This day was just like any other day to 15 year old Yuma Tsuakumo. He woke up late for school, got yelled at by Kari for waking up late, and racing Bronk to school. But he couldn't shake off his sadness of Astral not being there anymore. Sure it had been a month since they restored peace and order to Astral World with the help of his friends, but it saddened him that his best friend wouldn't be there by his side anymore.

As he was racing Bronk to school, which he hopelessly failed at doing so and falling face flat at the school's entrance. All of his friends that he had made the past year where there waiting for him. But as soon as he arrived on the ground, they started to laugh.

"Everyday Yuma. You are always late for school." His green haired friend scolded.

"Hey no worries. I got here before the first bell, so that's a plus." He replied back.

"You mean getting here on time or falling face flat." A voice said from behind Tori. Yuma look ahead and saw the water duelist and former Barion Emperor walked towards him. Behind him was his sister Rio and the rest of the Barions minus Vector. Who was probably somewhere pulling a prank on some poor student.

Caswell reached his hand down and pulled Yuma back up. "Thanks Caswell."

Yuma looked up and saw all of his friends happy, minus Trey. The youngest Arclight brother was looking down and he looked kinda of distant from everyone else. Yuma couldn't help but worry about him. "Hey Trey everything okay?"

Trey looked up when he heard Yuma calling his name. "Oh it's nothing to worry about Yuma. Just been feeling a bit down these days." The pink haired duelist replied.

"Hey I know what might cheer you up Trey, a duel." Yuma said excitedly. "We need something to cheer us both up and a duel seems like the perfect remedy. So what do you say?"

Trey smiled and was about to answer when Tori interrupted him. "Hate to break it to you Yuma, but you can't duel now. Class is about to start soon."

"Okay than. Trey I guess we will have a duel after school." Yuma raised his left hand in the air and cheered. But the excitement was cut short as the third tardy bell rang. Realizing that they were beyond late, Yuma and his friends raced to their first class of the day.

The day seemed to drag on to Yuma and everyone couldn't help but agree. They had a pop quiz in history class and in math class they were learning a new formula that was hard to understand. Even the bright Caswell and Trey had difficulty in mastering it. Later on they had a swimming contest in physical education and as usual Yuma tried to hold his breath underwater but failed miserably.

Soon it was finally lunchtime. They all raced to the roof where they normally ate if it was sunny. Today was one of those day and Yuma and his friends all spread out to eat. The girls had brought a blanket to lay on and started to chat among themselves. While Mizar, Dumon, Alito, and Girag opted to eat by themselves. They were still getting used to living as humans and not as Barion Emperors. Shark as always ate by himself at the very top of the roof, watching over everyone.

Yuma's mouth was watering and his eyes were glowing as he opened his lunchbox to see what his grandmother had packed for him that day. He reached down and started to gobble it all down. In a few minutes what was once a packed lunch, turned into a empty plastic box.

He took a deep breath and sat back down on the floor with his friends. "Boy that sure was delicious." Yuma announced as rubbed his stomach. "Grandma definitely makes the best food."

"Are you sure you even tasted it." Flip pointed out. "I'm mean by the way you ate it I would be surprised if you even tasted any of it."

Yuma quickly stood up. "Hey I did so taste it. It was just so good that I had to eat it all at once." He defended. Everyone around him laughed and Yuma didn't know why.

Tori shook her head and scolded him. "Yuma you are supposed to eat your food slowly or else you might choke." Beside her Cathy nodded. "She's right Yuma. Even my cats know that they are supposed to chew before they swallow."

Yuma just grumbled and sat near the ledge. That's when he noticed that Trey wasn't with them. "Hey has anyone seen Trey." He shouted.

They all stopped what they were doing and tried to think where they last spotted him. "I saw him at the end of science." Alito told Yuma. "He got a call from his brother and said he had to take it right away."

"Oh okay. Thanks for telling me Alito." Alito nodded and went back to the conversation he was having with the other former Barion Emperors.

Yuma stared out and looked around for any signs of Trey. He couldn't help but sigh. Even though he was enjoying his life without the bad guys chasing him, he was kinda bored on how there was no adventure or fun for him anymore.

He looked to his side where Astral would usually be making observations or annalyzing the last duel they had together and the steps they could take to make them even stronger. He would always advise Yuma to utilize his spare time and look over any tactics that he could use later on in his duels.

"Astral." Yuma whispered as he clutched his Emperor Key. He was really missing friend, but he didn't want to let the others know that he was missing his dear friend greatly. At first he was always annoyed that the blue transparent being was always floating near him and making remarks about him and his dueling. Now he kinda wished he was back. Astral may have been annoying at some points, but he was always a good listener and would always give good advice.

The lunch bell rang and everyone scrambled to get their area cleaned up. They were finished in a matter of seconds and headed down the stairs to their afternoon classes. Yuma had English class with Alito, Bronk, Cathy, and Girag. While everyone else had other classes that they took at Heartland Academy. Near the end of the school day there was a special announcement by the headmaster of the school.

"Attention students, I know how hard each and on of you are working this week with all the tests and quizzes your teachers have been giving you. After talking to the teachers I have decided to hold a special duel tournament at our school. The tournament would be a special treat for you all since you all have been working hard. The tournament will take place in a week and sign ups will begin tomorrow morning. More details will be disclosed soon as the committee starts things up. Good luck to whoever participates and have a wonderful rest of your day."

Yuma jumped at the news and yelled, "Oh yeah I'm definitely competing!" He ran across the hall, jumping for joy.

"Geez Yuma who would of guessed." Flip said quietly, but just loud enough for everyone to hear except Yuma. They silently laughed and watched as he ran out of the school building, beefed stopping abruptly.

"What's wrong Yuma?" Bronk asked. "Why did you suddenly stop?"

The gang ran outside and saw Trey walking along with Quinton and Quattro.

"Quinton, Quattro what brings you guys here to the academy?" Shark asked.

"We were just here to pick up Trey that's all." Quinton answered. He held onto Trey's shoulder and walked him to their car.

"Hey Trey, is everything okay?" Yuma yelled to his friend.

Trey stopped and turned around. "Don't worry Yuma is nothing to worry about." The two brothers then continued to walk towards the car.

Quattro stayed back and saw the concerned faces his friends had. "Don't worry about that pipsqueak over there. He has been just feeling unwell that's all. Quinton wanted to come and pick up Trey just in case that something might bad happen." He explained. It calmed them down and they watched as the car drove away and into the heart of Heartland City.

"Do you think he is really okay?" Yuma asked Tori as they were walking home.

"I'm sure that if Trey was not okay he would have told us." Tori answered. "Besides if something is really wrong with Trey, it's not our business to butt in."

Yuma sighed and looked at the river they were walking next to. "I guess you are right Tori."

They continued their walk home as they walked in silence.

Heartland City had changed a lot in the last few months that Trey could remember. He watched as the buildings he could remember last year being rebuilt. The sun had already set so the workers had stopped for the day. The lights were already on in some of the residential buildings and he couldn't wait until he got to his bedroom and sleep for the rest of the night. He looked at his watch as could see that it was past midnight. He looked at his right and saw Quattro fast asleep, while Quinton stayed awake driving the car.

He had gotten a call from his brothers earlier that day and wondered why. Quinton told him that they were picking him up from school, but never specified why. During the lunch hour, he didn't feel all that hungry, so he never went up to the roof with everybody else. Instead he headed to the library to do some studying. After his brothers picked him up, they drove him to Heartland Tower. They entered the building and went to one the buildings many rooms.

As they waited Trey had looked around and saw many medical supplies in front of him. He had sighed deeply and hoped that it wasn't what it had seemed to be. Soon a man entered with Kite on his heels. Orbital 7 was right be behind him holding some papers.

"Quinton." Kite greeted. "Don't worry about your brother. He's the best in Heartland. Trey will be fine."

"Its nice to meet you Trey, I'm Dr. Rece and today we will be doing a examination on you today." The doctor announced.

Trey looked around and saw his brothers leaving the room with Kite. "Quinton, why didn't you tell me?" He asked.

"Quinton sighed before giving an answer to his youngest brother. "Because we all know how much you hate going to the doctor's office and also because you haven't gotten a check up in so long." He then shut the door behind him, but not before Quattro snickered and shouted good luck at Trey.

His brothers knew how much he hated going to the doctor's office. Ever since he was a little boy he hated going there and he still hated going there.

After a seemingly long time he was done. The results were handed to Quinton and he decided that they would look at them when they arrived home. So that's where they were headed. They soon arrived at the hotel they were staying at and Trey had the pleasure of waking Quattro up. It was never easy waking the Gimmick Puppet duelist up, but somehow he managed to without getting slapped.

He got to his room and quickly showered before changing into his pajamas. He wanted to see his results but sleep quickly overtook him. He laid on his bed and he could feel his eyelids growing heavier by the minute.

While the two younger brothers slept, Quinton entered their father's office. Vetrex slowly turned around from his chair to face his eldest son, who had arrived carrying Trey's medical report.

"Ah Quinton I see that you came back." Vetrix said. "So how does it look."

Quinton looked down and deeply sighed. "It's just as we suspected. Trey's body is still weak as it was before. I think it's due to the lack of care he faced when he was in the orphanage."

"I see. So Trey's body is getting weak and what can we do about it?" Vertex asked.

"The doctor said there is not much we can do at this point, but what we can do it watch over Trey and make sure he doesn't do stuff that will exhaust his body greatly. He also said that it might have been due to the crest that his body is over exhausted." Quinton explained as Vetrix listened carefully. "Since Trey was using the crest at a young age, his body didn't have enough time to adjust to his new power."

Vertex turned back around and told Quinton. "I guess I'm the one to blame. If I hadn't pulled you guys into my plan for revenge none of this would ever happen. You are dismissed Quinton. Make sure you also get some rest."

With that Quinton left his fathers room and went to his own worrying about his little brother.

The next morning while the brothers were eating togther, Quinton decided to make an announcement. "Trey, Father and I reviewed the report the doctor gave us and there is bad new." After he said that he got both of his brothers attention.

"What is it?" Trey asked.

Quinton took a deep breath before answering his question. "It's your body Trey. It's not in the best condition now since you used the power of the crest at a young age. Father and I have decided to not let you do stuff that will exhaust your body quickly."

Trey quickly stood up at the sound of his brother's words. "I guess I should have seen it coming." He told them softly.

"What do you mean Trey?" Quattro asked.

"It's just that when I first got the crest I could feel weaker, but I thought my body was just adjusting the new power so I never really took notice of it." He explained. "But when we started collecting numbers I could feel it becoming weaker and when I dueled using my number cards I could feel it coming back."

"Trey why didn't you tell anyone!" Quattro yelled. It wasn't like him to be worrying about someone, but Trey was his brother and he cared a lot.

"I'm sorry. I guess with our mission of collecting numbers and father's plans for revenge, I didn't want to disturb anyone with it." He apologized. He felt bad for making his brothers worry about him.

"It's okay Trey. We should have noticed as your brothers." Quinton reassured.

"I have just one question?" Trey asked.

"What is it?"

"Am I still able to duel?"

"Of course. Just try to not over due it." Quinton told him.

Trey felt reassured. He had his brothers with him and that was what mattered to him the most.
