Author's note: This fanfic was written for the sole purpose of supporting the Pitamus (Pit x Samus) ship, which is kind of underrated these days, if you ask me. I support the ship very much, and I believe that Pit belongs with a girl like Samus. I'm pretty sure there are some people out there who support the Pit x Samus ship as much as I do (If you're one of those people, let me know in the comments). I mean, who wouldn't see them as a great potential couple? Their games have so much in common, so the angel boy and the bounty huntress were practically made for each other, the way I see it.
Some people think that the ship is really weird, since Pit is an angel from a Greek mythology-inspired setting and Samus is a human bounty huntress from outer space. Yes, it might sound kind of strange at first, but I think it's really interesting.

I do ship Pit with Phosphora and a few other girls, but my number one ship is Pit x Samus, and it will always be. Nothing will ever change that. The potential for Pit and Samus as a couple can be beneficial with the right creativity and ideas.

If you think Pit is too young to be dating a woman like Samus, he's actually older than what his physical appearance implies as angels and gods age differently compared to humans. Even then, that wouldn't stop me from enjoying the Pit x Samus ship.

If you like the Pit x Samus ship, that's great! I hope you'll enjoy reading this fanfic as much as I enjoyed writing it. I might not be able to publish all the chapters in one day, but I'm just gonna start with the first two chapters and go from there. It might take some time, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Anyway, without further ado, let's begin the story.

~Normal POV~

It was a seemingly regular day at the Smash Mansion. Master Hand hadn't assigned any brawl missions to any of the Smashers for a few days, so everyone was taking it easy and going about their business.

In one of the mansion's lounge rooms, Pit and his friends - Link, Marth, Ike, Roy, Kirby, Sonic, Mega Man, and Ness - were all sitting around and talking about one of the things they liked talking about best - their girlfriends.

"So, Link, how are things going with you and Zelda?" asked Ike.

"Things are going pretty well, like usual," said Link. "You guys know that Zelda and I have a stable relationship. She really likes me, and I'll do anything to please her."

"Have you been planning on getting married yet?" asked Marth, who was already married to a beautiful woman called Caeda.

"Well, not really," said Link. "I'm not quite ready to pop the question to her just yet. It's still probably a little too early for me to do that. For now, I want to keep our relationship nice and steady."

"I heard you and Jigglypuff are dating at the moment, Kirby," said Sonic. "You must like her because she has so much in common with you, especially since you're both little pink puffballs. Ain't that right?"

"Poyo! Poyo!" said Kirby.

"Ha ha! I thought so, little dude," said Sonic.

"You're going out with Paula, right, Ness?" said Pit.

"Yeah," said Ness. "She's such a nice girl to be around. She's so cute and pretty."

"What are your thoughts about dating Rhonda*, Roy?" asked Marth.

"She's very cute and smart," said Roy. "I like ladies who have both brains and beauty."

"And you're dating Lady Palutena, right, Ike*?" said Mega Man.

"Yeah," said Ike. "I was never really into romance until I met her. She's a nice person to be around, although she can be...er, quite a bit of a handful. I say she's a much better girlfriend than Corrinna*."

"You and Amy Rose are still an item, right, Sonic?" said Ness.

"You betcha!" said Sonic. "Amy loves me so much that she'll never trade me for another guy."

"What about you, Pitster?" asked Mega Man. "How do you think things are going with your girlfriend?"

"Uh...W-what are you talking about?" asked Pit, feeling a little confused. He was always a little girl-crazy, as he had a crush on quite a few of the female Smashers, and two of them, in particular, were currently in a seemingly romantic relationship with him - at least, he thought it was romantic. He couldn't quite say for sure. He always bragged to his friends that he kissed many different girls. In fact, many of the girl Smashers found Pit very cute, and they flirted with him (and sometimes kissed him) behind their boyfriends' backs. Pit didn't mind, though, because he really liked getting attention from girls. He even kissed some of those girls when the boy Smashers weren't looking.*

Suddenly, the boys heard a dull, robotic voice drone "Special occasion. Special occasion," repeatedly. The voice was coming from a telephone with a green screen.

"Guys, it's the special occasion phone*!" said Pit. "Someone's calling to tell one of us about a special occasion!"

"Who's the call for?" asked Link.

"I dunno," said Sonic. "Lemme go see."

With his super speed, Sonic dashed over to the phone to see who was being reminded of a special occasion.

"Hey, Pit," he said. "I think the call's for you, dude."

"It is?" said Pit, excited that he was getting a call. "Sweet! Lemme see who's calling me."

This was the first time the angel boy got a call on the special occasion phone. Whoever was calling him, he really hoped that it would be a girl. Pit walked over to the phone and looked at the caller ID. It showed a picture of a strikingly beautiful woman with blonde hair in a ponytail.

"Oh my Palutena, it's Samus!" exclaimed the angel boy. Pit always had a major crush on Samus Aran ever since he joined the Smash Bros., and he really enjoyed spending time with her. The thought of his human bounty hunter girlfriend calling to inform him of a special occasion made him very happy because she hardly ever called him on special occasion phone, let alone any of the Smash Girls, actually. But then Pit remembered that his friends knew about his longtime crush on Samus and sometimes teased him about it a little, and as he looked at the other Smash Boys, he chuckled. "I'll talk to her in private. I don't want you guys embarrassing me or, uh, anything."*

With that, he grabbed the phone and ran to the nearest room that didn't have anyone in it. Then he slammed the door shut, sat down, and answered the phone.

"Hello?" said Pit as he started his call.

"Hey, Pit, it's Samus," he heard the bounty huntress's warm, mature voice say on the other end.

"Hi, Samus!" said the angel boy. "Uh...How have you been?"

"I'm doing okay, Pitster," said Samus.

"Great!" said Pit. "And your work, how's the bounty hunting business?"

"Things are going well," said Samus. "None of the aliens I've hunted down this week have slipped out of my hands."

"Oh, good to hear!" said Pit.

The Smash Boys didn't want to miss the conversation Pit was having with Samus, so they gathered around the door to hear what kinds of juicy things the bounty hunter was going to tell the angel boy. This had to be interesting.

"Hey, listen, Samus," said Pit. "I was wondering why you called. I mean, this is the first time that I've ever gotten a call on special occasion phone. Like, ever."

"Well," said Samus. "You see, it's been quite a while since I called a guy on special occasion phone, and it's been a while since we spent some time together, just the two of us. So...I thought I'd call you to tell you about something special I planned for both of us. How would you like to go out this weekend?"

As Marth pressed his ear against the door, he tried to make out the conversation Pit was having with Samus.

From inside the room, he could hear Pit say, in a surprised tone of voice, "Really?...You...You want to go out with me?"

What followed this was a small thud, as if Pit had dropped the phone in a state of shock. And then, silence.

"Well?" asked Ike. "What did Samus say?"

"I don't know," said Marth. "It could either be good or bad, but what she said might have shocked Pit."

"What's he gonna say next?" asked Ness.

Inside the room, Pit quickly picked up the phone to respond to Samus.

"So, what do you say, shorty?" asked Samus. "Do we have a date for this weekend?"

"Yes! Yes!" said Pit. "I'm willing, Sammy! Talk to you later!"

Then he hung up the phone before he could screw anything up. He could feel his excitement sinking in, and there was no holding back.

The boys all fell silent as they waited for Pit to exit the room and tell them what Samus said. Suddenly, the silence was broken by a loud, enthusiastic cry.

"I HAVE A DAAAAAATE!"

The sound of Pit's sudden and excited shriek nearly knocked the other Smash Boys off their feet. That wasn't the kind of reaction they were expecting, and it took them by surprise.

The boys knew they had to duck and cover, because they knew that Pit's energy was almost off-the-charts when he got very excited. They immediately retreated to the lounge room and braced for impact once they heard the sound of the angel boy's running footsteps.

"AAAAAAAAH! SHE ASKED ME OUT!" screamed Pit as he excitedly burst into the room, almost making the other boys fall backwards. "YOU GUYS, SAMUS ASKED ME OUT!"

"Whoa! Whoa!" cried Marth. "Easy, Pit, easy!"

"IT FINALLY HAPPENED, GUYS! I FINALLY GOT A CALL FROM A GIRL ON SPECIAL OCCASION PHONE!" yelled Pit as he enthusiastically jumped around the room like a frog on a pogo stick, his wings fluttering wildly. "I HAVE A DATE!"

"What's wrong with you?" asked Ike, covering his ears and grimacing.

"Calm it, man!" exclaimed Ness. "You're freaking us out!"

"SAMUS ASKED ME OUT!" yelled Pit as he grabbed Link and started shaking him.

"Gah!" exclaimed the blond elf, startled by his best friend's sudden movement.

"Dude! Calm the heck down!" said Mega Man. "You know you freak us out when you freak out."

"Yeah, you're acting and sounding like Amy Rose when I ask her out on a date," said Sonic.

At this moment, Pit realized that he was scaring his friends, so he let go of Link and tried to contain his excitement. "S-sorry!" he said as he tried very hard not to hyperventilate. "I'm just so excited because of the call I got from Samus. I...I can't believe it happened! She finally called me to ask me out! I knew it was going to happen! I knew it!"

"Wait," said Mega Man, a little confused. "You're saying you never got a call from her on that phone before?"

"No!" said Pit. "Well, uh, to be honest...I've never gotten a call from any girl on that phone."

"You never have?" asked Roy.

"Never!" said Pit. "Until now, that is! Oh man, it's like a dream come true! I mean, I'm sure Samus has called other guys on that phone in the past, but she has never called me! Seriously, you don't know how happy I am right now. This is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, ever! Uh...next to sitting in hot springs and being able to fly on my own, of course."

Before he turned to leave the room, he looked at his friends dead in the eye and said, in a serious tone, "Guys, don't even try to do anything stupid in front of me when I'm with Samus, okay? Like, seriously. I want to show her what a great guy I am. You understand?"

"We understand," said Roy. "We'll try our best not to do anything stupid."

"Yeah," said Marth. "And, uh...When the weekend comes, make sure you'll have fun on that date."

"Are you gonna start planning that date, Pitster?" asked Sonic.

"You bet!" said Pit. "It'll be so awesome! I just know it!"

As he turned to leave so he could start planning his date, he looked at his friends and said, "Pit is out! Peace!"

With that, the angel boy resumed his excitement and dashed out of the room, shouting "All right, bay-BEE! YESSSS! Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!". The other boys were quite shocked and baffled by the way Pit was acting.

"Whoa," said Sonic. "Someone's pretty fired up about being asked out by one of the hottest ladies in the Nintendo world."

"What's his problem?" asked Marth.

"Why must he make a big deal out of everything?" sighed Roy, rubbing his forehead.

"I can't believe that's the first time he's ever gotten a call on that phone!" said Ness in amazement.

"I know, right?" said Mega Man. "He's so lucky."

"What?" asked Ike, his ears still ringing a little from Pit's loud yelling.

"I never act like that when Zelda asks me out on a date through special occasion phone," muttered Link, who was still a little dizzy from being shaken.

*Rhonda - The name I came up with for the female version of Robin.

*Yes, I support Ike and Palutena as a couple. Deal with it.

*Corrinna - The name I came up with for the female version of Corrin.

*In my fanon, I like depicting Pit as a little girl-crazy, developing a few small crushes on some cute girls. He's also a bit of a ladies' man, being able to win the hearts of many different girls, and he loves all the attention that girls give him. In the Smash Bros. world, Pit has also developed crushes on some of the female Smashers (among them being Peach, Zelda, Lucina, Rosalina, maybe Daisy, and of course, Samus). Samus is his biggest crush in particular.

*The special occasion phone idea was slightly based on the Adventure Time episode "Jake Suit".

*In my fanon, Pit's friends all know how popular he is with girls, and they know about his crush on Samus, which they like to tease him about sometimes. When he gets teased about his crush in Samus, Pit gets quite annoyed and sometimes threatens to punch his friends in the faces or kick them in the oompa-loompas if they don't shut up.

FYI: I made up names for the female versions of Corrin and Robin so my readers won't get confused.
