"Are we all we are

Are we all we are"

I walked onto the stage and saw the shocked faces of all my fellow peers.

"Cut to now, holy wow

When did everything become such a hell of a mess?

Maybe now, maybe now, can somebody come and take this off my chest?

I know you think it's not your problem (problem)

I know you think that God will solve them (solve them)

But if your shit is not together

It'll never be you and me, plant the seed

Open up and let it be

We are the people that you'll never get the best of

Not forget the rest of, rest of (Ooohhh)

We've had our fill, we've had enough, we've had it up to here

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

We are the people that you'll never get the best of

Not forget the rest of, rest of (Ooohhh)

Just sing it loud, until the kids will sing it right back

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

Seven seconds, seven seconds

That is all the time you got to make your point

My attention, my attention's

Like an infant tryin to crawl around this joint

I know we're better than the masses (masses)

But we're all followin' our asses (asses)

And if our shit is not together

It'll never be you and me, plant the seed

Open up and let it be

We are the people that you'll never get the best of

Not forget the rest of, rest of (Ooohhh)

We've had our fill, we've had enough, we've had it up to here

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

We are the people that you'll never get the best of

Not forget the rest of, rest of (Ooohhh)

Just sing it loud, until the kids will sing it right back

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

Four - that's how many years it took me to get through the lesson

That I had to do it all on my own

Three - that's how many Hail Mary's they would pray for me

Thinkin' I was gonna end up all alone

Two - for second chances that you've given me,

Can it be, lucky me, lucky me, now let's go

One - it's what we are, it's what we are

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

We are the people that you'll never get the best of

Not forget the rest of, rest of (Ooohhh)

We've had our fill, we've had enough, we've had it up to here

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

We are the people that you'll never get the best of

Not forget the rest of, rest of (Ooohhh)

Just sing it loud, until the kids will sing it right back

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

We are the people that you'll never get the best of

Not forget the rest of, rest of (Ooohhh)

We've had our fill, we've had enough, we've had it up to here

Are we all we are

Are we all we are

We are the people that you'll never get the best of

Not forget the rest of, rest of (Ooohhh)

Cut to the future, sing it loud, and take the power back

Are we all we are

Are we all we are"

I finished the song and the crowd is erupting in applause and some people have their mouths hanging open, including Tucker and Jazz, who are standing with Danny in the front row.

"Thank you Casper High! I know you're all probably like "What the hell? The goth Sam Manson sings?! Well, I do, so suck it if you don't like it!" I hear a lot of cheering after I said that. "Anyway, I have a friend out there is loves to sing just as much as I do and I want to give them their chance to sing one song with me. So, is Valeria Grey anywhere out there?" That's right, she sings, I caught her singing in the locker room a few times when she thinks everyone left. Also, she left her notebook in class one and it was full of original songs, and they were really good!

"Val, please come up." I said in the microphone.

"She's over here!" someone shouted and I looked over in the direction and I see Val coming up towards the stages stairwell.

She walked over to me. "How did you know." She had slight tears in her eyes.

"Hey, I have many talents, including observation." I smiled and gave her a hug. I ran over and grab an extra microphone from a stand backstage. I ran back and handed it to her. "You ready?"

"Born ready, but what are we singing?" she asked with confusion in her face.

"Oh, I think you know this one very well, it's a duet." I gave her a mysterious smile. You see, I may or may not have snagged one of her original songs and had it arranged so we could perform together. I nodded to the band and they started playing. Once they started, Valeria looked at me with shock.

"Surprise." I whisper.

"Sam: La la, la la

You were the popular one, the popular chick

It is what it is, now I'm popular-ish

Valeria: Standing on the field with your pretty pompom

Now you're working at the movie selling popular corn

Sam: I could have been a mess but I never went wrong

'Cause I'm putting down my story in a popular song

Both: I said I'm putting down my story in a popular song

[Chorus:]

My problem, I never was a model,

I never was a scholar,

But you were always popular,

You were singing all the songs I don't know

Now you're in the front row

'Cause my song is popular

Popular, I know about popular

It's not about who you are or your fancy car

You're only ever who you were

Popular, I know about popular

And all that you have to do is be true to you

That's all you ever need to know

Catch up 'cause you got an awful long way to go

Catch up 'cause you got an awful long way to go

Sam: Always on the lookout for someone to hate,

Both: Picking on me like a dinner plate

Valeria: You hid during classes, and in between

Both: Dunked me in the toilets, now it's you that cleans them

Valeria: You tried to make me feel bad with the things you do

It ain't so funny when the joke's on you

Sam: Ooh, the joke's on you

Got everyone laughing, got everyone clapping, asking,

"How come you look so cool?"

'Cause that's the only thing that I've learned at school, boy (uh huh)

I said that that's the only thing that I've learned at school

[Chorus:]

Both: My problem, I never was a model,

I never was a scholar,

But you were always popular,

You were singing all the songs I don't know

Now you're in the front row

'Cause my song is popular

Popular, I know about popular

It's not about who you are or your fancy car

You're only ever who you were

Popular, I know about popular

And all that you have to do is be true to you

That's all you ever need to know

(that's all you ever need to know)

Catch up 'cause you got an awful long way to go

Catch up 'cause you got an awful long way to go

It's all you ever need to know

You're only ever who you were

It's all you ever need to know

You're only ever who you were

(It's all you ever need to know)

It's all you ever need to know

Popular, I know about popular

It's not about who you are or your fancy car

You're only ever who you were

Popular, I know about popular

It's not about who you are or your fancy car

You're only ever who you were

Popular, I know about popular

And all that you have to do is be true to you.

That's all you ever need to know...

(That's all you ever need to know...)"

Screaming and clapping and roaring. That's all I hear, and it feels great.

"Thank you, so much." Valeria said and I hug her.

"You can go backstage; they take you to a sit by Danny. And you're welcome, you're very talented." She smiled and walked off.

"Ok, let's give Val another hand." I yelled and everyone screamed and roared for her. I smiled.

"Ok, next is a song for anyone who's ever taken the walk of shame!" the music started.

"One step, two steps,

Counting tiles on the floor

Three steps, four steps,

Guess this means that I'm a whore

Uh-oh,

Hell no,

How long 'til I reach the door?

Fuck me,

My feet are sore

I'm wearing last night's dress and I look like a hot ass mess

Although my hair looks good 'cause I haven't slept yet!

Make the elevator come a little faster

I'm pushing all the buttons, but nothing's happening

Please God don't let anybody see me

Please God I'll do anything you ask of me

I promise, no more walks of shame

So walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)

Walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)

Last night's bubblegum,

No more bubbles, no more yum

Where'd I get the wristband,

Tell me there's no tramp stamp

One two three shoot,

No I know that shit ain't cute

But damn the man it sure is fun,

To party 'til the sun wakes up

Okay now raise two hands if you've ever been guilty

And clap clap clap clap clap it out if you've walked with me

Make the elevator come a little faster

I'm pushing all the buttons, but nothing's happening

Please God don't let anybody see me

Please God I'll do anything you ask of me

I promise, no more walks of shame

So walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)

Walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)

I shouldn't have let 'em take my keys, take my keys

They left me here

With too much beer.

My friends, they hung me out to dry.

It's not my fault, and that's why

I'm doin' the walk of shame

Make the elevator come a little faster

I'm pushing all the buttons, but nothing's happening

Please God don't let anybody see me

Please God I'll do anything you ask of me

I promise, no more walks of shame

[2x]

So walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)

Walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)"

I sing about 4 more songs until I'm on my last one.

"Ok, so this will be my last song before Raven comes out, and it's kinda slow but personal. I hope you like it."

"Drinking wine and thinking bliss, is on the other side of this

I just need a compass and a willing accomplice

All my doubts that fill my head cascading up and down again

Up and down and round again, down and up and down again.

Oh, I've had my chances and I've taken them all.

Just to end up right back here on the floor.

To end up right back here in on the floor.

Pennies in a well, a million dollars in the fountain of a hotel.

Fortune teller that says maybe you will go to hell.

But I'm not scared at all...hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm

The cracks in the crystal, the cracks in the crystal ball.

Sometimes you think everything is wrapped inside a diamond ring

Love just needs a witness and a little forgiveness

And a halo of patience and a less sporadic pace and

I'm learning to be brave in my beautiful mistakes.

Oh I've felt that fire and I've been burned

But I wouldn't trade the pain for what I've learned

I wouldn't trade the pain for what I've learned.

Pennies in a well, a million dollars in the fountain of a hotel.

Fortune teller that says maybe you will go to hell.

But I'm not scared at all...hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm

Of the cracks in the crystal, the cracks in the crystal ball.

Irony, irony, this hate and love, hate and love

What it does to me, what it's done to me.

What is done...done

Pennies in a well, a million dollars in the fountain of a hotel.

Broken mirrors and a black cats cold stare,

Walk under ladders on my way to hell, I'll meet you there.

But I'm not scared at all, hmm...I'm not scared at all.

Of the cracks in the crystal, the cracks in the crystal ball"

"Thank you." I walked away from a stand ovation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW!

After I'm done with the stories I'm currently writing, I'm going to make a Danny Phantom based off of the book Anna and the French Kiss. Danny will be St. Clair and Sam will be Anna, Tucker will be Josh, and Valeria will be Rashmi. IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS BOOK, PLEASE DO YOURSEF A FAVOR AND READ IT, IT'S AMAZING! So, do you think my cross over sounds like a good idea? Please share your comments through reviews!

I owned none of those awesome songs.
