A/N: In a world where everything is a hot mess, there comes a time where we need fluff. So to do this, I'm going to need your help. Imagine a world where everything happened up to cannon in season 2, and then, Chuck was not sent off to train, but was trained by Casey and Sarah. For some reason though, Chuck has quit flashing, and is depressed. Sarah has been trying to find a mission to give him back his confidence. Beckman has found a mission, but it is one that will test them, in a way they have never been tested…they must be contestants on…The Newlywed Game. This fic is unbeta'd
A/N: I don't own Chuck, I don't own fluff, but I do like to mix them every once in a while
"Sarah, are you sure about this?" Beckman asked.
"General, he needs a win," Sarah protested. "Bryce died, training has not been the easiest, and now he can't flash. General…Diane," she said softly. "He struggling so hard, and he's trying so hard. Too hard. We need a layup."
"This assignment would not be a layup," Beckman said.
"But-" Beckman raised her hand.
"You misunderstand, for him…I think it will be fine," Beckman told her.
"Any cover, I have…wait, is he going to have to seduce someone?" Sarah asked.
"No," Beckman said, rolling her eyes. "This is Marcus Dupree, suspected arms smuggler," Beckman told Sarah putting a file on the screen. "For years we have been trying to get information on him, and we have finally created the technology that can clone his phone. The problem is, someone has to be near him for over twenty minutes to complete the cloning of his phone."
"Fine, we break in," Sarah began.
"No," Beckman replied. "He lives in a fortress, however, we have discovered a place we can have someone placed near him." Beckman paused, and watched Sarah. "He is newly married and his wife is wanting to be on a new game show because she thinks it would be fun."
"So we're going in as makeup artists?" Sarah asked, confused.
"No," Beckman replied. "You're going in with Chuck as contestants."
"What's the gameshow?" She asked, her throat dry.
"The Newlywed Game," Beckman answered. Sarah stared at Beckman. "That's what I thought, I'll find-"
"We'll do it," Sarah said softly. She cleared her throat and looked up at Beckman, steel in her gaze. "We'll do it," she said more confidently.
"Sarah, you can't just try and get through this, you'll-"
"I'll have to be real, and let him in on everything, and be honest, and…do everything I've tried to bury my whole career," Sarah said. "There has to be absolute trust with my partner, and I do. I trust Chuck."
"As well you should," Beckman replied, lifting an eyebrow, turning off the connection. Sarah swore Beckman was smirking.

"Sarah, are you sure this is a good idea?" Chuck asked the smiling Sarah Walker, backstage. "I mean…we're not really married."
She smiled at him, and smoothed his shirt, looking into his eyes. "Chuck, we can do this," she said with a confidence that nearly knocked him on his ass. "Listen, this game is about who notices what, and, 'spy'," she said pointing to herself. "Knows everything about me," she said, pointing to him.
"Sarah, there are things I don't know, about your past," Chuck said. "And, I'm not saying that to be mean-"
"No, I know you're not, but, if anyone can figure out a decent answer it will be you. We don't have to win the game," she reminded him.
"I mean, it would be kind of funny if we did," Chuck replied, grinning.
She was silent, starting at him. "If we did, some might take that as a sign." She took a deep breath. "Ready?"
"Wait, you don't believe in that crap, right?" Chuck asked. "Signs?"
"I don't know, a lot of stuff went wrong with my parents and they took it as a sign," Sarah told him.
He was silent for a second. "So, when they ask something…how are we going to play it?" She gave him a questioning look. "You know, like we did with Ellie and Awesome on game night?"
"Be honest," she replied. Chuck stared at her. "I trust you, you trust me, I'm here, training you, we're together, and we'll get through this."
"We are?" Chuck blurted out. She gave him a look. "Hey, I'm sorry, but there's so much that's been unsaid since Barstow, since the wedding, since Bryce died. I wanted to go on a vacation with you, to get away from everything, but what I really wanted to say to you was-"
"Carmichaels it's time!" the producer called.
"Carmichaels?" Chuck asked. "Wait, what happens if this gets to air and someone sees us, and knows who we are?"
"This ep will never get to air," Sarah told him. "Beckman will have it destroyed. So, be honest, so as not to spook our mark."
"Will you be honest?" Chuck asked. She froze, swallowed, and turned to him. She gave the briefest nod. "Thank you," he said softly, grinning at her. She returned his grin.
"Let's go do this," she said, taking his hand, and giving him a big smile.

The questions had been easy for the most part, but Chuck learned that was just a warm up and the filming hadn't began.
"So," their host, Zac Levi said. "Here comes the hard ones." Zac read the question and Chuck's eyes went wide. Sarah was in the other room, unable to hear. He was told to answer honestly. Could he? Could he really?

Sarah returned a little later, and gave him a big smile. He returned it, but she could read him. "How bad?" she mouthed. He widened his eyes and she wanted to rub at her forehead at the migraine that was beginning to form. She took his hand and squeezed it.
Zac asked all the ladies the first question, and her eyes went wide. She wrote down her answer. They were the third of the three, and Sarah glanced down at the cloning device, they were 75% of the way there. She wanted this over with. He needed a win. Hell, she needed a win. Did he want more than a vacation with her? Were they more, were they just stupidly attracted to each other and that was it? She gave herself a mental headshake. While she was sure Chuck Bartowski had had a meaningless fling here or there, or maybe he hadn't, she couldn't believe the last two years had been just physical attraction. God knows it hadn't been on her part.
"So, Sarah," Zac asked. "Would Chuck rather spend an evening in with you, or a night out with you?"
"See, that question is a trick question when it comes to Chuck," Sarah began, a grin on her face. She glanced over at him and smiled. "He would rather go out, but he knows I would rather stay in, so he wrote down," she showed her card. "Stay in."
Chuck pulled out his card, showing Sarah was right, and shrugged.
"Nice," Zac said, very impressed.
"Easy," Sarah mouthed.
"Yeah, it gets worse," Chuck replied. "How'd you know that?"
"I know my Chuck," she said softly. She felt his gaze, the wonder in it, the questioning, and she felt it slowly change to something more. It made her shiver.
Zac asked the next question of the women and Sarah felt her stomach drop. She wrote her answer, sure they would get this wrong.
"Sarah?" Zac said, startling her as she was lost in thought, but she held it together where no one noticed. "What would be your dream job, other than the one you are doing now?"
There was no way he'd know this, she had never talked about it before. "I'm not sure of the job, more of a catch all field," she said, holding up her card. "I'd want to work to help those less fortunate than me, or those in need."
"That's awesome," Zac said. "Chuck?" She turned and her eyes went wide. "Judges?" Zac asked, after reading Chuck's card that said, Helping underprivileged. "They are allowing it!"
"How'd you know?" she asked, not moving her lips as Zac went to the others.
"I know my Sarah," he replied. She blinked. She blinked again, this time to blink away tears.
"Backstage, you were gonna say something," she began.
"Can we date now that I'm an agent?" he asked softly. She couldn't answer, her voice was absolutely gone. She couldn't say anything, she just slowly nodded. "Sarah Walker, will you go out with me?"
"Yes," she managed to get out and then she turned and looked at him.
"Hey, you two," Zac said with a grin. "I know you're newlyweds, but no making whoopie on TV!" Everyone laughed. Zac then asked the finale question, and Sarah thought she would pass out.
"Just be honest," Chuck said softly, and she had to grip the table not to turn and attack his face with hers.
Everyone gave their answer and it came to Sarah. Zac grinned at her. "The good news is, regardless of your answer, you two have the most points and have won our game." Sarah glanced down and saw the cloning device was at 100%. She didn't have to continue this. It was now her choice, and she made it right then and there, no qualms in her about it. "Sarah, who fell in love first between you and Chuck?"
"I did," she said softly, raising her card. Chuck raised his card, that said he did.
"Okay, now I have to know," Zac said, the studio laughing at that. "Chuck, why do you think you feel in love first?"
"Halfway through that first date, I did. I didn't realize it at the time, but…she cared about me, about who I was, and didn't have to," Chuck said, looking down at her. He looked up at Zac. "She cared about who I was, and I don't know about you, but that's so rare these days." Zac nodded. "For someone to be interested in you, when you're a nerd, when you've been branded a loser for something you didn't do, and she saw through that…crap. And, she saw me." He looked into her eyes. "I fell in love and didn't know what to do about it for too long." He smiled at her. "So I'm just gonna let her know for now on how much I love her." He paused. "I love you,' he said to her. Sarah kissed him gently on the lips, the audience "Awwww"ing.
"So, Sarah," Zac said. "Is he right?"
"Nope," Sarah replied, a smirk on her face. She turned to Zac, Chuck's jaw dropped. "See, I fell in love with him from the first time I met him. He was fixing my phone, and a father hadn't recorded his daughter's recital properly. Here I was flirting with him, and he excused himself, to save this guy's marriage." She turned back to Chuck. "But, if that wasn't enough, he went and told a little girl that was about to preform in front of a big box store to save her parent's marriage that real ballerinas were tall. All to give her confidence. That's who Chuck Bartowski is. He's a man that believes in you. He's a man that sees the best in you when you can't see it yourself. And I fell for him so hard, and haven't stopped falling." She turned to Chuck. "I love you, Chuck." And with that, she kissed him.

In the control room
"Christ," Casey muttered. "If this don't make him start flashing, nothing will."
"Don't forget they just won a two week vacation," Beckman said, grinning. They watched as Chuck and Sarah pulled apart and then Chuck made a face. "Yep, he just flashed on CIA agent Marcus Dupree." Chuck looked around, and said something to Sarah. She looked right at the camera.
"Perhaps we ought to take that vacation," Casey said, the two of them scurrying to the door.
"Perhaps," Beckman agreed.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed it, I hope it made you laugh and smile.
