164A/N: 90,000 hits! Yay! And with what I'm planning for my 15th anniversary is was perfect timing for this story. Anyways enjoy the chapter... sorry for not having more epic but kind of had writer's block for this one.
Chapter 36: Zoro's Skills
The two looked at each other ready for a fight. It was something that had to happen…
However that was when Mr. 1 caused blades to pop out of his arms.
"Great." Muttered Zoro, "Devil Fruit…"
Mr. 1 began to attack him the blades however Zoro fought back, and it was clear that he wasn't able to cut him.
"I ate the Dice Dice Fruit!" said Mr. 1, "My whole body is a sword."
He began to spin the blades, which Zoro realized was bad.
"Damn it!" he muttered.
The two clashed, with Mr. 1 spinning the blades he created like a buzz saw.
He knew what he had to do.
He had to make a run for it, it felt wrong and yet right at the same time.
"Stupid past life." He thought.
So he tired but it turned out that he could turn his feet into something akin to ice skates and skate around.
"You're scared aren't you?" asked Mr. 1, "For someone who was almost recruited into Baroque Works, I would have through you had more."
Zoro's eye twitched and turned around to fight him.
"I'm not running because I'm scared!" he growled out.
"Then why are you running?" asked Mr. 1.
"Why should UI tell you? You're my enemy." Said Zoro.
Mr. 1 just gritted his teeth.
As they fought Zoro realized something and mental banged his head on something.
Granted he really hadn't tried using it before, but he should have tried.
But then his eye twitched.
How was he going to use it.
"Great! I should have been practicing for things like this…" thought Zoro with his eye twitching.
He knew he had to use jutsus eventually, but right now he wasn't sure if he could.
However this was another problem in the fight.
He couldn't run away to plan, he wasn't sure if he could even use jutsus… great just great…
He looked around.
Maybe if he distracted him just enough he could figure out a plan.
He looked t the built around him. And it was perfect.
He cut down a pillar in front of Mr. 1.
Mr. 1 growled and cut the pillar out of the way.
But when he did he found a lot of other pillars cut down and pieces of building blocking his way.
He narrowed his eyes and cut away the broken pieces of building.
"All right." Said Zoro, "That won't hold him back for long."
He sat down the ground and began to think.
If he was a master strategist in his past life he should be one in this life, he took a breath.
Unfortunately… it was like… well…
A lighter that refused to light.
A car that refused to start.
A computer that wouldn't turn on.
A vacuum that just wasn't working.
A lawn mower that wasn't going to work.
"You have to be kidding me!" he yelled out.
Strategy was not going to work… like at all.
That was when suddenly he was sent flying while at being cut up.
He managed to get up and glare at Mr. 1.
Mr. ! turned his fingers into blades and began to attack him, Zoro blocked every single attack.
But of course he was cut multiple times.
"Damn it." He muttered.
"You know I heard things." Said Mr. 1, "The reason why you didn't want to join Baroque Works is that you wanted to be leader."
Zoro glared at Mr. 1, then smiled.
"Well look at where you're leader got himself. He's now a puppet to a mad man." Said Zoro.
Mr. 1 glared at Zoro.
"We both know it's the truth." Said Zoro, "That Orochimaru is in control."
Mr. 1 didn't answer just attacked, but Zoro did his best to block.
As he did he began to think back to something his sensei had told him.
That it was possible to cut steel.
"Maybe if I figure it out." Thought Zoro trying to fight back, but it wasn't working.
He just wasn't able to cut him.
But of course Mr. 1 was able to cute him.
And it was clear he was loosing blood fast.
"How long can you keep this up?" asked Mr. 1.
Zoro didn't answer, he just glared back.
But Zoro still tried to fight back, but it was clear he was on a loosing fight.
"I have to keep fighting!" he thought.
He couldn't lose here, not against him.
He had to stop Orochimaru.
However it wasn't enough and Mr. 1 hit him hard that he was on the ground bleeding.
However he heard something… he felt something.
It was like something was breathing.
He managed to get up and saw a nearby plant and motioned to slice a leaf.
But it didn't.
Which was his intention.
"Hey!" he called out.
He sheathed two of his sword.
Mr. 1 turned back to look at him.
"I still need to work on my ninja skills but I can beat you." Said Zoro.
Mr. 1 didn't answer.
"One final attack." Thought Zoro.
The two looked at each other, ready for one final attack.
Both of them attack.
"Lions Song!" said Zoro using his attack.
However when his attack hit, blood gushed from a wound appearing on Mr. 1's chest.
"How?" asked Mr. 1.
"Why should I tell you?" asked Zoro.
He began to walk away.
He sighed.
"I really have to work on my other skills." He thought as he was walking away, "If we want to beat Orochimaru."
Elsewhere Tashigi looked at Kenta in front of her.
"I've heard a lot about you… about how skilled with the sword you are…" said Kenta.
"You said that earlier." Said Tashigi.
"I know… but considering you used a very different weapon in your past life…" said Kenta.
Tashigi glared at him and got ready for their fight.
And with that Zoro managed to beat Mr. 1, and he realized he had to work on his other skills. He still had to help beat Orochimaru after all…
Though to be honest a part of him was unsure if he could consider himself the Strongest Swordsman in the World with those skills…
But right now Orochimaru was more important…
