Kyoka loved Izuku and Mina. She really did.

They were adorable curly cuties, hiding amazing bodies (well, her boyfriend was hiding his, her girlfriend usually flaunted hers most days), they were some of the sweetest people she knew and okay she really had to stop now cause if she kept going about all the things she loved she'd be here until the end of time.

Her point was, for all the things she loved about them, for all they were good at, she had to admit…

Gift giving was not their strong suit. Her birthday had rolled around and due to the timing, many students joked it was the true sign of their new year starting for the final time as they went into their third year.

Kyoka certainly hadn't expected anything for her birthday last year, not that she even deserved it after missing Izuku's (mainly because he completely failed to tell them it was even happening), and only managing to get a dancing leotard last minute of all things for Mina's.

Yeah that one had gone down great. Well genuinely it really had, she'd never forget the night… or the following night… or the night after. Mina had seemed to genuinely love it as well. Still, she could have done better than that if she'd just known and she knew it.

So, when her own birthday had rolled around and she'd gotten an empty tin meant for guitar picks and an All Might guitar that instead of playing proper notes played All Might's famous "I AM HERE" catchphrase in different notes, she assumed they were playfully trolling her for her terrible gifts.

She felt she'd made up for them quite well this year, getting Mina tickets to go see a dance group she adored live (turned out her mom had toured with them once, so Kyoka and Mina had even managed to get backstage and hang out with the group for a while. Needless to say, the pink skinned girl wouldn't let her embarrassed rocker girlfriend out of her grasp for quite some time after. They also didn't sleep much that night, for Mina was too busy repaying her the whole time.)

Izuku had been a bit harder to get a present for. Even if he didn't have a close relationship with All Might, if he wanted to spend time with the man he probably could just ask anyways. The fact he DID have a good relationship meant he didn't even need to ask to spend a lot of time with the number one pro which meant as far as Kyoka was concerned, All Might was too obvious AND too difficult of a route to go down. So she chose to go a subtler route, to give him something he'd want that she'd only found out from being close to him.

Well two things but one she couldn't share in polite company. The other was a limited edition Mandalay figurine. She chose not to question whoever designed it to be intimately detailed even under the skirt, she just accepted it and brought it to Izuku.

The reason she chose that? What most people didn't know about the green haired teen was there was a hero he idolized almost as much as All Might and had an entire dedicated collection of merchandise for as well: Mandalay of the Wild Wild Pussycats.

He'd explained to the rocker girl once the closest he could ever find to a quirkless hero to him was the telepath pro and had come to seriously look up to her in his younger years due to being a late bloomer.

Due to it being a pro heroine however and due to old bullies, it made it that much harder for him to be open about idolizing her as well, so his collection went hidden and he could only buy the items he wanted rarely.

His biggest irritant in his entire collection? A set of Wild, Wild Pussycats figures that were so rare and limited that the only times they were sold anymore were in extortionately high prices on bidding sites, that had no Mandalay due to some old bullies stealing it.

She (somehow) managed to pry answers out of Bakugou even though it cost her a few bruises to do so and had actually managed to track down the kid responsible for stealing the figurine. Kyoka found out they were responsible for more than just petty theft. There was a reckoning,

Then it all finally ended when she'd returned the exact figure to Izuku on his birthday with a kiss on the cheek. Once again she found herself trapped in a hug prison slowly squeezing the life out of her as Izuku cried for the first time in months and wouldn't stop thanking her.

Her two gifts for her own birthday today laid before her. A Guns N' Roses T-Shirt from Mina that was a size too big (no doubt intentional, Mina had a thing about seeing Kyoka in oversized clothing, as did Izuku), while Izuku had gotten her a Present Mic figurine.

She then realized they were just terrible gift givers, and she was staring at them for the moment as Izuku and Mina hugged either side of her, in what their boyfriend had dubbed last year as "Birthday snuggles."

"Happy birthday, Kyo." Mina hummed happily as she nuzzled her head into the purple haired birthday girl's stomach. Izuku nuzzled his own head gently into Kyoka's neck.

"We love you." He hummed gently, making her smile softly as a gentle blush came onto her cheeks. Her eyes went over the gifts one more time.

They weren't exactly the pinnacle of amazing gifts, but when she saw them she knew she'd always remember the two in her mind. Her adorable, amazing, sexy, terrible at gift giving lovers and that, that would never fail to make her happy. She'd always remember the two people she loved.

The two people who loved her back. The two that made her life worth living. That… that was the real gift, that made them so good. She smiles back at them both, kissing Izuku's cheek and Mina's head.

"Love both of you too, dorks."
