Hi everyone! So I know this fandom has suffered since the final Tinker Bell movie came out, but I was recently re-watching the movies on Disney+ and wanted to write yet another story about the wonderful world of Pixie Hollow! Enjoy!

(Set after the events of Secret of the Wings)

Disclaimer: I don't own anything except the new fairy.

The first thing she saw was a glittering golden light. Then, she felt the cold.

A shiver ran down the small fairy's spine as she sat up, the golden light fading. She blinked a few times, taking in the world around her. Everything was white and blue, and she noticed she was sitting in a pile of fresh, fluffy snow. As she looked around, she noticed all of the fairies surrounding her. They were all greeting her softly, which she assumed was an attempt to keep her calm.

"Hello?" she said, although it sounded more like a question. All she received was a few giggles.

She listened to the light laughter and smiled, then looked up as she heard the twittering of an owl. The fairies around her took a few steps back, many of them bowing their heads as the large snowy owl landed a few feet in front of her. She watched in curiosity as a tall sparrow man slid off the owl and began to walk towards her.

"Hello there, young one," the man said, extending a hand to help her up. "I am Lord Milori, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to Pixie Hollow." The young fairy looked up and locked eyes with the lord. In that moment, she felt a powerful emotion surge through her, though she couldn't quite place it. It almost felt like debt, except it had a kinder feeling with it. She tried to brush it off.

She shivered as she accepted his hand, and he chuckled. Raising his other hand, Lord Milori waved in a small circular motion over her head. "That should feel better," he said as she felt the cold melt away from her body.

"Much better, thank you," she said. She gestured around as she asked, "What is this place?"

"This, my dear, is the Winter Woods," Lord Milori answered. "We are responsible for bringing the winter season to the Mainland."

"What's the Mainland?" she asked. "What do we have to do there?"

"I will answer any questions you have in due time, dear," Lord Milori said with a smile. "But now, it is time for you to fly."

"I can fly?" she asked in disbelief. She heard the other fairies giggle again.

"Yes, young one. Let's see your wings," the lord said. He moved behind her, and she felt another shiver run through her, although it wasn't from the cold this time. She looked back and saw her own silver wings. There were swirled patterns lined with dots running up and down the length of each wing, and she smiled widely.

"Would you like to give it a try?" Lord Milori asked, holding out his hand once more. She nodded enthusiastically, taking his hand and fluttering her wings. As her feet left the ground, she gasped. She was flying; it was unbelievable!

Lowering herself to the ground, she let out a clear, joyous laugh at the feeling. At the same time, Lord Milori stepped back and waved his arm in a circle. The little fairy looked around in surprise as small snow blocks rose around her in a half-moon shape. One by one, fairies came forward to place objects on each block.

"Lord Milori," she said with a furrowed brow, "what are these things?"

"They will help you find your talent," the lord explained. "Go ahead; try to touch one."

The fairy looked around apprehensively, but slowly walked towards the block that held a crown of pine needles. She reached out with one hand, but before she even made contact, the pine needles lost their shape and fell to the block in a heap. She immediately pulled her hand back and looked to the fairies gathered behind the symbol, but they just gave her sad smiles.

More of the same happened when she reached out to the frosted leaf, the blue-engraved staff, and the chunk of slow-melting ice. As each object melted or fell apart, the fairy became more and more discouraged. When it happened again on the last item in the half-circle, she turned to Lord Milori.

"What does this mean, sir?" she asked in frustration. "Am I talentless?"

Lord Milori didn't answer for a moment. The gathered fairies looked on with concern, but then a thoughtful expression crossed the lord's face. He held a hand out to the snowy owl he'd arrived on, beckoning it closer. As it approached, he looked at a sparrow man in the group of fairies who'd possessed an intricate snowflake.

"Sled," he called, indicating for the sparrow man to come closer. When he did, the lord's voice lowered. "Please tell the Keeper to send a message ahead to the queen; I need her to meet us at the border to resolve an issue with a new arrival." The sparrow man, Sled, looked confused, but nodded and flew off. Lord Milori turned back to the new fairy.

"My dear, do not fret," he said in a soothing tone. "While this is unusual, it is nothing to worry about. Some talents are not immediately apparent; we will find yours."

The fairy took a deep breath to calm down. "How are we supposed to do that?"

Lord Milori merely smiled. "Come with me and you will find out." He gestured to his owl, and the fairy took the hint, flying up to its head to pat it gently before taking a seat on its back. While the lord addressed the crowd of concerned fairies, the new arrival continued to think about the ceremony. She worried about how they would find her talent; she didn't even have a name yet, and she was supposed to figure out what she was good at after failing the first time? Worse yet, this time she would find her talent in front of the Queen of Pixie Hollow; things could go very wrong.

As Lord Milori jumped into place in front of her on the owl, the new fairy wondered: What went wrong?

Who's the new fairy? Just what is her talent? I'll update soon; hope you enjoyed!
