A/N: A small tag for yesterday's episode "Fortune Favors the Brave".

"You know, I think Devin's going to do alright," Deeks said, tossing his keys on the table just inside the front door. "He had a bit of a shaky start, but he's got good instincts."

"Plus, it doesn't hurt that he finds you absolutely hilarious," Kensi pointed out as she took off her jacket and tossed it on the couch.

"There's that too." He grinned, it was slightly wistful and smaller than normal. Remembering the reason behind it, Kensi marched back across the room and grabbed the sides of Deeks' face for a forceful kiss. He let out a gasp as his back hit the wall with a thud.

"What are you doing?" he asked, seeming a little surprised by her attack.

"You were nearly killed twice today," Kensi answered. She trailed her nose along his jaw, reveling in the fact that he was alive. Deeks' hands fell naturally to her hips and he shrugged.

"I'd like to think I had things under control during the shootout. You should have seen me, hair flying, gun drawn. It was pretty spectacular." Kensi just shook her head and pressed her body against the length of his.

"Shut up and kiss me, you idiot," she breathed. Deeks hesitated for a moment and then lifted her up, spinning so her back was now pressed to the wall. She wrapped her legs around his hips, holding him in place. He gently cupped her cheek, looking down with an expression that was equal parts wistful and loving.

Kensi rocked her hips forward, rewarded with the firm pressure of his erection. A hint of something completely primal glinted in his eyes for a moment and then he descended on her. His lips were firm, forcing hers open with delicious pressure. Kensi groaned, fisting her hands in the rough material of his jacket.

Speaking of jackets, there was way too much clothing between them. Kensi started jerking at his collar while he latched his lips over her pulse. His clothes weren't coming off fast enough and she made a frustrated noise, yanking at the arms futilely.

Deeks grinned at her and lifted her a little higher in his arms, carrying her over to the couch. He lowered them carefully and Kensi rolled him onto his back, fingers trembling as she hastily stripped off her jeans and underwear. She crawled back on top, hovering over Deeks as he unbuttoned his jeans. Kensi took over for him, shoving them just past his hips and calling it good enough. She didn't have the patience undressing any more than necessary.

Deeks started to say something, but she silenced him with another urgent kiss. His erection was warm and hard between their bodies and Kensi palmed it gently for a moment. Deeks watched her avidly, his breath coming out in short pants.

Kensi stroked him for a few more seconds and then straddled his hips, sinking down onto him with a sigh. She set a fast, almost frantic pace that Deeks matched. She pressed her forehead to Deeks', needing to be as close to him as she could. Deeks groaned, arching into her as they both found completion and Kensi clasped him tightly to her chest.

"Getting those two calls about you today was awful," she told him in between unsteady breaths. Deeks cupped the back of her head, gently rubbing circles on her skull with his thumb.

"So this ambush wasn't you just being super horny then?" he teased. "Not that I'm complaining. I'm always super down for couch sex. Even if my back is totally going to be killing me tomorrow."

"I needed a reminder that we're still both in one piece." She knew Deeks was trying to lighten the mood, but she wasn't quite there yet.

I've been in firefights on my own before and we're blown up an almost daily basis," Deeks reminded her and she lifted her head from his chest. She nearly laughed at the sight of him. His hair was a complete wreck, sticking up in places and matted in others, and his lips were swollen from her kisses. Instead, she reached out and tenderly brushed his hair from his face.

"Yeah, but I'm usually there. As much as I love working with Fatima, I don't like being separated from you." Deeks shrugged, maybe with a bit of forced nonchalance.

"It all turned out ok in the end." He gave her a little shake, frowning down at her. "But if I'm being honest, as much as I love Roundtree–and I do love him despite the fact that I only met him today–I wish we were together today too." Kensi sighed deeply.

"I wish we be ok like this forever," she murmured, holding back a small yawn

"Half-naked on the couch?" Deeks asked mischievously. "Cause I could probably manage that."

Smiling back at him, she ran her hand through his hair again and said,

"You say the stupidest things sometimes." She leaned up to kiss him again before settling on his chest once more. "And I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Love you too, baby," he whispered, pressing his nose into her hair. The worry was still there, but just a little more secure in his arms.

A/N: I hope this wasn't too short. I'm out of practice writing Densi smut.
