New Season, New User, New Problems

Written by JaJaLoo

Plot: A new user moves into the house, so the guys throw him a welcome party. Meanwhile, Berry and Nemo argue about Charcoal's use to the company.

Welcome to Season Two of C&H Central. Really looking forward to this season. Sit back and enjoy.

The users at 2004 Wentz Avenue could not catch a break.

The documentary series that aired on FOX after Patrick revealed the camera crew became a hit worldwide.

And every time they went out into public, they were surrounded by crazy fans.

Jackson was the only one not affected by this, because every time he went into his favorite record store, the cashier gave him any record in the store for free.

Nicholas had strongly urged everyone to stay inside until the whole fame thing blew over.

But there was one more side effect about a year later.

This is that story.

The bus pulled up to the Burger King where Jackson resided most of the time.

Off the bus came Mabel.

Mabel was nineteen years old, who had dropped out of college to head to Milwaukee.

There was only one reason.

"Alright. I'm here." he said. "Excuse me!"

He got the attention of a nearby passerby.

"Could you tell me where Wentz Avenue is?"

"Don't you have Google Maps?" the passerby asked, walking away.

Mabel looked disgusted.

"How rude." he grumbled, before he pulled out his phone and typed in his destination.

Meanwhile, at 2004 Wentz Avenue, everyone was bored out of their minds.

They had finished their jobs for the day, and decided to rewatch the first season of their show.

Currently, they were on Meet Charcoal.

"Ah, Charcoal." Nicholas said. "That reminds me, I have to feed him."

And Nicholas walked over to Charcoal's dog dish.

"I noticed Charcoal had no appearances since he was introduced." Nemo said.

"Yeah, good point." Jackson said.

Nicholas came back, and continued to watch the episode.

"I am so bored." Patrick said.

"Aren't we all?" Will asked.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

Everyone jumped.

"Who's that?" Wildcat asked.

"I'll go check." Jackson said, running to his room.

Inside, he used his telescope to see who rang the doorbell.

Outside was Mabel.

Naturally, Jackson didn't take kindly to strangers.

He ran back downstairs.

"Who is it?" Berry asked.

"A stranger." Jackson replied.

Nicholas stood up.

"OK, that means one thing. Either we have a new person wanting to work here, or Robert Stainton escaped from jail again."

"God, I hope it's the former." Nemo said.

"Only one way to find out." Will added.

The users turned off the TV and walked to the front door.

Nicholas slowly reached for the doorknob and turned it.

The door opened, and standing there was Mabel.

"Is this 2004 Wentz Avenue?" he asked.

"Yeah, what do you want?" Nicholas asked.

"My name is Mabel. And I want to work for you."

Everyone stared at him with wide eyes.

"Please stay here." Nicholas said, slamming the door.

"A NEW USER?" Will shouted.

"This can't be." Nicholas said.

"Either this is a user who deliberately wants to work with us, or it's a fan who's trying to sneak in." Wildcat said.

"Again, hoping it's not Robert." Nemo added.

"How about we just interview him, and see if he wants to join us?" Jackson asked.

"Good idea, Jackson. Let him in." Nicholas said.

Patrick opened the door.

"We would like to have a job interview with you." he said. "Would you like a hot chocolate while you wait?"

"Sure." Mabel said, walking into the house.

It was a while later when Mabel faced both Nicholas and Jackson at a desk.

"OK, first off, name?" Nicholas asked.

"Mabel. Mabel Palmer." Mabel replied.

"How old are you?" Jackson asked.

"I am nineteen years old."

"OK, do you have an appreciation for good music a la Sum 41, No Doubt, Black Sabbath and others?" Jackson asked.

"I'm sorry, but what kind of question is this?" Mabel asked.

"He asks this to every new hire." Nicholas answered.

"Does it have to be those three bands?"

"No, any artist, as long as you can stand the rock genre." Jackson said.

"Well, I'm a fan of AC/DC." Mabel said.

"OK, you're hired." Jackson said, shaking his hand.

"Now, hold on." Nicholas said. "Are you a wanted criminal? We don't hire any thieves."

"I'm clean." Mabel said.

"Excellent. You can take James' position. Jackson, show him his room."

Jackson got up and showed Mabel to his room.

Meanwhile, Berry and Nemo were outside, sipping sodas, watching Charcoal chase his tail.

"What's Charcoal's use to the company?" Nemo asked.

Berry shrugged.

"Well, you're quite a help." Nemo groaned. "I always thought Nicholas just wanted a pet."

"Or it's just that Charcoal came around to make Jackson angry. We all know he's a cat person." Berry said.

"Solid point, but Jackson has had an appreciation for dogs."

"Big dogs. He can't stand small ones." Berry argued.

When Nicholas came downstairs, he saw Jackson's DJ stand set up, and Patrick and Will setting up decorations.

"What are you guys doing?" he asked.

"Surprise party for the new guy." Patrick replied, stapling streamers to the ceiling.

"We thought, as the party planning committee, we'd throw a party for the new guy, if one moves in." Will said, putting out a bowl of chips.

"Since when did we have a party planning committee?" Nicholas asked.

"Since today." Patrick answered, blowing up a balloon.

Nicholas sighed.

"Can I help you guys?"

"Sure." Will said. "All help is needed."

"Could someone get my subwoofer?" Jackson asked. "It's in the garage."

Nicholas took off.

Mabel came downstairs an hour later, looking for snacks.

He was naturally shocked to see several party decorations.

The users popped out of their hiding places.

"SURPRISE!" everyone yelled.

Mabel was indeed surprised.

"But, it's not my birthday." he said.

"We know." Nicholas said. "We decided to throw you a welcome to the wiki party."

"It was my idea." Patrick said.

"Whatever. Jackson, play your best." Nicholas shouted.

Jackson nodded, and Wake Up, Sunshine by All Time Low blasted out of the speakers.

Mabel suddenly got confused.

"Why does he choose the music?"

"He has the best music taste." Patrick said.

"At least it's better than his food." Nemo said. "He makes the worst food of all time."

"Explain." Mabel said.

"He always cooks out of a DC Superheroes Cookbook." Nicholas said. "Don't listen to Nemo, he's crazy."

"I AM NOT!"

"Well, can't we play anything on the radio?" Mabel asked. "That's my ideal party..."

The music suddenly stopped, and then everyone stared at him.

Jackson dropped his pair of headphones.

"What did you say?" he asked with gritted teeth.

"I asked can we play some average pop music on the radio." Mabel said, again.

"Get out." Jackson said.

"What?"

"GET OUT!"

Mabel simply shrugged, and left the house.

Suddenly, everyone glared at Jackson.

"What?" he asked.

"We lost our first new user since Wildcat!" Nicholas shouted.

"Listen, everyone, you know that I don't take requests, you deal with what I play."

Everyone nodded in realization.

Nicholas stepped forward.

"Doesn't matter. I'm going to find Mabel. Nemo?"

Nemo tossed over his keys.

Mabel was back in the front of the Burger King.

Nemo's truck pulled up and Nicholas hopped out.

"Mabel!" he shouted, running to him.

"What are you doing here?" Mabel asked, grimly.

"I wanted to apologize. Jackson can be a little bit nuts sometimes."

"I'm not coming back." Mabel said. "Not until Jackson is fired."

Nicholas pondered this.

"No. Jackson is our best screenwriter, we can't let him go. If we don't get anything done, then we get death threats from movie studios, and then if we get a lot of those, we get shut down. You don't want to be the reason we're out of business, do you?"

Mabel thought about this and got up.

"Alright, I'll come back, but have a word with Jackson about being nice to new guys." he said.

"He's like early Nemo." Nicholas said. "Hates the new guys, but warms up to them in about a week."

When Nicholas and Mabel came back home, they were treated with the guys rioting.

Apparently, while Nicholas and Mabel were gone, Nemo and Berry had decided to continue their argument about Charcoal's use to the company.

It had apparently ended up as a wrestling match between them.

Patrick, Will, and Wildcat were throwing money into the ring, and Jackson was playing some fight music.

Nicholas and Mabel ran in to see the commotion.

"What's going on?" Nicholas asked.

"Nemo and Berry had an argument about Charcoal and his use to the company." Patrick replied.

"It's an exciting fight, I can say that." Will said.

"I had the idea of throwing in money." Wildcat replied.

"YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY WRONG!" Nemo shouted.

"YOU'RE JUST TOO AFRAID TO ADMIT IT!" Berry retorted.

Nicholas took the microphone.

"OK, stop fighting! Charcoal only has one use in the company..."

"Moment of truth." Berry said.

"So we can have a pet in the house!" Nicholas said.

"I KNEW IT!" Nemo shouted. "Fifty bucks, cough it up!"

"I don't owe you anything." Berry grumbled.

"Listen, Mabel's back. Can we just have a good time?"

Everyone cheered, and the party resumed.

Nicholas had a talk with Jackson that night, and Jackson agreed to be nicer to Mabel.

And all was well with the wiki again.
