Chapter 4 - Winners
Leonard and Penny were returning from their date. They'd had a lovely time at the cinema, at a movie Penny had insisted they see. Penny had had a great time, Leonard had been bored and almost fell asleep. But having Penny curled up on his shoulder the whole movie was worth it to him. They were laughing about a funny joke Penny was telling, while going up the stairs. As they approached the 4th floor, they heard some loud voices coming from Leonard's apartment.
"Amy! Not like this! Don't touch it like that!"
"Ahh, Sheldon! Be careful. How should I grab it then? Like this?"
"Wow, they are loud. What are they doing?" Penny said giggling to Leonard, "maybe something naughty?!"
"Come on Penny, it's Sheldon we're talking about." Leonard rolled his eyes. Penny was always hopeful with Sheldon and Amy.
"Yeah, I know," Penny sighed. "I just feel bad for Amy. Sheldon could show her some appreciation, you know? Break out of his shell and enjoy life with his girlfriend!"
"Sheldon doesn't enjoy life, and you know it." Leonard sighed. He also wanted Sheldon to take some risk and get out of his comfort zone. For him and for Amy. "Come on, let's go to your apartment and have some dinner. Let's give them some time to do...whatever they are doing." Leonard gestured with his hand, dismissing any idea about whatever crazy thing they could be doing inside his apartment.
"Yeah, yeah," Penny said disappointed. She stole a glance at the door where muffled voices were coming from, and curious as always, she couldn't help herself. She needed to know more.
"What are they doing in there?" Tugging Leonard's jacket, she got them near the door to 4A. The voices weren't as loud as before, but she could hear them quite well with her ear on the door.
"You need to be more careful." Sheldon said.
"It's the first time I've done that Sheldon, you know that. I'm just…nervous." Amy said in a lower voice.
"Do what?" Penny's eyes shot a gaze to Leonard, who was also listening.
"I know, you don't need to be nervous. I-I will help you with that. Come closer."
"Okay."
They heard some muffled noises.
"Ouch! Not that hard, Sheldon!"
"Oh, excuse me! You need to relax Amy! Feel it, see? Move it like this. Yes...like this."
Penny suppressed a gasp. She couldn't help herself and rushed to open the door. Leonard almost fell down as he was supporting his weight on the door she'd just opened. Penny stood studying the scene in front of her.
Sheldon and Amy were standing in front of the TV. Amy was bending forward with her arm stretched forward, holding a white remote in her hands and Sheldon behind her, bent over Amy and holding Amy's arm.
"Strike!" Amy shouted, raising her hands over her head. A bowling sound came from the TV. "Yes, I did it!" She exclaimed. "Oh, hi guys!" She said, noticing Penny and Leonard at the door. "How was your date?" She blushed when she felt their gazes on them. She quickly stepped away from Sheldon's side. He also moved some distance from her.
"Well, well, well, what were you two lovebirds doing?" Penny singsonged. She was a little disappointed; she thought they were doing something more intimate, but they were quite close and touching each other. It was the first time she'd seen them like this.
"Playing Wii sports." Sheldon simply said. He seemed calm but Amy noticed he was feeling uncomfortable.
"Sheldon taught me bowling." Amy added.
"See? Nothing to be seen," Leonard whispered to Penny. "They were just playing something as innocent as Wii sports, as expected".
"And Mario Kart," Sheldon's face tensed, "but I need to talk with Koothrappali and Wolowitz, they will hear from me." He added upset. "And they have a strike. One for each."
"A bowling strike?" Penny smirked to Sheldon, "I thought Amy was the only one you gave one to." She said in a suggestive voice. Teasing his friend was her favorite thing in the world to do. He shot her an annoyed gaze in return.
"Do you want a strike too Penny?" He growled. "You have two already. You know what that means, right?"
"We also played karts." Amy added and walked between the two friends to make some peace.
"Who won?" Leonard asked, amused, walking to the kitchen.
"Well… ahh". Amy hesitated. She didn't know what to say. To be honest, they didn't finish that game. After all that had happened, Sheldon asked her to play the Wii, and it was…interesting. He taught her to play the games, not being afraid of being in contact with her, touching her, it felt intimate somehow. Just a moment ago, before Leonard and Penny stopped them, Sheldon was teaching her bowling, his body basically flush with hers, his arm on hers, accompanying the movement, like romantic couples in some movies Amy loved. It was just...different from before. He was less afraid of sharing with her.
"We both won." Sheldon said, determined.
"Oh, really?" Leonard eyebrows furrowed, surprised. He knew how competitive Sheldon was, it wasn't like him to say that.
Amy glanced at Sheldon shyly and blushed intensely.
Penny noticed her blushing and patted her shoulder "Amy, you lucky girl!"
Amy's expression morphed into panic. Did Penny discover something about what they did? Amy noticed Sheldon tensed at her side too. "You made Sheldon go easy on you! You need to tell us your secret." Penny chuckled. Why did the thought of them doing something naughty cross her mind? Of course, they were just playing a stupid video game. And Amy blushing just because of that, it was so adorable. Penny just wanted them to discover the wonders of being a real girlfriend and boyfriend. But maybe they needed to discover it at their own pace. Patience!
Amy relaxed visibly seeing that Penny was just joking. Easy on her? All the contrary, a smirk formed in her lips at the thought. If only Penny knew… but Amy was too ashamed right now. There was a strange silent agreement between them to not say anything. She saw it every time their eyes met.
Maybe it would be better to leave now that everyone was there. Their date night was over anyway and it was getting late. She had hoped to talk with Sheldon about everything in private. But they would have time for that another time. She needed to process all that had happened anyway, and he probably did too.
"Well, I should go." Amy announced. She directed her attention to Sheldon. "Thanks for the date." She said to him. Their eyes kept the contact for longer than it was needed, but it was difficult to avert her eyes from his deep gaze. But afraid of Leonard and Penny asking them more indiscreet questions, she walked towards Sheldon's desk, where her jacket and purse were.
"Okay." Sheldon remained standing in the middle of the room, watching her go. Leonard, who was grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge, looked at Sheldon and noticed his friend's hesitation. There was something off with him but he couldn't place what it was.
"I'll walk you out, " Sheldon suddenly said, "I need to dispose of the trash."
"How romantic." Penny muttered to Leonard, rolling her eyes.
Amy, who was at the door already, smiled at him. She knew he wanted to get rid of what they had used before. But she was happy that she would be able to say good night to him in a more proper way, not pressured by being in front of their friends. Sheldon walked towards her quickly and opened the door for her.
As soon as they were out, Leonard and Penny shared a confused look.
"What was that?" Leonard exclaimed. "He never throws the trash out on a Thursday night!" He complained. Sheldon, the strict schedule planner, was doing something off schedule for him. If it was him doing that, he would get a reprimand from his roommate.
"That's all you have to say to…that!" Penny rolled her eyes and pointed to the door.
"Well," Leonard hesitated, "they looked at each other in a way...wasn't that strange?"
"Sweetie, did you hear yourself? Since when are Sheldon and strange not the same?" Penny dismissed Leonard and opened a can of soda. "Come on, let's watch some TV before mister wackadoodle comes back". Penny still hoped they would be able to tease Sheldon later. "We can ask him about how fun it is playing the Wii with his girlfriend." She said it like it was something very naughty.
Little did they know that outside the apartment Sheldon was passionately kissing Amy goodbye and left her with a promise of coming to her apartment tomorrow to update their relationship agreement for their new game nights.

And that's it! That's my take on my sketchy comic! With a just for fun ending that I hope it made you laugh. Sorry if you were expecting a deep and long conversation between them about what happened, as some people hinted in the reviews, it wasn't my idea here.
