"Frisk! Turn on the TV, the AN having an emergency meeting."

The teenager, Frisk, sighs as he gets off his comfortable chair and makes his way to the living room TV, navigating only with the aid of lit candles scattered about haphazardly. The room is cold, not below freezing, but cold enough to justify the purple sweatshirt he has on and his saggy winter pants. The smell of incense permuates throughout the room. A flat screen TV is propped up on the far wall.

Now on any other day, the TV would be on along with the overhead light and lamps. However, since the loss of communications with the UAC Mars facility, and the subsequent black out that came with it, everyone has been mandated by both the AN and all Earth governments to only use the remaining power in the grid in emergencies only.

His parents walked in as soon as he turned on the TV, the words STANDBY, stood out from the otherwise plain background. His dad, the one who told Frisk to turn on the television in the first place, took a seat on his lounging chair, while his mother chose the couch. Frisk simply stood by the TV, content to watch the AN meeting standing up. He was never into politics, and he assumes it's just going to be government officials briefing them on the situation before it eventually devolves into the usual political talk that goes over his 14 year old mind.

The screen on the TV suddenly changes, showing a massive chamber full of representatives from every nation and corporation in the world. One figure stands out among the rest however.

A large, humanoid robot stands in front of the entirety of the most powerful men and women in the solar system. His frame stands over even the elite UAC Shock-Troops that stand beside his robotic body. Exposed tubing and electronic blend seamlessly with the figures skeletal frame. Despite the figure's imposing size and alien appearance, no one in the chamber seems that shocked or even fazed. In fact, some are going as far as to glare at him Frisk notices. A voice interrupts his thoughts however as the AN representative for the Council speaks up from an elevated position in the room.

"Emergency meeting is now in succession. Now up is Dr. Samuel Hayden of the Union Aerospace Corporation, director of the UAC Mars facility."

Frisk dad stutters incoherently, before finally gaining back his voice and shouting. "That's Samuel Hayden?!"

Frisk doesn't blame his father for the outburst, while he might not be into politics, Samuel Hayden is a vastly popular figure from the UAC who suddenly came back from the dead a few years prior. Of course, no one really knew how at the time which led to a bunch of crazy conspiracy theories. From a faked death, to some of the more outlandish theories of resurrection, and occult dealing. Hell, Frisk has some friends at school that think the former chairman made a deal with the devil.

Frisk can't help but laugh at the thought. As if Hell exists.

"I'll skip the pleasantries Dr. Hayden," the representative announces, "but can you tell us what happened at your facility?"

A voice not much unlike a prophet comes from the robotic Doctor, grabbing everyone's attention.

"As you all know, communication between Mars and Earth suddenly ceased, cutting the planet off from its main source of power. Five minutes afterwards, the Argent power plant experienced a critical meltdown which immediately killed off all but a few of the UAC staff on site. Those that did survive later died due to the exposure to Argent energy."

"And the on site AI?" The representative asked, interrupting Hayden.

"The sudden surge of Argent energy overloaded VEGA's main AI core."

"May I ask what caused this meltdown, Doctor Hayden, and if the Argent tower can be restored?"

"The cause of the meltdown is still unknown, but we at the UAC are working diligently to find the root cause. As for the Argent Tower, most of the usable Argent energy was destroyed, or dispersed over too large of an area to be usable after the meltdown. However, I have in my possession a small portion of Argent energy. It will take time, but I believe we will be able to get a new plant up and running given time."

The crowd of representatives didn't like that answer apparently, because as soon as he finished a large amount of them started to whisper and murmur to each other. They were soon interrupted by a loud banging noise courtesy of the AN representative smacking his gavel on his stand which silenced everyone.

"We don't have much time Doctor Hayden, the entire planet is running on fumes at the moment. Most nations can't even keep their own people warm at night."

Back with Frisk, the teen was starting to get bored. While this is a huge deal, he rather be hanging out with his friends, not like he can do anything about the energy crisis. His eyes start to glance around the room as boredom kicks in. A flicker of movement brings his attention back to the TV. One of the many guards stationed around the AN chamber seem to be more active, talking into radios and walking around much more frantically. Plasma weapons are brought closer to their chests as one of the guards walks over to the AN representative and interrupts him. The soldier whispers something into the representatives ear, causing his eyes to widen before he falls back to a facade of professionalism. A mention of "Germany" and how "communications" are picked up from the two brief conversation.

"Wonder what that's about?" Frisk's mother asks.

The representative clears his voice as he addresses everyone in the chamber.

"I'm afraid we're going to have to postpone this for another time Doctor. It seems tha-"

The screen goes dark, before a new message pops up along with the sound of an EAS alert and the state AI.

"Warning, this is an emergency broadcast issued by the White House. As of this time, all citizens are to remain calm and make your way to the nearest safe house. If you are unable to make it to any safe house at this time, then remain in your residence until military forces can retrieve you. I repeat, please-"

The TV shuts off.

Frisk's dad gets up off his chair. "What the hell?"

A distant explosion interrupts his father, causing Frisk's mother to run to him and envelop him. The sound of plasma discharge and gunfire follow shortly after, along with the sounds of screaming and an assortment of strange and unnatural sounds.

His father quickly regains his wits and ushers his wife and child away from the living room, and further into the house, away from the distant gun fight that seems to be going on outside. The small family makes it to the basement door. Without pause, they enter, locking themselves inside.

The basement is dark, damp, and filled with cobwebs thanks to the years of inactivity. It never really served any purpose besides housing the breaker switch for the house, so the place is pretty empty. An explosion rattles the house, sending dust and loose ceiling onto their forms.

More gunfire can be heard outside, this time much closer than before. It quickly rises in intensity as something smashes into the house with a meaty splat. Bone can be heard breaking, people scream, a baby can be faintly heard along with barking from the neighbors dog. The sounds continue for another minute before it starts to quiet down. More tearing of flesh and the cracking of bone can be heard as the gunfire becomes silent. The smell of death mixed with a burning aroma quickly assaults Frisk nostrils, causing him to gag before his mother silenced him.

Frisk doesn't say anything as he listens to the labored breathing of his parents and the sounds of terror outside. He is terrified beyond belief as his mother and father embrace him. What's going he wonders. Who's invading, and why? Such thoughts are quickly discarded as he thinks of his friend and their safety.

His heart suddenly stops as something bangs up against the basement door. His mother and father quickly embrace him as the door starts to bend and buckle off its frame, before suddenly…

The door is sent flying through the room, impacting the far wall before the room falls silent. Loud footsteps are heard as something big and heavy makes its way down the stairs. With each step the stairs creak in protest from the massive weight of whatever is coming down. His parents push him behind them, partially blocking his view. Against his better judgment, he peaks around them to see what is coming.

A large red stubby foot impacts the ground as the thing enters his view. It's a terrifying beast with two large upwards facing tusks and plenty of other sharp teeth that look like they could tear into steel. An armored cortical bone plate covers the rest of its face, with only two red, hate filled eyes visible. It sniffs the air before it suddenly faces the family before it.

His father tries to herd him and his mom across the room.

The pink creature made a high pitch squeal, not much different from a pig, as it got ready to charge. After a second of build up, the creature charged, squealing the entire time.

His mother and father screamed as the creature rammed into them, knocking their now mangled bodies to the ground and Frisk across the room. His head made contact with a loose pipe, and he started to slip into unconsciousness.

The last image he saw was the creature stomping on his mother's head.

"Where did you find the kid LT?"

"I found him in a basement, one of those, um… pinkies was just about to kill him. My squad and I were able to save the kid last second, but we lost a few good men."

"I'm sorry to hear about that, you have my condolences. Was there anyone else with him?"

"Yes, however…"

"LT?"

"It wasn't pretty. The entire room was filled with blood and… it was hard to tell how many people were down there."

"Damn… I'm sorry Lieutenant. That's all for now. Put the kid on the evac bird with the rest of the survivors. Get your team ready as well, we're leaving. The town is a lost cause now."

"May I ask where we're going sir?"

"A safe zone has been established in Ebott City, that's where we're heading. Now get ready for evac, we leave in ten."

"Yes sir"

"May god help us all."

Far away from any prying eyes of the world, sits a station of unusual design. Hovering in orbit around the planet, one would not be wrong to confuse the station with a place of worship, as it looks as if someone of a higher power picked up a church and threw into space, but that assumption is wrong. So very wrong.

Built long before humanity even discovered fire, and by those that are considered Gods, the station houses the most destructive being in the universe.

In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. Burned by the embers of Armageddon, his soul blistered by the fires of Hell and tainted beyond ascension, he chose the path of perpetual torment.

A swirling ball of void opened up inside the ancient space station.

In his ravenous hatred he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured the Umbral Plains seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him.

An imposing being, clad in an advanced suit of armor, slowly stepped out of the interdimensional portal.

He wore the crown of the Night Sentinels, and those that tasted the bite of his sword named him...

The figure looked out from the station on down to the Earth below that burns. Ships can be seen flying away in the background, but the being pays no heed to them. Two eyes pierce through the beings helmet, glowing a deep blood red as he stared ahead with unfiltered hatred and fury.

the Doom Slayer.

Wow, another Undertale crossover. I sure am original. First let me say thank you for coming this far, and I hope you enjoyed everything so far. I mostly just wrote this on my phone out of boredom.

This is a little plot bunny I had in my head for a few days now thanks to Doom Eternal. This isn't going to be a full story, just something I come back to when I get in the mood. This chapter was mostly a flashback and a tease for what's to come.

Again, I'm mostly focusing on my other story A Destined Soul.

Anyways. Hope you enjoyed it, and have a wonderful day.

Edit: Changed from incest to incense. Damn auto correct.
