Paint

It was a typical day; both Aang and Katara were lounging around with Sokka and Toph in their house in Ba Sing Se. Aang was painting Momo as he played with a butterfly that let itself in through a window. Katara laid her head on Aang shoulder as he painted, watching, her eyes lidded.

Sokka abruptly stood up, closing his eyes and stretching with his arms back, starting to walk towards the door, "Okay. I'm meeting Suki at Iroh's shop, I'll be back in an hour." He opened the door and exited their house.

Toph jumped up as well, "I'm gonna go hang out with The Duke and Pipsqueak."

"Bye, Toph," Katara said, looking up from her position on Aang's shoulder.

"See ya!" The blind girl responded, also exiting the house.

Katara's face softened, nuzzling her face into the crook of Aang's neck, "We have the house to ourselves now," She closed your eyes and peacefully sat there.

Aang grinned, "Yep." He reached his arm over, tickling her side.

Katara's eyes widened as she jumped, slapping his chest, shouting, "Hey!"

The monk deviously grinned and grabbed his wet brush, holding it behind his back as he tickled her stomach. The waterbender laughed, squirming under his fast moving touch. She quickly reached for his hand, still laughing, trying to stop him. Aang thought quicker though. He grasped her hand and kissed her, smiling against her lips. She quickly fell into the kiss and closed her eyes, also smiling.

Aang took the opportunity to pull out his other hand, containing his almost dripping paint. He smirked and hugged Katara. Hearing her sigh, he gently but swiftly pulled her arm where he could see it, starting to paint on the back of it, soft enough that she couldn't feel it. He set the brush down and continued to hug her.

The couple stayed like that for a while afterwards, holding each other in their arms. Aang repeatedly checked Katara's arm, hoping that what he painted hadn't smeared. He was glad to find that it hadn't, and he smiled against her neck. Soon, it grew dark, and they both headed to their bedrooms after giving each other a firm, but gentle goodnight kiss.

Aang smirked and silently laughed, lying on his bed in his room.

Katara walked into her bedroom as well, shutting the door behind her, walking over to her bed. She was already in her night robe, so she plopped down on it and closed her eyes. Suddenly, her arm began to itch. She reached up to scratch it but was met by something slightly sticky, but also rough on it. She looked at it in confusion before realizing that it was writing.

She smiled and her eyes softened as she read it-

"I LOVE YOU"
