Bloody Mary, really?

- Tara Thornton

IT WAS A BUSY night in Merlotte's, which was no surprise as it was one of the few good things about Bon Temps; the sleepy town with nothing to do.

While Juliette Stackhouse could appreciate a busy night as it meant more tips, it also brought on major headaches. She and her sister, Sookie, had the ability to hear thought and busy nights like this just meant more thoughts to invade her mind.

"Your order will be right up" Juliette smiles, that smile turning into a grimace as soon as she turned away.

Damn look at that fine ass, I would just love to...

Clenching her jaw, Juliette got to work on the man's drink, sliding it towards him once she was done.

Seeing her sister approach the bar, Juliette made her way over.

"I swear the next man who thinks about me and him in bed together is gonna get my foot up their ass" She growls, trying not to turn and chuck a shot glass at the man who was still ogling her ass.

"Jules, it's not their fault you can hear their thoughts" Sookie sighs.

"Yeah, well it won't be my fault when my fist accidentally meets their face" She huffs.

"Good God, do you have to be so violent?" Sookie asks and Juliette smiles placing her hand on Sookie's arm.

"Yes, yes I do" she nods and Sookie rolls her eyes at her older sister.

The phone rings and Sam who was helping Juliette at the bar picks it up.

"Evening. Merlotte's" Sam greets pleasantly, "Hey Tara"

Sam turns and glances at Juliette then Sookie, "Yeah, she's right here" he says as he makes his way over to the sister.

"I'm so sorry, Sam" Sookie apologizes, as she grabs the phone from his outstretched hands covering the speaker, "She knows not to call me at work"

All it takes is one look at Sookie's doe eyes and Sam instantly softens up. Juliette hides her eye roll as she sees the heart eyes Sam sends her sister.

It was no secret that Sam harboured a massive crush on Sookie, everyone knew it, even Sookie herself but unfortunately for Sam, Sookie never felt the same way.

"Sookie, it's okay" Sam assures sweetly before his voice raised a few octaves higher so a certain redhead could hear him, "You don't abuse a privilege like Arlene does"

Arlene shouts as she walks by, "Hey! I heard that"

"Well, I wish you would hear that," Sam jeers, shooting Arlene a glare.

"Oh Please, Sam, I have kids!" Arlene drawls out as she walks away.

Sam then turns to Juliette, "You mind giving that man a beer, I've got two other drinks I need to make" he asks.

"Yeah, no problem," Juliette nods, grabbing a beer glass, she quickly fills it up before making her way over to the man and handing him his beer.

"Here you are, would you like anything else?" Juliette asks.

"How about a piece of your sweet ass?" the man chuckles.

Juliette's eyes turn to slits as she gives him a faux giggle leaning in as soon as she was close, she dropped her happy facade.

"You say anything like that again to me and I will shove my foot so far up your ass that not even God will be able to get it out, understand?" She growls, the man nods fearfully and a bright smile appears on Juliette's face, "Enjoy your drink!"

Crazy bitch

Juliette smirks at his thought before turning around only for that smirk to drop when she sees Sam's disapproving face.

"He deserved it" Juliette huffs.

"While that may be, he is still a customer," Sam scolds lightly, "Why don't you go take a breather?"

Juliette doesn't argue with Sam and she leaves the bar, making her way over to her sister who was by the kitchens with one of her best friends, Lafayette, one of the cooks at Merlotte's and Arlene.

"They ain't scared of you, honey child" Juliette hears as she approaches, "They scared of what's between your legs"

"Lafayette. That's nasty talk, I won't listen to that" Sookie protests.

"My sweet innocent sister, you need to lighten up a bit, what will you ever do when you get a boyfriend and he wants to get some? " Juliette teases as she appears right beside her sister.

"Juliette Stackhouse!" Sookie scolds.

Arlene laughs, "Do you even know what's between a woman's legs, Lafayette?" She asks.

"I know every man, whether straight, gay or George ma-fuckin' Buch is terrified of the pussy" He declares

"Lafayette!" Sookie exclaims in disgust while Juliette just laughs.

"Ooh, what are we talking about?" Dawn asks as she puts down her serving tray.

"Pussy" Juliette states, Sookie lightly slaps her arm at her nonchalant display of vulgar language but Juliette just smirks and shrugs.

"Hey, listen, not everybody is gay, okay?" Arlene says shaking her head, "Not everybody wants to have sex with you."

"Oh you would be surprised at how many people you know," Lafayette smirks and Arlene scoffs, "That's all I'm saying"

"Well, I don't want to have sex with you" Dawn states.

"Uh. Me neither" Arlene agrees.

"Sorry babes but neither do I," Juliette shrugs giving him a teasing smile.

"Shit, y'all bitches don't know what your missin', I got six gears in these hips" Lafayette replies as he starts thrusting.

Dawn lets out a few moans before she disagrees, "No baby, you don't know what your missing, you can watch her walk away, make you wanna slap it?"

"Makes me wanna slap it," Juliette smirks as she lightly slaps Dawn's ass when she turns.

Dawn shoots Juliette a playful wink before walking away, Juliette turns and has to stop from bursting out laughing at her sisters mortified face.

"Take these baby! Peaches and cream" Arlene calls out walking backwards with a little shake of her hips.

Juliette giggles before shaking her head and walking back to the bar, definitely feeling much calmer and happier.

Thankfully, the bar had slowed down a bit and Tara arrived, keeping Juliette company, nursing a drink, while Juliette worked.

Juliette had just given a customer a drink and was making her way over to where Tara, Sam and Sookie stood only to hear the end bits of Sam flirting with her sister.

Juliette and Tara shared an amused smirk as they watched the awkward exchange. Thankfully, they didn't have to watch it for long as something else, or should she say, someone else caught the group's attention.

A vampire.

Juliette squinted her eyes trying to read his mind before her eyes slightly widened as she realized she couldn't. Looking him over, she could admit he wasn't bad looking, not her type but he seemed to be her sisters.

Sookie looked absolutely entranced, staring at him in awe before turning to look at the group with an excited vampire.

"Oh my god! I think Merlotte's just got its first vampire" She said excitedly.

It seemed Sam noticed Sookie's interest as well, his eyes narrowing as he nodded, "I think your right."

"Can you believe it? Right here in Bon Temps?" She continues, not noticing Sam's jealousy, "I have been waiting for this, ever since they came out of the coffin two years ago!"

Sookie grabs her pen and notebook, before rushing off to take his order. Sam lets out a sigh and Juliette just pats his shoulder before making herself a drink.

Sookie returns shortly, sulking as she and Tara stared at the vampire who was know joined by the Rattrays.

Sookie continues sulking which leads to an argument between her and Tara, to which Sam buds in.

"Are you willing to pass up all your favourite foods and spend the rest of your life drinking slim-fast?" Sam asks Sookie.

"I mean I got nothing against vampires but an eternity without alcohol seems like an eternity of hell" Juliette says, slightly holding up her glass of Bloody Mary.

The sight of her drink, all three of them shoot her deadpan looks.

"Bloody Mary, really?" Tara asks.

Juliette just shrugs, "It seemed fitting."

Meanwhile, Sam sighs pinching the bridge of his nose, "You know you ain't allowed to be drinking on the job" he scolds.

"No, you said I'm not allowed to be drunk on the job, one little glass won't get me drunk" She smiles and Sam just rolls his eyes, wondering why he still bothered to even scold her.

"Sam, just give up," Tara says, "She drinks alcohol like it's water, I'm not sure she even gets drunk anymore"

Juliette gives the pair a bright victorious smirk as she slightly raises her drink towards them before bringing it back up to her lips for another sip.

Juliette didn't even notice her sister had left, till she came back in a panic.

"Jules! Jules! We have to stop them!" She rushes out grabbing her sisters wrist, dragging her away from the bar.

"Stop who? What's going on?" Juliette asks confused as she follows.

"The Rattrays! They're gonna drain him and sell his blood!" She exclaims, "We have to stop them!"

Juliette finally stops, "Look Sookie...I'm not sure about this."

While all Juliette wanted to do was smack her little sister upside the head for trying to get involved in something dangerous, she did her best to take on a gentler approach but Sookie wasn't making it easy.

"Juliette, I am very disappointed in you and your small-mindedness" Sookie scolds and Juliette sighs.

"It's not about that...look we don't even know him!" Juliette responds she wasn't just about to launch headfirst into possible danger for a man she didn't even know.

"Sookie, the vampire can take care of himself" Sam intervenes, "I promise you."

Sookie turns around to look at the table where he and the Rattray's were previously sitting only to find them gone.

"Shit!" Sookie swears, quickly taking off her apron and rushing off.

"Oh for fuck sake!" Juliette growls as she too follows after her sister.

Juliette catches up to her sister outside and grabs her shoulder, "Are you out of your goddamn mind?!"

"Shh!" Sookie scolds, Juliette's eye's narrow and she opens her mouth to say snap at her but closes it when something catches her attention.

Damn, this is gonna bring a pretty penny.

We should keep some for ourselves.

Although, if Mack freaks out on me again, I am so through with him.

It was the thoughts of Denise Rattray. Sookie starts jogging in the direction the where they heard the thoughts and Juliette silently curses, she knew her sister wouldn't leave the vampire and she knew she couldn't leave her sister, so she followed.

The sight of a chain catches Juliette's attention and quietly she grabs it knowing it could come in handy if things turned ugly.

Juliette and Sookie quietly sneak over and see that the Rattray's were indeed daring the vampire of his blood. Well, Denise was, while Mack was freaking out over wanting some V.

The vampire sees the girls and Sookie gestures for him to be quiet as they sneak up behind Mack.

Juliette swings the chain and it catches Mack on the arm, sending him to the ground from pain, clutching his arm.

"You crazy bitches" he glares, pulling out a knife from his back pocket.

He gets up and swings the knife and Juliette immediately dodges before throwing the chain, which wraps around his neck.

Her eyes widen when the chain seems to have a mind of its own and tightens around his neck, choking him. He drops the knife before falling to his knees and Denise immediately tries to make a grab for the knife but Juliette was faster, pointing it at her and stopping Denise in her tracks.

"This ain't your business you stupid cunt" Denise warns and Juliette raises an eyebrow.

"Now see, that just proves how low rent you really are," Sookie says from beside Juliette.

"You have any idea who you're messing with?" Denise growls taking a step forward towards Sookie but Juliette just steps in the way, "You don't want to be on my bad side"

"And you don't want to be on mine," Juliette drawls out, her eyes flashing dangerously, "Now I'll give you two options, either I can cut you up, right here, right now or you can go check on Mackey boy over there cause he don't look so good."

Denise glares before stepping back and trying to make a rush for the blood, "Nuh-uh, don't even think about it," Juliette warns.

"I will kill you both for this" Denise threatens, taking a few steps towards Juliette who narrows her eye.

"My patience is really starting to wear thin, Rattray" Juliette growls, "Leave, now."

Denise's eyes widen but she steps back "C'mon Mack," Denise says as she grabs her bag.

Juliette stands on guard watching Rattray's stumble away as Sookie rushes to the Vampire.

Once she was sure they were gone she makes her way over to the pair, her eyes widening in fascination as she watches the vampire's cuts heal instantly.

"Shut up," Her sister whisper also in awe.

The sound of the vehicle approaching catches Juliette's attention and immediately she grabs one side of the Vampires arm and her other arm grabs her sister's shoulder before hauling them back further into the trees.

"Come on!" Juliette exclaims and once Sookie realizes what's going on, she grabs the vampires other side, helping in dragging him back.

"I'm-a get you, bitches!" Denise Rattray's screams narrowly hitting the three with her car.

Juliette lets out an annoyed huff, leaning against the tree as glances between her sister and the vampire with narrowed eyes.

She was gonna need another drink.
