Seasons Change

TwilightWolf: Hello, everyone! Yes, this is one of those fanfictions. I just felt like I needed to... I'm not sure, set things straight.

Link: Please do, you disappeared for what, fifty years?

TwilightWolf: ...well, I mean, it feels that long. But really, it's only been... wait, two months?! Wow, it felt so much longer than that. Probably with all this new stuff I've been doing. But this isn't about that.

TwilightWolf: Ahem, so I still feel a bit bad about discontinuing that one book, Looking for a Way Out, but I mean, who here actually liked that thing, lol.

Link: Yes, you made me do a lot of strange things.

TwilightWolf: I know, I'm sorry. But anyway, I just felt like I really really needed to just let you all know how terrible I feel about taking it down, even if it wasn't that good. I enjoyed writing it, I really did. It made me happy, but when I read it, I felt like it was nonsense. And I don't want to write nonsense, even though that's what I'm doing right now.

Link: Yeah, you should work on that. Also, make your chapters longer.

TwilightWolf: I know. Shut up for a sec, will ya?

Link: Aight

TwilightWolf: Sorry. So, I really wanted to rewrite that story, but I feel like I need something different. So, I have a little something I have been planning for about a week now. I think- well, hope- that this will make up for everything. And I know no one even thinks of me taking that story down as a big deal or anything, but I'm emotional and when I do things I'm not proud of, I think about it forever, lol.

Link: We should work on that, too

TwilightWolf: So, I've done a bit of practice writing, and I feel that I have gotten significantly better. Sooo, yeah! And I'm still you're old TwilightWolf. Just that young writer who isn't particularly skilled or anything, but loves to write nonetheless. That annoying, screaming child. I haven't changed one bit. Well, my writing hopefully has, but I haven't, if you know what I'm saying. Anyway, that's it, time to get on with this little story.

She was only fourteen. Saph, the young silver-haired girl was in her own home, her younger brother and sister playing together with their small dog. Their mother had run out to get some supplies from the general store. Everything happened, so unexpected. Shrill screaming resounded throughout Hyrule Castletown. Something sounded as if it were exploding. Saph's heart leaped into her throat as she frantically scrambled to the front door. She opened it for merely a second, before slamming it closed, to its wooden frame. The sight was rather horrifying. Blood was everywhere, smeared against almost everything out there. A guardian had run by, chasing a young boy who looked to be only ten years of age. Bodies of innocent Hylian were lifeless, lying there sprawled across the once busy streets. Saph couldn't even begin to wonder what had happened to her only mother, as tears threatened to spill from her silver eyes. Her younger brother was shaking, while her younger sister started to cry.

"Everyone into the cellar," Saph ordered, helping her brother and sister make their way to the said cellar. Saph had come back out to grab a few blankets, however a loud crash was heard, and not a second after, something smelled something a bit burnt. Smoke began to fill the small home and Saph could see hot white flames licking at what used to be her kitchen. The little girl ran back to the cellar, closing it shut.

A few hours had now passed. Occasionally, the sound of Guardians scurrying across the top of the cellar could be heard. That must've meant their house was gone. The little ones had fallen asleep, but Saph was still wide awake. Their dog, Bear, kept whining and whimpering as he padded around in the small space. The only other sounds were Saph's heavy breathing and the siblings' light snores. A few more hours passed, and Saph had fallen asleep. The sound of people talking woke her up.

"If you find any survivors, please take them to Hateno."

"Princess, there can't possibly be anyone left."

Saph's eyes lit up in the dark room. She quickly woke up her brother and sister before opening the cellar. It was very heavy, due to all the debris that had fallen atop it. Saph pushed with all the strength she could muster, however it wasn't enough. Fortunately, someone noticed the movement.

"Look over there! Something is moving."

The two guards did as told, moving the heavy debris, revealing three children and a small dog.

As Saph saw what had happened to what used to be her home, she broke down in tears, sobbing. One of the guards noticed a Guardian in the distance. "We need to move quickly."

Saph turned to thank the golden-haired Princess, however she was gone. She looked around frantically, not being able to find any words as she saw the only Princess of Hyrule- the only Royal left- run straight into the Castle to face Ganon alone. Saph wanted to yell at the guards for letting her run, however she did nothing. No words escaped her lips. For what silenced her was the sight of her dead mothers body merely ten feet away from their home. If she'd been allowed ten more seconds, she'd still be alive with her three children.

This was the moment Saph's season of childhood had changed, forcing her into adulthood at merely fourteen years of age.

The end! That was really short, I know. Sometimes things don't need to be that long.

Goodbye, dear readers.

Happy Birthday

Edit: I somewhat edited this, so hopefully it's better now
