Just a little fun one-shot...considering the state of the world right now. Enjoy

"Kev, Bud. I need you to do something for me?" Adam begged down the phone.

"What is it Ruze? You okay?"

"Yeah, yeah we are fine. Hey can you hack into the security cameras of Kim's apartment block?"

Kevin was starting to regret picking up this call. "Why?" He asked a little suspiciously.

"Some fucking asswipe stole our fucking toilet paper."

If anything was going to piss Adam off more than he already was it was Kevin laughing hysterically at him. This was no joke, sure they'd all laughed about it when the crazy hoarding started and enjoyed listening to Patrol's numerous disturbance and public disorder calls to break up fights in shopping centres all across town, but now shit had got real. Literally. "You done?" he seethed.

"Nah, this is too funny."

"Yeah it's all fun and games until some criminal coughs and spits in your face while they have this fucking virus. Now some fucking asshole has swiped our toilet paper that the skeevy little ten year old delivery boy just dumped on the doorstep and didn't even bother knocking." Adam didn't do well with self-containment. He was climbing the walls already and it was only day four.

Adam and Kim had arrested some piece of shit drug dealer and were interviewing him. Things got a little willing when he lunged at Kim, knocking her off her feet. Adam had leapt up to knock him out and they had a bit of a scuffle. They got him under control but he had spat at them both, landing a few good ones in their faces. He then told them that he had the Corona Virus and that had started a chain reaction which ended with them both being Quarantined for two weeks.

Now Kim was about to murder him, he wouldn't get the chance to develop the virus the way he was going.

The first two days were okay, they binged watched Game of Thrones, played board games, had an epic words with friends challenge until Adam snatched it after Kim bragged about leading him ten-zip.

Now it was getting a little tense.

"Where's Burgess?"

"Locked in her room. She thinks I'm being idiotic, although that wasn't quite the word she used."

"Dude, she's not wrong."

"So are you going to do it or not. I don't have time for this." Adam looked at the clock. "I'm a creature of habit and the clock is ticking."

Kev actually put it on speaker so Halstead could hear. They were currently sitting watching a drug stash house. "Why? What else do you have to do? Where you going to go?"

"You are no fucking help. Dude we are getting desperate. I literally have to ask Kim for some toilet paper every time I go. Like I have to announce my intentions. She's like a fucking warlord over the stash. This is getting serious Man, we needed that supply." Adam was getting more and more irrational. "Tell Halstead to shut the fuck up." He could hear him in the background.

"You do realise how ridiculous this is?" Kevin tried to stop himself laughing. "You sound like a three year old."

"What? Being quarantined because of some virus that we may or may not have? Being locked together in one apartment for two fucking weeks? That kind of ridiculous."

"How did you convince Burgess to let you stay with her?"

"She likes me."

"Well she used too." Kevin chortled. "I think you might be pushing your luck this time."

Even Voight had laughed, which was a rarity, when he found out that Ruzek and Burgess were quarantined together. Despite the fact he was down two officers, which was a pain in his ass he had joked that he was pretty sure he'd only get one back and that'd be Burgess because she would kill Ruzek. "We've all been stuck in a surveillance van with that wind-up toy." He shook his head and retreated to his office still laughing.

"Put Kim on." Kevin had reached the end of his tether talking to Ruzek.

They both sat and listened to his grumbling that she was not talking to him, had locked herself in her room and had already told him to fuck off several times that morning. Adam knocked on Kim's door, several times before she opened it. "What?" She sounded annoyed.

"Talk to Kevin." Ruzek shoved his phone at her.

"Why did you call Kevin?"

"Because you weren't listening to me." He huffed.

It was hilarious. Suddenly they wished they had set up a camera inside the apartment.

"Kevin." Kim sounded exasperated. "I'm sorry."

"Are you okay? Do you have your weapon locked away?"

"Yes, for now." Kim did laugh. "What did the idiot ring you for?"

"Hacking into your building's security cameras."

"Oh sweet Jesus. Ignore him." She rolled her eyes at him, Adam was pacing two foot away from her hands on hips.

"We need fucking toilet paper." He bitched. "And, I'm reporting a crime so you need to respond."

"Tell him that Intelligence doesn't do petty theft." Kevin kept talking to Kim while Adam ranted in the background. "It's like hitting an Ant with a hammer. Call Patrol."

"He's worried they'd laugh."

"Dude, so are we."

"We?"

"Halstead is enjoying the show."

Kim just sighed. She knew this wouldn't just be between them and Kevin. "Great, seriously though, despite the toddler's little rant we are running low. Can you help us out?"

"Tell them they need to escort it to the door and not leave it to some pre-pubescent delivery kid who is clueless or to the mercy of the petty criminals that frequent these halls." Adam added unhelpfully. Kim had tried to control him, this had been going on for close to an hour. He had already investigated how long it would take to order some security cameras online so he could set them up and watch from his phone. "By the way you are moving once this is over. God knows what goes on here. It's not safe."

"Shut up." Kim snipped at him and returned to talking to Kev who promised to help them out. If Kim sent him a list of things they needed he would organise it. He had to admit it would be his worst nightmare being locked inside for two weeks. Let alone with Ruzek.

He loved the guy, he was his best buddy but he was also a giant pain in the ass. The reason Kim ended up locked up with him was when they realised that Ruzek lived not from pay check to pay check but from day to day. He had no food in his house, his TV was busted and awaiting repair and he was pretty much incapable of spending that much time alone.

"Thanks Kev."

She handed Adam back his phone but Kevin had already hung up. "He didn't want to talk to me again? I need him to get a few things."

"He doesn't want to talk to you because you are an idiot and it's tiring."

"Yes, yes I am but you love me remember? I am loveable."

"Adam right now, you are smotherable…" she patted his cheek and he looked hurt. She did understand how hard this was for him, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park for her either but she didn't have claustrophobia like he did. He didn't talk about it a lot but Kim knew. "…but yes, I do love you."

"Good." He winked at her. "Now, gotta a square to spare? Man's got business to do."

Kim smiled sweetly before she disappeared into her bedroom and came out handing him a roll of toilet paper. "I am going to kill you."
