Just a quick one-shot that popped in my mind today, a few months ago, one of my friends (boy, but not like that) had said, "You look really pretty today," to me, so that's what inspired me. I hope you like it, I think it turned out pretty well. :)

You look really pretty today

Katara was silently reading a book under a tree near camp. Aang had sat down next to her with a smile on her face, slightly looking over at her to see what she was reading. Katara noticed this and smiled, scooting over to Aang and leaning against his shoulder as they both read from the book.

After a few minutes, Aang looked up and noticed how beautiful she looked with the sun shining down on her. He smiled lightly as he tucked a strand of her chocolate colored hair behind her ear.

She looked up, her dark complexion not hiding the fact that she was blushing.

Aang looked straight into her sapphire eyes and saw how much they sparkled, "Katara,"

"Hmm?" Katara hummed as she stared into Aang's eyes dreamily.

"You look really pretty today," He said, hugging her closer to him as she muttered an 'I love you,' while closing her eyes, a small smile forming on her lips..

"I love you, too,"

They both remembered that moment so many years ago.

Now they were lying in bed, their energy sucked out, waiting to pass through the world into heaven. Side by side, hand in hand.

Katara was reading another book, her frail, aged hands slowly turning the page to continue reading.

Aang looked over at his wife, taking in her beauty. Her dark mocha skin, her long gray hair pulled back in a braid, her beautiful sapphire eyes sparkling as they always did.

The old monk tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and gently squeezed her hand, causing her to look over at him dreamily.

"You look really pretty today," The avatar said, even though his voice was dry and weak.

Katara's wrinkled face smiled as she laid her head on his shoulder, "I love you," she muttered silently.

The man chuckled slightly; he smiled, "I love you, too,"
