Well that Phase 4 announcement sure was something. My biggest question of the many I have about each announced project, is the Eternals. Now we know they're Thanos' people, Angelina Jolie is even playing his cousin, and in Infinity War he said they all died, that his planet went extinct. Now is he lying then to Strange, is the movie set way before the majority of the MCU or did they all go into hiding from Thanos and he genuinely believed he was alone? Anyway, on with the story.
"Spider-Man's name is Peter Parker!" The video of Mysterio called out, a last sickening taunt from the man who knew Peter had beaten him, and was determined to bring him down with him.
"What the fuck?!" Peter asked aloud, drawing attention from several on the street below, who pointed at him and gawked, some whispering to one another, before eventually somebody shouted.
"There he is! Someone grab him!"
"How?" Another asked. "He's on top of the street light!"
"Run, Spider-Man!" A new voice called, looking down he saw MJ being swallowed up by the crowd, using his webs, he began to swing away from the street, his mind racing.

"Peter Parker is Spider-Man?" Betty Brant asked as she looked at her phone, the news blowing up all around the social circles of Midtown High.
"Penis is Spider-Man? No, it has to be a fake video." Flash cried as he looked at the news himself at home. Shaking his head, he turned back to his phone. Maybe a livestream was needed, to tell his Flash Mob that the video was clearly a fake?
"Peter..." Ned said softly, seeing what had happened. How did this happen? What was Peter going to do now?
"Peter? What?" Mr Harrington asked as he looked at the news on his phone. How could his student be Spider-Man? In fact, where was Peter when that whole attack on London happened? Wasn't he with family in Berlin?
"I knew there was something going on with him." Brad growled as he looked at the television. "Now everyone will see I was right, but God, his shady acting was to try kill thousands of people? They need to bring him in so he can face justice for the attempted massacre."
"Mrs Stark?" An aide called as Pepper looked up from her desk.
"What's the matter?" Pepper asked.
"I think you should see this." She said nervously, switching on the television and showing Pepper the news report and the video on the Daily Bugle.
"Call Happy. Get him to contact me directly. I need to pull up all of the files and footage of the Stark Defence network and the E.D.I.T.H protocol." Pepper said, dismissing her aide and getting to work. She was highly sceptical, this was Peter, after all. She knew he'd never do anything like this. Something else had to be at work here, or someone else. This Mysterio guy, who was he? How had he gotten control of the glasses? There was something familiar about all of this, somehow.

Peter swung through the trees, looking around, he saw the coast was clear and dropped onto the apartment roof, scurrying down the wall and dragging himself into his bedroom.
"May!" Peter called. "May, are you here?"
"Peter? I just saw the television, are you ok? What's happened? What was all of that?" May asked, running into his room.
"He tricked me again, he recorded it and edited it to frame me for his crimes." Peter told her. "I don't know how, but with the news reporting it, everyone will believe I'm some criminal trying to fill Tony's shoes with fear, to take power with his tech."
"I'm sure not everyone will think that at all." May told him. "I don't believe that for a second, your friends won't, Happy won't, I doubt Fury will either, or anybody who knows you."
"But most people will!" Peter cried. "I won't be able to be the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man anymore if everyone in the neighbourhood wants to arrest me or worse!"
"We'll deal with that bridge when it comes to it. Now, there hasn't been any reporters or police, yet, but I think we both know that'll change before too long, so what are we going to do?" May asked.
"We need to get out of here. We need to go hide for a bit, let it all die down." Peter told her.
"I'll call Happy. Get some help." May assured him, leaving to grab her phone.
Peter walked around his room, grabbing all the things he believed he would need. His backpack, his Iron Spider suit, a change of clothes. Heading out of the room, he saw May, bag in hand, pacing at the door.
"Happy says he'll be here in a few minutes. Are you ready to go, Peter?"
"Yeah, I just, I don't know what we're going to do, May." Peter said, tearing up a little. "If Mr Stark was still here, he'd know what to do."
"What did Happy say to you? You're not Tony Stark, nobody ever could be. Don't think about what Tony Stark would do, think of what you, Peter Parker, want to do."
Peter mulled it over for a moment, not replying to May as he thought over what he could do, what he could say.
"I'm going to clear my name." Peter said finally. "I'll find out how Beck faked it, I'll prove he was the mastermind all along, and if I can, I'll even try prove I'm not Spider-Man, I can't risk my friends being in danger."
There was a knock on the door, with both of them looking at it in shock, Peter getting his web shooters ready, until they heard a familiar voice on the other end.
"Hey guys, ready to go?"
"Be out in a second, Happy!" Peter called to him.
"Ready to go?" May asked Peter, who nodded.
"For now, yeah, we best hide."
/
"So, where are we going, Happy?" Peter asked, keeping his head low as Happy drove away from his apartment. As they turned the corner, he saw a couple of police cars with sirens flashing pass him by, with a news van behind it.
"Guess they caught on." Happy muttered as he drove past. "Don't worry, Peter. I know where I'm going, you'll both be fine."
"Where are we going, Happy?" Peter asked again.
"Safe house. Don't worry, it's somewhere you know." Happy said, pulling onto the highway and heading upstate.
"Are we heading to Avengers HQ?" Peter asked.
"Not at the minute, you may end up there, I'm not sure, but not right now. At the moment, we're off to visit some old friends." Happy told him, not saying anything else and letting Peter sink back into his seat, wondering what was coming next. Happy wouldn't sell him out, he knew that, but what was he up to?

"What are we going to do, MJ?" Ned asked as he met up with her.
"I don't know, what can we do? Beck played everyone and now everyone thinks Peter is the bad guy."
"Well, not everyone."
"Yeah, but most people around here believe he's a villain. The only ones who don't are those who think Peter can't possibly be Spider-Man like Flash, or those with half a brain, and that isn't many." MJ told him.
"We need to think of a plan, a way to help him."
"I don't know how though, I mean,it's in the public now, there's not much we can do."
"What about being innocent until proven guilty? Surely we can sue the media who report that he's a bad guy or something?" Ned asked.
"That's...not a bad idea, actually. There may be a way to do that. I'm not too sure though. We'll look into it." MJ told him. "It's the least we can do to help."
"What have you got in mind?" Ned asked her.
"It's a long shot, but there's this lawyer I've heard of, takes unwinnable cases and wins them. I think if we can hire him, set him against the press, at least that's one angle down. If we can even stop them reporting on Peter at all, eventually it'll leave the public eye, and I know there will be others out there working on the government side of things. We just need to see if this lawyer will take our case."
