Ever since the Joint Training between Classes 1-A and 1-B, Jirou Kyouka has been troubled. The reason for her state of mind was what had happened during the fight between Team Midoriya and Team Monoma.
'Just what the hell did Midoriya do? That ability he used…'
While everyone was shocked by the new technique Midoriya had, it had a different effect on the purple-haired girl. That ability felt familiar to Kyouka and she needed to know why. There was only one person she could ask…she could only hope he'd talk.
"Hey, Midoriya!" called out the rocker girl as she found the green-haired boy training in the gym.
"Huh? Oh, hi, J-Jirou-san. Is there something you needed?" asked Izuku, turning to the girl.
"Just wanted to ask you a few questions," replied Kyouka with a shrug. "Mainly about that new Quirk you got during the Joint Training."
Izuku tensed up and broke out into a cold sweat. "Wh-Why exactly d-do you w-want to know about th-that?"
The girl gave off a frown. "It reminded me of some stories my old man used to tell me when I was younger. My great-great-grandfather had a similar Quirk and I guess seeing yours brought up those memories."
Whatever tension Izuku had left upon hearing this and was replaced with relief. "Really? What was the name of his Quirk? Was your grandfather a hero too?"
Her mouth twitched into an amused smirk. Of course Midoriya would start to fanboy over a possible new Quirk. "Yes, really. As to your other two questions, if I remember correctly, Jiji's Quirk was called Blackwhip and he was a hero known as Lariat."
And the tension came back stronger than ever as Izuku felt like ice water filled his veins. "B-Blackwhip? L-Lariat?"
"Yup. Being a hero fanboy, you've probably heard of him, right?"
The boy gulped nervously. "J-Jirou-san? J-Just to be clear, b-by any chance was your g-grandfather's name B-Banjo D-Daigoro?"
"So you have heard of him! I'm honestly surprised you have. My old man said Jiji actually died pretty young," explained Kyouka.
An inner conflict was raging in Izuku's head by this point.
'This is bad! This is really, really bad! Banjo-san is Jirou-san's great-great-grandfather?! How is that possible?! Worse yet, Jirou-san could be in danger for having a connection to One For All! Do I tell her the truth or do I keep quiet?! What do I do?! What do I do?!'
Unfortunately for Izuku, in his panic he had muttered his thoughts out loud. Add the fact that Kyouka had enhanced hearing; she heard everything Izuku had said.
'One For All? What's that and what does that have to do with Jiji and I? More importantly, why does it sound as if Midoriya knows Jiji personally?' thought Kyouka, narrowing her eyes onto Izuku. "Hey, Midoriya! How exactly do you know Goro-jii and what does he have to with this One For All?"
Izuku really wished he could keep his mouth shut at times. "W-Well…"
He didn't get any further when an angry looking Kyouka extended one of her earphone jacks to where she could easily stab Izuku in the eye. "Don't try to lie to me, Midoriya. If you somehow know something about MY family, I have a right to know!"
"…Y-You're right, you do have a right to know, b-but I can't tell you. N-Not yet anyway."
"Why not?" growled out the girl.
"It's not my secret to tell," explained Izuku as he pulled out his phone and sent a text. "If you want to know the truth, come with me."
Kyouka should have refused and demanded for answers then and there, but she could tell that Izuku meant what he said.
"Fine! But if this some sort of trick…"
"I-It's not a trick, I swear! I promise, I'll tell you everything."
With that, Izuku led Kyouka out of the gym and towards the teacher's lounge.
-:-
In the teacher's lounge sat All Might, staring at the text he just received from Midoriya.
We need to talk about One For All.
This worried Toshinori to know end. Was his boy okay? Was there another mishap? He was about to go and look for his boy when the door opened and Midoriya came into the room. What surprised the retired hero was that young Jirou was with Midoriya.
"Young Midoriya? What exactly did you need to talk about again?" questioned Toshinori, looking back and forth between his ward and the girl in confusion.
That was when Kyouka stepped forward, giving the tall blond a narrowed look. "What is One For All and what's its connection to Banjo Daigoro?"
The question caused Toshinori to cough up blood in surprise. How did young Jirou know about One For All and Banjo Daigoro?! He looked over at Midoriya, who looked like a kicked puppy.
"B-Banjo-san happens to be J-Jirou-san's great-great-grandfather."
Toshinori's eyes widened upon hearing this. He then turned to Jirou, who was still giving him a narrowed look.
"How exactly did you hear about One For All, young Jirou?"
"I wanted to ask Midoriya about his new Quirk since it similar to Jiji's and when I mentioned Jiji's name, Midoriya started panicking and talking about this One For All, Jiji, and how I might be in danger?" explained the rocker girl.
Izuku hung his head in shame, although Toshinori couldn't really blame him. Finding out that one of your classmates is related to a One For All user would probably do that to anyone.
Letting out a sigh, All Might looked at the girl with a serious look. "Sit down, young Jirou. We have much to discuss."
Once Izuku and Kyouka sat down across from Toshinori, the retired hero began his tale. He told Kyouka about what One For All was and how it came into existence. He told her about the previous users, including his mentor and her great-great-grandfather. He also told her of All For One.
It was a lot to process as Kyouka sat there quietly. It was honestly starting to worry Izuku.
"J-Jirou-san?"
"Th-This doesn't even feel right," said the girl, catching Izuku and All Might off guard. "First the idea that a Quirk can be transferred from one person to another is like something out of a sci-fi story…
…Then, not only has that super strong villain that All Might fought been alive since the dawn of Quirks, but he's the one who killed Goro-jii?!"
"A-All For One is the one who killed all of the past wielders, except for All Might," said Izuku, glancing away.
Kyouka turned to him with wide eyes, a look of fear in them. "And that's another thing! You have this power now, Midoriya! Does that mean this All For One will come after you now?!"
"P-Possibly, if he somehow escapes prison," replied the green-haired boy. "That's why I need to get stronger, so I can stop him once and for all. I won't let him hurt anymore people."
"How can you even say that with a straight face?!" demanded the girl, her fear getting the best of her. "All Might was the strongest hero the world has ever known and it took him EVERYTHING to stop that villain! What makes you think you can be the one to end it for good?! What makes you think you won't die in the process?!"
"…I don't know for sure, Jirou-san. All I do know though, is that I will do everything I have to, to end this cycle of chaos. Even if I have to die in the process, I WILL end it," replied Izuku with a look of determination.
That wasn't the answer Kyouka was looking for, as she suddenly stood up and paced around in a panic, causing the two males to stare in shock.
"No, no, no, no, no, no! Th-This can't be happening!" panicked Kyouka, forgetting that she wasn't alone. Tears were starting to build up in her eyes. "This villain is too strong, he'll kill Midoriya just like he did Goro-jii! If he killed Jiji, wh-what if he finds out about Kaasan and Otousan and goes after them?! What do I do, what do I do?!"
The next thing Kyouka knew was that she was brought into a tight embrace, shocking her out of her panic attack. Looking up, she saw the calm face of the class cinnamon roll.
"I won't let All For One hurt you, Jirou-san. I won't let him hurt you, your family, or anyone else. I swear I'll stop him and the League of Villains once and for all!"
Her tears started to fall. "B-But you're willing to die to do that…"
"…If it means to keep everyone else safe, then that's what will happen."
"That's bullshit and you know it, Midoriya!" snapped Kyouka, giving the boy a teary-eyed glare, making him flinch. "You shouldn't have to throw your life away like that! There has to be some other way!"
"B-But…"
"…I want in on this."
"Eh?!"
"I'm not letting you fight them on your own, Izuku!" snapped Kyouka, not realizing she used his given name. "No one, no matter how strong they are, should have to carry a burden like that on their own!"
"B-But, J-Jirou-san!"
"All For One was an enemy of Goro-jii's, which makes him just as much my enemy as he is yours. And while I might not have Jiji's Quirk and strength and the thought of All For One terrifies me, I would rather be by your side and help fight against him than sit on the sidelines and possibly watch him kill you. So I'm not taking no for an answer, damn it!"
Izuku wasn't sure what to do. Looking into Kyouka's eyes he saw anger, sadness, fear, determination. On one hand, he did NOT want her involved in this. The risks were too high and he wouldn't be able to live with himself if something happened to her and he could have prevented it. On the other hand, she would get involved regardless of what he said, making the risks even higher. It was a lose-lose situation for him. Glancing towards his mentor, Izuku silently asked for help.
"…Young Jirou, you do know the risks if you get involved, right?" asked All Might, catching the two teens' attention.
"Considering how strong and evil All For One is, yes, yes I do know the risks. That's all the more reason I'm not going to let Izuku deal with this on his own," stated the purple-haired girl. "I'll do whatever I have to, to become a stronger hero and help Izuku take down All For One."
Toshinori looked at young Jirou and surprisingly to him couldn't help but feel proud of how determined she was over this. It reminded him of young Midoriya and how he would never give up, even against all odds. He wondered briefly if he, Nana, Daigoro, or any of the other One For All wielders had someone strong-willed like young Jirou by their side, would All For One's true defeat have come earlier? Would Nana still be alive?
He hated putting this burden on these kids, but since he could no longer use One For All, it truly was up to young Midoriya to end this…and with young Jirou by his side, All Might had a feeling peace could finally come to this world.
"If you are truly serious about this, young Jirou, do note that you will have to train even harder than you ever have in the past."
"I did say I'd do whatever it takes. If extra training is what I need, then so be it," replied Kyouka, her determination not dissipating.
"I still think this is a bad idea," stated Izuku, afraid of what could happen.
"Too late, Izuku. My mind is made up," stated Kyouka, crossing her arms.
"Very well then," said All Might, getting their attention once more. "I will try to come up with a training regiment that will fit your style, young Jirou. In the meantime, I'm sure young Midoriya will be able to help with your training. Now, are there anymore questions you might have?"
Now that she was a bit calmer, there was one question that came to mind. She turned to Izuku for answers.
"How exactly do you even have Goro-jii's Quirk and how is it that you act as if you know him personally?"
The freckle-faced boy blushed slightly as he rubbed the back of his head in nervousness. "W-Well, to be honest, One For All is more than just a strength enhancer. I-It allows the user to use the Quirks of the previous users."
"…Wait, what?" questioned Kyouka with a blank look.
"I know it doesn't really make sense. In fact, even All Might didn't know about that ability of One For All," stated Izuku. "The only reason Blackwhip was able to manifest at all was because during the Joint Training I was trying to figure out how to capture Monoma, which is that Quirk's main function. Then, after Shinsou brainwashed me to stop Blackwhip, I was able to meet Banjo-san and…"
"Wait, you MET Goro-jii? What the hell?"
"…Apparently the Quirks of the previous users aren't the only things that One For All holds," replied Izuku. "When I manifested Blackwhip, Banjo-san confronted me within my mind to tell me that I was using his Quirk all wrong and even encouraged me to try and control it. As of right now, I can only use Blackwhip for a very short period of time, so I can only use it for support rather than combat."
Kyouka was wondering how many times today she was going to be shocked. Firs she learns about a transferable Quirk, then about All For One killing her Jiji and might come after Izuku because the cinnamon roll holds One For All, and now she finds out that because her Jiji use to have One For All he and his Quirk are now essentially living inside of Izuku. She was on the fence on whether that was cool or disturbing.
"Are…Are you able to talk with him?" asked Kyouka.
Izuku could hear the bit of hope in her voice. As much as he hated to do it, he shook his head no. "I'm sorry, Jirou-san, but even before Banjo-san full revealed himself to me, he and other the predecessors seem to only talk to me during certain moments and I can't contact them otherwise. I wish I could say differently."
"O-Oh, okay," replied the shy rocker, disappointed that she wouldn't have a way to talk to her family member. "C-Could you at least tell me how he was doing the last time you saw him?"
"Aside from chewing me out, he seemed happy with no regrets," answered Izuku with a smile.
Kyouka couldn't help the small smile on her own face, happy to know that her Jiji wasn't suffering despite being dead.
All Might watched the two teens continue to talk, any concerns he still had disappearing. He was proud of his boy for helping young Jirou through all of this and it was clear that these two had bond that would continue to grow and mature over time.
It would be that bond that would bring peace to this world.

I don't know, I look at Banjo Daigoro and I get hardcore rock n' roll fan vibes from him, which led to the idea of "what if Daigoro was related to Kyouka on her father's side?" That's where this fic comes in.
Not real sure if or when I'll make this into a full story with multiple chapters, which is why this will be labeled as "complete" for now. If I do, you can expect the following:
IzuJirou (obviously)
Kyouka and Bakugou rivalry
Stronger and more skilled Kyouka
Talks between Nana and (overprotective) Daigoro about their respective grandchildren (Izuku and Kyouka)
Jealousy
That all being said, I am curious how YOU guys would run with this idea. So that's the challenge I'm issuing to anyone who wants to take it up; write a Kyouka is related to Banjo Daigoro fic. Different writers will have different takes and I want to see what you guys can do.
