"Such white walls!"

"For a ghost, you're pretty lively, aren't you?" Naruto asked with a groan when Erza shouted out in excitement at the hospital walls again. He was in the hospital, since Pervy Sage had come to the bottom of the canyon and brought him back out of it.

...

"There is seriously a ghost there?"

Tall, massive, a bear of a man was the perverted sage Jiraiya. An older man with long, spiky white hair and black eyes that had red tear lines going down each cheek. In classic kabuki clothing, the man gave off quite a goofy vibe in general, even more so as he looked around the room for any sign that there was a ghost there.

"I mean, since you've got part of my body, turns out I'm bonded to you now... and since you're alive... I get to experience life through you!" Erza was able to leave the canyon now. Less than just able, but since she was bonded to Naruto she had to go wherever he went if she didn't want go back to the lonely hell that was that canyon. As such, everything she saw and everything Naruto experienced, she too experienced. "Quite, use the room service and order cake!" Erza was practically salivating.

Naruto deadpanned.

"This is a hospital... there isn't cake room service... yeah, there is a ghost in the room. She's kind of stupid though." Naruto stated to Pervy Sage with a huff. Erza had the decency to blush when she realized that, yes, this was a hospital.

"I knew that."

"You trust her?" Jiraiya asked with a raised eyebrow around the room. "According to you, she's the reason you messed up the Summoning Jutsu... did you manage to use that chakra?" Jiraiya asked with a serious stare at Naruto.

"That chakra?" Erza repeated with a look at Naruto, a raised eyebrow.

"When I was born, a super powerful demon fox appeared, and it was sealed into me by the Fourth Hokage... the leader of our village. I'm able to access it's power... and yes, I was able to use it." Naruto explained his situation to Erza with a slightly subdued tone, not exactly too comfortable with it. Still, since she was bound to him she was going to get an explanation eventually anyway.

Erza nodded her head.

"A good leader, but that must have left you with a very difficult childhood. Human nature feels the need to push blame." Erza could tell that he must have faced a lot of emotional abuse to his life. People would no doubt look at him like he was the fox itself, and the fact he could access the fox's power meant that people would fear the fox escaping from him as well. "Not forgivable, but understandable." Erza wouldn't forgive the people for that, but she could understand their motivations at least.

Jiraiya nodded in approval.

"Well, getting you to willingly use that chakra is important. Erza Scarlet, since we retrieved your body from that barrier, what do you think we should do with it?" Jiraiya asked the ghost in the room. "Naruto, be my dead translator." Jiraiya told Naruto with a deadpan.

"Just cremate it, my magical power has transfered to Naruto through my hand. I can feel my magic flowing through him now, so that body serves nobody any purpose." Erza could feel everything about Naruto's body once her magic power finished transferring into him. It was still mostly focused on his hand and eye, where the magical power was strongest, but the power was creeping into the rest of him.

Naruto blinked.

"I can use magic now!?"

"That's cool, but what should we do with her body?" Jiraiya asked Naruto with a deadpan.

"Oh, she says just burn it." Naruto relayed the message to him, and he looked at Erza with expectant eyes. She nodded her head in approval of his message relay, before she floated down next to him on the hospital bed. She looked like she was sitting on the bed, even though she wasn't. "So you can teach me your magic?" Naruto asked her, and she nodded once more.

"I would be happy too, it's actually very simple the magic I use. I store away armor and weapons, and summon them to my body. These armors and weapons have different properties to them." Erza explained her magical abilities to Naruto. Her fighting magic was mostly, nearly completely, focused on summonining the armors and weapons she would need to face any particular opponent and gain an advantage.

Jiraiya looked between Naruto, and where Naruto was looking, where he guessed Erza was.

"Well, you've got 2 days to learn whatever magic she's going to teach you. Today and tomorrow, because the day after is the Chunin Exam's Third Round." Jiraiya knew how little time Naruto had, and what kind of student he was.

Erza blinked.

"Chunin Exams?"

"I'm a shinobi, and the Chunin exams lets Genin promote our ranks to Chunin. The Third Round is one giant, public tournament where everyone can see me fight. My first opponent is a bastard of a genius fighter, and I swore that I would defeat him to avenge this girl I know." Naruto explained with a tint of anger to his voice, and Erza took the information in with a nod of her head.

It was simple enough to understand.

"Seems romantic-"

"It's not romance, the bastard is her cousin and he tried to kill her." Naruto had his fist was shaking.

Erza crossed her arms with a deep frown.

"I see, it sounds like he deserves to go down for sure." Erza agreed with Naruto there, but at the same time she got the feeling that there was more to the story than just that. Such actions were unforgivable, to try and kill your family, but she also knew that for this to happen in a tournament with witnesses meant there was some type of deep grudge going on. "Hey, Wise Perv, can you enlighten us to the nature of our opponent?" Erza asked with a tilted head.

...

"Pervy Sage, Erza wants to know why Neji is the way he is, and if you know anything about it... wait, our opponent?" Naruto asked Erza with a slightly surprised glance at her.

She nodded simply.

"Yes, my soul is bound to you now. I feel what you feel, your pain is my pain, and your pleasure is my pleasure. I feel a lot of anger when you think about Neji, and you're nervous to fight him." Erza revealed that to him. Being bonded to him on a spiritual level was quite an intense thing, even more so when you considered the fact that his body contained parts of her body.

Naruto turned a little red in the face when his inner emotions were revealed in the open like that, and he looked at Jiraiya to see his reaction. He could only sigh in relief when Jiraiya didn't hear Erza, and Naruto remembered as well that only he could see and hear her.

Thankfully that was the case.

"Well, you're aware of the Main Branch and the Side Branch of the Hyuga family, correct? How the Side Branch are practically slaves to the Main Branch? It was several years ago, there was an attempted kidnapping incident between Kumo and Konoha-"

"I have/Erza doesn't know this stuff." Naruto interrupted Erza.

Jiraiya sighed.

"Kumogakure is the Shinobi village that is hidden in the mountains, aka the hidden cloud village. They attempted to kidnap your friend Hinata, but her father murdered the kidnapper. Kumo used that as a chance to demand his body for peace, no doubt to steal the Byakugan one way or another. Thankfully, Hinata's father had a twin brother, Neji's father, who offered himself up as a sacrifice, since the seal on his forehead-"

"Huh?" Naruto and Erza asked together this time.

"The Hyuga Side Branch has seals on their forehead, it allows them to be controlled by the Main branch, and destroys their Byakugan upon their death. Well, Neji's father was given to Kumo instead. The boy rightfully holds a grudge against the Main family, though it seems based in ignorance as well." Jiraiya spoke with a sigh of annoyance at it all. He could understand where the boy was coming from, but that didn't make the entire situation any less of a headache.

Erza looked down.

"Poor boy, losing his parents at a young age... you feel bad for him too, don't you?" Erza asked, and Naruto still ended up pounding his fist into his palm.

"Doesn't matter."

"Hmmm?" Jiraiya asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It doesn't matter what happened in the past, Hinata didn't chose to be a victim, so Neji should never have tried to kill her. She is still his family, and family protected each other. He didn't just try to kill Hinata, he mocked her, and belittled her. She showed a lot of guts and courage, trying to change her destiny... and he just spit on all of that and called her a failure... well I promised to take him down for her. I'm a failure too, so I'm the best person to show him just how far a failure can go." Naruto gained a fire in his belly, and Jiraiya looked stunned for a moment.

Naruto's words and surprising maturity on the topic of hate and revenge was both childish, but his true feelings on the matter weren't out of hatred either. It was clear that Naruto respected Neji's power, enough to call him a genius, but to believe himself a failure showed how Naruto understood his own power and despite that he wanted to change.

"I like you a lot Naruto, you and I are very much alike. Perverted Hermit, does this Byakugan have any weaknesses?"

"Does the Byakugan have any weaknesses?" Naruto asked for Erza, because while he had asked Jiraiya to train him, he never really asked for Jiraiya's advice on the matter.

Jiraiya sighed, and extended his hand.

...

"Uuuuuh, you suck!" Naruto shouted as he got his wallet from the table, and Jiraiya snatched it up and took a couple of bills from it. With his price for information taken, he grinned and looked down at Naruto.

He was mostly teasing the boy, but Naruto was asking for quite an important piece of info.

"The Byakugan has a couple of weaknesses, the first being while is can see in 360 degree vision around them... right here." Jiraiya turned around and showed a spot on his back, and he drew a circle near his neck. "Right here is a blind spot the Byakugan can't see. Sneak attacks with kunai and small weapons are deadly to the Byakugan from this angle. Also, for a Byakugan user to see underground, they need to actually focus. It's an All-Seeing eye, but the skill of the user is also taken into account. With your Shadow Clone jutsu skills and your Transformation Jutsu skills, you've got all you need to get the edge." Jiraiya explained to Naruto, and he stood up and counted the bills he had taken from Naruto.

This would get him some good booze.

"That's all you're going to say?" Naruto asked, since he didn't really know what to do with that information.

Neji was super skilled and serious, he would be hard to take down even with this information.

"Actually Naruto, this information is golden. Knowing your enemies weaknesses before the battle, and creating a counter to them is the best way to go about it. If anything, I believe we can take down Neji rather easily with this information alone. Still, the other opponents you will have will be trickier since I don't have any information on any of them... we'll have our work cut out for us." Erza explained with a smile. She could already think of several battle plans where she could take advantage of this information, and pass her plans onto Naruto even in the heat of battle.

Naruto frowned.

"I've only got 2 days... what can I do in that time?" Naruto frowned when he tried to think if he could even get information out of everyone in that time.

Erza thought about it hard.

"First, lets get some experience with you summoning an armor or a weapon from my inventory. We can focus on one or two weapons that can help handle a variety of opponents. I possess over 100 different armors, and over 200 weapons, so I'm sure we can think of something!" Erza had complete confidence in them. After all, he was practically her host at this point, and she refused to lose, which meant that she refused to simply sit back and let him lose either.

Naruto looked at her for a moment.

He grinned.

"Right!"
