I do not own Duck Tales.

Enjoy!

Who knew being reborn into a world filled with talking animals, could be so horrifying?

You would think, he would be one of the main characters or come from an amazing background.

But no.

He was one of the civilians running for their lives every time the Duck family caused a magical incident that rampaged the town.

He was captured when the Moon people came and was forced to wait until some lunatic duck saved the planet with his crazy plan.

He was a street cleaner.

Whenever a creature rampages through the town, it was he who went out there and cleaned it up.

But do you want to know what he really wanted to do?

He didn't want to join the main cast and take part in their crazy and destructive adventures.

He wanted to be the owner of a super-secret society.

A place where awesome people could hang out and have fun, regardless of their financial background.

Awesomeness is usually followed by people who can get treasure easily.

And his first invite would go to Scrooge McDuck driver, Launchpad.

For one thing, Launchpad was the least likely in the eyes of the world to belong to anything secretive.

Two, from what he didn't see from the show, Launchpad had a pretty epic life when he went off on his own.

Three, the guy was stupid enough not to dig deeper into what he was told.

And four, the guy was surprisingly good at keeping secrets despite his IQ, you would think he would blab all over the place but he kept the information he was given to himself.

He didn't have to do much when trying to convince this guy.

However, there were some issues with this.

By law, every club must be registered to the mayor, meaning Scrooge had to have a copy of every club and insert himself into everything.

There was no way, Scrooge wouldn't want to be in such a society with such a description.

But how to get around this?

How do you make a super-secret club without Scrooge McDuck knowing?

He laid out some paper on his wooden table in his house and began to plan.

He opened up the books he had rented from the library, all of them magical artefacts books.

He needed one thing to get him started but he didn't have the strength or athletic ability to get it.

And then an idea popped up.

"Huh. This might actually work" he said, he took out his cheap phone and began search something.

Bingo.

The disadvantage of having a billionaire for a boss was that the guys dry cleaning place was aired to the public.

Now he had to wait.

No matter how long it took, he had to be patient.

He began to pass the heavily guarded place, every single day, acting like a regular citizen walking by, it also helped that he didn't look at the building because the building wasn't his target.

He waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And then one day it finally happened.

Launchpad got Scrooge dry cleaning, he watched as the duck walked out of the heavily guarded gate and began making his way to the limousine parked out front.

He took a deep breath and began walking, he 'accidentally' bumped the duck but he made sure the duck could feel him put something into his baggy pants.

And then he continued walking, the hat on his head and the people surrounding provided him with the perfect camouflage.

What he had given to Launchpad was basically every secret society letter cliche.

The letter stated that a group had been watching the duck for a long time and were very impressed with him, they wanted to extend an invite to him but he would have to pass a test to become a member.

And for good measure, he said the letter will cause the weather to go from bad to worse if he didn't dispose of it immediately.

He had researched the weather and know it was going to rain soon, he highly doubted the duck had ever sat down and watched the weatherman.

His lie was plausible to the Duck that dealt with supernatural items on a regular basis.

However, he was still nervous, there were so many things that could go wrong.

What if the Duck showed the letter to a far smarter person?

What if the Duck didn't read it?

What if Miss B found it in Launchpads pants while she was doing the laundry?

However, he had nothing to lose by waiting for results and wait he did.

It was midnight on a Saturday when he stood near the docks and waited.

Ten minutes went past.

Half an hour.

An hour.

Would the duck bite?

And just when he was starting to think about going home, he heard the unmistakable sound of a plane landing.

He couldn't believe his eyes.

Launchpad had brought Della's Ducks red plane to meet him.

However, when he saw the Duck, his stunned expression quickly smoothened to somebody who was used to a plane landing before them.

The Duck peered out and was disappointed to see him because of course, he was.

He was a dark-skinned Duck with Donald Dick phasic, he was wearing a white shirt and really shiny eye contacts.

On his back was a backpack.

This was all for a persona.

Unfortunately, he did not have that kind of robust physic that Drake Mallard had.

In the letter he made it sound like everybody in the club was Epic looking and seeing him must have been a blow.

However, he stood tall not showing how his legs were killing him already.

He said in a voice he hoped didn't show tiredness. "Meeting me in a plane is a very strong start Mr McQuack. If you had walked towards me, I would have walked away. I'll give you 10 points for the entrance" before he said. "Now are you going to let me on the plane or are we going straight to the memory wiping?"

Of course, he was talking out of his ass, but Launchpad didn't know that.

"Oh, sorry," said the guy before opening up and he walked in.

He walked to the front of the plane and the door closed behind him.

He sat down with a seat belt on and put his bag on his lap.

Launchpad crashed out of there and he almost screamed like a little girl.

He has never been on a plane where the pilot could kill him.

However he managed to smoother his facial expression in time and act like this was perfectly normal for him when in reality, he wanted to hurl and be back in his safe bed.

"Allow me to finally introduce myself," he said. "I am the Eye of the society. My society name is Spy. I am in charge of assessing potential candidates to join the group. To become a member you must go on an epic adventure before my eyes while also not losing me. Your adventure has been pre-chosen for you. Many people have died trying to complete this quest, however, becoming a member is more than worth it"

"Okay, then. I won't let you down" said Launchpad.

He got out the map and began to guide the duck, they were going after the puzzle of Egypt's finest magician.

The puzzle was said to contain a small pocket world, it allowed you to travel between the puzzle world and the normal world.

It would also make his body tougher to kill as well and alert him of somebody who fitted his desires.

He needed it, but with his thin arms, there was no way he could get it.

While driving Launchpad tried to make awkward small talk with him but keeping in his persona, he replied with one words answers.

A few hours later, they attempted to land in the forest, the reality was, Launchpad crashed right into the temple.

Somehow he managed to walk out with Launchpad and keep the bile from escaping his mouth.

"Now what?" Said Launchpad.

"Now, you carry me on your back as I navigate for you," he said, climbing him and feeling like a child. "You have to keep me alive while showing me what you got. However, do not worry about killing me, I am programmed to return back to my pod if I die. However you, on the other hand, do not have a safe place to regenerate to if you die"

He was talking out of his ass again, but Launchpad brought it.

"Wow. So you're a robot? That's so cool" said Launchpad. "And your light too"

"Well, go forward," he said.

And than Launchpad began to ran.

The following minutes of his life tested his pain tolerance.

It was a miracle, he managed to stay on, the temple had the classics traps and Launchpad was Indiana Jonas.

But nobody ever thought about how scary it was to be on the back of such a guy doing this.

He almost died three times, but they managed to make it to the end.

They came to a dome, and the rock door locked behind them.

"Now what?" Said Launchpad.

"You see that twinkle in the ceiling? Get that." He said, pointing to what he assumed was the treasure. "For the last portion of the test, I won't be on your back this time but you need to get me out of here. How you do it is the most important thing here. If you don't have style, you don't get in"

"Way to put pressure on a guy," said Launchpad before the duck began to look around.

The moment Launchpad touched the wall, he heard it.

Water.

Water began filling the place.

Launchpad seeing this went faster, he performed flips and scaled like he was spiderman.

There were truly no normal people around the richest duck in the world.

He just watched while the dome slowly filled with water, but something made his heart drop.

The sound of something being plopped into the water.

Oh, no.

He remembered the worst thing to do in this situation is panic in the water, the shifting air current would attract whatever it was, now swimming through it.

Launchpad thankfully got the puzzle and throw it down.

It splashed into the water in front of him.

Oh, no.

He began to move to grab it but the movement before had already alerted what was in the water.

The next thing he knew, Launchpad was yelling and falling from the sky.

He looked to see the guy punch a shark that was coming up from behind him.

His mouth dropped.

Wow.

If he was richer, he would have hired the duck on the spot.

The duck tangled with the shark, while he went to look for the item in the water, he saw it and swam to it only for his touch to be the trigger to a bomb.

Boom!

Everybody went flying including the shark, he landed into a pool of water and not land.

However, he thought it was immediately worse.

In and out of consciousness, he saw Launchpad without his hat, dragged him out of the water and back to the ship.

When he came to, he saw that he was laying on the plane floor.

Pain.

So much pain.

He wanted to yell but somehow found the supernatural ability to not do so.

He kept the act up and said. "System online"

"Oh, thank god," said Launchpad. "I didn't know what I was supposed to do regarding a robot." Before he said. "I failed huh? The item is probably half away across the jungle by now."

He said nothing.

"I just thought it would be so cool to be part of a club," said Launchpad. "Everybody around me is just so amazing, I just feel so small sometimes. Sometimes I wonder what am I now. I mean, I'm not really the pilot guy anymore. Not that I'm not happy about it but Della Duck basically took my job. I've been reduced to co-pilot and I have to beg to be put on an adventure"

The duck sighed.

It was really sad to see how tired the duck was because he was the kind of guy you think of when you hear the word 'Action star'.

But being around Scrooge McDuck and all those incredible people who outshine him in every way would make even a top agent doubt himself.

Even Children did not need his help.

And the saddest thing was, Launchpad had the talking ability to inspire people to become heroes but he would never reach his peek if even a child was overshadowing him.

The duck got up and walked to his seat and said. "I'm ready for the memory wipe now. A test is a test and I failed"

The duck crashed out of the Temple but this time something kicked in within him.

It was the Puzzle.

It hadn't disappeared it had entered him.

He slowly got up and walked to Launchpad, he stood beside him until the guy looked up.

"Launchpad McQuack, you are more than enough," he said, with glowing eyes. "Welcome to Jigsaw,"

And then the world went white for both of them.

Launchpad, suddenly found himself in front of his Employer Yard and behind him was the plane, the next thing he knew, Della Duck had opened the door and started yelling at him, before she cried at the sight of her crashed plane.

"Why are you so wet?" She finally noticed.

"Ur, I accidentally crashed into a river and I must have gotten water on me while I took a joyride." he said, "I thought I would be back before you noticed"

"Well, I noticed," she said. "I need this Plane for tomorrow. It's going to take forever to fix this" before she said. "And you, stay as far away from this plane as possible while I fix this. Go hang out with Miss B or something"

"...well, okay, then," he said before he put on his hat and walked into the house, dripping water for Miss B and the Ghost butler to grumble at.

'Launchpad McQuack, you are more than enough'

"More than enough, huh?" Said the Duck.

It looks like he made a good friend, today.

He wondered when he would see that robot next.

Meanwhile, the guy was slowly putting his feet in a bucket of ice cubes and placed packs all over his body.

He was flesh and bone.

There was no way he could come to work on Monday with these injuries.

If recruiting Launchpad could do this to him, what kind of torture awaited him when he tried to recruit somebody smarter?

However, this was what he decided to do and Launchpad had left an impact on him.

And scene!
