11I borrowed this idea from an old tv show I use to watch. I thought it would make a good Love Hina story.

W-why are we in this cave? Shinobu stuttered. Shinobu was one of the many tenants of the Hinata apartments. But despite the vast number of people living here no one quite knew why there was a door leading to caves behind the Hinata apartments. But it wasn't the caves themselves that Shinobu feared it was what might be lurking inside them.
"We are here" Keitaro explained as he led the way "to help Seta dig for more ancient turtle ruins"
"That's why yer here" Kitsune complained "but why are WE here? We don't work for Seta"
"You're here because Seta agreed to help pay for the damage done to the apartments after all the wall you've punched me through. But he asked for our help digging in exchange for the money" Keitaro reminded her.
"Right you are," Seta announced as they approached the digging site. "Thank you for all coming. We have two Mining paths open right now so I'll split you up into groups"
"Keitaro you take Naru and Shinobu down to the side mining tunnel that way while Su, Kitsune, Motoko, Sarah, and I work here" Seta explained.
"Right, we'll work hard," Keitaro said as he put on his hard hat.
**after digging a while at the side tunnel**
"Man when are we going to get back to the main tunnel," Naru asked. "Are you sure we came from this way?"
"No, you were the one in charge of navigation," Keitaro said as he turned back to look at Naru but managed to trip on top of her.
"How did you manage to fall on me when you were walking in front of me you pervert!" Naru yelled as she delivered her punch.
Keitaro goes flying and loses his hat. "Ahh, my hat" Keitaro shouted as he landed on the ground.
"I'll get for you Keitaro" Shinobu shouted as she ran after it down a side tunnel.
"No wait, Shinobu, that's an unexplored tunnel" Keitaro yelled after her.
"Got it- ahh, ooh. Keitaro!" Shinobu shouts as she runs out of the tunnel with the hat and one hand over her neck.
She grabbed on to Keitaro in fear.
"Shinobu what happened," Keitaro asked.
"Something bit me" she cried
We see a bat fly out of the side tunnel and take off down the path.
"I know what that is, it's a vampire bat" Keitaro exclaimed in surprise.
"That means," Shinobu said, lifting up her to reveal two holes on her neck. "I'm going to turn into a vampire," she said in a mortified tone.
"Get off of her" Naru yelled as she hit Keitaro away from Shinobu having heard none of their conversations.
**Back at Hinata inn**
"Now look there are no such things as vampires" Naru tried to explain to Shinobu.
"B-but I have this bite on my neck" Shinobu stammered.
"That could be from anything and it doesn't mean you turn into a vampire, they're nothing but a myth" Naru reasoned.
"Look, what if we boarded up the doors to the caves that will keep the vampire-I mean bats from becoming a nuisance," Keitaro asked.
"Yeah" Naru agreed "and while we do that you go get Kitsune and Su to put a bandage on your wound"
"Y-yeah your right, I do that" Shinobu said as she started to walk to the stairs.
"And don't be telling everyone that silly Vampire story, you will get them worried" Naru shouted.
Shinobu disappears upstairs.
"Whew, I think we convinced her," Keitaro sighed.
"Don't tell me you believe that vampire nonsense" Naru shouts as she hits him.
**Upstairs in Kitsune's room**
"Hiya Kitsune what ya doin'? Su asked. "Oh just looking at this mirror hon" Kitsune replied.
"But I can't see my reflection in it," Su whined.
"Oh, I know hon, the back fell off now it's nothing but glass now" Kitsune replied.
"Why not buy a new one?" Su asked.
"Nah, I'm waiting till I see Keitaro so I can trick him into buying me one," Kitsune replied.
-Knocking at the door-
"Come in," Kitsune answered.
"H-hi guys" Shinobu "I was wondering if you could help me put a bandage on this bite on my neck, just an ordinary everyday bite on the neck nothing to worry about"
"Yup, it looks like nothing sug," Kitsune agreed, looking at it.
"Hey, don't get to close" Shinobu squeaked.
"Why bites aren't contagious" Kitsune reasoned.
"This one is" Shinobu muttered to herself.
"So what bit you hon?" Kitsune asked.
"Oh, uhh," Shinobu said thinking fast, "I bit myself," Shinobu stammered.
"How could you do that hon?" Kitsune asked
"Uhhh, I stood on a chair?" Shinobu replied hoping they would stop asking questions.
"Don't worry Shinobu" Su yelled happily "This is the perfect chance to test out my new heal-a-meteoric" as she put a ridiculous big machine on Shinobu's neck.
"Ahh" Shinobu screamed as the machine was too heavy and made her fall to the ground.
"Stop that Su" Kitsune scolded. "Now you sit right here while we get the bandages," Kitsune said as she sat Shinobu where she was sitting earlier.
Shinobu sighs a breath of relief, she looks down and sees the mirror that she doesn't know is broken and picks it up.
Gasp Shinobu went when she saw she had no reflection. Oh no, I've become one of them. Vampires don't have reflections either.
"Ahharg" she screamed as she ran out of the room.
Huh, she must not like this type of bandage Kitsune thought.
**later**
"So you see I am turning into a vampire because I didn't have a reflection and neither do they" Shinobu rambled to Naru and Keitaro.
"Now Shinobu we already told you the reason you didn't have a reflection was that the mirror was broken" Naru tried to soothe her.
"And I wouldn't even make a good vampire. I faint at the sight of blood, I'll starve" Shinobu continued.
"Look what if we went to Motoko for help" Keitaro reasoned. "Her sword can dispel any evil so she should be able to banish the vampire right out of you"
"That's a good idea," Naru agreed. "Ya," Shinobu said, starting to cheer up.
They found Motoko on the roof training. "Ah, Naru have you finally decided to ask me to kill this miscreant male?" Motoko asked.
"Ahhh nothing like that" Keitaro yells, panicking. "Shinobu thinks she got infected by a demon, so we were hoping you could do some of you dispelling slashes at her"
"Ah, a dispelling slash," Motoko said, "I will do my best," she said, aiming her sword at Keitaro. "Not me" he yelled.
We see Motoko preparing for the strike, Shinobu standing a bit away from her. With Keitaro and Naru in the background. With Tama on Keitaro's shoulder.
"Prepare yourself Shinobu" Motoko stated. "Are you sure this is safe?" Shinobu asked.
"I can guarantee it will not kill you," Motoko replied. What about injury Shinobu thinks with a sweatdrop.
"Secret technique demon dispeller" Motoko yells as she slashes her sword.
But we see Tama fly in front of the blast without anyone noticing. The blast ricochets off Tama back at Motoko.
"Ahh" Motoko yells as it blasts her back. "Motoko" Shinobu, Naru, and Keitaro yell as they run over.
"Never before has my sword failed to slice through something, that must be the most powerful, evil entity in the world" (Tama is sitting on Shinobu's shoulder with a silly grin) "I am afraid there is nothing I can do" Motoko concluded.
**later**
"But I can't go to bed, Keitaro. If I do I'll turn into a vampire" Shinobu rambled.
"Look Shinobu I keep telling you there are no such things as vampires" Keitaro responded.
"But what about Motoko's failed blast" Shinobu questioned.
"I'm sure the only reason it failed was that you had no demon in you" Keitaro Reasoned. "What if I stayed the night with you would that make you feel better?"
"But what if I turn into a bat and fly away?" Shinobu asked.
"What if I tied a string to your foot and my foot so if you try to get up in the night I can stop you," Keitaro asked.
"Yeah even if I turn into a bat because a bat has feet," Shinobu said happily. Lying down on her bed. "That will definitely stop me from flying around and drinking blood from peoples neck"
Keitaro got up and put a scarf around his neck. It's not because I think Shinobu is a vampire. I just have a cold neck he reasoned to himself as he settled down to sleep.
Later that night
Shinobu sits up a glassy look in her eyes. She unties the string around her foot and stands up with her blanket draped around her like a cloak. "I am the vampire," she says in a hypnotic tone.
She creeps out of her room. And makes her way silently down the hall.
She stops in front of Kitsune's room. And silently opens the door.
Kitsune is on her bed quietly sleeping, unaware of her surroundings.
Shinobu approaches the sleeping Kitsune's bed. Almost gliding along.
Keep away from my booze Kitsune mutters in her sleep.
Shinobu leans over Kitsune's neck. Mouth open.
"Ahharg," Kitsune yells as she wakes up. "Shinobu what are you doing?"
Shinobu just stands there with the glassy-eyed look on her face.
"Shinobu, earth to Shinobu," Kitsune says as she snaps her fingers in front of her.
Shinobu blinks and her expression returns to normal. "What happened," she asked.
"What happened is you tried to make a snack out of my neck. I didn't know you were that type of girl" Kitsune explained. "You could have just asked me."
Oh no, I am a vampire Shinobu thought in alarm.
**The next morning at an emergency meeting between all the tenants minus Shinobu, and Keitaro who is keeping an eye on Shinobu**
"If she, not a vampire, how do you explain her trying to bite my neck?" Kitsune asked.
"Well, she was so upset about becoming a vampire she became obsessed with the idea. So when she went to sleep her subconscious took over and she attacked you" Naru explained.
"What is subconscious? Is it yummy? Can I eat it?" Su, who wasn't really paying attention, asked.
"What can we do to help her," Motoko asked.
"If we can convince her she is not a vampire she should be fine" Naru reasoned.
"Maybe if we all distract her with a date from Keitaro she would forget" Kitsune wondered grinning. "And then they would go to a hotel and Keitaro can alleviate her fears once and for all by-"
"Stop it with those dirty thoughts! she underage" Naru yelled.
"But I do agree with Kitsune that a date form Keitaro is our best bet" Motoko reasoned.
"But what if he tries to do something perverted to her" Naru contoured.
"Would you prefer to leave Shinobu like she is now?" Kitsune asked.
"Ugh, fine" Naru relented. "For Shinobu"
