155It's been a while since I updated this one well not really but you get the idea here it is for chapter four Danny and Angelica

After Many Dates Danny and Angelica
"Twenty eight girls" Susie asked skeptically amazed at what her blonde friend had told her but than again it could just be Angelica exaggerating what her boyfriend said to make herself sound better
"Honest to god that's what he said twenty eight he picked me out of twenty eight girls" Angelica said sounding sincere but Susie wasn't so sure
Angelica honestly could be telling the truth she saw for herself when she sang on stage with Chip Skylark when Howard had sent her a link to the video of Chip the blonde in front of her
And a dark haired boy with blue eyes that hat to he the mysterious boyfriend Danny Fenton
Singing improvised lyrics to 'Icky Vicky' with a decent voice at least better than Angelica's when they were little
But than again a dying elephant sounded better than a three year old Angelica singing My country tis of thee
Susie watched Angelica just smiling while looking at her phone and this wasn't a I just got juicy gossip smile or a that top would look great on me smile
No Angelica was smiling warmly and Susie Carmichael had a distinct feeling that the reason Angelica was wearing her heart on her sleeve was because of the mysterious Danny Fenton
Well mysterious to Susie at least since she's never met the guy
Danny blocked a massive blast of blue fire from none other than the One hit blunder Ember McLain
Danny had been having a relatively normal day enjoying the last few days of his summer vacation and just when he was about to relax Danny's ghost sense goes off and he finds Ember robbing the music store she squatted in during the ghost kings invasion
Danny's eye's glowed blue as he fired an ice blast at Ember
"Really Ember robbery aren't your plans usually more thought out than this" he said shooting at the flaming spirit
Ember dodged around the ice blast before holding out her guitar "hey sometimes a girl just wants to cut loose" she said firing a wave of sound at Danny that sent him flying into a wall
Ember pointed her guitar towards Danny pulling a string up as ghostly energy began to build up
"Any last words dipstick" she asked
'Any last words seriously' how cliche can you get Danny thought before smiling at something behind Ember "yeah look behind you"
Ember laughed "oh come on that's the oldest trick in the book" she said before she got blasted in the back Danny pulled out a thermos sucking Ember inside quickly sealing the lid he looked to his doppelgänger before they combined into one
"Man I am so glad I learned to do that" Danny said rubbing a sore spot on his back where he had crashed into a mannequin
Thankfully it wasn't holding anything to expensive like a guitar or something but still man that hurt
Danny flew off before the police could come to try and arrest him or blame him for the damage
Something that had gotten worst since his honor mayor Plasmius had taken office by literally overshadowing all the voters
But at the very least the fruit loop wasn't trying to assassinate his dad marry his mom and make Danny the Darth Vader to his Emperor Palpatine
Danny floated down finding a quiet place to change back from Phantom to Fenton pocketing the thermos in his backpack
Danny walked out hearing his phone ring Danny smiled seeing it was his girlfriend calling Danny answered it "hey what's up"
Vlad frowned watching from his monitor as Daniel defeated the fiery spirit of rock and roll Ember McLain before he spoke to his girlfriend
Of course Vlad had looked into the little badgers current significant other
The girl certainly had an expansive digital profile if Vlad didn't know better he would think that she was just a typical teenaged girl but Vlad did know better
Over the past month while taking a part in this teen dating service Daniel had made alliances with Kim Possible Supergirl the daughter of Mr. Incredible one of Tokyo's resident superheroes
Daniel had even made an appearance in GOTHAM having dispatched justice alongside Gotham to the so called queens of crime Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn
Even Vlad during his early years building his fortune avoided Gotham City while there was a number of banks and wealthy families in Gotham there was also the Batman
Back than Batman was an urban myth police propaganda to induce fear in the many criminals but now Batman was a founding member of the Justice League a symbol of justice
There were even tee shirts with his symbol on them sold to children
Than of course there was the little badgers trips to New York another place Vlad would dare not go not because it was home to a multitude of heroes
No because it was home to the undisputed king of the underworld Wilson Fisk the Kingpin of crime
While Vlad did not believe this girl was Supergirl no he had checked the facial recognition software had turned up negative
There may be more to this Angelica Pickles than meets the eye so for now he would wait until he had more intel before he made a move
Vlad was pulled from his thoughts when Skulker phased into his office through the floor Vlad frowned
"I told you not to come here Skulker" Vlad told his hired ghost mercenary though some days Vlad wondered why he bothered to keep the mechanized hunter on his payroll
He had hired him to kill Jack Fenton but he went against his orders and went after Daniel who at the time Vlad had assumed that Daniel was simply a ghost and not another halfa like him
Skulker actually looked scared for a moment "sorry but I found something while digging into the whelp that you'll find interesting"
'Interesting' Vlad thought wondering what Skulker could be talking about as the hunter pulled out a tablet handing it to Vlad
The older halfa read through the information detailed on the screen once done Vlad smiled
He had no idea who was behind this little gambit against the little badger but he wouldn't object
This could be useful for his own plans though
Danny found a discrete place to land ironically it was the alley by the Java Lava Danny turned as a Japanese girl came out with a garbage bag throwing it into the dumpster before walking back inside
Danny sighed as he turned visible
That was a close one if people started to see Danny Phantom outside of his hometown in the place where Danny Fenton's girlfriend was well let's just say it wouldn't be good for Danny's secret identity
Danny checked to make sure he had everything his phone his flowers he even checked his breath
Checking the address one last time Danny walked through the town toward his destination Angelica's house Danny gulped
To meet her parents
Yesterday after his fight with Ember Angelica had called saying that his parents wanted to meet him to her house for lunch with his parents
Angelica had tried to play it off as not a big deal but Danny could tell she was hoping he'd say yes
Danny agreed buying a bouquet of roses putting on his best clothes Danny approached Angelica's house it was big but it wasn't a mansion or something
That would be even more intimidating Danny took in a deep breath letting out slowly as he walked towards the door
This was new territory for Danny meeting a girls parents the only experience he had was when he took Paulina to the dance and her dad scared him more than Skulker
Than there was Mr. Grey he liked Danny but didn't want her caught up in ghost hunting like his parents
Which was fair Danny didn't want that either Valerie was already tough enough to take on now with that upgraded armor of hers
But with training from his parents Valerie would be a nightmare and might actually catch him
Danny shuddered not something to think about before meeting his girlfriends parents
'Focus Fenton' Danny thought as he reached the door 'focus on making a good impression on your girlfriends parents that can't be too hard right'
Danny rang the doorbell waiting nervously for someone to answer opening the door was Angelica a big smile on her face
"Hey stranger" she said looking at the bouquet in Danny's hands she smiled "what happened to roses being expensive" she asked jokingly
"They are" Danny said "but this is a special occasion" Danny said as he walked into the house it was nice with modern looking furniture and some paintings hanging on the wall
Danny felt something fluffy brush against his leg looking down he saw an old Persian cat with white fur and a bow wrapped around her neck
"Hi" Danny said looking down at the cat kneeling down Danny pet the cat behind the ears she purred stepping closer to Danny
Sure Danny was more of a dog person but he liked all animals that weren't trying to eat him
"That's my cat Fluffy" Angelica said walking over picking up the car holding her close
Danny laughed "Fluffy really"
Angelica rolled her eyes "I was three not the height my creative expertise" she said walking over to the couch placing Fluffy down gently "there you go old girl" Angelica said "go back to your nap"
Danny smiled watching his girlfriend with her cat she really loved that thing makes sense if she's had it since she was three
Angelica walked over dusting off the cat hair "so ready to do this I promise they won't bite"
Danny nodded "born ready" he said trying to hide how nervous he felt
Drew Pickles watched from behind a corner at his princess interacting with her boyfriend like many fathers before him and many after him Drew wasn't ready to see his only child so grown up
It felt like only yesterday he and Charlotte were bringing her home for the first time and now look at her in the blink of an eye she was dating a boy who seemed to mesh well with her he even got along with Fluffy
The old Persian cat was content to spend most of her time napping and avoided strangers actually she was like that even when they just got her only really liking Angelica
Behind Drew his wife tapped him on the shoulder "well how is he" she asked
Drew looked back to his wife "I don't know I haven't met him yet"
Charlotte pushed gently on his shoulders "well go go let's meet our daughters boyfriend the zoologist"
Since Charlotte heard the name Danny Fenton she had been trying to remember where she had heard it eventually finding the answer she needed in a old magazine
Apparently their daughters boyfriend was a genius whose actions ended up saving a kind of rare gorilla
Drew and Charlotte walked into the living room Angelica noticed them walked over bringing her boyfriend with her
"Mom Dad this is my boyfriend Danny Fenton" Angelica introduced turning to Danny "Danny these are my parents Drew and Charlotte Pickles"
Drew watched as Danny looked nervous bringing Drew back to when he was meeting Charlottes parents for the first time he was so nervous he had sweat right through his shirt
Danny stepped forward "hi Mr. and Mrs. Pickles it's nice to meet you" Danny said holding out his hand nervously
Drew smiled shaking hands "it's nice to meet you too Danny" Drew said letting go of Danny's hand gesturing towards the kitchen "well let's not stand around while there's food waiting for us"
Danny smiled "that sounds good" he said before walking with the Pickles into their dining room
Danny sat with his girlfriends immediate family around their table worrying that he would say the wrong thing as he ate the pasta on the plate in front of him
"This is really good Mrs. Pickles" Danny said politely smiling at his girlfriends mother in the corner of Danny's eye he saw a take out container sticking out of the trash but he wasn't going to say anything
Danny wanted to make a good impression not accidentally diss his girlfriends parents he really didn't want to deal with another Paulina's dad situation
Mrs. Pickles turned her head to where he was looking seeing the trash can "your sweet Danny but I didn't make this it's from the restaurant I take investors to" she explained
Danny nodded holding up his cup "well you have good taste than" he said with a small smile taking a sip of his water
"So Danny" Mr. Pickles began Danny looked to him worried that he was going to begin some kind of overprotective dad speech about what he'd do to Danny if he hurt his little girl
Instead this happened
"How long have you been interested in zoology" he asked
Danny frowned "zoology what are you oh right" Danny said as he remembered what Mr. Pickles was talking about
The first time he ever fought Skulker when he was doing his extra credit assignment
And apparently he was the only one to really look to see if one of the only purple back gorillas in the world was a boy or a girl
Danny laughed "I'm sorry to disappoint you Mr. Pickles but I'm not interested in zoology" Danny said before he went on to explain just WHY he was in a magazine
By the end of the story Angelica was trying and failing not to laugh "only you could end on the cover in a WOMENS magazine" she said while struggling to hold back her giggles as long as she could before she lost the fight laughing
Danny laughed too "yeah my sister wasn't happy with me for that one" Danny chuckled
"You'd think a zoo would at least check something like that" Mrs. Pickles said laughing too
Danny shrugged "maybe they were respecting her privacy" Danny said saying what he said to Mr. Lancer who was just as stupefied
Danny and his girlfriends family continued to laugh and enjoy their meal together
Danny smiled as he walked towards the bus stop prepared to head home after what he thought was a pretty successful lunch with his girlfriends parents with previously mentioned girlfriend offering to walk with him to the bus stop
"So I think that went well" Danny said smiling at his girlfriend Angelica smiled
"Yeah I think we survived the meal with minimal embarrassment Gorilla Boy" she said jokingly
"Gorilla Boy" Danny asked questionably Angelica just smirked at him
"Well I'm probably the only girl in the world brave enough to get close to a four hundred pound gorilla to see what gender it is" she snarked with a smile
Danny laughed sure that was pretty brave though in all fairness he learned it on accident and purple back gorillas were good for taking down ghosts who knew
"So if you get to call me Gorilla Boy do I get to call you Rocky for how you knocked out Dash" Danny jokingly asked
"Sure Gorilla Boy you can call me Rocky" Angelica said sarcastically "as long as your cool with being single again" she said flashing him a smile
Danny held up his hands in surrender "ok I promise I won't call you Rocky" Danny said as they reached the bus stop
Too soon in Danny's opinion Danny smiled "so call you when I get home"
Angelica smiled back at Danny "I'd like that Gorilla Boy" she said
Angelica let go of his hands kissing him on the cheek "see ya soon" she said walking off Danny smiled turning around when he bumped into someone
"Hey sorry about that" Danny said rubbing his nose Danny got a good luck at the guy he bumped into
He was wearing a suit with a pin on his jacket that looked like some kind of bird he had receding brown hair and nice blue eyes that looked sad
"I'm sorry too" the man said before Danny felt something shoot him in the back some kind of energy it made him feel tired
So tired he couldn't keep on his feet as he fell to his knees the man pulled out a pair of high tech handcuffs
"Danny Fenton by the power invested in me by the United Nations and the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistic Division I place you under arrest for robbery and allegiance to the terror organization known as Hydra" the man said as he put the handcuffs on his wrists
Strategic what why did that sound familiar something about those initials wait a minute now Danny knew
Tucker had told him about these guys a secret task force of agents from across the world that protected people from threats S.H.I.E.L.D
They were real
After everything he's seen over the summer he shouldn't be surprised
But what was that about Hydra specifically Danny being a part of this
"Big mistake not Hydra" Danny said before he passed out whatever they shot him with knocking him out
And that's the chapter what's going to happen to Danny find out next time on After Many Dates Danny and Angelica
