The True Catwoman Of Gotham Chapter 2
Once informing her about the supposed new arrival Tygrus promptly returns to the laboratory, but Victoria opts to head to the dock instead. She wants to get a good look at the island's newest addition as soon as they arrive.
It's been so long since she's laid eyes on another human besides Dr. Emile Dorian. Although she's still undecided upon whether or not to actually reveal herself to them yet. A bout of shyness emerges inside Victoria making her feel uncomfortable.
So Victoria remains hidden high up in the trees keeping a lookout for any signs of the boat. As she stares out at the ocean, just as it always does, an aching longing fills her chest as her mind travels back to the world she left behind.
Victoria loses track of how long she sits there until she sees the boat roaring towards shore in the distance. Victoria doesn't dare hope it is an outsider's vessel. She knows it's Garth returning with Dr. Emile Dorian's newest acquisition. Dwelling on the past all the time is so exhausting, so she tries not to, but it's so hard to do.
Garth emerges from the boat with an unconscious woman hanging from his shoulders. The woman's face is covered by her hair so Victoria is unable to see who it might be. Using the shadows as significant cover Victoria tracks them all the way back to the lab.
Dr. Emile Dorian is very pleased with Garth's success. The woman is strapped to the same lab table that had been used on her. Here Victoria is able to finally see who it was much to her shock.
Selina Kyle. Otherwise known to the world as Catwoman. Before she was kidnapped Victoria had heard and seen her on the news. Catwoman was a legendary criminal in Gotham, robbing multiple places and mostly stealing items that are related to felines. Her signature. Only when Batman finally caught her was the identity of Catwoman unveiled. So far Selena went straight. Unfortunately it didn't seem to keep attention off of her.
Hence the situation Selena finds herself in now.
Now it all makes sense. Why Dr. Emile Dorian has been so eager and excited to get this particular test subject here on the island.
Victoria doesn't make herself known yet, simply watching.
Soon the tranquilizers Garth had used on Selena wore off allowing her to regain consciousness.
Realizing she's in unfamiliar surroundings, fighting against her bindings, Selena called "Hey, anybody here?"
From a nearby set of stairs leading to the lower floors Tygrus steps into the moonlight. The sight of him alarms Selena greatly, causing her to recoil away even though she can't get far.
Tygrus slowly circles around Selena, taking her in both with sight and scent.
The same time Tygrus extends a hand towards the woman's face Dr. Emile Dorian announces his presence.
"Ah, I see you've met Tygrus," said Dr. Emile Dorian, pleasantly. "He seems to like you Miss Kyle."
Indeed. Tygrus does appear to be quite intrigued and enamored with Selena.
Waving Tygrus off nonchalantly, Dr. Emile Dorian said "Go. It's time for your exercises and take Bastet with you. Yes, Bastet, I see you."
Victoria jumps about half a foot. She hadn't realized any of them had noticed her in the room. Obviously hadn't been as well concealed in her own little corner as she first thought. Victoria fearfully takes tentative steps out of hiding, but not exactly going with Tygrus.
"Go on now," commanded Dr. Emile Dorian.
Not wanting to earn a scolding Victoria runs out of the room under the pretense of running out onto the island, but she has other ideas in mind. She expertly climbs up the walls on the building where she can peek inside of the lab from the skyline roof where Dr. Emile Dorian can't see her.
Selina is not happy about the situation she is in.
Struggling in her bonds, Selina said "This is called kidnapping. The last I heard, it was highly illegal. Who are you?"
Bowing slightly in her direction, smiling in a smug and irritating manner, Dr. Emile Dorian said "My name is Emile Dorian. But that doesn't begin to tell you who I am. Tygrus is my creation is Kyle. You've already met my first attempt at altering human genetic structure. Garth, the ape man. A simple biform, crude, but serviceable. But Tygrus, ah, he is the pinnacle of my art. I designed him from scratch, so to speak. I've given him the strength and speed of a cat and more. And then there is my third attempt of molding human genetic structure with feline DNA. Young Bastet, the female you saw run out here just now. You see about a year ago I altered her genetic structure to what she is now. Much like Tygrus but made from an entirely human specimen. A work of art. I love cats. Their independence, their power, their beauty. What is why I have chosen you for my next experiment, Miss Kyle. Just like I did with Bastet. Or perhaps I should say, Catwoman?"
"Mister, you are crazy," spat Selina Kyle, furiously.
"Sticks and stones, Miss Kyle. Sticks and stones," said Dr. Emile Dorian, prepping a tranquilizer with the serum. "You've already been inoculated with the initial dosage. This shot will further the treatment.
There's nothing Selena can do, helpless to stop him. Selena gasps as she is injected with the serum.
Victoria winces at the noise, covering her ears.
Another person stolen against their will to fulfill Dr. Emile Dorian's nefarious misdeeds.
Someone has to put a stop to it.
When will it end?

In honor of the brand-new Justice League: Dark Apokolips War film that just came out. Anyone else get goosebumps after watching that? Ha! Ha!
Speaking of which I just uploaded a new story called Morning Star based off of the new film. Please check it out and let me know what you think. It would really mean a lot to me to see what your thoughts are about it.
Also, watching it gave me a certain idea. What do you guys think of me combining my characters Audrina from Heart Of Atlantis and Danika from this one once we get to this new movie?
Also, I still haven't figured out what Danika's superhero name should be. I really need this figured out because the following chapter after this one will be where her superhero name is chosen for this story. The choices are now down to Tempest and Twilight.

I've been meaning to get back to this one for a while and only now I've managed to find some time and inspiration for it. I'm very satisfied and happy about it.
Right now during this epidemic with the coronavirus that's impacting every nation in the entire world we really do need find whatever sources we possibly can in order to lighten our spirits. Especially those who are unfortunately stuck sick or those locked in self isolation in order to prevent both contraction and spread of the illness. For those of us who have the abilities to do this we have a duty to keep up morale and that's exactly what I wholeheartedly desire these new stories and updates concocted during this time do for you.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm very satisfied and happy about it.

I have other grand news! I was a patron at New York Comic Con 2019! Ah! I'd been dying to go for years and now I had the opportunity. The Jokers from Impractical Jokers have been here along with Tom Hiddleston and so many others. Over those few days I actually got my picture taken with a couple of other actors/actresses and some really great panels. It really is so exciting there. This is an opportunity of a lifetime so there's no way in hell that I was going to waste a single second of it. No one ever should with something like this. Ever! ;D
For future preferences I highly recommend that you all keep an eye out for when tickets for New York Comic Con are available for purchase again for next year. This is a huge event and you should jump on it whenever you have the chance. Unfortunately this year it appears like Comic Con might be skipped not just in New York, but also in all its regular places during the course of scheduled events. I think we all know the reason for it is plain as day.
The coronavirus.
Can't exactly blame with how dreadful things are getting in escalation and the fact that places like the Javits Center in New York have been temporarily converted into makeshift hospitals in order to deal with the overflow of people contracting infections from this rapidly spreading virus that might as well be called a plague at this point. Let's keep fingers crossed that an aim is to have this pass us before then so things can get back on track. If it is then New York Comic Con might be exactly what people need in order to lighten their spirits after all this darkness. Stay safe everyone and long to eventually see you there.
