"Tessa"

'Your coffee, Tessa', he whispered to her one morning in the airstream, and he was left speechless when he saw her expression.

'No one has ever called me that', she murmured shyly, 'I like it'

He sat next to her, looking in awe how the morning light made her eyes shone, her eyes looked as emerald. He remembered that time he gave her that necklace and he smiled at the memory.

'It makes me feel... unique', she said, 'I guess you've always made me feel that way'

He caressed her blushing cheeks, and he kissed her temple. He breathed her smell, he was enamored with her hair these last days. She smelt different, he didn't know why. Although he's always adored her beautiful hair.

'You're the only one I see', he said,'In a room full of people, you're the only one I can see... I can't remember a time when that wasn't true... '

He's always trying to show her how much he's loved her and for long. Not just since he came back from that island... he's loved her for so, so long, he can't even remember a time when he didn't love her.

She smiled at him and kissed him, deeply.

...

6 months later.

He's realised a few months ago that calling her Tessa could make her feel more calm. But he hasn't seen her so nervous in... who knows who long. She was in the middle of a breakdown.

'I can't do it', she said between tears, 'I'm not capable, Jane! I'm gonna be such a disaster', she muttered between her cries.

He wasn't sure... what to do.

His (very) pregnant wife was crying because she couldn't, she didn't know how to build that stupid crib they've decided to buy at Ikea. Why the hell did he though it was a good idea? They could have bought a built crib.

'Love...'

'Don't call me that! I'm such a mess! A horrible wife and I'm gonna be a horrible mother...', she said covering her face with her hands.

Well, hell.

No.

'Tessa, Tessa', he whispered kneeling in front of her, 'Have you forgotten all of a sudden that you raised three brothers?

She looked at him with her glassy and breathtaking eyes.

'God, Teresa... Tessa, you're so perfect and so amazing it takes my breath away', he said with so much devotion. He caressed her belly, he knew it was just a matter of weeks that their baby would arrive. And he still couldn't believe his luck.

He smiled at her again trying to imply how much he loves her, how much he admires her, how much he adores her.

...

2 years later.

He woke up with the early light of the day. It was almost June, so the light was so bright, so full of life, hope and dreams. He breathed and got up, looking for his wife. He knew Lisbon loved waking up early these days, she didn't have to work so she could enjoy the quiet mornings of the last months of spring.

He looked through the window and heard their child laughing out loud and his wife laughing along. Their laughs.

God, what a treasure life have decided to give him.

He went outside and he was strucked by a sight he would remember his whole life.

His wife was standing with her hand in her 8 months- pregnant- belly, smiling and laughing, with her long curly hair down and looking as an angel, glowing with the early morning light. Around her, their daughter dancing and laughing as if there was no evil in the world, as if they were living in their own perfect world.

It's been like that since the day he married Lisbon.

He moved to them, and kneeled down to catch his daughter who came running to him the moment she saw him. He caught her in his arms and swinged her. He knew she loved it. And watching her angelic face laughing in that way made his heart exploded of love.

Her beautiful eyes, so green and so pure like the eyes of her mother. Her hair, blonde and curly, like his own hair.

She was a perfect combination of the both of them.

Lisbon came to them, walking slowly. He knew she was tired, she would give birth to their son in a couple days for sure. He extended his arm and she took his hand. He caught their daughter safe in his left arm and he brought Lisbon's hand to his mouth with his right arm.

He kissed gently her hand and she sighed at the feeling. They looked completely enamored with each other.

'Jane', she whispered to him, 'Have you slept well... husband?, she asked him smiling knowing how much he does love her calling him her husband. He adores her so much.

'As always, Tessa', he said and she closed her eyes in delightment.

He could tell in that right moment, holding his wife hand and their beautiful daughter... that if heaven ever existed, it was this.

Right now, in their cabin, the four of them.

His perfect family.
