Hey guys! Some of you probably read my story and think that this was gonna be related to it. Not even close, in fact, this story is going to take a drastic turn compared to my previous one.

Enjoy!

Oh, I don't own MLB.

"H-He's gone... too far..." Ladybug hissed as she clenched her teeth, openly crying as she watched the life in his eyes fading. She clenched her fist to the point where if she was not transformed blood would be dripping.

"My Lady..." Chat Noir said as he tried to comfort her but didn't touch her to give her some space. "I-It's not your fault..."

"D-Damn it Chat!" Ladybug snapped at him. "I-If I had know... If I was not so distracted, h-he would've..." She trailed off, biting her lower lip to stop from screaming.

"There was nothing we could do... I'm sorry Ladybug." Chat exhaled as he pulled her into a hug, relieved that she wrapped her arms around his waist. Chat then turned his gaze back to the person lying on the ground.

The guy looked like to be in his early 40s, bald head, looks relatively clean, and was on the thin side. He looked pretty average compared to the other people living in Paris. The only thing standing out was that the guy was wearing a hospital gown.

Chat inwardly winced when he remembered what happened after the guy was cleansed and Ladybug fixed everything. To think that this was probably the hardest battle they have ever fought. His grip on Ladybug tightened when he remembered that battle.

Thirty minutes earlier.

"RAAAAGH!" The akumatized victim roared as purple beam was being fired from its head.

"Hey, what kind of name is Brain Dead anyway?" Chat taunted as he backflipped to avoid a beam heading towards him. "What? Did you fail a quiz and got so embarrassed?!"

"Raaggh! SHUT UP!" Brain Dear roared, clearly pissed to the point that the beams he was firing was now out of control. He was hitting anything within range; buildings, cars, even people.

"Chat! Careful! We don't know what his power is yet!" Ladybug exclaimed as she grabbed people and pushed them out of the way. "Go! Hurry and leave this place! He's out of control!" She shouted and the civilians seemed to snap out of what was holding them back and started running.

It was actually really strange. When the Akuma first appeared, it didn't try to hit or chase anyone. It was just walking aimlessly along the roads, muttering to itself. In fact, it seemed that the Akuma was ignoring everything around it, lost in its thoughts. It only started attacking when Chat Noir provoked it.

It was then when a beam was able to hit a woman and Ladybug wasn't fast enough to get to her. Blinding light suddenly filled the space where the woman was and when it subsided, the woman was still there but was now crouching and started muttering.

"Miss! Are you ok?!" Ladybug asked as she crouched next to the woman but was ignored.

"Why didn't I accept that job offer... Why did I break up with him... I shouldn't have trusted that slut... I should've seen the signs..." The woman was muttering, eyes bloodshot and tears streaming down from them.

"Miss! Snap out of it!" But no matter how much Ladybug was shaking her, there was no response, as if she was alone.

"I should not have stolen that bag! Now I've lost my best friend!"

"I'm sorry! I shouldn't have cheated on him! I only did it because I was feeling alone and he was flirting with me!"

"Mom! I'm so sorry! I should have listened to you! I shouldn't have listened to my friends! Please forgive me!"

Ladybug was frantically looking around. More people were being hit by the beam. Most of them were crouched down, their heads under their hands. Others were pacing around, screaming to the world their deepest, darkest secrets.

"Wh-What's going on...?" Ladybug whispered, clearly disturbed by what was happening. She never encountered an Akuma like this, most of the time the Akuma would rampage around and then shout out their intentions and why they were turned. She then saw a teen collapsed on the ground crying about how she should not have cheated on a test which caused her her admission.

This one was different. For one thing, it still looked fairly humanoid. It's whole body was covered in some sort of white cloth. The most obvious thing that this was an Akuma was that it lacked eyes and it's brain was visible and only protected by some sort of energy field.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Brain Dead shouted again before trying to hit the fleeing Chat Noir.

"Sorry pal but a cat's got to play!" Chat said as he tried to stir the Akuma away from the unaffected civilians. When he saw one of the victims, he involuntarily shivered. Thinking what could have caused the victim to be akumatized like this. "I gotta ask, what caused you to turn into an Akuma?"

"RAARGH!"

"Good answer!" Chat said as he landed on the roof and once again cartwheeled away from a stray beam.

"Chat!" Chat turned to his side to see that Ladybug was now standing next to him. "Did you find where the Akuma is hiding?"

Chat turned back to the Akuma and saw that there was something on his wrist. "There! See that thing on it's wrist? I bet that's where the Akuma is hiding!"

"Good! We need to end this quickly! We don't know if that's the extent of its powers! Let's go, let's see if we can get that wristband!"

Ladybug and Chat Noir then jumped towards Brain Dead and fought it off to get the wristband.

"AAAAAGH! I SAID TO LEAVE. ME. ALONE!" It's shout was so great that both heroes were thrown back by the shock wave.

Ladybug hissed in pain as she skidded on her side a good distance while Chat Noir was slammed to a wall with a grunt.

"This isn't working... Lucky Charm! Wait... what is this?!" Ladybug was holding a giant canister.

Chat shook his head to clear the cobwebs and looked at the item in Ladybug's hand "Is that... Sleeping gas?"

Ladybug's eyes narrowed. "Sleeping gas?" Then it widened. "That's it! We can use this to stop the Akuma! Chat take this canister and get as close to him as possible!"

Chat nodded his head, grabbed the canister, and started running towards Brain Dead without getting hit by the beams.

"Hey Dead Weight! Take this one for size! Cataclysm!" Chat then used cataclysm on the canister before throwing it at Brain Dead.

Brain Dead tried to hit it with his beam, only for it to blow up in front of him. "NOOOO! DON'T DO THIS!"

Ladybug and Chat were standing nearby, waiting if the Akuma was going to do something drastic.

Brain Dead started coughing as his movement turned sluggish. "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!" He then fell on all fours, voice became raspy. "I-I just *cough* I just wanted to s-say s-s-s-orry to... to her... I-I just w-wa–w-wante–" He couldn't finish what he was about to say as he collapsed on the ground.

Chat didn't waste any time and took the wristband and broke it.

Ladybug caught the butterfly before she started to cleanse it. "No more evil-doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize! Gotcha! Bye-bye, little butterfly." She then released it before looking back at the broken canister and tossed it in the air. "Miraculous Ladybug!"

"M-My Lady!" She turned her head so fast she felt light-headed. Then saw what Chat meant and she paled dramatically, hands flying towards her mouth. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"I-I'm sorry..." The akumatized victim wheezed, body unmoving on the ground. "I-I just w-w-anted to f-f-finish s-s-some un *gasp* unfinished b-b-business..." The man looked at the two of them, tears streaming down his face. "I-I-I just w-w-wanted to *gasps* wanted to s-s-say s-s-s-orry to her..." With one final gasp, the man's eyes glazed over, staring lifelessly towards the two heroes.

"WHY?!" Ladybug openly cried as she and Chat Noir were now on top of a building, the form punching the wall. Her earrings beeping but she didn't care. Why? What was the point. Someone died because of her incompetence. She failed!

"Ladybug please! It's not your fault!" Chat exclaimed, he couldn't even imagine what her Lady was going through. His ring was also warning him that he was about to detransform but he didn't care. He didn't care if Ladybug found out his true identity.

"Not my fault...?" Ladybug turned to Chat with a glare. "I wasn't able save him!"

"We weren't able to save him!" Chat snapped back, forcing Ladybug to step back. Chat gritted his teeth as he grab hold of Ladybug's arm before pulling her to him.

"Chat! LET ME GO! I don't deserve to be comforted! I-I..." Ladybug was trying very hard to push herself but Chat's grip was just too strong. There was a flash before Ladybug was then replaced with Marinette. She didn't even care by this point. "Ch-Chat p-p-please... I don't deserve your pity..." She then started crying, holding on to him like a lifeline.

There was another flash as Chat Noir was then replaced with Adrien. He wasn't looking down at her, trying to respect her privacy until she calmed down. He then guided her so that instead of standing, she was now sitting on the ground, her head resting on his shoulders.

"Shh... It's ok... It's ok..." Adrien soothed as he started running his hands through Ladybug's hair, eyes closed.

"H-He'll pay..." Marinette whispered harshly, her grip on Adrien tightened. "He had no right..."

Adrien could only nod, tears on eyes already forming. He didn't like this. He didn't want to see the love of his life this broken. What he wanted at that moment was to turn back in time to prevent the whole thing from happening just so that Ladybug wouldn't react like this.

But he knew that that wasn't possible so he decided to do the next best thing. He pulled back a bit, opened his eyes, and was now eye-to-eye with none other than Marinette Dupain-Cheng, his classmate, the girl who would stutter when talking to him, the girl who he thought hated him, the love of his life.

Marinette's eyes widened a bit in recognition. "A-Adr–"

She was cut off when Adrien kisssed her.

Sooo? How did I do?
