"Whispers and confessions"
A room enlightened by the moonlight, a mild breeze fulfilling the air with salty air, the sound of the waves wrapping around a pair of lovers, too lost into each other, enjoying their new intimacy. Whispers, moans and soft laughter accompanying the sound of the waves. Then, silence. A silence filled with kind words, love, hopes and promises for the future.
'Jane', whispered the sleepy voice of Teresa Lisbon, who laid in the bed covered barely by silk sheets.
Patrick Jane looked at her, caressing her bare back in reverence, astonished at the sight of her.
'Yes?, he asked her softly as she turned her head to look at him. Her dark hair disheveled, her drowsy emerald eyes looking at him curiously. He caressed her ivory cheeks encouraging her to speak.
'How did you …. When did you decided to come for me?', she asked him.
He leant to kiss her softly before answering, savouring the kiss as if she was water in the dessert, he was thirsty for her love, her kisses and caresses.
'I… I was listening to this man, the lawyer, you know who', he whispered looking at her and petting her hair', And he was talking about how he lost the best thing that has ever happened to him… how he let his fears won.. and I saw myself reflected in his words. I was letting you go, I was letting the best thing that has ever… ', he remarked the word and moved his finger to wipe away a tear falling from her eyes, ' ever happened to me. And I knew it then. I couldn't do it. I had to go and at least, let you know. You deserved to know how much I love you, even if you ended up going way'
She closed her eyes trying to contain her tears and he moved to be on top of her, his naked body covering hers, just the silk sheets separating them. He leant to her face, kissing her tears away and tracing her face with his fingers.
'You're that to me too', she confessed so softly he almost didn't hear her.
'You mean that? even if I'm a pain in your ass the whole time?', he asked her making her laugh hard.
'I mean it, Jane. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me', she confessed, ' and right now, this is… the happiest I've ever been in my whole life'
He closed his eyes at her confessions, smiling widely, trying to believe this was real, not a dream.
'I can't believe Abbot let you his car', she murmured in disbelief.
'I turned the siren on, just so you know', he confessed. She looked at him agape and then she laughed harder, to what he responded by tickling her until she couldn't even breath.
Soon after that, the pair in love started to make love, slowly and unhurriedly, whispering sweet nothings to each other, promising eternal love to each other, not caring about what the future may bring them, contempt right now with the present.
