Rebekah Mikealson smiled to herself as she pushed the little bundle on the swing forward. Had anyone told her she would be taking care of an infant at some point in her immortal life, she would have laughed at their corpse after draining them of blood.
It wasn't like she had never considered having a child though. Back then when she was still human, before her entire life along with her brothers' had been turned upside down. She had wanted to have a kid of her own, one whom she could spoil like she never was. That dream was shattered when their mother that turned them. It had broken her heart when she found out that she could never conceive and like everything else she loved, she left that behind too.
She had resigned herself to never being a mother and yet at this moment and for the last months she had indeed found out what it felt like to be a mother. It was a feeling she found that she enjoyed alot, quite too much given that the kid wasn't even hers but she would enjoy this moment for as long as it lasted. And knowing the baby's father it wouldn't be that long.
Hope suddenly stopped giggling just as Rebekah felt a shiver flow down her spine. She looked around wondering what the hell was happening but it seemed like she had been the only one to feel it. Well, not the only as even hope was looking at her, round dark-blue eyes peering at her in what could only be concern. How she could pull it off when she was merely months old was beyond her.
"Something is not right." A voice said next to her and Rebekah startled slightly. The man standing next to her was probably the only person capable of sneaking up on a vampire. "Someone just tried to use scurrying magic on Hope, I am not sure I blocked it on time."
"But they can't find us right?" Rebekah asked in concern. No way was anyone harming Hope, not on her watch.
"Not while under the wards." The dark haired man replied, emerald eyes peering around the park. "Out here, if the person is powerful enough, they could break through the temporary wards I put around the park."
"You put wards around the park?" Rebekah inquired teasingly. Sometimes Harry took Hope's safety more seriously than even her. "When did you even get time to set them up?"
"You do realize it was me who suggested this park?" Harry smiled that lopsided grin that reminded her so much of Klaus as he bent down to check on Hope's bracelet. "And every single place we have visited every time we leave the house."
"Oh Harry you sly snake you..." Rebekah cooed dramatically as she messed up his hair. "Whatever I will ever do with you?"
"Well, I can think of a few things..." Harry grinned suggestively, the lopsided grin which looked silly on Klaus somehow managing to look sexy.
"Neither the time nor the place you fool!" She cuffed him on the head before she turned to the bracelet he was holding. He only took it off when they were under the wards at home but she trusted him. "You took it off."
"Yeah, well whoever is trying to find her broke through the cloaking spell on the bracelet and my own." He frowned. "I imagine they know of her general location but not her exact position."
"They know she is in England?"
"Yeah."
"You don't seem worried." She pointed out and Harry looked at her seriously.
"Not a single strand of hair will be harmed on this pretty head, I assure you." Hope giggled as she grabbed for Harry's hand. "I may not be able to attack anyone but I can defend myself and those I care about, whoever will come looking to harm you or Hope will be walking to their death."
""I know, Harry." Rebekah smiled at him. "It's the reason why I came straight back to you when Klaus gave her to me all those months ago."
"Oh." Harry's face fell. "And here I thought it was for my good looks and prowess in bed."
"I'm not buying that act even for a second." Rebekah laughed. "But don't worry, I definitely put those in consideration when I decided to come."
"You hear that, Hope!" Harry gasped as he lifted the eighteen-month-old toddler. "I was only a second thought! Me, the greatest wizard of all time! I so hope you end up nothing like her, you sweet little thing."
Hope cooed in reply as she fisted Harry's hair with a strength no child of her age had any right of possessing. Rebekah found herself smiling at the sight. Harry and Hope were so comfortable with each other that at first glance one could have mistaken them for father and daughter.
While he hadn't been pleased with her for disappearing on him only to show up a week later with a baby only weeks old, Harry had easily welcomed the baby in his normally boring life. Taking up the role of mother as Rebekah herself hadn't had the foggiest idea on how to take care of a baby. The old but young looking wizard on the other hand had been as if he was created for the single purpose of taking care of Hope.
Which as it turned out was the very reason he was in this world. According to Harry, Hope wasn't just a tribrid. On top of being half werewolf and half vampire, she was also a witch and was capable of doing magic that she had only seen Harry doing. At least that's what Harry had said when everything in the house had started floating and they found Hope stuck on the ceiling.
She had never heard of a witch that young perform magic or anyone doing that much magic without channeling something very powerful. Harry had been giddy, called it accidental magic and after subjecting the giggling infant to thousands of tests, he had declared that she was just like him. She was the reason he was alive and officially his apprentice.
When Rebekah asked what it meant, Harry told her she could never understand a bond between a wizard and his apprentice and that it was better if she doesn't even think of it. All she needed to know was that he would willingly lay down his life for Hope and had an obligation to transfer every single drop of his magical knowledge to her.
Her thoughts were interrupted by her phone ringing, the latest one she had bought as Hope had a tendacy of burning them with her magic eruptions. She saw that it was Klaus and wondered if her brother knew about the scurrying.
"Our mother is onto you, you need to move from wherever you are." Klaus started without preamble. "Elijah will meet you on the way."
"I'm fine Klaus, thanks for asking." Rebekah sniffed. "Yeah, your little girl is doing well too, she can't wait to see you."
"This is not a time for joking, Rebekah." Klaus snapped. "Hope could be in danger. You've got to move right now."
"I am not going anywhere, Klaus." Rebekah told him, not willing to stand for his bossy tone. "Hope and I are probably in the safest place we could be on this planet so I suggest_"
"You don't understand_"
"No, Klaus." She cut him off. "It's you who doesn't seem to understand. You entrusted me with keeping Hope safe and I'm doing just that. If you had bothered to ask, I would have told you that someone tried to locate Hope and they were blocked as what's protecting her was too strong to be breached."
"Rebekah_"
"Now I suggest that you deal with our mother if you wish but please just for once have some faith in me, brother."
"I have faith in you Rebekah, I wouldn't have given you my child to look after if it weren't so."
"Well, it wouldn't hurt to act like it every now and then."
"You are right, I really miss you little sister." Klaus said and she could hear the truth in his words.
"As do I, Nik." She looked at Harry and Hope who were seated on the twirly as it swung them around with none of the people in the park even sparing them a glance. "And I know Hope looks forward to seeing her father."
"Well, the little miscreant will have to wait as our brothers don't seem willing to cooperate and I know mother is getting suspicious about your absence." Klaus replied.
"Nik, if there is anything you're good at other than stabbing us in the back, it is protecting our backs." Rebekah said and the hybrid hummed in amusement.
"Why, thank you sister." His voice was dripping with it's usual sarcasm. "Am beginning to think taking care of my spawn is making you soft."
"It has." Rebekah admitted. "I have never felt more human than I have these past eight months when I am with her."
"You were always the most human of us all, sister." Klaus said. "Well, except when you're throwing one of your legendary tantrums."
"And who was responsible for those?"
"Well, yours truly of course."
Rebekah laughed out aloud, now more than ever realizing just how much she missed her brothers. Harry Potter was very relaxing company and there was no one else she could think of if she wanted some time to get away from everything but he was not family. Always and forever.
"You said Elijah was coming to find me_"
"So you were listening_"
"I will meet him, if only so he meets the niece he cared so much about." She continued, ignoring his interruption. "But make no mistake Nik, I am not leaving this place and if you want your daughter safe then I suggest you refrain from forcing me to leave."
"I trust you're judgement, Rebekah."
"Well that's a first." Rebekah commented and Klaus laughed.
"What can I say, perhaps becoming a father has changed me too." She could almost hear the grin in his voice. "Take care sister, I've got an angry teenage witch to deal with."
Klaus hung up even as she heard Davina's voice in the background. Rebekah looked at Harry as he walked back to her with Hope comfortably nestled in his arms and not for the first time she considered asking him for a port-key to New Orleans.
"You have that look." Harry pointed out as he led them to the edge of the park.
"What look?"
"That one you get every time you speak to one of your brothers and are seconds away from running off to help them." Rebekah raised an eyebrow at him. For all his claims of never using mind magic on her, Harry had a way of knowing exactly what she was thinking.
"And how do you know that?"
He put his free hand around her waist and pulled her closer to him. Her senses were immediately engulfed by his unique scent, the scent which had drawn her to him all those years ago.
"Because I know you, Rebekah Mikealson." And with a shift in the air, Rebekah found herself back at Potter Cottage in Wales.

Rebekah growled as she strained from her magically enhanced bindings as she fought to free her arms. She pulled with all the energy she could master but the chains held strong, even her vampire strength being no match for her target's magic. The idiot grinned at her with malice, his emerald orbs glinting in amusement as he once again lowered his head.
Rebekah renewed her efforts to free her hands as Harry's unnaturally flexible tongue explored her center. Her senstive ears heard him hiss something, his tongue vibrating from inside her and she shuddered as her body was once again wracked by another orgasm. Her torturer didn't let up, his tongue leaving her entrance to torture her protruding nub.
Harry continued hissing, his serpentine tongue vibrating on her nub while two fingers replaced it at her slick entrance. She arched her back to meet his thrusts just as a third finger joined the others. Harry tortured her abused sex for about fifteen seconds before another orgasm ripped through her and she fought against losing consciousness.
A battle she almost lost when he started sucking her breast just as he replaced his fingers with his manhood, multiplying the pleasure she had been feeling tenfold. Harry started moving and Rebekah cried out in pleasure, something only Harry seemed to be capable of as no human or vampire was capable of making her experience anything near this.
Rebekah didn't even realize when Harry released her, her mind dreary from pleasure. One final orgasm ripped through her and she was sure that this time she lost unconscious as her vision went black and by the time she opened her eyes, Harry was in a bathrobe seated on a chair watching her.
"What are you grinning about?" If anything, Harry's grin became even wider. "Wipe that smirk off your face this instant or I will wipe it off myself."
"You will need to stand up for that and somehow I doubt you are capable of that right now." Harry replied cheekily and Rebekah found herself smiling in return.
"You feel very accomplished, don't you?"
"What can I say, I just fucked Rebekah Mikealson into oblivion." Harry took a sip from his orange juice. "I feel like I'm on top of the world."
"You, Harry Potter have got a very big problem."
"Well, I've never claimed otherwise." Harry shrugged. "Anyway, you should get up, your brother sent where to meet him while you were off in Dreamland."
"No thanks to you." Rebekah groaned as she got up and paused at Harry's grin. "Will you stop doing that already!"
Harry just shook his head and sauntered out of the bedroom. She pulled herself together and limped her way to the shower even as she felt her body fixing itself in preparation for their next coupling. One of the perks of being a vampire, her body will always return to the state it was in when she was first turned no matter what happened to it. Something she put to the test whenever she was with Harry.
As the water ran down her body, Rebekah thought of the day she first met the immortal wizard. Fifty years ago, she had just woken up from a decade-long sleep curtsey of Nik and wishing for some space between her and her brothers, especially with Elijah siding with Klaus like always, she had travelled to England.
She woke up to find that Mercel had gone off to fight the war, Klaus was hating himself for pushing him which had prompted him to pull out the dagger from her heart in the first place. Feeling betrayed by everyone she trusted, Rebekah had wanted to get as far away from them as possible.
She had ended up in a little bar in Scotland about a year later, though she could never tell you why she was there in the first place. People were celebrating the end of the war throughout the entire continent and despite it being the middle of the day, there were a bunch of patrons drinking away the day. She fed on the idiots, almost sucking them dry untill only a single person was left.
He had sat idly as she moved from one person to another, sipping from his cup as if he was living in his own world and what was going on around him didn't concern him at all. When she was done, she turned to him as the figure lowered it's hood and the most stunning green eyes she had ever seen stared right at her.
"I had no idea they make them that young." The young man who looked no older than when she had been when their mother turned them commented as he took a swig from his cup. "I sincerely hope you're not considering me for dessert."
"You don't seem scared." Rebekah had commented, as she slowly approached the young man who she was pretty sure was human.
"It takes more than a pretty girl dripping blood from her mouth to scare me." He turned completely to her. "But if you're planning on having me for dinner then I'll have to pass."
"Oh, and why is that?" She asked, sauntering her way towards him. "You seem like one nice treat I could take my time enjoying."
"Well you see, for one it is I who usually does the ravishing." He replied. "And secondly, you will find that my blood is not the delicacy you are expecting. That is if I let you taste it in the first place."
"Now I'm going to drain you dry just out of principal." Rebekah told him as she pressed him into the wall. "No one tells a Mikealson what to take."
"What! you are a Mikeals_ ouch!" The young man grunted as Rebekah's fangs sunk into his neck and blood flowed into her mouth, the tantalizing aroma almost making her pass out.
And then she started chocking as she felt like her insides were on fire. She stumbled, holding her stomach as she chocked and coughed on blood that was pooling in her mouth.
"Bloody hell why didn't you just say your bloody name in the first place!" The young man swore, kneeling next to her even as she spat out the blood in her mouth. He poured something and out of reflex she swallowed and the pain stopped instantly.
When she finally got back to her feet, the young man was back in his seat taking his beer.
"What the bloody hell just happened?" She demanded, taking a seat opposite him.
"What happened is that you just got a taste of me and it was too much for you." The young man gave her a lopsided grin which disappeared at her unimpressed look. "The name is Potter, Harry Potter, and I have been hoping to run into a Mikealson for the better part of a year now."
"A Mikealson?"
"Yep." He answered easily. "I believe there are a bunch of you but only one of three was to be relevant to me, the one that I would meet first and I am so glad it was you."
"You know who I am?"
"Only by reputation am afraid, you're Rebekah Mikealson I presume, sister to Elijah and Klaus." He told her. "The three original vampires turned by dark magic that was cast on them by their oh so loving mother."
"You are a witch?" Rebekah asked, stunned by the young man's words.
"Wizard, actually." He corrected. "And I am the only thing that will stop your family from being wiped out by the coming darkness."
-BDBDBD-
So a brief summary before we explore these two's history together. You remember that time when Rebekah first fell in love with Stefan and Klaus compelled him to forget them. Rebekah was heartbroken and went on a rampage on a reaper was capable of.
Klaus hunted her down and daggered her. She missed the world wars and only woke up at the end in the late forties. She took off from her old life hopping to severe all ties and start anew where she ran into Harry.
I know some things will be different from canon, I will try to explain them as much as possible.
Oh and in this fic Rebekah was turned at seventeen with a few months remaining to make eighteen.
As for Harry, well we shall see next chapter.
