Hey guys, MegaSalamence64 here, I'm back with another One Shot, This one is not tied into the overarching Galeem/Dharkon plot but rather exploring some of Lucina's relationships beyond Shulk, Her Family, Bowser Junior and Pichu.
Yup, It's got some moments with Samus in this story, but no Ridley since this is a Sm4sh Era Story (this story takes place before Cloud, Ryu, Bayonetta and the Corrin twins were announced)
With that out of the way, Enjoy this one shot:

'Well things have been interesting so far….' Lucina thought to herself as she wandered around the hallways of the Smash Mansion.
It was only a week since she and her mother Robin were accepted into the fourth annual Smash Brothers tournament and things were quite interesting to say the least.
It was not just because it was a new area that was more advanced from their time to say the least, but there was also the fact that she got to meet the Hero king Marth in the flesh.
Though she have never actually directly interacted with the Hero king, She learnt from the other smasher like the Radiant Hero Ike that Marth is a nice and humble person like the stoic individual the legends often made him out to be.
When Lucina finally got the chance to interact with the Hero King, Ike's words were true and she was able to become friends with her ancestor despite some problems with her moves being similar to him.
Beyond Marth himself, she has also made a couple of friends in the form of both the blue robot Mega Man and the dumb but loveable angel Pit with the latter helping her when she was down.
Though Dark Pit and Palutena were individuals that took some time for the young exalt to a just to, More so for the goddess of light.
'Still, I haven't found this much joy in interacting with others ever since what happened with me and Mother…' She thought to herself as she cringed at all the times she tried to interact with Robin after she returned to the living ever since Grima's death at her hands.
A part of her knows that she can't move on the time she tried to kill her due to seeing Validar took control of her and causing her to link it to her father's death and by extension causing the twisted future she came from.
Before the invites to the Smash tournaments were sent out to them, Lucina had a hard time interacting with her mother which usually ends with her backing away from her or failing to say what she wanted to tell her.
'No matter how many times I tried, I just can't move on from that incident.' The young Sapphire haired princess thought to herself as she cringed at the memories of the attempted matricide just out of desperation, which she would have done, had not been for her love for her mother.
'I wasn't thinking straight back then…' She continued her train of thought as she recalled what the consequences of her actions should she pushed the blade into her mother's heart.
Both were the fact that the future she thought would happen would be deprived of a great woman who helped her father against both the wars against Plegia and Valm and her little brother Morgan will not be born because of it….
Along with it being the last time she see her smile and voice if she did so.
'Mother may have willing to accept death by my hands…' Lucina thought to herself as she continued walking down the hallways as tears started to stream down her face. 'But what sort of daughter… would point her sword at her own mother?'
While Robin still consider her as her daughter and that there was nothing for her to forgive, Lucina did not see it that way, Something her grandfather even said to her when he saw her.
"No matter what you do and say child, Your just as much of a monster as I am… We're more alike then you think." Were the words that he said to her, almost like he was aware of both her actions and the attempted matricide.
'What if Validar's right and I'm… I'm… Just as much of a Monster as he is?' Lucina thought to herself while trying to fend off the words of the madman whom wanted to plunge the world into total destruction via the Fell Dragon Grima with her mother as his vessel. 'What if I'm truly am no better then he or Grima?'
"Well, I surprised to see you here Lowell," Said a voice as Lucina stopped her train of thought to see whom has said it.
It was Samus Aran, One of the original twelve smashers and the most stoic of them.
While Lucina has yet to interact with her that much, what she did learnt about the Bounty hunter from both Mega Man and Pit, She was someone who kept to herself save for a select few she considers close friends one of them being fellow veteran Pikachu.
"Oh hello Samus," She answered back to her senior as properly as she could. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I noticed something about your behavior and I thought I want to check on you." The Bounty hunters said back to her with a firm look. "Besides we can talk this over lunch."
"Oh ok," The Young Exalt answered back to her with a puzzled look on her face. "But why?"
"Well it's a secret." Samus answered back to her with a smile, Just meet me at Mansion's cafeteria later ok?"
"Alright then." Lucina answered back to her. "Let me just refreshen myself first
"Well, See you soon." Samus answered back to her as she soon left the hallways with the young Exalt doing the same as well.

As soon as she refreshed herself, Lucina then made her way to where Samus asked her to meet.
"Well you're on time, not bad." Samus said to the young blue haired princess as she made her way to the cafeteria.
"Thank you Samus." She answered back to the Bounty hunter.
"Don't thank me yet, Let just order our food first." She said to her with a smirk. "Then we'll talk."
As soon as the two smashers ordered their food, They sat down on one of the tables in the area.
"So Lucina, I take that you're friends with Mega Man right?" Samus said to Lucina with a firm tone in her voice.
"Well yes," She answered back to her. "He and Pit were the first friends I made here."
"Well, I'm also a friend of his." Samus answered back to her. "I sure he told you that right?"
"Well he did say he consider you his surrogated aunt." Lucina answered back to the Bounty Hunter as she looked back at her. "Though he never really told me about how you and he became friends."
"Well, It's a topic I save for another day." She answered back to her with a smile. "It's regarding you and your Mother that I wanted to talk about."
"Wait, How do you know about what happened with me and my Mother?" Lucina answered back to her in a shock tone.
"Well, Let's just say that I heard what happened from Pikachu." Samus answered back to her. "He said that Robin was worried about you lately and while she's happy your making friends lately, she's been worried about you avoiding her lately."
"There must be a reason why you have been avoid her lately Right?"
Upon hearing what the Bounty hunter has just said, Lucina face turned to one of both doubt and shock as she heard the words come out of her mouth.
"It's… It's complicated Samus…." She answered back to her in a doubtful tone. "It's something I haven't found the courage to forgive myself yet."
"….Look Lucina, The more you think like that the worse it be for you." Samus answered back to her in a firm tone. "You have to ready to forgive yourself whether you like it or not."
"…Your right about it Samus, but I'm curious to know why your telling me all of this." Lucina answered back to the bounty hunter in shock.
"Look Lucina, Even if you have issues with your mother. You can't keep hiding them to yourself." Samus answered back to the Exalt. "I used to be like that before."
"Then what happened?" She questioned the bouty hunter with a concern look overtaking her shocked one. "What made you change your mind."
"…Well before I entered the Smash Tournaments, I wasn't the most social person." Samus said back to her in a firm tone as she took a sip from her drink. "I prefer to work alone."
"But you get along with Pikachu and Rock, so how did you chose to insolate yourself?" Lucina questioned her senior with a look of concern.
"Well, I had my own personal reasons why I prefer to work alone in the past, She answered back to her." Samus answered back to her. "I… Was forced to see the people I loved and care die."
"I didn't have a brother like you or any else I could call family after the Chonzo, the people who took me in die by the hands of Ridley and his space pirates."
Upon hearing the name of the Space Pirates, Lucina's face turned to shock, She heard stories of him from both Mega Man and Pit when they teamed with Samus to stop him and their respective enemies Dr Wily and Medusa.
From the way they described the Space dragon, He was ruthless and vicious, willing to kill in cold blood, Almost like Grima in a way.
"You… you don't have anyone you could have a shoulder to cry on?" She said back in shock at what she has just heard from Samus. "You don't have a family left after Ridley… Killed them all?"
"Yes Lucina it's true," Samus answered back to her in a grim tone. "Unlike Grima however, Ridley doesn't stay dead for long, he's always finding ways to kill me even robotizing himself for the sake of revenge."
Upon hearing those words coming out of Samus's mouth, Lucina then looked back in shock at the words that have been said by one of the most fearless members of the original twelves.
She may willing to put on a tough woman persona at times but deep down, she was copping with traumatizing memories just like her.
"You know what I went through the same problems as you did Lucina." Samus answered back to her. "I know the feeling of losing those you love to the giant dragon of death."
Shock soon returned to Lucina's face when she heard Samus's words. She never expect her to be like so similar to her, especially with how they both lost the ones they love to a giant dragon.
"I…I.. don't know what to say Samus…" She said to the bounty hunter in shock as she took a sip of drink.
"It's understandable Lucina." She answered back to her junior with a small smile. "But that's way I wanted to talk to you about your relationship with your mother."
"Well, what is it?" Lucina questioned her in a worried tone.
"Remember, you're lucky to be able to save your parents, don't waste it." Samus answered to the young Exalt. "Just remember to not drive away her and move on from the past."
"Thank you Samus." She answered back to her with a smile with slight tears rolling down her eyes. "Thank you the advice."
"No problem Lucina..." She answered back to her with a smile. "But remember, You need to recollide with your mother on your own."
Lucina then gave a small nod back to her as they soon resumed to eating their lunch, but not before she shot a glance at Robin interacting with Pikachu on a nearby table, No doubt bringing up her to the latter regarding how to make things right with her despite her akwardness around her.
'Samus's right that I need to make things right with Mother on my own,' She thought to herself as a look of determination. 'Don't worry Mother, I will make things right with you!"

Author's Note:
Well, I have to admit, this story may have some mentioning of Robin here, But I do want to bring up how Lucina was initially reluctant to talk to her after Grima's death at her hands due to the attempted matricide (Again, A good reason why Chrobin helps enchances FE: Awakening's story) before they both were invited to the Smash Tournaments.
Yeah, Mega Man and Pit being friends with Lucina is something of a minor headcanon of mind thanks to both Flying Chariot's and Brawlingwolf stories that features the both of them in the main character role with Lucina.
On the Topic of Pit, If you check out my profile page, you may have noticed a story featuring him and Lucina in a romantic relationship. Yup I'm a Lucit fan and before you ask, That story is a seperate continuity from the Deluxe-Verse.
Yeah also extra Headcanon is that Samus and Lucina get along well due to their experiences and how they lost their love ones to killer purple dragons.
Paternal Bonds of Smash will be this story's sequel so expect it soon. ;)
