Ochaco was in distress. The cause of her distress was simple as it involved a certain cinnamon roll.
"Deku-kun…"
The main problem for Ochaco was that over time she had seen Deku-kun and the dorms' resident musician getting close. She wasn't sure why they were suddenly being friendly towards each other, but it made her sick to her stomach.
"I need to know what's going on!" stated the anti-gravity girl as she stood up and left her room to find Deku-kun.
She made her way down to commons room, hearing the sound of music, as she got closer. Upon entering the room the brunette stopped when she noticed just who was in there. Sitting on the couch were Kyouka and Momo, but what really caught Ochaco's attention was Eri, the sweet little girl Deku-kun had saved. It was clear that Kyouka was currently playing her acoustic guitar for the little one, who was hanging on every note.
When Kyouka had finished playing, that was when Momo had noticed the anti-gravity girl.
"Oh, Ochaco! Did you want to join us in listening to Kyouka's music?" asked the raven-haired beauty with a friendly smile.
Ochaco really just wanted to find Deku-kun, but as she thought about, maybe she could get answers from Kyouka instead.
"Ano, actually I was hoping I could talk with Kyouka about something?"
The rocker girl raised an eyebrow at this, wondering what Ochaco wanted to talk about. Seeing as how the brunette looked nervous, something told Kyouka this upcoming conversation needed to be private.
"Yaomomo, can you take Eri into the kitchen for a bit while I talk with Ochaco?"
"Of course, Kyouka. I was planning to make some tea anyway," replied Momo. She then turned to the child. "Would you like to help me make some tea, Eri-chan?"
"What kind of tea?" asked Eri in curiosity.
"Well, we have green tea…"
"Eri doesn't like green tea, Yaomomo. It's too bitter for her," replied Kyouka. Eri further confirmed this when she stuck out her tongue in disgust as she remembered when she first tried green tea.
This only made Momo smile. "Then you're in luck, Eri-chan! I think you'll enjoy black tea a lot more!"
As the peach girl led the little one into the kitchen, Ochaco had to wonder how Kyouka knew what Eri liked and didn't like…and why did Eri not liking green tea feel like a gut punch?
"So what did you want to talk about, Ochaco?" asked Kyouka once Momo and Eri were gone.
"H-Huh? Oh, w-well," started Ochaco as she sat down. "It's just…I've noticed that you and Deku-kun seemed to have gotten close recently and I was wondering when did that happen?"
'So that's what this is going to be about,' thought Kyouka with a frown. 'I'll give her one thing, she's not beating around the bush.'
The rocker girl figured she shouldn't beat around the bush either.
"Izu-kun and I got together sometime after the Culture Festival."
Ochaco froze upon hearing that. "Wh-What?"
Kyouka gave off a shrug. "We started hanging out and after awhile we decided to date after we realized we had feelings for each other."
"E-Eh?! B-But, b-but!" stuttered out the anti-gravity girl. This couldn't have been happening!
"Is something wrong, Ochaco?" asked Kyouka, knowing exactly what was wrong. It was not a secret to any of the girls in Class 1-A that Ochaco had a crush on the class cinnamon roll.
"Why? Why would you of all people go after Deku-kun?" questioned Ochaco, giving the purple-haired girl a narrowed look.
Kyouka returned the look. "I didn't go after him. After the Culture Festival, Izu-kun introduced me to Eri, who wanted to meet me after my singing got her to smile for the first time in her life. She's such a sweetie, by the way. Anyway, after that Izu-kun and I started hanging out together, sometimes with Eri. As time went on we grew to see each other as more than just friends and everything just clicked."
"But I…"
"Have feelings for him?" questioned Kyouka, causing Ochaco to flinch. "If that's the case, why didn't you act on them?"
"…I wanted to focus on my hero studies," replied Ochaco, her lips trembling.
"And no one will ever blame you for making that decision, Ochaco," replied the rocker girl. She then gave the brunette another narrowed look. "But that doesn't mean every other girl has to sit on the sidelines until you decide to take action!"
"B-But…"
"You ever hear of the phrase "all's fair in love and war"? You might have feelings for Izuku, Ochaco, but since you never did anything about it I was free to do what I wanted with MY feelings," explained Kyouka. "I love Izuku and I'm not giving him up."
Ochaco could feel the build up of tears. Had she really lost Deku-kun? Why did she have to be such a coward and not admit her feelings to him when she had the chance? But no, she had to push down those feelings so she could become a better hero and it cost her! Why did love have to be an angry bitch goddess and mess with those that didn't deserve to be punished?
It was then that the sound of the door opening caught the two girl's attention. Entering the dorms was the subject of their conversation, who gave them a freckle-faced smile.
Kyouka returned the smile as she stood up and made her way over to him. "Welcome home, Izu-kun."
She placed a brief kiss on his lips, causing him to blush and Ochaco to bristle. The brunette just KNEW Kyouka did that in front of her on purpose!
"H-Hey, Kyouka," replied Izuku as he wrapped an arm around her petite waist and held her close. "Where's Eri?"
And as if on cue…
"Papa!"
Upon hearing her Papa's voice, the little one rushed out of the kitchen, followed by Momo at a much slower pace as the rich girl was carrying a tray holding a teapot and some teacups.
Izuku let out some chuckles as Eri reached him and he lifted her up into his arms. "Hey, Eri. Did you have fun today?"
The white-haired girl nodded in happiness. "Hai! Mama sang a lot of songs for me and I got to help Momo-obachan make tea!"
'P-Papa?! Mama?!' thought Ochaco, her heart breaking in two. She needed to get out of there now! She stood to leave, catching Momo's attention.
"Ochaco? Aren't you going to stay for tea?" asked raven-haired beauty with a confused look.
"S-Sorry, Momo, but I just remembered that I still have some homework to complete. I'll have to take a rain check," explained the brunette.
Not waiting for a response, Ochaco left the room at a hurried pace. She wasn't sure how much longer she had before she broke down.
Izuku blinked in confusion before looking at his girlfriend. "Did something happen?"
"…I'll explain later. Right now, let's just kick back and relax with some tea, Izu-kun."
Accepting that, Izuku went over to the couch with his girlfriend and daughter and sat down, Eri sitting between her Papa and Mama.
With Kyouka, she felt sorry for Ochaco, she'd admit that much, but she did not feel guilty for loving the green cinnamon roll next to her. That would never change.
If Ochaco were as strong as Kyouka thought she was, she'll get over this eventually. She might even be able to find someone who will make her just as happy. Who knows?
All Kyouka did know was that she had no regrets in getting to know Izuku and where that led to and if given the chance to do it all over, she would do the exact same thing as last time.
That she was sure of.

Because if you have feelings for someone, purposely don't do anything about said feelings, and then someone else swoops in and wins your crush's heart…you have no right to whine and complain. You brought it onto yourself. I tire of seeing fics that ignore that.
Also…Izuku was the first person to show Eri kindness and tell her that her Quirk was not a curse. Kyouka was the first person to make Eri smile and make her happy. Combined with other aspects we know of the characters, Izuku and Kyouka really are the best parents for Eri.
What has Ochaco done for Eri? Oh that's right, nothing! The only reason most fans choose Ochaco to be Eri's mother is because Ochaco is the main girl of the series…and that's it. Just because she's the main girl doesn't mean she's the BEST choice. Especially since she wants to become a hero to provide for her parents…and you want her to start providing for a little girl as well? Feck off.
