Chats Hate Water Part 2

Sorry I didn't update this as soon as I had originally wanted, my account glitched out and this document didn't go through. I didn't realise that though and I deleted the google doc that held the last half of the story when I was emptying my storage because it was full. I then went to post the chapter and noticed that the document wasn't there and I already had emptied my trash on google drive so I couldn't recover the story. So unfortunately I have to rewrite it. Sorry, hope that random blob of text explained what took so long for this chapter. I did plan to post it sooner but I had to retype it and I've been busy. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it. Bug Out. :)

"I don't know if I can do this," I whined into my pillow.

"Just give me camembert already," Plagg begged.

"I can't do it, my heart belongs to Ladybug, yet why do I like Mari too?"

"Camembert for advice," Plagg growled, his stash already gone. Reluctantly I held out the stinky piece of gooey cheese which Plagg swallowed whole. I glanced at the umbrella again, remembering the lovestruck, happy smile on Mari's face.

"Plagg you promised advice," I glared.

"Ya ya, well Bug's turned you down multiple times, go for pigtails, I bet she has lots of cheese pastries," Plagg sighed dreamily. I groaned but considered the first part of what he said. Ladybug clearly loved someone else and I should respect that, right? Ladybug had turned me down multiple times yet I kept pursuing her love. Maybe I should give Mari a chance, she was sweet and kind, oh and also beautiful. But wasn't she in love with Luka? My mind questioned. Was I too late?

I sighed as I glanced at the selfie me, Nino, Alya and Mari had taken together. We were at Andre's and we all had gotten ice cream together. Mari had ice cream dripping down her cone and was desperately trying to stop the dribbles from landing on a beautiful pale pink dress she had made. I grinned at her smiling yet flustered face. Suddenly it hit me, Andre's ice cream revealed your true love. I looked at her green, yellow and peach colored ice cream then into a mirror. Green eyes and blond hair, but peach? Were those my ice cream flavors? Did Mari still have a crush on me, this photo wasn't taken too long ago.

"Plagg does Mari still like me?"

"I thought it was obvious, she stutters and turns tomato red when you smile or wave to her, and did you not hear her speech last night? Now more cheese, intelligence requires feeding," Plagg huffed.

"Adrien are you ready for school?" Nathalie called.

"Yes coming," I shouted frantically as I shoved stuff into my bag. I grabbed the umbrella too, hoping it would bring me luck with Mari today. I shoved Plagg in my bag with a wheel of cheese and dashed out the door, almost knocking over Nathalie. I was so excited, yet nervous, yet excited, argh. No one seemed to notice my spinning mind as Gorilla drove me to school and Nathalie ran over my schedule once more. I really didn't care what I was doing today other than asking Mari on a date. My mind whirled as I tried to think of the best way to ask Mari. Should I be like Adrien me or act more like Chat? Argh, why was liking Mari so hard?

"You got that Adrien?" Nathalie asked.

"Sure," I nodded without paying attention.

"Ok, see you after school then," Nathalie replied. I nodded and got out of the car and walked towards the school.

"Ack!" Mari squawked as she tripped over a crack in the sidewalk. Instinctively I caught her before she landed and she awkwardly smiled at me. I felt my cheeks heat up and decided to go for it.

"Hey Mari, I was wondering if you would go to the movies with me," I asked awkwardly.

"Ah gah, dream it be, umm, date ask me you, gahhh," Mari muttered as she turned cherry red.

"She means yes," Alya replied quickly stepping in. Mari nodded quickly and I grinned, my smile as huge as my alter ego's. I heard a loud thud as Chloe fainted but I didn't care, I was too happy at that moment.

Suddenly lightning flashed and thunder roared as the rain came pouring down. I resisted the urge to jump onto something (it being easier since I wasn't Chat right now) but moved closer to Mari. I pulled out the umbrella and she looked confused.

"Oh thanks again for returning my umbrella last night," I smirked. Suddenly Chloe wasn't the only one fainted.
