Heroes.

He had scoffed at the idea of people trying to play the part. He didn't understand what compelled somebody to act heroically. Was it for recognition, out of kindness, or something else? It just seemed foolish, especially if there were risks involved.

At least, for a time, it was foolish to him.

He eventually found his answer to that mystery. His former self probably wouldn't recognize the person he would ultimately become. He had been so apathetic, hardly even caring for his own life. But everything changed on that fateful day, when he met a pale boy with blue eyes.

So much happened within the span of a year, and by the end he was happy. Although, he did have one lingering thought.

Would his friends say he became a hero?

Fujimura Ritsuka was taken aback.

He assumed he'd be used to this by now - summoning all sorts of Servants. It wasn't too long ago that he summoned Thomas Edison, whose appearance still throws him off, Hokusai Katsushika, and Jeanne Alter for example. He and the rest of Chaldea were continuing to rest and prepare for the next singularity after overcoming CĂș Alter.

Leonardo Da Vinci suggested summoning once again today, though her reasoning perplexed Ritsuka because in her own words she "had a good feeling." Even Dr. Roman was skeptical. But the Caster never once led Chaldea astray when it mattered, so Ritsuka obliged with his trusty Shielder, Mashu Kyrielight, at his side.

The Servant he had summoned, however, was... different, for lack of a better word.

His hair was unkempt and dark blue, with bangs covering his right eye. His build was light, and he appeared to be around Ritsuka's age as well. What really caught Ritsuka's attention was this Servant's clothes. They looked so... modern. If Ritsuka didn't know any better, his first guess would have been a school uniform but that sounded like a bit of a stretch.

Was this boy really a Heroic Spirit?

Mashu seemed just as perplexed as her Master.

"Um, Senpai? You should go greet him," she suggested. "It'd be rude to keep him waiting."

"Ah, right." Ritsuka nodded and approached the blue-haired boy, who had remained silent and observant of his surroundings since being summoned. "Hey there. Who are you, if you don't mind me asking?"

The Servant didn't respond immediately. He gazed at Ritsuka and Mashu impassively, possibly sizing them up. With a nod, the Servant finally spoke.

"Servant. Saver."

Ritsuka and Mashu blinked. They were familiar with classes outside of the standard ones, such as Ruler, Avenger, and Foreigner. But Saver was a different story.

"You're... a Saver?" Mashu asked.

Saver tilted his head.

"Hm? Why the surprised faces? You weren't expecting someone like me to be a Saver?" He shrugged. "Don't worry. I'm sure I can be a useful wild card to you, Master."

Chaldea was very spacious to Saver. Despite being an observation and research facility, the hospitable air it gave off was quite noticeable.

There were several other Servants that Ritsuka had summoned prior to Saver. He had already been briefed about his role as Ritsuka's Servant, which was to assist his Master in preventing humanity's extinction. Even before he was informed further about why such a thing was happening Chaldea's current director, Romani Archamen, Saver was already compliant to his Master's wishes, which shocked the Chaldea staff a little. He was a Servant, and he had a Master. Everything else was straightforward to him.

Ritsuka recommended to Saver that he should explore Chaldea today to become acquainted with his new home and fellow Servants, and so Saver was doing just that.

"Oi, you," an assertive-sounding voice grabbed his attention from behind. Upon doing a 180, Saver saw a knight in thick armor. There was no helmet, revealing the face of a young girl with a blonde ponytail. "I heard Master just got himself another Servant. I'm guessing it's you."

Ah, this girl.

"You'd be right," Saver answered.

"You're kinda scrawny-looking," the female knight remarked before shrugging. "But it doesn't really matter as long as you can pull your weight."

He had nothing to add to that, so he said nothing. Although, that made the knight frown.

"Not much of a talker too, I see," she stated. "Master definitely picked an interesting one this time. What's your class, anyway?"

"Saver."

The knight raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Now you're really an interesting one," amusement laced her voice. "I'm itching to see what you're made of. Why don't we reserve a spot at the training grounds and fight?"

Her offer was tempting, if only slightly.

"Maybe later," Saver replied. "Master told me I should take some time to get to know everybody and this place."

"Tch," the knight clicked her tongue. "He's got a point there. Fine, I'll let you off the hook for now, but don't think I'll forget about sparring."

She was stubborn, but such tenacity impressed him. Not a bad first meeting with a Servant here honestly.

"You're welcome to join me on my journey if you want, Mordred," Saver offered, as he resumed his tour.

"Eh, sure why not?" The knight said, feeling bored.

She briefly paused a moment later with a confused facial expression.

"Wait, how did you know my name?"

She was not given a proper response, but she swore she heard a small laugh.

"Bastard... I've got my eye on you."

Emiya usually kept a professional distance between others and himself. However, he did look after the children Servants of Chaldea and was one of the main chefs at the cafeteria. Being a chef was a job he took upon himself shortly after Ritsuka had summoned him, and his Master and the other Servants were certainly appreciative of his talents.

Today was no different for him, as he was occupied with preparing old-fashioned ramen since it was the lunch special.

"Oho! I smell a new challenger!" His fellow chef, Tamamo Cat, proclaimed suddenly in the kitchen.

Curious about what the Berserker was on about this time, Emiya paused from cooking and took a look at the cafeteria line. He saw the King of Knights's offspring next to an unfamiliar face.

"Yo, Emiya!" Mordred raised a hand in greeting.

"Mordred." Emiya nodded and cracked a smile, shifting his focus to the blue-haired stranger. "Now who might you be? Another Servant summoned by Master?"

"Yes. I'm of the Saver-class."

'How interesting,' Emiya mused. His Master's luck fascinated him at times. Based on his appearance, this Saver was going to be interesting to observe. But for now, he had his duties. "Welcome to Chaldea. I'm Emiya - an Archer. I also cook here in the cafeteria for Chaldea. Our special today is ramen. Would you and Mordred like some?"

"Your food's always tasty, Emiya, so hit me with it," Mordred replied, grinning.

"Ramen..." Saver mumbled.

Mordred tilted her head, interpreting Saver's tone as melancholic.

"What's up? Not in the mood to eat?" She wondered.

Saver shook his head.

"No. It's just... I haven't had ramen for so long. I'd like to have some."

Emiya's curiosity was piqued further. Very fascinating indeed.

"Two bowls of ramen, coming up," Emiya said as he prepared the meals.

A/N: I thought I would try something different compared to other Fate and Persona 3 crossovers. stay night and Zero were captivating alternatives in concept, but many have shared their ideas regarding both and I didn't want to add more to the pile.

While I do consider myself familiar with Fate lore and such, I am by no means an expert so take what I'm writing with a grain of salt if something seems off.

So what are Minato's characteristics as a Servant? I'd like to think he's capable enough to be a challenge, but as far as physical and mana prowess, he's certainly no Emiya. As a Saver, I don't think Minato would be on par with Buddha unless he decides to use The Universe Arcana. For this fanfic, I'm giving him at least a 4* rarity. Ultimately, how practical a Servant can be depends on the Master and Servant, but I'm certain Minato can be handy when push comes to shove.

Going by Grand Order's rule of 3 for skills, here are Minato's:

Matarakaja (A+): Increases attack for all allies.
Azure Will (C): Apply Guts to self (3 times).
Wild Card (EX): ?

Noble Phantasms:

Cadenza
Shadow Hound
Infinity
Armageddon
The Universe Arcana

Realistically, Minato can use all of his fusion spells from Persona 3 for Noble Phantasms.

At the time of posting this, the world's going through a tough time. Stay safe, everyone.
