When Bella mentioned moving to Forks, Washington to live with our dad I was a little more than surprised.
Astonished might be the right word to use. Flabbergasted, even. Bella had been adamant that she didn't like Forks. It was too rainy, too cold, and too green for her to enjoy living with dad. So that's why we only ever visited during the summers. After a few years she stopped visiting all together, but I never did. I loved Forks, Washington. I loved the coolness of the air and how it's always rainy.
More importantly, our dad lived there. Don't get me wrong, I loved my mother but she was a bit much sometimes.
I wiped sweat off my brow as I glanced around my room, seeing if I missed anything I wanted to take with me to Forks. We were leaving in about an hour, and I was just packing last minute necessities. Bella was already done, but it wasn't like she had much in terms of stuff. Her books that she finds valuable, clothes, probably some other small things that she didn't want to leave behind.
I jumped when I heard the door knock, and I turned to see my mother standing at my door looking a bit sheepish. "Sorry sweetie. You done?" She asked, glancing around my room with a frown.
"I think so," I nodded, glancing around again just to double-check. When I was satisfied, I turned to face my mother who still had a frown on her face. "What's wrong, mom?" I asked, though already knowing what was wrong. She had been trying to dissuade us from going to Washington ever since Bella made the decision to go.
Mom sighed as she walked over to sit on the end of my bed. "I already tried talking Bella out of it, but she seems set on going. Are you?" She turned to look at me, eyes curious as I go to sit beside her on the bed. "You know, you can still come with us if you wanted to." She pointed out – unwilling to let her babies go into the unknown.
That sounded awful. As much as I loved Phil, I did not want to be the third wheel – even around my own parents. Besides, I wasn't one for much traveling and mom knew that. I would much rather stick to one place then travel to multiple. Besides that I was still in school – I wanted to finish my school years in public school and not doing online work. With that thought in mind, I gave mom a tentative smile. "I'm okay with going. You know how much I love Forks, mom. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to go see dad," I added with a shrug. "I've missed him, even though I see him every summer."
At that mom nodded her head, "I know you and your father get along better than you and I," I made a sound of protest, and she held her hand up to stop me, "it's okay sweetie. You've never been one for city life anyways. If it's someone I was hoping to persuade to stay with me that would have been Bella." She had a point. After another moment mom sighed, "well, lets get going then. Phil and Bella are downstairs waiting – and you have a flight to catch!" She gave me a reassuring smile before standing up and grabbing my duffel bag before I could tell her not too.
In about thirty minutes we found ourselves at the Arizona airport, waiting to board the plane. I had my duffel bag over one shoulder – my hand tightly around my suitcase as we waved goodbye to mom and Phil, Phil's arm around my mother in a loving embrace. I smiled softly at the sight before following after Bella – eager to get to Forks and see dad.
I sat beside Bella on the plane after putting our luggage up, giving my twin a small smile. "You ready, sis?" I asked her as she buckled herself into her seat.
She gave me one of her timid smiles, still unsure about her decision to go. "I'm ready. Nervous, but ready." She nodded her head in determination. "This will be good for us, Tilly." She adds in hopes to probably assure herself.
Although I couldn't help but wonder what lies ahead for the Swan twins and what exactly we were getting ourselves into.
AN: Hi. So this is basically a "what if" scenario. What if Bella's twin got imprinted on, but they remained civil? ;) That's what I aim to find out! I mean, sure there's bound to be drama – but with a world full of supernatural creatures, and the sisters dating each side of the spectrum can you not imagine drama? I can't at least. Especially with an asshole vampire and an asshole werewolf who are both territorial.
There won't be much Bella bashing. That's a fic for another time, ha! However, Edward… I said the twins were gonna support each other but never said there wouldn't be Edward bashing xD
DISCLAIMER – I do NOT own Twilight. I only own Matilda and her plot line, and whatever else I decide to add into the fanfic. Everything else belongs to Stephanie Meyers.
