You know if i get the sacred swords together i can negate your immortality." he smirked. "And then your head will be mine hag."
"True. But you have yet to get the others who bare them to acknowledge that I exist," Rachel noted.
"Oh, it's you again," Maya frowned, "Why am I not surprised it would be you when I was just about to be with my knight for the night?"
"Well this is my mother's land so no killing on her property." he said.
"An agreement the House of Alucard has always upheld," Rachel agreed.
"My mother is the second person to believe you exist. She seems to be an...Observer like you, only she does it much better."
"She has had eons to perfect how she Observes," Rachel informed, "And all Observers have their own unique ways."
"And will continue if my theory about her identity in the future is correct." Shadow said, "Anyway what do you want hag?"
*BZZRT*
*BONK*
"Tis rude to insult the age of a lady," Rachel and Maya stated in unison over the charred and bruised Shadow, a fresh dent in Maya's frying pan.
"...For that...you get the ropes tonight." Shadow frowned as he rubbed his new bump on the noggin, making Maya whimper before looking at Rachel, "And you? I told you after you showed up on my wedding night, that unless you're making her immortal I care not for your talk."
"Come now, Sir Lancelot, I merely check upon you time and time again to see how goes your thousand lessons," Rachel noted, "From what I can tell, you have only learned at most five."
"All I know is that the next time you come back, it better be to make Maya immortal. I don't know what you want or what you have planned, but if she suffers or dies then the name Alucard will never exist!"
"Oh, but Sir Lancelot, the House of Alucard already exists," Rachel smirked as Shadow blinked and she was gone.
"Not when I'm done with it. Good bye, rabbit." he growled.
"I hate when she just leaves like that," Maya sighed, "Always makes the room smell like too many roses."
"I hate her all together." he said, "And I mean what I said as well; I am not losing you."
"Oh come now. Even if you hate her, don't hate that her family was the one who created that nice Werewolf. Even you have to agree that his tea is both heavenly and hellish."
"How you have Tea with him when i'm out i do not know or care." he said, "Just don't let her in ever." he sighed. "...by the way...have you seen my pictures of my friend Rouge the bat?" he asked making Maya stammer.
"Uh...well...um...Eh-heh-heh-heh."
"You know if you're threatened by my relationship with he…"
"No! Not at all! I am not threatened by her at all!" Maya shook her head...until a picture of Rouge fell out of her sleeve, doodled with a missing tooth, a black eye, and a pirate's hat, "...Um...I can explain that. ...Gawain did it."
"Uh huh….Well, once I get you to my time, you shall have a wonderful opportunity to become her friend….Oh and now and then it's a custom for me and her to sleep like how you and i sleep in our time" he joked.
"Dear!" Maya exclaimed, aghast with that.
"You may join if you wish."
"...Only if she gets the ropes," Shadow nearly tripped at that.
'Now I know why those guys say joking with your lady is fun.' he thought, having fun a bit, "Very well, but you have to wear her outfit."
"And you have to wear mine."
"...Hmm...well it'd be no different from the time Maria needed a dress up doll." he shrugged, "or those undercover missions for G.U.N,"
"...You actually dressed as a lady?" Maya asked, cracking a small smile of amusement.
"One of our scientist even turned me into one thanks to some chinese herb...hold on." he said pulling out a picture showing it to Maya, "That's me as a female."
"..." Maya snorted in a laugh before she started giggling, "O-Oh my...You were turned into a lady."
"And this is my female form in Rouge outfit." he added, showing her a picture making her blush.
"...We need that herb!" Shadow was a bit startled by her shout.
"You are one crazy hog…"
"Well, it it makes boys girls, then it should make girls boys. Might make our nights more...enjoyable."
"Unfortunately for you, I lost that female form's virginity to…"
"Don't you da…"
"Rouge the Bat."
"Son of a billy goat!"
Shadow smirked as he kissed her, "My little angel of the night, you are fun to tease."
"One of these days, my knight of the night, one of these days," Maya cutely pouted, "Now take me on the counter or in the bed! You have teased me long enough!"
"I know where the herb is. I can have it by tomorrow." he teased again.
"...Fuck it," Maya stated before tackling the hedgehog and throwing his armor away, her dress soon following.
"Holy…!"
Meanwhile, back in the present, Rouge was waiting in the main hall for Omega, who was currently being repaired at the moment after what happened earlier. While she was waiting, she couldn't help but wonder where Shadow was.
-Systems online...functioning normally...Omega, the Ultimate E-Series is ready for murdering- Omega spoke, suddenly bursting into the room.
"...Omega...What did I, the Commander, Hope, and the janitor all tell you? Repeatedly?" Rouge scolded.
-This Unit's memory box is faulty. Where is the angry one?-
Rouge rolled her eyes, "He went out, looking for what you detected."
-This unit detects no Azure at the moment-
"Azure?" Rouge repeated.
=-That is none of your business' is what the strange glitch in my system is telling me-
"...Moving on."
-The bat lied. This unit cannot sense the life force of the angry one- Omega said, -Scans for Shadow the Hedgehog are absolutely negative-
"He must be out of your range," Rouge noted, "You did say that you can only detect Chaos Energy in a fifty-mile radius."
-I am linked to G.U.N satellites at the moment-
"You know that the satellites are glitchy with their scanners at the moment due to that weird event when Nicole went nuts," Rouge rolled her eyes.
-It was fixed by Miles Prower, who is smarter then most of our scientist- Omega said, -Very well, if we find no sign of the hedgehog's life you shall pay this unit 100 rings-
"...Did you just make a bet?"
-I am not programmed for betting-
"...I'm proud of you. Truly, I am. But no. And right now, I don't trust that fox," Rouge informed, "He's been...off...since we last saw him."
-Says the thief turned agent and back to thief and finally back to agent-
"Which is why I don't trust him at the moment," Rouge informed.
-If we do not find Shadow, you should learn to trust my logic-
"Oh, I trust it. After all, you were the one who figured out that puzzle the last time we had a day off," Rouge smirked, "And we got quite a nice price from the Station Square Museum for what we recovered at the end."
-Which is still hanging in your room-
"...You keep quiet about that, robo boy."
-I wi…-
=Team Dark, we've detected a strange energy source north of HQ. Whatever it is, it caused almost half of our machines to short out. You are to investigate and find the energy source= a voice ordered over the intercom.
'...Ugh. I was hoping to rest until Shadow got back, but it doesn't seem that way,' Rouge mentally groaned, 'You've gotta be...'
"...Kidding me. First the damn rabbit drops me in who knows where, then I lose track of Tao, and when I finally found a city, it looks like it's gone to shit...ugh…" a man with spiky white hair groaned as he walked through the battle ruined streets of Station Square.
The man seemed to be in his mid twenties and wore a deep scarlet/crimson jacket on top of a black sleeveless shirt and baggy black pants. A perpetual scowl was apparent on his face while his eyes were red and green in color. Multiple belts littered his attire while he wore black gloves over his hands, a red orb on the back of each glove. Completing his look was a sheathed sword strapped to the back of his waist. This was none other than Ragna the Bloodedge, the infamous Grim Reaper.
'Seriously. I don't even know why the hell the rabbit sent me to this place without even telling me what or where it is,' the man thought in slight annoyance, "...And if I don't find one living thing around this god damn city, I'm going to lose it!"
"Hold it right there!" a voice shouted.
"What the…" Ragna looked towards the direction of the voice and rose a brow, "...The hell?"
"Who are you?" a Mobian leopard demanded as he and various humans in G.U.N uniforms aimed their guns at him, "Are you one of Eggman's minions?"
"Eggman? Who the hell goes around calling himself 'Eggman?'" Ragna muttered as he glanced around, "Huh. Now that's interesting. Those are some really interesting antique guns you've got and you're a strange Leopard Beastkin if I've ever seen one."
"Don't change the subject, asshole!" the leopard snapped, "Answer my question, or you will be arrested in the name of G.U.N!"
"Gun? Tch. Must be some sort of subdivision of the NOL," Ragna muttered to himself before narrowing his eyes, "You seriously want to threaten me, kitty cat? Because I am not in the mood for this."
"After Eggman attacked us and Station Square, we're not in the mood either," the leopard growled, "So answer, or turn yourself in now."
"Okay, kitty cat, how about I go with the third option: kick your asses?" Ragna cracked his knuckles.
"...Wrong answer," the leopard frowned as he and his men aimed their guns at him, "Men, open fire now!"
"DEAD SPIKE!" Ragna roared, grabbing the handle of his sword.
He swung, unsheathing the blade to reveal it to be a large zabantou. As the guns fired, a dark energy trailed along the blade's edge. At the last second, a massive beast's head erupted from the ground, shielding Ragna from the bullets.
"What?!" the Leopard gasped before a shadow came over him.
He rolled out of the way of Ragna landing where he had been, blade poised to stab. More of the dark energy flared around Ragna's feet.
"GAUNTLET HADES!" Ragna roared as he did a rolling forward kick, slamming his feet into one of the men, shattering the helmet he wore while slamming him into the ground and letting Ragna see the gun the man released from the hit, "Bullets? Regular bullets? Man, they really are antiques if that's all they have for ammo."
"Wh-what the...what is he?!" one of the G.U.N soldiers gasped.
"What was that dark Energy?! Some form of Chaos Energy?!"
'Guess these guys are so down the list of NOL that they've never heard of Seithr,' Ragna thought with a smirk, 'I'm going to enjoy this.' "Guess you never got the wanted poster for me. Too bad."
"...So you're a wanted criminal then," the leopard growled as he pulled out a pair of pistols, "That gives us even more reason to take you in."
"Seriously? Unless you've got something stronger than regular bullets, then you're not going to be able to do much," Ragna smirked before jumping to the side as the leopard fired, "Lasers? Those things fire lasers?!"
"Correct. Courtesy of the scientist at G.U.N HQ," the leopard smirked a bit.
"...Well...Now you've got me interested," Ragna smirked before holding his sword out.
The Leopard smirked before his eyes widened at seeing the blade extend. The blade's extension revealed the hilt and back of the blade were actually one long pole. The blade tilted back ninety degrees before a blade of crimson energy formed from the bottom of the blade.
"Let's see how you handle me, then," Ragna smirked, easily holding the massive scythe in one hand.
"...You'll regret those words, criminal!" the leopard shouted as he opened fired.
Ragna swung his scythe, easily cutting through each laser. He had the scythe collapse back into a blade and the dark energy formed around a fist.
"Hell's Fang!" Ragna roared as he rocketed at the leopard, the dark energy covering his arm reshaping into the strange beast's head seconds before colliding with the leopard, knocking him away and into a building, breaking through the wall.
"Ahh! He got Commander Cyrell!" one of the soldiers panicked.
"Cyrell, eh?" the soldiers squeaked as Ragna looked at them, "Hey! Where the hell am I?"
"...Uh...Station...Square?" one of the men squeaked out.
"Okay. And which of the Hierarchical Cities is this place? I'm sure it's not the Seventh, Ninth, Twelfth, or Thirteenth since I've already been to those." Ragna stated, making the men blink in confusion.
"...Uh...we really don't know anything about Hierarchical cities...unless you count the home of the Raijuu and the Iron Dominion," one of the soldiers stated.
"Seriously? Then where the hell is this place?" Ragna demanded, turning his scythe on and making the men start sweating nervously.
"W-we told you already! It's Station Square!" one of the men yelped, "...And that the planet we're on is Mobius, and that I was the one who ate the last piece of pizza that was in the back of the fridge!"
"Damn it, Stan! I was saving that piece for dinner!" one of the soldiers barked.
"...Son of a bitch. The rabbit always threatened to send me to another world, but I didn't think she'd do that…" Ragna muttered to himself, disabling his scythe, "Okay, I think I've got more than enough for now from you guys. Now git!"
"Yes sir!" the men freaked as they picked up the knocked out leopard and fled.
"And one of you change your damn underwear! I can smell it from here!" Ragna added for good measure.
"Damn it Stan! You crapped yourself again?!" One of the fleeing soldiers exclaimed.
"It's not my fault that guy scares me!"
"Idiots…" Ragna scoffed as he looked up at the sky, "Okay, I'm on a planet I know jack shit about, and I have no idea how to get back...Ugh, might as well go find T-" he paused as what looked like a toy bat flew in front of him, "...The hell?"
The 'bat' seemingly squeaked as the heart on its chest flashed.
"...No seriously, the hell am I even looking at? It looks like it belongs in a…" Ranga began before the 'bat' exploded, "Son of a bitch!" he cursed as he leapt back from the explosion, his jacket slightly singed, "...Okay, what the hell?! What kind of idiot uses bats as bombs?!"
"Ouch. That 'hurt' you know," a voice spoke in slight sarcasm, making Ragna look at a nearby lamppost to see a rather...ahem, busty 'Beastkin' laying on top of it, "Saw what you did to those rookies theres. Honestly, Cyrell should watch that temper of his, otherwise he'll be out a job."
"...Oh great, another one of you freaky Beastkin," Ragna groaned as he stood defensively, "So what's with you? You going to try and take me in like those other guys?"
"Hmm? You honestly think I'm going to fight you? Please.." Rogue rolled her eyes before pointing behind the white haired man, "He's going to handle the fighting."
"What? Wh-" Ragna began before he rolled out of the way of a wave of fire, "The hell?! Who carries flamethrowers around?!"
-That would be me- a voice spoke, causing Ragna to turn around to who said that -I am designated E-123 Omega, the Ultimate E-Series Robot-
"...A robot? Seriously?" Ragna raised a brow, "And what's with calling yourself a Greek letter and a number? Because let me tell you, bub, that kind of naming pisses me off."
-...My creator gave me that name, so take it up with him, old man-
"...Did...did you just make a joke, Omega?" the bat blinked in surprise.
"HEY!" Ragna barked, "My hair's natural, dammit, you rusted can!"
-...Initiating Termination Mode- Omega frowned as his optics glowed bright red.
"Heh. Bring it," Ragna smirked, pulling his blade out in a reverse grip.
-...a blade such as that is insufficient to fight me with..but as the blue hedgehog once said 'whatever floats your boat'- Omega stated as he 'cracked' his knuckles.
"...Just be sure not to hurt him too much, Omega. We need him alive to find out who he is and such," the bat 'Beastkin' stated, "Or at least keep him busy until Shadow comes back."
-...I cannot guarantee the old man will come out unscathed, but I will comply- Omega replied as his optics glared at Ragna.
"...Okay. Just for that, I'm not going to recycle you after I tear you to shreds," Ragna growled.
RAGNA=THE=BLOODEDGE VS E-123=OMEGA
Stage: Station Square (Post-Attack) - We all dance in fire.
-Enemy Target acquired!- Omega declared, readying his weapons.
"I'm going to turn you into scrap metal, you damn metal bastard!" Ragna declared, readying his BloodScythe.
THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING - REBEL 2 - ACTION!
-Fire!- Omega shouted as his left hand went into his wrist and thrusted forward, unleashing a wave of flames at Ragna.
"DEAD SPIKE!" Ragna roared, the dark energy beast shielding him from the flames before he jumped over it, his blade in its scythe mode.
-I don't think so- Omega stated as a mini chained gun popped out of his opened wrist and opened fire, unleashing a wave of laser bullets.
"The hell?!" Ragna growled a bit as he used his sword to block the laser fire..
"Hey! Careful now!" the bat warned, ducking a reflected laser shot.
-Apologies, but I must terminate the target!- Omega shouted, pulling the mini-chain gun back into his wrist and his clawed hand returned, the E-series robot leaping right at Ragna as his claws spun like drills.
"Drills? Seriously?" Ragna raised a brow before the dark energy flared around his fist, "HELL'S FANG!"
The punch met drill. Rouge flew over the knocked back Omega, his arm missing.
"Heh. I've fought guys with drills before. Just gotta strike and overpower them at the right point," Ragna smirked.
"Damn. Whoever this guy is, he's good," the bat muttered to herself before Omega began to shake a bit, "Huh?"
"Aw great...Either the rusted trash can's blowing up or he's going to do some sort of shitty power boost," Ragna grumbled, "This feels like Omega-9 all over again…except it's not a gynoid fueled by a Cauldron."
-...Engaging full Termination Mode- Omega stated as parts of his body opened up, revealing various guns and missiles.
"Called it," Ragna facepalmed before sighing, "Can't believe I have to do this for a shitty robot." he grabbed his left arm near the elbow with his right hand, the back of his glove pointed ahead, "BLOOD KAIN!"
Rouge's eyes widened as she saw the orb on the back of his glove open, revealing an azure core under it. A pulse of power came off Ragna before a dark red/black aura began to peel off his body. Ragna coughed up a bit of blood.
"Bring it on!" Ragna called out.
"Ugh...that woman is restless…" Shadow groaned a bit as he walked through the mist shrouded forest, "I might be the Ultimate Lifeform, btu she's a freakin' beast when she's in the mood."
As he made his way through the forest, he came across what looked like a moss covered sign, teh hedgehog raising an eyebrow slightly as he moved the moss out of the way to see what it said.
"Here lies the ruins of the ancient city of...Soleanna?" Shadow read, "That name...why does it sound familiar to me?"
His curiosity slightly peeked, he decided to walk forward and decided to check it out. After a few minutes of walking, he came across what looked like the ruins of a castle. He began to look around before he saw a strange symbol on the ruin walls. It seemed to resemble some sort of angelic being.
"...This symbol…" Shadow began as he walked towards it, "Where have I seen it before?"
He examined the symbol for a few seconds before he lightly touched it, causing it to light a bit as the area began to rumble. Within a second, a part of the wall began to open.
"...What the…?" Shadow began before he tensed as what looked like dark smoke bursted out of the opened door. Once the smoke died down a bit, Shadow felt cautious...he sensed something new in the area. Something...dark...ancient...evil, "...What the hell was that? ...I need to see the king and ask her about this place…"
With that, Shadow began to leave the area...though one thing didn't' seem right...the black hedgehog's shadow seemingly remained on the ground..or what appeared to be Shadow's...shadow as a pair of slitted eyes opened up in them, followed by a low, dark chuckle.
"I….is...is that...all...you got…" Ragna panted as he glared at Omega, holding his stomach which was sporting a few holes from some of the lasers.
Rouge slowly poked her head out from behind what had once been a building that had actually been intact after the assault from Eggman, only to have been used by Ragna to try to crush Omega. Said robot was missing various parts of his body, exposed wiring sparking every now and then. Half his head had been caved in while he was now missing both arms.
-I c-BZRT! C-c-c-can still fight…- Omega managed to say, his voice staticy and glitchy -Bzrt! D-d-d-damage outtake at 88% a-fuck percents!-
"...Yeah...you're done…" Ragna scoffed as he sheathed his sword, "Yeesh...for a robot, you can hit like a fucking truck…"
-Shut...u-bzrt! Your face is forbidden!- Omega randomly shouted.
"Yeah. You're done," Ragna snorted, "Yo, batgirl! You might wanna take him to his mechanic or something now. Otherwise, I'm going to recycle him for a bit of cash for something to eat."
"...Ugh...this is the second time he's had to be repaired," Rouge groaned as she walked up the badly damaged Omega, "The first time was when his circuits got friend when he sensed this...Azure thing or whatever…after that, Shadow seemingly dissa-" she paused when she noticed him looking around, "..Are you ignoring m-"
"Shh."
'..Don't you shush m-"
"Seriously, shut up. What is that?" Ragna stated, his eyes narrowing as he heard...something, "Whatever it is, it's making me a bit nervous."
"...What're you..?" Rouge began before she heard someone...singing?
"My eyes…..are filled with curiosity…" a voice said from the shadowed parts in the area, "You think….that you have power over me…" a head seemingly began to rise out from the shade created by some ruined buildings, "In this life….there's no more room for you and me...so turn away...or face this day….with….me…."
Ragna and Rouge tensed as they stared at the figure before them. Its body seemed to be made of dark crystals, yet also seemed organic. Rouge's eyes widened as she noticed how similar it was to Shadow's shape. Its 'muzzle' was a tainted white/blue with no mouth or nose while the areas that had been red on Shadow were a dark-tainted blue while its eyes were jade and demonic, the reds in them quite visible. It wore no gloves, exposing the crystalline claws, while its feet ended in just a clump of crystals.
"What...the…" Rouge whispered.
"Heh…greetings, Team Dark…" the figure greeted as his gaze turned towards Ragna, "And greetings to you as well...Wielder of the Azure…"
Ragna tensed a bit as he glared at the crystalline 'creature' before him. One thing went through his mind as he stared at it...what in the holy hell was it?
SZ:...Well...we just finally finished this chapter, and things are already f*yay*king ominous...the f*yay*k?!...okay, who's the wise guy who bought the Flutter-censor machine?
Dave the Minion: …*chuckles sheepishly before turning it off*
Stuart the Minion: *walks over and punches Dave's shoulder, a frown on his face*
GT: Ominous is right, SZ. What the hell is going to happen next?
SZ: I dont' know...I...I don't' think even a preview is enough to handle what's going on….man, and I thought FiT had cliffhangers and ominous moments...such as the ending of the current chapter of said story with...no no...I won't mention 'him'
GT: Then don't. No preview this time, people, so enjoy speculations!
SZ: Hai...and sorry for the long wait on this chapter, folks. Things...sorta got complicated for it. First there was one thing involving a meeting between Ragna and Shadow, but that got dropped..and then we moved onto other stories, such as FiT for me, and Heart dot Batch for GT.
GT: And now I am working on the reboot for Hoshienger.
SZ: Cool. What made you decide to do a reboot for said story?
GT: Oh, I'm part of this group doing a series of interconnecting stories called 'The Infinite Loops.' Someone in the Megaman-related Infinite Loops actually is a fan of Hoshienger and, after looking it over, I...I have to admit that I went way too far off from what I had intended to do. Added too many things to it, didn't keep things, did poor work on it really. So, while I am keeping the original up, I am going to do a reboot for it. First chapter may be up before this month ends.
SZ: Neat..and funny thing, I was planning on doing a reboot of my first story, Freedom Force since..well, things got WAY out of hand in that, so I had to cancel it...but it's up for adoption and such. And as for the reboot...well, technically it's AR...though I didn't know what to do with it..until GT created Omniverse Underground.
GT: Aw shucks…*blushes*...Glad to see a story of mine inspired someone.
SZ: No prob man. You're one of the people that inspired me to write fanfics to begin with. I read one of your stories back in high school, and then I refound you a few years later, and read Cybernetic Blue Blur, CBB: B, and later on, CBB: BR.
GT: Well, the Cybernetic Blue Blur series was the first really story I've ever made. I was really into Sonic Underground and Megaman Battle Network at the time and I began to think 'Huh. What if Megaman was Sonic-reincarnated?' So that happened. Anyways, everyone, see you in the next chapter of Azure Rebellion.
SZ: Hai. I'm Seanzilla115...and until this mini-arc's over...the Omakes will be on delay still...ahem, but again, I'm Seanzilla115….*nudges GT*and I'm Seanzilla115!..*waves a hand in front of GT's face* Seriously GT, what's wrong...with…*pales upon seeing the image on the computer, showing Nightmare Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy from FNaF 4*...oh….Crap baskets.
