It had been ten years since it happened to twenty nine year old Wesley Crusher. He still has nightmares about that always causing him to have an anxiety attack. He gets them easier than when he was a kid now.

He was in bed with Josh next to him as usual.

He was on his way to Ten Forward on his lunch break when he was grabbed by someone.

"What are you-" he started then froze.

It was a new officer that he hadn't gotten along with at the Academy last year.

"I'm doing what I should've done before you were expelled for getting better grades than me."

He gulped and saw the officer get undressed.

He started to sweat and try to get away but the officer was to strong.

Then the officer started to undress him.

He was scared knowing what the officer was going to do.

Then he had no clothes on and felt the officer inside of him.

Then the officer raped him hard.

'Please no.' he thought multiple times while he got this done.

A few minutes later the officer stopped and smirked.

"I hope to do that again." the officer said and got up and redressed.

"Don't tell anyone."

He was shaking to scared to do or say anything. Then the officer left.

Then he woke up panting sweating with his heart pounding.

Then as usual he started to have an anxiety attack.

While he tried to calm down Josh woke up hearing Wesley panting and feeling him sit up.

"Wes?" he said half asleep but got no answer.

He sighed.

So he sat up and held him close causing him to jump and look around.

"It's ok, it's ok. It's just me." Josh said getting him to calm down.

Wesley took a deep breath and started to calm down a little.

As usual it took him an hour to get him to calm down completely.

It was 4:00 in the morning when he was calm again.

"Feel better?" Josh asked and Wesley nodded.

"I'm sorry." he said.

"You don't have to be sorry. The usual nightmare?"

He nodded so Josh held him close.

"Don't worry, it's not going to happen again."

He nodded and then sighed.

"You think you can get back to sleep?" Josh asked.

"I think so."

So Wesley laid back down in Josh's arms helping him to calm down and fall asleep.

A few hours later they were at the daycare and saying goodbye to Jack and Andrew.

"I'll see you later kiddos." Wesley said smiling.

"By dad, by papa." they said together.

"We'll come get you for lunch as usual." Josh said smiling.

"Ok."

Then they said good bye to Ashley and Wesley headed to the bridge and Josh headed to the engineering.

Data was now Commander Data because Riker had been promoted to Captain last year and now works on the Titan. Deanna had a friend that had everything she did and now knew everything she needed to. She kept a close eye on Wesley like Deanna used to.

They would come to birthdays and to see how everything is going on.

Deanna and their daughter Ellen had felt a little anxiety with Wesley the last time they visit and helped him calm down.

When he got to the bridge he sat down smiling as usual and was set up what he needed.

Beverly was now working off the Enterprise for a while because they needed another staff at Starfleet. Since Wesley is twenty nine and on the Enterprise they asked her and she agreed. Picard will still keep an eye on him for her though.

Data would still let Wesley see Spot and her kittens.

They were all surprised they get along with Wesley and the twins.

When he got to the bridge he was smiling as usual.

"Captain, Commander." he said and went to sit down.

"Ensign Crusher, take us to warp 89." Picard said smiling to.

He wished he could say Lieutenant Crusher. After being an ensign for almost fifteen years he had enough experience to be one.

'Perhaps I'll talk to admiral later tonight.' he thought.

Throughout the day everything was going fine as usual. Wesley, Josh, Jack and Andrew had lunch together and then Wesley was in the engineering the afternoon.

Later that night Picard was in his quarters calling admiral.

"Jean-Luc, what can I do for you?"

"I was just thinking about Ensign Wesley Howard Crusher and that he had been an ensign for almost fifteen years."

"Has it really been that long?"

"I know, it seems like just yesterday he first got here at fifteen, a child. And now he's almost thirty years old and a father. Anyway, I was wondering if you were thinking that after all his experience here if we could possibly turn him into Lieutenant Crusher?"

The admiral sat there in shock.

"Captain Picard, he didn't finish the Academy. How would he know how to be an officer? And with his anxiety?"

"I understand that he has anxiety and it's worse after the incident happened ten years ago and he was expelled, but I had asked Captain Riker to teach him what he needed to be taught to be an officer."

Admiral sat there thinking.

"He did well at school and the Academy while he was there. I suppose he could give it a shot. And if it doesn't work then he can go back to being Ensign Crusher."

"Alright. His birthday is tomorrow so I'll make it a birthday present."

"Alright. Is that it?"

"Yes."

"Alright, let me know what he does."

"Alright."

Then they hung up and Picard smiled.

"This is going to be his best birthday yet."

Then he went to bed.

The next day Wesley had just hit the snooze button and didn't feel Josh.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!" they said together getting him to smile.

"Thanks. Breakfast in bed, wow." he said smiling.

"You saved us all last week so we wanted to make it a special one." Josh said and gave him a kiss.

Wesley turned a little red after hearing that he saved them all, again."

"We're a big family and I have fifteen years experience here." he said and shrugging smiling and still a little red.

Later after dinner as usual there was a party.

"Happy birthday Wesley!" everyone said and he smiled.

"Thanks everyone. Fifteen years already, wow. Seems like just yesterday the Captain told me to get off his bridge after telling him what was going on."

That got everyone to start laughing.

"I knew everything you started to try and tell me when you let me go on the bridge and sit on your chair." he continued causing everyone to laugh even harder.

Especially Riker, Deanna, Beverly, Worf, Data and Geordi.

"You did what?!" Andrew and Jack said surprised.

"I let him and Beverly come on the bridge and I let him sit on my chair and started out telling him what things were but he already knew it all." Picard said laughing. "You were the one that knew what was going to happen and I kicked you out."

That part got Wesley to turn red.

"You did what?!" some people that weren't there when Wesley was there at fifteen causing him to turn even more red.

"Yeah, he's saved us plenty of times. He was an acting ensign at fifteen after figuring something out." Riker said. "Then a full ensign Crusher at seventeen after missing his exams from saving us all again."

"Shut up!" Wesley said as red as a tomato.

"Anyway, I have a gift for you Mr. Crusher." Picard said with a box in his hands.

"You didn't have to get me anything sir." he said and grabbed the present.

"Oh I think you're going to see what it's for."

Wesley looked at Riker he shrugged, Data who shrugged and then Beverly who shrugged and shook her head.

So he opened the door and froze in shock.

"Wesley?" Josh said.

"Dad?" Jack said.

Everyone was getting worried it was going to be an anxiety attack. Beverly started to move but Picard put his hand out to stop her smiling.

"Well, aren't you going to show them what it is?" he said smiling.

Wesley picked it up and everyone was shocked at this.

A yellow and black uniform and not a red and black.

"Is this, a new uniform like Geordi, Robin, Worf and Data used to wear?" he said.

Picard nodded.

"But only officers wear something like this."

Then it hit him.

"But, but how? I was expelled!"

"I talked to admiral last night and told her that you had been on here for fifteen years and had technically finished the Academy here after Captain Riker teaching you everything you needed when you came back. She said that after learning everything you needed here you could give it a shot. And if you don't like it you can get back to being ensign."

"Wait, sir, did you talk to admiral about Wesley being an officer?" Geordi asked.

"I did Lieutenant."

Beverly had tears going down her face.

"So, are we going to be having a Lieutenant Crusher or still Ensign Crusher?"

"I would like to go bye Lieutenant Crusher sir." he said smiling.

"Alright then. I want to see that uniform on tomorrow."

"Yes sir!"

A few hours later they were going to bed.

"Night dad, papa." Jack and Andrew said.

"Night Jack, Andy." Wesley said and gave them a kiss.

Then Wesley and Josh went to bed.

When they got up the next day Wesley was standing in the mirror looking at his new uniform.

"I can't believe I finally got it." he said smiling.

On their way to the daycare people were looking at him smiling that he made it to an officer.

When they got there Ashley shook her head.

"Look at you, one minute the fifteen year old headache to us all and now a thirty year old officer that can still give us a headache and save us all." she said.

"Hey! I'm not the only one that gives everyone a headache, Jack loves the engineering to."

That got Josh to start laughing.

"Nobody can beat your engineering history." he said and Wesley was a little red knowing he was right.

"Fine. Nobody can beat my engineering history. Now come on, I have engineering first."

That got both Josh and Ashley to burst out laughing.

"Alright, alright. See you later you two. Josh said and then they went to the bridge and engineering.
