Humanity discovered life in the deep reaches of space and, as a measure, sent the space station 'PEACE' to make contact, hoping to establish a Brotherband with these beings and grant a better understanding of what is out there.
Disaster sadly followed as PEACE disappeared and only turned up months later as a piece falling into the ocean.
Just like that, the future seemed bleak, but it hurt far more for the son of one of PEACE's members, turning to isolation to block out his pain.
This is his story, but also the story of two friends, met under the stars, developing more than just a friend, but a Brother to lean...
Geo Stelar stepped outside the door and paused to adjust his new accessory, the Visualizer that rested on his head, before moving on, hearing the few people around him as he walked his way, past the school that he was 'intended' to be at and heading up to Vista Point when a voice called out. "You there! Wait!" He lightly sighed in his head as he backtracked and looked up the school way to see three people coming toward him. The lead was a girl his age in a blue dress and blonde hair in two drill-like braids while her cohorts were a large, bulky type of guy that yelled 'enforcer' to Geo while the other was a short smart-looking guy as the trio stopped a few feet from him and the girl spoke, her voice matching the one who called out. "You're the one, aren't you? The boy that never comes to school." Though Geo said nothing, the girl went off in a introduction. "I'm Luna Platz of Echo Elementary, class 5-A, which makes me your Class President!" She then gestured to the two in respect. "The big guy behind me is Bud Bison, and the short one is Zack Temple." Geo said nothing still and that evoked a reply from Bud as he grunted.
"Hey, jerk! Don't just stand there! Say something!" Zack followed suit in support to the 'Prez'.
"The Prez is waiting for a response!" Geo remained quiet before he spoke, wishing to not be dealing with them right now.
"...What do you want?"
"Nothing." Geo didn't relax as Luna continued in her speech. "But it's my job as Class President to see that all of my classmates attend school!"
"Uh, what?" She didn't sigh as she continued in explanation, like a practiced speech.
"I hate it when things are not perfect, so having one person missing is unforgivable!" Geo shook his head as he replied.
"Sorry, but I've got nothing to do with you." This didn't go over well with the two as they looked ready to dash past and grapple Geo to the ground.
"Hey! You can't say that to the Prez!"
"How dare you! The Prez is telling you to go to school! Don't look down on us because you're taller!" Luna didn't let them as she eased them down with a look.
"Bud! Zack! That's enough!" They settled down as Luna returned to speaking as she asked. "In any case, Geo, I expect to see you at school tomorrow." Geo didn't say anything more as he turned and left, the trio watching him go before they left it, but Geo was not fully released as the Prez sent a message to his Transer about the importance of Brotherbands and a deeper message of going to school. He skimmed it and headed up, pausing when he spotted a youth like him, except he was wearing a sortie of clothes that gave off a pilot look with a bomber jacket, long jeans, a blue shirt that said 'Fly the Friendly Skies', and had a small tool that he flipped a few times before he paused, the multi-tool closing up as he pushed off from the railing before speaking.
"Oh, sorry, didn't know that anyone else was coming this way, I would have cleaned up a tad." Geo looked at him in silence as he took notice of a small film in front of his right eye, attached to a ear piece that somehow covered a small portion of his right side, curious about it as the guy continued. "It's fine, I was just looking to the sky for a bit, I'll be out of your hair in no time." The youth walked to leave and Geo paused before he groaned, secretly regretting his choice, but did it just the same and spoke.
"Hey..." The youth paused as Geo spoke. "Could you... stick around a bit, just... don't talk right now, okay?" The youth smiled with a zip and a flick and he returned to his place, the daylight finally fading away to the nightly sky, the many stars shining in the void of the unknown as Geo looked up to them, speaking to himself. "Dad, Cassiopeia is so bright tonight... Oh, and today, this man named Mr. Boreal came to our house." The youth smoothed over his hair as he was looking at a pocket mirror, musing over his look before a frown as the front of his teal hair sprung back into its weird hook down the left. "And he gave me your Visualizer... It's got some sort of special lens, and it feels like it has a special power, but what can I see with it?" He gripped the railing as he asked some more. "If I use it, will I see you...?" Without further telling, he slipped them on, but then everything looked green, his heart dropping as he briefly noticed the film on the eye piece change blue and he groaned. "...What am I kidding? Dad, where are you? I miss you so much... ...Dad."
However, without warning, his Transer started to beep and he raised it, slightly grinning as the mirror nearly lost itself to the ground in the guy's surprise. "What's..." His eyes widened behind the Visualizer as he recognized the meaning. "Th-This is dad's access signal!" The sound increased and Geo stammered in surprise. "It's getting closer and closer!" Suddenly, with a clap of what was like lightning, a bolt of something coursed through Geo's body as a yelp came from the other guy as he screamed, everything turning white before voices came, but not theirs.
"...So this is Earth..."
"...Indeed, we have arrived to a new shelter..." Geo stirred from the flash and strike to see something... else than just the starry sky, eyes widening as he yelped to the bestial thing that was hovering over him and what looked to be pathways in the air. The thing moved off him in floating with some weight as he sprung to his feet, the other guy knocked out by the flash as well as he roused himself back up with what looked to be a drone with three yellow lens.
"Wh-Wh-Wh...!"
"You can see me?" The thing's mouth moved like a normal being and that scared Geo greatly as the other guy looked and laid back down in commenting 'craziest sight I have ever seen' before pulling himself up with the drone hovering with it's teal area while the thing's body before him was shining green. "That's funny. Humans aren't supposed to be able to see energy beings like me..." Geo asked the blatant question as he shook in his boots from both the shock and surprise.
"A-A-Are you a monster!? Why... Why are there roads in the sky!? That's not the Milky Way, that's for sure! Am I dreaming?" As if on a whim, Geo quickly slipped off the Visualizer and it all disappeared as he echoed the same thought. "It... disappeared..." Curious, he slipped it back on and jumped when the thing appeared again. "It's back!" The thing nodded as it understood something right off the bat.
"Now I get it. You can see my EM body with those glasses."
"But-But... But I didn't see a thing earlier." The idea lodged itself into Geo's mind that something was off with the Visualizer, something clearly valued to the piece itself, but what could it be and why his dad's, were there more like it or was his the only one. He dismissed that thought as the guy seemed to see the same things with the eye piece and he listened as the thing spoke with a huff.
"I must've activated some hidden power of those glasses when I zapped them." A jump-start to Geo's mind as the guy only remained silent to the thing looking at him as the thing continued it's rant before Geo could get a word off. "Hey, didn't anyone tell you not to gawk!?" It or He shrugged as he continued. "But I guess I can't blame you, kid." So Geo asked the more important question, wondering if the other was involved with this thing.
"Wh-Who are you?" The thing smirked as he answered.
"The name's Omega-Xis, but humans get it all wrong, so just call me 'Mega'. I'm from Planet FM, so I'm what you humans call an 'alien', I guess." He pointed a finger and Geo flinched to the point. "But to me, you guys are the real aliens!" He continued as if Geo wasn't going to faint again. "Normally, you humans can't see my EM body, which is made of electro-magnetic waves, but somehow, I guess with those glasses, you can see the Wave World." He pointed to the road way and Geo was actually interested to hear more. "That road you see in the sky is a part of the Wave World; a Wave Road." Omega huffed as he finished. "You got all of that, Geo Stelar?" This really caught Geo's attention, as well as the unknown guy as he glanced over with steady arm holding him on the railing with his alien saying nothing for the moment, or at all for now.
"Wh-Why does an alien known my name!?"
"I heard it from a human I met in space."
"That human... Could it be...? Was it my dad!?" He glanced up and back again as he asked. "Dad... Where is he right now!?" Unfortunately, the moment was ruined with the huff and puff of something big and heavy as Geo yelped to the ground shaking while the other guy stabilized himself and Omega turning with a grimace with the other alien.
"They're here already?"
"They're here? Who's here?"
"The creeps who are after me, that's who, kid." Down the way and in front of the way back into town was the antique train, alive and active as smoke poured out of its top and Geo spoke in shock to how it was now moving.
"What the!? That train's not supposed to be able to move!" Omega explained out as he hovered still in observing.
"EM viruses from Planet FM. They're going to destroy the town with that." Geo sharply turned as he returned volley.
"What!? If they did that, it'd be a disaster! Plus, mom's still at home!"
"There's only one way to stop that train." Omega punch a clawed fist into a palm and smiled. "Go into it and delete those EM viruses!"
"Delete those viruses? But how?"
"Like THIS!" With that, Omega turned into a orb and slammed into Geo's Transer as he yelped, the same happening with the guy as he stared at his red Transer in surprise, Geo looking at the screen to have Omega inside. "Now listen up, kid. You wanna stop that train, you do what I say. Got it? You humans have those Care Force things, right?"
"Yeah." Geo was not too sure where this was going, but Mega was going on all cylinders as he continued.
"Take out one of your blank cards." Omega explained it out as Geo also learned that through the card he drew which was transformed into something new through his power and Mega then guided Geo to a Wave Hole to do something and he did so as he stood on the swirling pool of energy and called out with the motion of activating the card.
"EM Wave Change! Geo Stelar, On The Air!" He swiped and raised his Transer, vanishing as the youth readied himself, doing the same thing before he leapt toward the Wave Hole and shouted.
"EM Wave Change! Alex Stratos, On The Air!" He disappeared before he slammed into the ground and headed up to the Wave World above...
Geo appeared on the road, eyes closed as he was sure that he was built up for nothing, only to start that he was no longer on the ground, but in the air, ON the Wave Road, his left hand the exact face of the alien Omega and his body was armored in blue, the only human part still seen was his hair as he started. "What is with this getup!? A-And my hands...!" He couldn't continue as the same head opened its eyes and spoke, turning his hand without control.
"Hey kid! Quite screaming like a girl!" Omega explained it out as he directed Geo's attention about, they were in the Wave World and he fused with the alien so they were in wave form. Geo started to panic, but before he could say anything, another came and stood up, Geo surprised as the figure was a shade lighter of a blue than him and was armored differently, mounted on his shoulder was a gun battery of some sort that connected to a large pack on his back and twin pistol-like weapons on the sides, his hands free from any sort of alien involvement, and his eye piece became integrated with a face-piece that looked like a respirator as he looked over his body in surprise before humming.
"Well, not what I was expecting, but I can handle it." He looked at Geo and squinted. "Man, you are looking a lot more different, but you know..." A hidden smile came as he slung an arm on Geo and spoke. "Now we are two misfits with aliens in our Transers, let's make the most of it, come on!" Before he could attest, Geo found himself dragged along for the ride as the other guy spoke. "Get into the train and what...? Oh, delete them and your role in this is...? Your power is weaker here than on your home, that's a weird compare, but I can see why, more widespread waves there while here is just minor in a way."
Geo was sure that he was talking to his alien somehow, but he didn't question it too much, he was more scared of the fact that he was dragged into this and it wasn't going to be the alien fighting, it would be him fighting the viruses, but he dismissed it as they arrived to the closest point to the train and entered its Comp Space to be confronted by the viruses that looked like miner caps atop small black midgets and he briefly listened to Omega about how it was to be done, his Megabuster, his empowered Battle Cards, and the Mega Attack that enabled him to target a distant and close the gap to use his blades and such, but the real surprise was the guy's layout with his guns, his own Buster Cannon, his Battle Cards used like a Transer, and some sort of interface that reminded him of something he played before his dad vanished. After it was done, Geo huffed in relief as he spoke.
"W-We won...?" Omega chimed in.
"You did better than I expected, kid. You've caught my interest. Think I'll hang around for a little bit longer! How you like that?" Geo glanced at his hand and refused.
"A little longer? No thanks!" He breathed as the other guy just listened while meddling with some weird data on the mobile terminal. "I'm really sorry, but no way am I getting roped into something like that again!" Mega sighed as he spoke.
"Oh? Then I guess... you don't want to hear about your old man...?" Geo stammered as he tried to divide the two things.
"B-But that's got nothing to do with this!" Mega somehow shrugged as he spoke with a 'remorseful tone'.
"Well, if you don't want me hanging around, I can take a hint. See you, kid..." Geo groaned as he spoke up, not wanting to be trapped in there and wanting to know more about his dad, like what happened to him.
"W-Wait!" Mega waited as Geo sighed and spoke. "OK, you can stay in my Transer for a bit, just please tell me about my dad."
"Glad we agree, partner!" Hook, line, and sinker did Geo get roped into it for the long term, but before then, the duo moved the train back into place and they returned to the Real World where Geo wanted to walk home alone, but he decided otherwise as he paused for the other guy and asked.
"Who are you, if you don't mind?"
"Not one bit!" The guy said as he started, first with a extended right hand. "Name's Alex Stratos, full name is just Alexander, but you get the point." Geo shook it as Alex continued as they headed to Geo's house. "I actually enjoy looking up to the sky and wishing to see my dad, but it's been three years since then and I keep on wishing."
"Three years?" Geo spoke as he furrowed his brow before asking. "Don't tell me that he was on PEACE too!?"
"Ring the bell!" Alex chuckled before wiping a tear out. "Sorry, I get emotional when I think about it and how NAZA just... stopped searching from an empty section, you would think that someone was alive to pilot that thing back to Earth, it isn't automated one bit!" Geo thought about it and nodded in realization. It was a clue, none of the systems on PEACE were hot-wired for automated guidance or flight, at least not the distance traveled to get to this 'other' planet and back, the connection would have been severed and the fragment left to float through space.
"So who was your dad, I lost mine on PEACE too."
"Yeah, Miguel Stratos, a carefree type of guy, but he was the best, one of the aspiring tech whizzes and one amazing pilot." Alex smiled as he continued, looking at his Transer. "Though he helped me with getting my game up and running, been playing it since then to remember him, but my opponent just left around the same time."
Geo glanced over and his eyes widened as he recognized the data game, it finally clicking for him as he downloaded it on his dad's request, said a 'firend' made it to be fun.
"Conflict!"
"Oh, so did my partner-in-crime tell you, he was a great guy, never could beat him in it though, was actually the only guy to have it and play it like me."
"Y-Yeah, I knew the guy..." Geo stammered as he lightly cupped his Transer, he had just found the same guy that had beaten him before he wised up and learned how it went, nearly losing with a close victory as 'StarMagnus' with all of his units but one surviving while 'AvianStriker' had none in the end. "He showed me a match or two, it was fun and looked awesome, but I didn't fit right into the scene at first."
"Man, he was great..." The smiled faded some as he spoke. "He was great, but he dropped out and off and I have been honing my skills for the day he came back, but he was gone, I just didn't want to accept it yet, he got me to be more involved." He shrugged as he turned away. "Catch you later, maybe we'll meet again, knowing us misfits, right!?"
"R-Right!" Geo shyly waved good-bye before he headed inside and went to bed, laying there for some time with Visualizer on the bedside table before he lifted his device up and powered it up, no alien for the moment, so he sorted through his things before powering Conflict up and typing out a simple message. 'Hey, I am not staying too long, but can I get a match?'
'Sure thing, Stelar, you got it from the master himself." Geo knew that meant that Alex recognized him, but he didn't mind too much as the two battled into the night and it turned out, though he lost while Avian won, it was a fun game between two new-found or 're-found' friends...
