Chapter 2: New land and new predators
Ajay slowly wakes up. He noticed he was in a small to medium room. There was a bed, sink, toilet, mirror, and small desk. There was no windows. The door was built into the wall and there was a strange device in the top right corner.
"I still think we should listen to Wildshift." Came a male voice, which Ajay barely heard through the wall.
Ajay stands up, but he gets light headed. He stumbles onto the floor. The door opens up and three people are on the other side. Two we're in fancy closes, like in the pictures he saw in the books in his home. The other was in some kind of uniform. There was two men and one woman.
"Take him." Said the man in fancy clothes.
The woman forcefully pulls Ajay up and drags him out of the room. Ajay, who becomes extremely scared, releases multiple cries for help. He wasn't very strong, but the man in the fancy clothes had to help the woman drag him away. The man in the uniform was panicking a little bit.
"Could you make him stop!? I don't want to wake the other ones!? Why are you two taking him anyways!?" Said the uniform man.
"This boy has lived on a island full of dinosaurs. Once his true quirk is awakened, he will be a special hero to the public. So he needs to be separated from the others for his own betterment." Said the man in fancy clothes.
'CLANG!'
The woman and uniform man jump.
"Open the hatch on the door." Said the fancy man.
"Aren't there any precautions in these rooms? Like turrets or vents that release knockout gas?" Said the fancy woman, with a bit of worry in her voice.
" no. This is the rehabilitation wing. This wing is for criminals that wish to rejoin society. So we put them in here." Said the uniform man.
The uniform man opens the small window hatch and he nearly had a heart attack. Ronin's blood red eyes glare at the three adults. Ajay smiles to see his uncle.
"I'm giving you five second to get your damn hands off my nephew or else." Said Ronin.
"Not a chance. He will be becoming a special hero. You four will be put through rehabilitation. Each of you will be taken to a different rehab location. Once that is done, you four will be able to rejoin society. This one here will be given special training to be a hero." Said the fancy man, as he glares at Ronin.
'CLANG!'
The three adults jump a bit when the metal door got a good dent in it. Ronin releases a growl.
"I'm not letting you turn my nephew into a weapon." Said Ronin.
"Heroes aren't weapons. They-"
'CLANG!'
Ronin's hand bursts through the door and grabs the fancy man by the throat. The fancy woman and uniform man didn't have time to scream as Ronin tore the door off its frame.
"They're weapons to me." Said Ronin.
Not far from the prison
Ryuko Tatsuma, aka Ryukyu, is sitting in a hospital room. She had been rushed to the hospital once they landed in Kagoshima Japan. Her injuries weren't life threatening, but she would have to take a couple months off to heal. The medical personal on the ship patched her up enough so she didn't bleed out on the ship, but she was instantly taken to the hospital. She had on some shorts and a tube top, with a hospital gown. The doctor said that she will have scars, but she didn't care. The door then bursts open.
"Ryukyu!?" Said Nejire Hado, with tears in her eyes.
Nejire is a fair-skinned girl of average height with wide, curious eyes. Her upper eyelashes long and thick, and her irises are a royal blue where her pupils are white. Her hair is periwinkle, and it reaches all the way down to her knees, twisting around itself at her waist and curving inwards around her legs. She has side-swept bangs, tucked behind her ears on the right and hanging just over her eyes on the left, and two short clumps of hair on either side of her face, curved towards her face on the right and behind it, under her ear, on the left.
"Nejire!? When and why are you here!?" Said Ryukyu as she was hugged by the worried Nejire.
Nejire's hero costume consists of a royal blue skin-tight bodysuit with a high black collar, pale mint green markings covering her torso from over her shoulders to between her legs, framed with turquoise, a matching stripe of the same two colours around both of her upper arms. On her feet, she wears a pair of knee-high boots, a thinning flap buttoned on each thigh, with turquoise spirals around her ankles, matching the thicker ones above her yellow gauntlets and wrist-guards. She has a black strap around the top of each thigh, two small satchels attached, and two spiralling horns of hair protruding from behind her ears that are shaped as a reference to her quirk.
"Sorry Ryukyu. I found her harassing Suneater. Him and I we're coming here to do patrols with the police about a drug ring." Said Fat Gum.
Fat Gum is a big, round man, easily towering over other adults. His mouth is big and his nose is smaller, which alongside his odd body proportions, give him an odd look. His hero costume consists of black pants and an orange, zippered hood, which has the initials of his alias on the front of Fat Gum, written with a clear F,G and an inverted F. Alongside them, he also wears gloves, metallic boots, and a mask that goes around his eyes and over his forehead.
"She was so fierce with her begging. She wouldn't stop bugging me, giving me pouty lips, puppy dog eyes, and tears I just could take it anymore. I just wanted to curl up into a ball and hide." Said Tamaki Amajiki.
Tamaki is a tall young man with rather pale skin. His ears are longer than most, their tips pointy and somewhat elf-like. He has messy, indigo hair, which sticks out behind his head, and thin, tired-looking eyes, partially covered by his bangs despite the fact that they're supposed to be split as to not impair his vision. His shoulders are usually hunched, and he avoids making eye-contact with people. His hero costume consists of a black bodysuit decorated with gold plating around the arms and shoulders. He dons a white tunic as well as a matching cape and hood that features more gold plating on the top of the hood. The cape connects to a scarf-like collar that features a silver mask on the front. He also sports a purple mask over his face as well as a matching carrier vest with red straps. He wears a mask over his eyes and is barefoot, which gives him more freedom when he's using his quirk.
"So what happened on the island?" Asked Fat Gum.
Ryukyu then goes over the events that had taken place on the island. From finding the students, to the run in with the hybrids. Then the battle on the beach and the fight with Ronin. Nejire was surprisingly quit. Fat Gum was shocked to hear that five kids survived on a dinosaur infested island for five years. Amajiki was also shocked, more so that Dr Henry Wu had made human dinosaur hybrids.
"So have you found the human donors for the hybrids?" Asked Amajiki.
"No. But they told me that they sent some blood samples to a InGen complex not far from here. So they should find them sooner or later." Said Ryukyu.
After the Lockwood Manor incident. InGen was bought by some rich family to be used for good, like finding cures for deceases and what not. They also help look after the hybrids that Henry Wu had made and that we're deemed to dangerous to be released anywhere. They had only found the out the mother DNA for the five hybrids.
"They only found out who the mother is for the five children." Said Ryukyu.
"Then who is she. She needs to know that she has five kids." Said Fat Gum.
"Four kids and one grand kid. The youngest of the five used the only girl of the group and another man's DNA. And the woman already knows she has four children." Said Ryukyu, with a sorrowful look on her face.
"Who is she then?" Asked Nejire.
"Henry Wu used my DNA for all four of the older hybrids. I'm their mother." Said Ryukyu.
Now Fat Gum, Nejire, and Amajiki we're kinda of split on how to react. On one hand, Ryukyu found the kids and she could tell them she was their mother. On the other hand, after the battle they put up and the one named Ronin going toe to toe with All Might to get his family back, they don't think the hybrids would be to happy with their mother. On the other other hand, the hybrids might out right kill Ryukyu for not being there for them and not saving them.
"So what are you going to do?" Asked Nejire.
Ryukyu heads over to the change room and changes into her hero costume, which had been fixed. She then heads for the door.
"I'm going to see them. And hopefully get the hero association to let me take care of them. I'm glad Wildshift gave me his cell number." Said Ryukyu.
The doctor told Ryukyu not to use her quirk, if possible, but only use it for small transformations. If she did a full body transformation, she could risk her stitches breaking and possible bleeding out. She, along with Fat Gum, Amajiki, and Nejire head for the prison. Fat Gum had called the police and told them that something had come up. Fat Gum got a transport for them to get to the prison. Ryukyu then calls Wildshift.
"Wildshift, it's Ryukyu. How are the children? What! When!? Why… You have got to be kidding me. I'm on my way. I have Fat Gum, Suneater, and Nejire-chan with me. We'll see you there." Said Ryukyu as she hangs up, while also rubbing her temples.
"What is it?" Asked Fat Gum.
"The prison is dealing with a riot." Said Ryukyu.
"What!? But how!?" Said Nejire.
"Ronin freed his family. They then made their way to the loading area to free Blue and Obsidian. But the exit ramp was closed before they could escape. So they went through one of the cell blocks and as the heroes fallowed them, Ronin freed most of the inmates. Wildshift couldn't give me the full run down, but he will fill us in once we get there." Said Ryukyu.
Just after Ronin broke out
Ronin walks out of his cell. The door had hit the fancy woman and pinned her to the ground. The man in the uniform was attempting to sound the alarm. Ronin picks up the door and throws it. The door lands just in front of the office and he slams into it. Ronin then throws the fancy man into the wall, which knocked the man out. Ajay then hugs his uncle's leg, which gets a very rare smile from Ronin.
"I have too warn the others." Said the fancy woman in a low voice, as she crawls towards a panel.
But she doesn't make it far, as Ronin grabs her leg. The woman yelps in pain and surprise. Ronin sees her leg, it looked ether dislocated or broken. The fancy man then wakes up. Ronin grabs the woman by the neck and walks over to the fancy man.
"Open the cells." Ordered Ronin.
"Screw you villain. I know you killed most of the mercenaries on the island. So do your worst." Said the fancy man.
"Sir… John. I can't breath." Said the woman, who struggled to breath.
John then looks at the woman. She was slowly being choked to death. John then grabs Ronin's arm, since Ronin was crouching a bit.
"Stop it! You'll kill her!" Said a worried John.
"I'm sure I won't loose any sleep at night. I'll kill anyone who threatens my family or tries to enslave them. So. Open the cells." Said Ronin.
"I don't have the keys, nor clearance." Said John.
"I do." Said the uniform man.
"Don't do it! If these things get out, who knows how many they will kill!" Said John.
'WHAM!'
Rosin's tail knocks John out. Ronin then stands up and walks over to the uniform man.
"Then open the cells. Now." Ordered Ronin.
"Only if you let her go." Pleaded the uniform man.
Ronin then drops the woman on the ground. It caused her to yelp in pain, again, from her injured leg. The uniform man then opens the cells containing Gale, Neptune, and Artemis. But Blue and Obsidian weren't in any of the cells. Neptune then pins the uniform man to the wall. Artemis hugs Ajay in relief.
"Where's Blue and Obsidian. As in the Velociraptor and Indoraptor." Said Neptune.
"The loading dock! The indoraptor is being transported to a InGen wildlife reserve and the velociraptor is being taken back to the island!" Said the uniform man in fear of being killed.
"Let's go!" Said Ronin, as he knocked the uniform man out.
The five then head for the loading dock. Ajay was slower then normal, so Artemis carried him on her back.
At the loading dock
Obsidian had woken up and he was thrashing against his restrains. The humans had knocked him out and then they put him in a cage. Obsidian hated cages and being restrained. Blue was in a similar position, but without as many restrains due to her not being as strong as Obsidian.
"When I get out of here, I'm going to kill ever last one of you!" Said Obsidian, which got most of the humans near him to jump back when he screeched.
"If you hurt our pack or kill them, I'll rip you to shreds!" Said Blue.
The two raptors see the trucks back up into the loading dock. The docking area was somewhat under ground, with a ramp and gate. The two heard where they we're going. Blue was heading back to the island alone. While Obsidian was heading to a isolated wild reserve, also alone. They didn't know where the others we're being sent.
'CLANG!'
The doors to the loading dock get a massive dent in them.
"What the fu-"
'BOOM!'
'CLANG!'
Ronin bursts through the doors, with Neptune beside him. The two boy's roar and the other humans run away. One was able to close the exit ramps gates before he was knocked out by Gale. Artemis came in with Ajay on her back. One human was able to push the alarm button, but he was bitten by Ronin in the shoulder. The human that Ronin bit, was on the ground screaming in fear.
"GET BACK! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" Screamed the man.
Ronin did have venom, but it wasn't lethal. If someone got it in their system, they would hallucinate and see nightmarish things. He didn't really use it that much, preferring to use his quirks and intimidating size to scare his opponents. Ronin then frees Obsidian, while Gale frees Blue. The Seven hear footsteps coming from the way they previously came.
"Hold it!" Came the voice of Wildshift.
"Move!" Said Ronin.
He then slams his hands onto the ground and the floor in front of the door reforms into a wall.
"This way!" Said Neptune.
They all run down a hallway leading towards the cell blocks and cafeteria. They then get to the main floor with cell block F1 and Ronin kicks the doors off its hinges. The inmates all jump in surprise from the door being kicked down and the hybrids running for the cafeteria.
"What the f**k!? What's a bunch of kids and two dinosaurs doing here!?" Said one male inmate with horns on his head.
"Hey!? Let us out of here!?" Called another male inmate with sharp teeth.
"Hold it! You kids stop!" Said a hero with some police with him.
"Hey. You said let you out. Have a riot of a time." Said Ronin as he destroys ten cells and seals the doors to the cafeteria.
The hero then calls in for back up, while the cops open fire with paint balls or rubber bullets and other countermeasures to resolve the riot.
In the cafeteria
The seven run for the windows and hide. Ronin peers out and sees a mob of people. Some had cameras, others talked into strange sticks. He may have been isolated on a island with his family for five years, but he still knew of some technology. He then sees police vehicles roll up and S.W.A.T members rush to the previous cell block.
"Heres the plan. I'll transform into my dinosaur form and bust down this wall. Once I do that, Gale you get into the air and guide us towards a forest or anywhere that doesn't have lots of humans. Neptune, Artemis, and Ajay, I'll carry you guys. Blue and Obsidian, you two fallow me the best you can. If you two get separated from us, fallow my scent. Clear?" Said Ronin.
"Clear Alfa." Said Artemis.
"Crystal clear Alfa." Said Gale as he puts on his earmuffs.
"Clear Alfa." Said Neptune.
"As you wish Alfa." Said Blue and Obsidian.
As Ronin was about to turn into his Indominus Rex form, when the doors burst open with Wildshift and a few other heroes. Ronin releases a deep growl and his skin gains red markings. Artemis gets Ajay behind her, while Blue and Obsidian flank her. Neptune has fire form on both his hands. Gale flaps his wings and some of his scales come off. Wildshift holds his hands up and he slowly takes some steps forward.
"I don't want to hurt you. I just want to help." Said Wildshift.
"Go to hell. How do I know you won't separate us and turn Ajay into a weapon. So back off." Said Ronin as he growl as he ended his sentence.
Owen stops. He then stares Ronin in the eyes.
"I get it, you hate the guys that tried to take your family away, I get it. I acted the same way when some a****le tried to use my raptors and got most of them killed by the Indominus Rex. Then some guy five years ago clams that my step-daughter is his property. Me and some others are trying to find your human parents. Once that's done, we can go from there. Deal?" Said Owen.
"No." Said Ronin.
Ronin then transforms into his Indominus Rex form. He then roars and slaps away the heroes with his tail. He then charges the wall and rams the wall, with a spider web of cracks appearing.
Outside of the prison
A bunch of news reporters had gathered outside of the prison. Some gathered to get a scoop on Wu's captured. While others wanted to know about the hybrids that some of them had heard about or have seen at the docks a few hours ago.
"We are live now outside of the prison that holds the criminal Henry Wu and the five hybrids. The heroes, nor police, have said anything about them. But a riot has just started a few moments ago, for unknown reasons. We all wait to see what will happen." Said a female reporter.
All of the people outside then hear a muffled roar. They see movement in the cafeteria.
'SHATTER!'
The windows then shatter from a unknown force hitting the wall.
"It appears the riot has moved to another part of the prison. We don't know the severity of the riot, but it seems to-"
'BOOM!'
'CRASH!'
(Insert Indominus Rex roar.)
Ronin bursts through the wall and roars at the crowd. The mob of people all scream and panic at the sight. Gale was boosted up into the air by Ronin's tail and he begins to ascend into the air. Artemis, Neptune, and Ajay can be seen on Ronin's back. Blue and Obsidian flank Ronin as he busts down the fence.
"Keep going straight! Then head left!" Said Artemis to Ronin.
Ronin releases a rumble from his throat in response. Gale sees the streets below, he see Ronin take a left. He then see a forest not far from them. He then looks down again.
"Take the next right… Now!" Said Gale.
Gale sees Ronin take a sharp right. Ronin nearly stumbles, but he corrects himself, at the cost of hitting a side of a building. Gale then maps out the rest of the way.
"Five more streets, then take a left. After that it's a beeline for the forest. I'll call back if I notice anything." Said Gale.
When Ryukyu and her group show up to the prison
Ryukyu stares in shock of the state of things. Cops and SWAT members run around getting things under control. Heroes help remove the mob of reports away from the scene and some heroes head into the prison to help lock it down.
"Ryukyu!" Said Wildshift.
"Wildshift! What happened!?" Said Fat Gum.
Wildshift then goes over what had happened. From the hero association trying to take Ajay away and train him to be a special hero. To Ronin brute forcing his way out of his cell and threatening to kill the woman agent if his family wasn't freed. Him and his family then made their way to the loading dock. They then freed Blue and Obsidian. Owen himself tried to reason with them, but he was, literally, knocked aside.
"Where did they go?" Asked Amajiki.
"They headed towards the forest not far from here. But I'm heading to the prison's conference room since some of the hero association (or HA) is having a meeting about what to do." Said Wildshift.
Owen then makes his way inside.
In the meeting room
"We need to send a team of heroes to track them down and get them detained!" Said one HA male
"No! We send police and heroes to take them out! They aren't humans, they're hybrids! We sweep it under the rug and tell the public that the hybrids escaped. The public then, after awhile mind you, will slowly forget about them." Said another HA male.
"Are you insane! We can't oder the police or heroes to kill children! We detain them and send them off to separate facilities to be trained to be under the radar heroes!" Said a HA female.
'SLAM!'
The people in the room all jump when Owen slams door shut.
"Un-F***ing believable. You all just saw the aftermath of what these kids can do, and you still think you can capture them. You order us to bring them in peaceful, but I knew that wouldn't happen. And now you brought five dinosaur human hybrids back to Japan. To the older ones somethings are new, but the little one is seeing this all for the first time. To them, heroes and anyone associated with them are villains. Now they are going to do anything to protect themselves, the Indominus Rex hybrid doesn't seem to mind killing people." Said Owen.
"Mr Grandy. We appreciate you concerns. But these hybrids are dangerous. We simply have to find them and get them separated." Said one HA male.
"Then what? Train them to kill villains or as you put 'under the radar heroes'. They will not listen to you. As soon as you turn you back on them, they will escape. Once they escape, they will do anything to find each other. You." Said Owen as he points to a man beside him.
"Me?" Said the man pointing at himself.
"Yes you! Do you have kids?" Said Owen.
"Uh? Yes. Two, both girls. Ones twelve and the other six. Why?" Said the man.
"How would you feel if HA's people came and took your kids away for the only reason training them to be special heroes. What would you do?" Asked Owen.
"Well I would demand that my kids be returned to me." Said the man.
"See. Even he somewhat gets it. You separate a member of a pack and the rest will do anything to get them back." Said Owen.
"I believe Mr Wildshift is correct. These five shall be kept together and be sent to UA." Came a voice by the door.
"Yo WildShift! Ryukyu is looking for you!" Said Present Mic
Present Mic wore a black leather jacket with a very tall collar, upturned and complete with studs. He wore matching black leather pants and knee-high boots. On his shoulders are tanned shoulder pads, and he wears black fingerless gloves. He had a long hair spiked upwards that is blond. He wore orange tinned sunglasses. His headphones had the word "HAGE" on them.
"Nezu! We weren't expecting you to be here! Why have you come here!?" Said a female HA.
"That I shall discus with you all, once Mr Wildshift leaves. Mr Wildshift, I believe Ryukyu has a plan for the hybrids. She wishes to speak with you." Said Nezu.
"Uh, sure. I'll be going now." Said Owen.
Owen was a little shocked and a little weirded out about Nezu being a actual animal. Nezu was ether a bear, dog, mouse, or another animal, but he was the principle of UA high school. Nezu is a short man. He has the head of mouse with circular black eyes with a large scar over the right eye. He has relatively rectangular ears, that are pink on the insides. He has a elongated muzzle with a small round nose. He has white fur and has large, dog-like pawns with pink pads. He also has a thin tail like that of a cat.
He sports a white dress shirt, a dark red tie around his neck, a black double-breasted waistcoat, and matching dress pants. He wears orange lace-up sneakers with incredibly thick soles which seem quite large on him.
With the hybrids
They had found a abandoned mining building out in the forest. They close all the windows, save a few of them. Ronin was nursing his injured right arm. When he hit the building, his arm had been injured. Once they had made it to the forest and to the build, he sat down to check it over. He knew he was fast enough to break though a reinforced gate and thin steel beams when at full sprint. But he can't really turn very well when running. He knew his arm was dislocated, but it might be broken. He then peels off his suit's right sleeve.
"Ajay, turn around and cover your ears." Order Ronin.
"You are not doing that thing are you?" Said Neptune in worried tone.
"Why?" Asked Ajay.
"You don't need to see this or hear it. Now do as I say." Said Ronin.
"My god he is." Said Neptune.
"What? You squeamish? You eat raw meat that you tear off animals all the time." Said Gale.
"Yeah, they're food. Ronin is my… Our brother. I hate seeing him do it." Said Neptune.
"Do what?" Said Ajay.
"Ajay. Turn around and cover your ears. Now." Ordered Ronin.
Ajay does as he told. Neptune also turns around and helps cover Ajay's ears. Ronin then places his left hand on his right arm. He then feels it. His arm explodes apart and clenches his mouth shut. He then quickly puts his arm back together. He could heal himself or his family in a instant, but they felt all the pain of being deconstructed and being put back together. But it was worth it in the end, having all injuries or ailments being gone.
"Where's Blue and Obsidian?" Asked Ronin.
"They're out hunting. They should be back soon." Said Artemis.
"Or they're playing hide the-"
'SMACK!'
"OW! WHAT THE HELL!?" Yelled Neptune as Artemis slapped him with her tail.
"Never. Around. Ajay." Said Artemis.
"Hide the what?" Asked Ajay.
"When your older." Said Ronin and Gale.
With Ryukyu's group
"This is a terrible idea." Said Owen.
"How so?" Asked Nejire.
"Well for one. The kids might see us as a threat and attack. Or they will pick us off one by one." Said Owen.
"Come on Wildshift. Their just scared." Said Fat Gum.
"And they have one overgrown turkey and one hybrid turkey." Said Nejire with a small smirk.
Owen then comes to a halt. He then slowly turns towards Nejire.
"Really? A overgrown turkey with this kind of claw." Said Owen as he pulls out a velociraptor claw.
Nejire goes wide eyed.
"Well when this overgrown turkey gets you. She'll drag this claw against your stomach, disembowelling you. Now she'll won't kill you. No, she'll eat while your still alive. So don't call Blue a turkey. Show some respect." Said Owen.
Nejire was still staring at the claw, till Owen put it away. She then flinched when Amajiki poked her. She then speed walks over to Ryukyu. Fat Gum leans over to Owen.
"Geeez Wildshift. You didn't have to scare her half to death. What brought that little speech." Said Fat Gum.
"I was at a dig sight with my parents. I dissed a velociraptor skeleton and the lead man did the same thing to me. I think his last name was Grant." Said Owen.
"Hey! We got tracks!" Said Amajiki.
The group of five head over to Amajiki and see some velociraptor tracks and some bigger tracks. Owen then kneels down and looks at the tracks.
"Blue or Obsidian must have been through here. Looks like one of them was carrying something or someone." Said Owen.
"Uh, I think it was dinner." Said a sick Amajiki, as he sees a deer carcass behind some bushes.
Nejire visibly looks sick, while Fat Gum shivers. The deer was nothing but a head and one leg. The rest was gone. They then hear a distant raptor call. Owen turns his ears into bat ears.
[Pro hero Wildshift! Quirk Primal Manifest! He can shift his body parts into animal limbs! After years of training and honing his skills, he can change small parts of his body. He can form any animal limb on his body, even wings on his back. But he has to know what kinda of animal he is shifting to. He can even copy limbs of Dinosaurs! He can increase his sight, hearing, and smell by changing his eyes, ears, and nose! The duration of the transformations varies! He always readings up on animals he has encountered or has never seen before to refresh himself!] Narrates Present Mic.
Owen hears the call again, this time from in front of them. He then shifts his ears back to normal. He then slowly makes his way forwards and signals the others to the same.
"That was Blue. She must be heading back to the others. Obsidian must be with her. We have to move quietly and quickly to fallow them." Said Owen.
They then fallow Owen. After awhile they come upon the mining building. They just make out Blue and Obsidian heading into the building with some deer in their mouths. Ryukyu then takes a deep breath. She then brings out a flashlight, as she sees the building was dark inside and it was slowly getting dark. Facing four human dinosaur hybrids, one velociraptor, and one dinosaur hybrid in the dark was a death wish. Nejire then grabs Ryukyu's arm.
"I'm coming with you." Said Nejire.
"Kid you do not want to be in there. They could kill you." Said Wildshift.
"But Ryukyu is injured! If they attack her, she will be defenceless! If I'm there, I can get us out in no time!" Argued Nejire.
Ryukyu knew Nejire was right, but the risk was too high. Ether she died or both of them died. But Nejire seemed determined to go in with Ryukyu no matter what. Wildshift then comes up with a compromise.
"Fine, how about this. Fifteen minutes. That's all you two get. After those minutes are up, the rest of us charge in and get you ladies out. Worse case scenario, Fat Gum becomes their new chew toy. Your time start as soon as we can't see you." Said Wildshift.
"Thank you. Let's go Nejire-chan." Said Ryukyu.
Wildshift, Amajiki, and Fat Gum watch the two women walk towards the building. They then see the two disappear in the dark ness. Wildshift then starts the timer on his wrist watch. Fat Gum then looks at Wildshift.
"You we're kidding about me being their new chew toy right?" Asked Fat Gum.
"No. They would definitely make you their chew toy." Said Wildshift.
"Then what about my precious Suneater here? Sure he has to work on his self confidence and all, but what about him?" Asked Fat Gum.
Amajiki grabs his heart, as if he was shot by a arrow.
"He's so cruel!" Thinks Amajiki.
Wildshift looks at Amajiki.
"To them, he's a very light snack. Probably not worth eating." Said Wildshift.
Amajiki sits on the ground holding his knees. A small tear drops from his left eye.
"He's even worse!" Thinks Amajiki.
The three however don't notice two pairs of glowing eyes watching them from the darkness by the doors.
Inside of the building
The two women look around the building. They stay by each others sides. Nejire had her own flashlight to use, same for Ryukyu. So far they hadn't found the kids or the two raptors. Nejire had lost her cheerful and curious nature, those we're replaced with just one thing. Fear. Just pure fear. She couldn't see the kids or raptors. They could be right beside her, just waiting to kill her. She then begins to shake and sweat. But she stops when Ryukyu holds her hand.
"Calm down Nejire. We'll find them. If not, the others come in to help us." Said Ryukyu.
Nejire nods her head.
'CLANG!'
"EEE!" Squeaks Nejire in fear at the sound.
The two whip around to see a pipe had fallen from the upper floor. They then aim their lights up and just miss the end of a tail whipping behind cover. They then hear another pipe fall, this time right beside them. Nejire then feels something slowly drag across her neck and she fires off a weak blast behind her. But the wave hits a barrel. Nejire was close to breaking down in a panic attack, when suddenly something hits her stomach and carries her out the door.
"RYUKYU!" Yelled Nejire in fear.
"NEJIRE! AAA!" Yelled Ryukyu in fear and pain, pain due to her stitches being strained.
Ryukyu had also dropped her flashlight and the light had went out.
"Damn it. This hurts." Said Ryukyu in a low voice, as she holds her stomach.
She then looks around for the flashlight.
Outside the building
"How much longer?" Asked Amajiki.
"They got four minutes left. It makes you sound like you have a crush on Nejire-chan." Said Wildshift.
Amajiki turns multiple shades of red. Fat Gum had a huge smile on his face. The three then hear Nejire scream as she was carried out of the building by red scales. The scales throw her to the ground, hard enough for her to roll all the way to them. But she springs up and was ready to charge back in to help Ryukyu. But Wildshift grabs her.
"Let me go! Ryukyu is in danger! We have to help her!" Said Nejire in a panicked voice.
"Thats going to harder then expected. Look at the door." Said Wildshift.
The other three then see Blue and Obsidian's glowing eyes in the doorway. The three then gasp.
"They've been watching us!?" Said Fat Gum.
"They might have just wanted to talk to Ryukyu. Or they might have found out that she's their mother by smell." Said Wildshift.
"What's Ryukyu's percentage of surviving?" Asked a scared Nejire.
"Not sure. Ether a one percent chance or three percent depending on her negation skills. That's just a given due to how the others treated them." Said Wildshift.
They slowly begin to worry for Ryukyu's life. Amajiki lets Nejire cling to him for comfort.
Back inside the building
Ryukyu fumbles around looking for the flashlight. She had done a small transformation on her eyes. She could now make out small things in the dark, but she would bump into larger objects. She then crawls around on the ground.
"Come on. Where is it!?" Said Ryukyu in a desperate tone.
She then feels the wind shift around her and a deep growl was heard. One of the children had turned into their dinosaur form. She then feels something brush up against her hand, it was the flashlight.
"Yes!" Said Ryukyu in relief.
'Click'
Ryukyu turns the flashlight on and looks up. But she freezes.
"Ah?" Said Ryukyu.
The reason, the light was shining right into Ronin's eye. She sees the pupil narrow due to the light. Ronin then releases a deep rumble from his throat. He then hisses and bares his fangs. Ryukyu tries to crawl back, but her injury flares up. She grunts in pain while she slowly leans on a support pillar. She was just mere inches from rows upon rows of teeth.
"Why do you people keep fallowing us?! We just want to be left alone! You humans only see us as weapons, freaks, monsters! But no! You humans don't care! You only take what's yours and leave behind nothing!" Said Ronin.
"That's not true. I am genially trying to help you. I all ready know who your mother is and another pro hero is trying to keep you kids together. Just please listen to me." Said Ryukyu as she slowly stood up.
Ronin for his part, just wanted to snap his jaws shut around Ryukyu's head and leave. But the traitorous part of his mind took over. When he, along with the others, first met Ryukyu, they smelt something familiar. Like it was them, but different or not entirely them. Sure Ronin wanted to meet his human parents, but he also had a very, very small fear of them not accepting him. But he could live with his human parents not caring for him. He then looks at Ryukyu.
"Speak your mind about the hero trying to keep us together." Said Ronin.
"His name is Nezu. He thinks it is a good idea to have you and the older hybrids attend UA high school. The HA already doesn't want you or your family living on that island, due to them not being able to know what your doing and possible being taken by villains. You could be great heroes." Said Ryukyu.
"You mean weapons. Just another way for the government to use us." Said Ronin with a growl.
"There's a saying we humans have. About people that have monstrous appearances." Said Ryukyu.
"What saying?" Asked Ronin, who inched closer to Ryukyu.
"Actions speak louder then words. Show the public and government that you, nor your family are monsters. Not beasts. Not freaks, nor weapons. Not even hybrids. Your.. Just.. Humans." Said Ryukyu.
"Please work! Please work! Please work!" Screams Ryukyu in her head.
A few seconds pass, before something happened. Ronin is consumed in a whirlwind. Ryukyu see Ronin walk up to her and pick her up. At first she was afraid he would snap her in two, but she then gets a piggy back ride by Ronin. Ronin then releases some calls and the other children come out of the darkness. They then head for the door.
"So your taking me up on my offer?" Asked Ryukyu.
"Yes and no. I simple want to keep my family safe. Since the government already knows we are still around, villains or other governments will come after us. But don't think for a second I, nor my brothers or sister, will kill you if you betray us. If becoming a… Hero stops the HA from coming after us, then so be it." Said Ronin, who paused for a moment when he said the word hero.
"We also would like for you not to keel over, since you only know about our human parents." Said Artemis as she carries a sleeping Ajay.
They then leave the building and run into Wildshift, Fat Gum, Nejire-chan and Suneater. The four we're relieved to see Ryukyu alright. Even more relieved that they didn't need to resort to violence to bring in the hybrids. Blue walks beside Ronin, which put her beside Owen. She then flicks Owen's ear with her tail and the man just smirks.
"Same old Blue I remember." Thinks Owen.
"So, Ryukyu? Who are our human parents?" Asked Gale.
"Well they have been able to separate the human and dinosaur DNA to get a read on your mother's DNA." Said Ryukyu.
"And she is?" Asked Neptune.
"Well, you see. I'm your mother." Said Ryukyu, as she sweats a bit and braces herself.
The four teen hybrids all come to a halt. A few seconds pass before they say something. They seem to take in a deep breath.
"WWWWHHHAAATT!" Yelled Ronin, Neptune, Gale, and Artemis in their respectful dinosaur language.
Seven weeks later
UA was a huge campus. Having multiple city like training grounds and outdoor training grounds. It even had a new lake in its walls. The lake was added for Neptune to swim in or to draw in wild animals. A large house was by the lake. It was two stories tall, with four rooms and two master bedrooms. It had two bathrooms, with the master bedrooms having there own bathrooms. The main floor had a large family room, small to medium bathroom, laundry room, small storage room, and three of the six bedrooms. The second floor had a small living room, both master bedrooms, a large kitchen with two fridges, a large bathroom, and the other bedroom. In the corner of the living room, was a spiral stair case to the roof sun deck. The house was a dull grey colour with a white trim.
"Thank you again Nezu for making this place on UA grounds." Said Ryukyu, who was out of costume.
She wore jeans, a white shirt, a blue hoodie, and sneakers. She was carrying a somewhat heavy box full of items, when it was taken from her by Ronin. Ronin wears loose jeans, a red long sleeve shirt with a sword and shield design on the back, and he was still bare foot.
"Your still healing Ryuko." Said Ronin.
Ryuko just sighs. The children had somewhat grown comfortable around her, but it was still slowly. Artemis had small conversations with her, lasting only a few minutes, but they we're getting longer. Gale was somewhat excited to learn about her and vice versa for Ryuko. Neptune and Ronin we're both still distant to her, but they we're getting closer to her. Ajay loved to play with her. Blue would always watch her like prey, just waiting for the right moment to pounce on her if she screwed up. Obsidian was the most distant, moving to a new room when she came in.
"With them being on UA grounds, they can learn and train at the same time. I though living in a crowded city would stress them out, so having them live on school grounds would have them less stressed. It also allows us to keep an eye on them just incase." Said Nezu.
"Yeah right fur ball." Said Artemis as she passes them.
Ryuko notice Nezu tense up. When the children met him, Ajay nearly ate Nezu, due to Nezu being an animal with a quirk that makes him more smarter then a human. Luckily Ryuko was able to stop them before they ate him. Artemis wore a tank top that was purple, with red shorts. Ryuko had noticed the red skin marks on Artemis, but they we're natural. Like Ronin, she was also bare foot. Gale then walks up to her.
"Yeah. Just to give you a heads up. Artemis and skirts don't mix. She wore one once and tore it to shreds. That was when we we're heading for the island five years ago." Said Gale.
"I'll make some arrangements for Mis Artemis to get some pants." Said Nezu.
"I heard they found out Artemis and Gale's fathers. When will they meet them?" Asked Ryuko.
"They should be here soon. From what I heard, Ronin and Neptune's DNA has some extra DNA in it. It's possible that's what gives them their extra quirks or something else entirely. Here comes Gale's father." Said Nezu.
Hawks comes swooping in. He lands and walks up to them. Gale just tenses up when he saw Hawks. The number three hero was also on guard, since he and Gale got off on the wrong foot.
"Yo! So why was I called here?" Asked Hawks.
"So you can get to know your son Hawks." Said Ryuko, as she sits down to rest.
Gale wore a tank top with holes in the back for his wings. The tank top was sky blue, with a cloud design in the bottom. He wore a light grey pair of loose trousers. He was also bare foot like Ronin and Artemis. Hawks rubs the back of his head. Gale was also avoiding eye contact with Hawks. Ryuko then comes up with a idea.
"How about you two go for a fly around UA? You know, get to know each other." Suggested Ryuko.
"Sure." Said a uneasy Gale.
Hawks and Gale then take off and head towards the UA wall to fly around the campus. Artemis comes over and watches them leave. She just sighs. Sure she liked talking to Ryuko, but it was difficult. They had very, if at all, little in common. Sure they talked about certain things, but it was mostly to get reintroduced to the human world. Ajay lover Ryuko as his grandma, which got some chuckles from Ronin, Gale, and Neptune from the first time Ajay called Ryuko grandma. But those three went silent when Ryuko gave them a wicked glare. At least they know where Ronin got his signature glare from. Artemis then smells someone to her right. She slashes at them, but she hits nothing but air.
"I see your reflexes are as sharp as ever, even when you are in human form." Said Edgeshot unfolding his head.
The pro hero then fully unfolds. Ryuko smiles and nods her head in welcoming gesture. Nezu also bows his head a little. Ronin just watches from a distance, with Obsidian laying down beside him.
"We're glad you could make it Edgeshot." Said Nezu with a smile.
"I am also glad. Artemis. While I can never undo what the others or HA has done. I would like to apologize for hurting you during our fight on the beach that day." Said Edgeshot.
"Apology… Accepted. Your lucky my tooth grew back." Said Artemis, as she pulls back her lips to show a new tooth growing back.
"I didn't know you had multiple teeth." Said Ryuko.
"Me nether. I just get slit discomfort when the new tooth begins to grow under my tooth. I don't know how or why, I am able to regrow teeth." Artemis.
"Shall we go on a walk to get to know each other?" Asked Edgeshot, who was also a little awkward around Artemis.
"Why not." Said Artemis, as she leads Edgeshot towards a trail.
Neptune jumps out of the lake and lands on the ground. Neptune was shirtless and he had on ocean blue swim trunks with a wave like pattern on the left leg. Blue jogs over and hands him a towel.
"So Gale and Artemis are meeting their fathers? Have they found Ronin and my father?" Asked Neptune.
"They're still separating the DNA Neptune. You and Ronin had some extra DNA in you, so they are trying to get the right DNA strand. Be patient, they will find them." Said Ryuko, as she puts her hand on Neptune's shoulder.
Neptune nods his head and heads inside to change into some proper clothes. Ryuko looks at Nezu.
"Is Wu awoken yet? Or is he still unconscious?" Asked Ryuko.
"No. He is still unconscious. But once he begins to wake up, All Might will have some words with him. All Might's old sidekick Nighteye is also helping a bit to find Neptune's and Ronin's father." Said Nezu.
"Just hope they aren't villains." Said Ryuko.
"If they are, we will find them and bring them in." Said Nezu.
Nezu then heads back to main UA building. A special hero with a memory quirk was coming in tomorrow to prepare the hybrids for school. Nezu would also do some searching as well. Soon the exam will be coming around. The hybrids won't need to do the practical exam, due to their five years of experience living on the island. But they will have to do the written exam. They can also do the practical exam if they wanted to, but they can decline the offer to show off what they can do to the other teachers.
A certain successor will soon meet a certain hybrid and learn of his quirk. Another certain ice and fire boy will also meet a certain hybrid. And a certain underground hero will have more sleepless nights ahead, along with some headaches.

Done. Chapter two of Jurassic Heroes! My new jobs training is coming up near the end of August and I'm looking for a place to rent. So I'll be a little slow on getting a new chapter down. Just like my other stories, I jump around them to get each chapter done for them, so don't nag me to get a certain story updated. I do like a tiny bit of nagging to get me to do the chapter, but I only need a little bit for me to get it done. Peace and stay safe.
