A/N I don't know where this came from but I couldn't get rid of it. I really don't know what to make of it. I don't own Trip or Enterprise, or the song Dream Lover by Bobby Darin.

A/N I really would appreciate any review of this, good or bad. Kind of curious what someone thinks of it . Thanks

Satrong was done crying. He just wasn't worth it. How could he do this to her? In the background she heard the song "Dream Lover…" playing. This was supposed to be the best night of her life. She had been looking forward to the senior prom for weeks. Then Krato had crushed her when he told her he was going with Matie instead. She knew it made sense for him. Matie was the most beautiful girl in their college senior class.

Satrong looked at herself in the mirror. She was a mess. She went into the bathroom and washed her face. She ran a comb through her long blue hair and then decided it wasn't worth the effort.

She supposed she should be thinking about finding a date, but it was only two days before the dance. Everyone already had a date. Besides, she didn't want to see the two of them together.

As the music continued, she felt her mind wander. She had gone to the dance alone and was trying not to show how much it hurt her to see them. Suddenly, there was a glow of light and a stranger appeared. It was obvious he was not of her world. He had beautiful blond air and was incredibly handsome. She was stunned when he came to her and asked her to dance.

He swept her out on to the floor crushing her in his arms. She knew she was where she was meant to be. They danced as one. Soon all the other dancers just stood and stared. When they finally were done and he pressed his lips against hers, everyone cheered. The look on Krato's face told it all.

He took her in his arms and carried her out into the darkness, illuminated only by their twin moons. Putting her down, he made love to her. She had never imagined it could be like this.

When they finished, he lay next to her, both sated and complete.

But then he rose and she knew he couldn't stay. He gathered her up and gave her one last kiss. He then dressed telling her, "I will always love you." There was a flash of light and he was gone.

Trip sat in his quarters, staring at the message he had received from Natalie of Pensacola. He couldn't believe she had done this to him. He had thought they were in love. As he sat there, the song "Dream Lover…" played in the background. He found himself getting angry. He didn't deserve this. How could she do this to him when he was off on a mission. He wished he could somehow teach her a lesson, to show her that he didn't need her.

Suddenly, he drifted away with the music. They had returned to Earth and Natalie had just told him she was dumping him. They were at a party with all their friends. As he stood there shocked, wondering what to do, there was suddenly a flash of light and to everyone's amazement, a beautiful, exotic woman appeared. Her hair was a deep blue and her eyes were purple. Her body was gorgeous. She walked up to him and led him into the middle of the room. She intertwined their arms and began to dance. He soon was drawn to join with her. It was unlike any dance he had ever done. He was consumed by her. It was like they had always been together. The best part was seeing the look on Natalie's face.

When they finished, she led him into the bedroom and made him realize what love and passion were all about. After they finished, she looked down at him and he knew she had to go. As she got up and got dressed, she gave him a last kiss, "I will always love you." And then with a flash of light she was gone.

Traveling at Warp 5, Enterprise was passing a star system containing a planet circled by its two moons.
