Bright Moon is quite a castle. I looked at the map of Etheria, and I saw Bright Moon. Next to it is the Whispering Woods where Hank and I rest a bit. The Fright Zone is next to the forest. So the woods is between those two. I wonder how did the rebels keep those invaders away.
That is a question for another day.
"Halt! Who goes there?!" a Bright Moon guard demanded as she points a spear towards us.
"Relax, we come here in peace," Hank tries to convince her to let us inside the castle. "We have some information for a woman named Adora."
Just then, a blonde-haired teenage girl went to the door to see us. I analyzed her, and I found out she's Adora. Not only she defected from the Horde, but also she is a woman warrior known as She-Ra.
"Let them in," she told the guard.
Good thing there's an interrogation room in this castle because that's where I'll be interrogating her. Hank will handle Scorpia and Entrapta.
"Before we get started, I'll introduce myself. My name is Connor, and I'm an android from a planet called Earth," I began my introduction.
"Android? What's that?" Adora asked. It seems she doesn't know about the word.
"It's also what you call a robot. Do you know that word?"
"I know what robot means, but I didn't know that there are robots who can take on human appearances."
"Perhaps not on your planet," time to get straight into the matter. "Now onto the matter. My partner, Hank Anderson, and I are hired by Queen C'yra from the kingdom of Half Moon to look for her child," I show Adora the photo of the child. "This is the last photo of her taken before she was kidnapped by the Horde. Do you know her?"
"She's a kitten with wild brown hair," Adora examines the photo. "One blue eye, and one yellow eye..." she then gasps as she appears to have recognized that cat person. "Oh no..."
"So you know her, and she's grown up like you," I said my observation.
"Catra..." she said with horror on her face.
"Catra, huh? Is that her name now? You should know one thing, Adora. Catra is not her real name," I stated this fact while putting my hands together at mouth level.
"What are you talking about?"
"She only got that name after the Horde took her away from her family. Her real name is C'yra of D'riluth III, the same name as her birth mother."
"If her mother is the Queen of Half Moon, then she must be the..."
"Princess. Princess of Half Moon. The heir to the throne."
"I see..."
"Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about her?"
"No, go ahead."
Now, for the first question...
"How much do you know her?" I asked.
"Catra... she was my best friend. We used to be close before I left the Horde, and also... the portal," Adora replied in a voice that sounded like she looks sad.
The portal... That is something I have to ask her about, but my next question will be different.
"Can you tell me anything about Queen C'yra's child prior to her disappearance?" I asked next.
"How should I know? I barely seen her after the portal incident," was her reply.
"What was she like when you first met her?"
"Is this necessary?" she asked as if being annoyed that her childhood is part of the interrogation.
"Yes, it is," I replied bluntly.
"She was alone. She had no one to talk to but me," she replied honestly. Her answer raises the meter of C'yra having a chance of redemption in about fifteen percent.
"I know it's rude to look into her diary, but it's necessary to understand her character. I'm sure you understand that, right?" I asked her while holding up C'yra's diary. "I saw writings that she was obsessed with beating you. Why is that?"
"Because I was raised better by Shadow Weaver, who always treated her like dirt," was her reply. I think that raised the meter to twenty.
"What is it about the portal incident about her?" I asked the question that brought me curiosity.
"Catra... she activated the portal, knowing it will kill all of us just so she could win against me for once. Once it has been resolved, I lost sympathy for her."
That reply of hers made me realize why there's distance between them. It seems it's going to take a while for Adora to recover from that.
Now for the question that will spark some curiosity in her.
"Hank and I saw something in the surveillance cameras from the Fright Zone that C'yra, or Catra, was fighting Hordak. Any idea why that happened?" was the question I asked her about.
"Catra fighting Hordak? No, I don't why that happened," Adora responded truthfully on that. Of course she doesn't know, too busy to stop Light Hope's plan on using Etheria as a weapon.
"Did someone from here entered the Fright Zone while you were busy stopping Light Hope from using this planet as a weapon? Maybe someone who was not around here?"
"It's impossible. There's no one else from here entered the..." she then realized what my question meant. "Well, there is someone who went there, and that is Double Trouble, if I'm not mistaken."
"Double Trouble?"
"The shapeshifting lizard who once worked for the Horde."
I see... So it was that same lizard who broke C'yra through that speech of theirs.
"Can you tell me what you know?" I asked in a serious tone.
"How am I supposed to know what happened to Catra? I haven't seen her much after the portal incident, and now that she is gone with Glimmer..." Adora ranted and it looks like she started sobbing with tears coming out of her eyes. "Oh god..."
I stood up from my chair and hugged her. Perhaps a best way to help her cheer up.
"Don't worry, Adora. Everything will be alright," I reassured her. "You have to be brave and strong. I know this is all a shock to you, but you're the only one who can help me get through C'yra since you're the one who was closest to her. Closest than Scorpia and Entrapta, that is. Please, I need your help."
Next thing I knew is that she hugs me in return which is a sign that she is feeling better. After a second, we let go of the hug and I went back to my chair.
"I haven't seen Catra much ever since the portal incident. I was trying to stop Light Hope from using Etheria as a superweapon because it would cause the planet to explode. I had no choice but to destroy the Sword of Protection, my sword which allowed me to turn into She-Ra," Adora gave me the full details of what happened.
"What happened next?" I asked additionally.
"Bow told me that Glimmer was taken away by the people flying those spaceships," she additionally said. "Since you're investigating Catra, that must mean that she's also..."
"Yeah..."
Now for the last question.
"Did you happen to notice anything strange about C'yra the last time you met her?" I asked.
"No. Wait, yes. I remember something," Adora shifts her opinion. "The last time I saw her, I told her that I won't let her hurt anyone else ever again. When I mentioned about the portal, she suddenly hissed. I knew she would get angry about it, but I noticed that she had some self loathing and guilt going on within her. God, if I've only known..."
"Alright, that's all the questions I have for now. There's just one more thing I must know."
She looked at me, ready for this question.
"Now that you know your former best friend is the Princess of Half Moon, do you think there's a chance for her to be redeemed?" I asked.
"Do you trust her mother?" Adora asked with caution.
"Yes, I do. I analyzed her when she first came to Hank's house asking for our help in finding her child."
"Yes... Yes, I believe Catra can be redeemed."
That raised the meter to thirty percent.
"Also, do you love her? More than as a best friend?" I asked. Adora just blushes from hearing the question. Even if she won't say it, the look on her face determines it, and that raised the meter again to fifty percent. "Thank you for your time."
I took my leave from the interrogation room where Hank is waiting for me.
"So, how did you go with Adora?" Hank asked.
"She's cooperating, always speaking the truth. How did it go with Scorpia and Entrapta?" I asked about the two people he interrogated.
"They're cooperative like Adora. In fact, they told me some useful information such as the portal incident happened was because our cat princess was so desperate to win against Adora for once that she turned against them. They gave up on her, but because I told them that she is the lost princess to the cat kingdom, they regained hope for her," he told me what happened with those two. What they said raised the meter to sixty percent.
"It looks the mystery of C'yra's location has been solved. She's been abducted by the same people who took its current Queen of Bright Moon, Glimmer."
"The only question is, how do you get her from them?"
That's one thing we'll have to wait for.
