this is an idea I had recently, hope it works...I've been trying to make a Haphne story but I never seem to get it right.
Dont own Harry Potter.
Harry sighed as the the drunkards in the leaky cauldron retreated back to their tables. He was very mixed on Hagrid, he seemed like a nice guy, albeit dim...but yelling out his name in public like that was a bad idea.
"Sorry bout that 'arry. I'll get a drink real quick and we will be on our way."
Harry sighed as Hagrid passed out drunk. Standing he shook his head, took a letter out that had to be for his uses because he had shown Harry it, and walked up to the counter, "excuse me...how do I get into Diagon Alley?"
Tom looked up and looked over to Hagrid and shook his head, "I'll get you in, make sure you get to gringotts...I'm sure the Goblins want to speak to you."
Harry nodded, speechless as the wall seemed to fold in on itself. He started down the way and looked around, it was incredible...magic everywhere.
Walking into the bank he glanced at the poem at the front and mentally made a note to never rob the bank.
Walking up to an open teller he cleared his throat, "excuse me...do I have an account here?"
The goblin didn't even look up, "name?"
"H...Harry Potter."
That caused him to look up, "do you think me a fool wizard?!" Then he noticed the boy shying away, and could make out the variety of scars peeking out above the kids oversized shirt. "Whatever. You have your key?"
"Uh...the only thing I was given was this envelope." He held it out to the goblin.
Swiping it out of his hand he opened it and read it, his eyebrows rose and he nodded, "very well. GRIPHOOK."
"You bellowed?"
"Take mister Potter to his account manager and to vault 713 afterwards."
The goblin, Griphook, gave a curt nod and motioned for Harry to follow him.
The path forward was very confusing, and he could only assume the goblins knew it by heart because they built it. Griphook knocked on the door and waited for a loud "enter!" To open the door.
"I'll be back here in a little while mister Potter."
Harry entered the office and flinched at the feral grin on the new goblins face. "Mister Potter. I have been waiting for your return for a long time now. Tell me, how are you not aware of your accounts? We send out a statement for your bank account every month."
Harry blinked, "I haven't ever gotten mail until I got my Hogwarts letter...and even then my aunt and uncle took them from me until Hagrid had to come and get me."
The goblin sat back and stared at the boy, he knew he wasn't lying...goblins invented the mind arts so nobody could lie to them. "Do you mind if we run a blood test on you? It may tell us what happened then." At his nod he snapped his fingers and another goblin came out with a bowl and a knife. "Cut your palm and allow your blood to fall into the basin."
Harry picked up the knife and did so, he was amazed when the cut sealed itself after a few seconds.
The goblin scowled and slammed his hand on the desk, and the alarm went off instantly. "Stay." He pointed his finger at the boy. Harry gulped but nodded.
About half an hour later another goblin entered dressed in golden armor and a spear strapped to his back. "Spine eater. The reason for the alarm had better be a good one."
"Of course Ragnarok." He bowed low and handed the now named goblin a piece of paper.
The king tensed up, "and this is confirmed?"
"Yes your majesty."
Ragnarok turned to the boy and peered into his eyes. Harry felt like he was looking into his soul. With a nod he cleared his throat, "my name is king Ragnarok the 3rd Mr. Potter. Tell me, what can you tell me about these results?"
Harry slowly took the paper and read it.

Harry was confused to a lot of the contents, "what is...pretty much all of this stuff?"
The king just sighed and nodded, "good. It has not taken hold." Turning to the goblin he spoke in goblygook for a second and returned to the boy, "Mister Potter. We Goblins wish to help heal most of this damage...it is a rare treat that we extend the services of our people like this. Come with me."
Harry followed him into a room where female, at least he thought they were females, Goblins were surrounding a magical circle. "Enter the ritual. We will heal you to our best knowledge. Know this though, you will be charged a hefty sum."
Harry nodded, "alright..." the moment he was in the circle he was in so much pain he passed out.
King Ragnarok sighed as the healers came back with the compass containing the foulest and most sickening piece of magic he had ever known, "what can you tell me?"
" well, the we healed the injuries and the like on the boy, eliminated the infections, healed his eyes, removed the shard and blocks. Some of us have been helping the boy to heal the mental damage to him...which was aided by his magic. His core may have split but...it is something I've never seen before."
Ragnarok looked curiously, "well, first the bad news. This was such a tiny piece of soul he would have at least 5 more out in the world. The image the mist took was Voldemort." Ragnarok was close to killing something. That human not only defiled his soul once, but up to 7 times.
"Use the compass, find the rest."
The healer bowed, "we have already located one...in the vault of the Lestranges."
A howl of rage tore through the halls, making every goblin shiver, "it's not enough that that boy defiled his soul, he defiled our bank as well. Destroy it, and I want a portion of that vault to go to the Potter Vault in return for bringing us this info. The rest is ours." His guards straightened and ran out of the room. "What of the rest?"
"The boys core is split in half, but unlike everyone else who would become a squib or die, his two halves co-opperate. They work in tandem. Two halves, one core. It's almost like he was born with an extra magical core."
Ragnarok nodded, "document it and observe it, and send a copy to the DMLE And the unspeakables, I want Dumbledore to pay. I can see the signs of creating a weapon, you cant hide that from a warrior race. I already have Spine eater doing a complete investigation into the boys accounts. I am curious about that." He swept out of the room.
Harry groaned as he sat up, "what happened?"
The healer handed him a glass of water and a plate of meat. "Eat. While you were out we healed your body, you still have scars...but not as much anymore. Wear them with Honor young Potter. After your done Griphook shall take you to your Vaults."
After an exhilarating ride in a cart and grabbing a small package from the vault 713 Harry stared at the vault his parents had left him. He scooped as much money as he could into a nearby pouch and grabbed a book and letters from the back of the vault. After that he was outside again. It had been a week since he had entered the bank.
His first stop was Madame Malkins shop, he needed a whole new wardrobe...he felt disgusting wearing Dudleys old clothes.
"Hogwarts Deary?" A nice old lady came from the back.
"Yes...but I also need a whole new wardrobe too..."
Her smile widened and she ushered him to the back, "well, we can do the wardrobe after. First we can get you school robes. I have my assistant attending to another child, but I'll help you."
Stepping up on the stool he felt the measurements and held as still as possible. "You going to Hogwarts too?"
Harry turned to see a blonde girl with ocean blue eyes staring attentively at him, a woman who looked like an older version of her sitting on the bench nearby. "Yes...I'm also getting a new wardrobe...my...Relatives, didn't like buying me new things."
"Your Harry Potter."
"Ouch!" He looked down.
"Sorry dear." She didn't even look up.
"You don't sound as excited as the people in the pub a week ago..." he said.
She shrugged as she stepped down. "I never believed those ridiculous stories that were mass produced about you. Besides, mum says we were best friends as kids."
The woman stood and stared right into his eyes, "you are him! I've looked everywhere for you." Her eyes teared up.
"You...knew my mum and dad?"
She smiled and nodded, "of course. Your mum was my best friend in school. She even named me your godmother, my husband petitioned for your custody years ago, but Dumbledore never revealed where you were...tell me, where have you been living?"
"My aunt and uncles..."
Her face darkened and she scowled, "of course he would send you to muggles. Especially magic hating ones. You look a lot better than I thought you would in this situation."
Harry tilted his head, "well...Hagrid brought me here a week ago, but he ended up passed out drunk, so I took my key and an envelope and a Goblin named Ragnarok questioned me for a while, then they offered to heal me."
Everyone froze in the room, "y-you met the king of the Goblins?" Harry nodded, "you are full of surprises. My name is Evangeline Greengrass. This is my Oldest, Daphne, did I hear you needed a whole new wardrobe?"
"Yea?" Harry didn't like the feral look on the girls faces after he said that.
Harry grinned at the nice green shirt and Jeans he had on, they fit him. Durring the whole ordeal he had met Daphne's dad, who introduced himself as Cyrus Greengrass. He looked on in pity at the boy, but Harry never knew why he did that.
As the girls all shrunk down his purchases he smiled, "thank you for the help...umm... here, this is the only thing I can offer you for helping me choose new clothes." He held out the package he picked up, "I think Hagrid was supposed to get it for someone."
Evangeline's eyes widened as she peaked inside of it, "Cyrus!" She held out the package to her husband, who's eyes widened as well. "We'll discuss this later Harry...thank you for letting us know."
The rest of the shopping trip went by very nicely, the Greengrass family went with him everywhere. Only two more things needed to be done for him, a wand, and a potential pet. Daphne and Harry went to the wand shop while her parents discussed some things in private.
Albus Dumbledore was furious. Hagrid had messed up the job he had assigned him, he didn't have the bait he needed for Voldemort or Harry and he couldn't get it either. Apparently someone had taken the note off of Hagrid and taken the stone. At least Hagrid reported he had returned Harry to the Dursleys. They were apparently mad at him, for the last week his monitoring devices had been showing extreme pain.
Harry stared as Daphne's wand had emitted green and silver sparks. "Now, mister Potter. It is your turn, which arm do you use?"
"What arm do you Wright with Harry?" Daphne spoke up seeing his confused face.
"Oh...I'm ambidextrous. Had to be when my uncle was mad..." he said as if that was the most casual thing ever.
Ollivander's eyes widened and he grinned, "truly? You are a rare one mister Potter. Not many bother to do such a thing."
For the next hour he had tried wand after wand, the only reaction he got out of any of them was holly and pheonix feather he was currently grabbing at. "Perhaps, this one."
Harry touched the wand and yelped as the thing physically burst into flames."I don't think that one liked me sir."
"Apparently not. Albus was so sure that one would work for you too, but that is the most violent rejection I've ever seen in a wand. Not many left..." he looked around, he knew nothing normal would work for him, "oh! I think I may have one option left."
The Greengrass parents entered the store, "what's taking so long sweetheart?" Evangeline asked.
"Only one wand reacted to Harry so far at all...and that one burst into flames..." Daphne responded.
"Truly? I bet Ollivander is having a blast then. He always loved tricky customers."
"Indeed Lord Greengrass. Try these Mr. Potter." He opened the box and two different wands were inside, pure white with metal spiraling up the middle and a Saphire in one, with an emerald on the other. Both wands had intricate designs in them, one held a blue haired and skinned woman dancing in snow, the other showed a Kitsune running through the woods.
Harry grasped both, one for each hand and gasped as he felt the power surge through his arms, unknown to him his arms both became fire and ice, meeting in the center and fading back to his regular skin.
"Curious. Very curious." Ollivander mumbled.
"Sorry, but what's curious?" Harry asked.
Ollivander sat down on his stool, "I remember every wand I've ever sold Mister Potter. Those twins are a very unique collection, all the way back to the first Ollivander we have taken up wand crafting. However, none of us have been able to match the genius that was the first Ollivander. Those two, were his first ever creations. Wood from an elder tree that was touched by the Yuki Ona, snow maiden, then burned by the fox fire of a Kitsune and then struck by lightning knocking down the tree. So he began crafting a wand out of that, but something happened he would never tell anyone ever, durring the wands creations the wand split in half, but it was still working. It was like they were two halves of a hole, yet completely different. What you have their mister Potter is two wands made from that wood, the left half has a Yukki Ona hair inside, and the right has the tail hair of a Kitsune. Both capped with a gem for a stabilizer and with Mythril embedded into the wood. They have been the longest living wands inside this shop since my ancestor, he merely said that one day someone would live through the worst possible thing magic can do, and come for these. I expect great things from you Mister Potter...very great things."
The group of four sat stunned for a second but smiled, "well Harry. I'd say it's a little late by now. How about you come home with us for the rest of Summer?"
"Is that really ok?" Harry asked.
"Of course darling, it was supposed to be your home anyway. Not that trash pit you've called home."
Harry growled, "I've never called that place home. I'd be happy to never see it again." Never knowing what he said caused as the Greengrass Parents took both children home.
On the day of September the first Harry opened his eyes and yelped, for hanging above him was a beautiful bird.
Apparently the noise was enough to attract attention as both of the Greengrass parents charged into the room with their wands drawn. "What the...is that a pheonix?" Cyrus muttered.
"Yes. Yes it is." His wife answered as both of her daughters peaked around their parents.
The Greengrass Parents watched as the pheonix glided down into Harry's lap, and began singing as a golden aura began surrounding the two. "It's bonding to him..." Cyrus muttered. He knew the truth about pheonix familiars, unlike what Dumbledore would have you believe, a pheonix would not just bond to light based wizards. For a pheonix did not see magic in the same way a human would, they were very powerful creatures and would only be attracted to powerful people.
As the golden glow faded Astoria crept closer and smiled as she began to stroke the Pheonix's plumage, "pretty birdy..."
Harry smiled, "that's one way to begin my school career."
That popped the Greengrass parents out of their thoughts, "right. Everyone down to breakfast, Harry, Daphne, are you packed?" He recieved two affirmative responses.
As Harry stared at his new pheonix he smiled and stroked her plumage, "I think I'll call you Hedwig. We will have to get a proper perch for you for your burning days."
He wasn't even at Hogwarts yet and it was all so exciting, he couldn't wait to get their."
