"Princess Apple, are you sure you want to do this?" asked a maid as Apple White changed her clothes behind a screen.

"You won't have any bodyguards out there to protect you," said another maid.

"Don't worry you two, I'll have Togepi with me," said Apple as she came out wearing a red leather jacket, gold shirt with a white apple on it, black knee length shorts, and tennashoos.

"My mother also agreed that this would be a great chance for me," said Apple as she picked up Togepi who had been sitting on her bed.

"Just be careful, the Evil Queen has control of Team Rocket now and will do anything to get a hold of you," said the first maid.

"I'll be careful," said Apple as she grabbed a backpack and baseball cap. She then headed out, and that evening had set up camp in the forest.

"Good thing we practiced camping before we left home," said Apple as she stirred the stew she had been making while Togepi sat next to her. Suddenly, the two were startled at a twig snapping from nearby

"Who… who's there?!" asked Apple as Togepi jumped bravely in front of her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," said a girl as she walked out of the darkness and into the light of the fire.

"I had gotten lost when I noticed the light from your fire," said the girl as she brushed a lock of purple hair out of her face.

"Oh, are you a trainer too?" asked Apple.

"I am, I'm on my way to Bookend to challenge the Gym," said the girl.

"I'm heading that way too, if you want you can camp here and we can head out together in the morning," said Apple.

"That sounds great; um, I just realized that we haven't introduced ourselves," said the girl.

"My apologies, my name is Apple," said Apple as she held her hand out.

"Nice to meet you, Apple, my name's Raven," said the girl as they shook hands.
