A/N: Because I can already imagine Kensi and their kid having the same sense of humor and Deeks loving every bit of it.

He takes a step up, then another and stops when there's no where left to go. Pulling the staple gun from his back pocket, Deeks reaches his hand down at just the right height and waits. "Alright, buddy, can you hand me that string of lights?"

The four year old smiles and nods his head exuberantly. Kai grabs the bundled up decoration that's lying in the grass and carries drags it over to his father. He stretches as far as his little arms will go and then remembers something. "Deeks the halls, dada!"

Deeks rolls his eyes and steps down when he realizes that he's going to need much taller help. He bends down, now eye level with his boy. "Did your mommy tell you to say that?"

The tiny blonde bites back a giggle, shaking his head, and then looks to the left, trying as best as he can not to laugh.

The tall blonde knows just what to do. He picks up his son and begins an attack with his fingers.

"Da-daddy." Kai, lets out a loud belly laugh. A laugh so great that he can barely get out his words. "Daddy, stop!"

She steps out the car, just getting back from the store. The sight before her sending a contented bolt of love throughout her entire body. My loves. "What are you two doing?"

The former detective and his mini me freeze at the sound of the woman that has both of their hearts. "Well according to our son, we're Deeksing the Halls."

Kensi walks up the path, towards the front door, stoping when she reaches them. "Huh, wonder where he got that from?" A devious toothy grin now spread to her lips.

"You, mama!"

He can't help the goofy smile graces his face as he watches his wife and son share a high five. Kai may look like his daddy but his humor is all his mommy.

"I thought you were suppose to be putting lights on the house."

"Well, we were, but then I realized that I need some taller help."

"I suppose I could move some things around in my schedule."

"How kind of you."

She reaches up, clasping her fingers around his shirt and pulls him towards her, bringing his lips to hers in a soft loving kiss.

"Again!" The tiniest Deeks giggles, urging his parents to kiss again.

"If you insist." Deeks says as he leans down once more.

They both smile as their lips meet again. Once they pull back, they both turn to be met with a beaming smile that belongs to their spawn.

"You were right."

Deeks looks at her questioningly.

"He does have great hair and fantastic teeth and that's all that matters."

He huffs a laugh when she repeats his words from a conversation they had almost 5 years ago. "His hair is glorious."

"Thank you, dada. I gwew it myself."

Okay so maybe he has a mixture of their humor. The former partners lock eyes and let out a belly laugh at the little boy's words.

"Alright let's put up these lights and then maybe daddy can cook his famous grilled cheese for supper."

"And mommy, mato soup?" Kai, looks at his mama with beautiful brown puppy eyes, pleading.

Her heart leaps every time he ask for her, whether it be a specific meal she makes him or cuddles or anything. She never thought she'd be good at this. Hell, she never thought she wanted this. But now standing here, looking into his eyes and the feeling of her husband pressing a kiss to her head. She knows that she was made for this purpose and this purpose alone. She was made for them. "And mommy's tomato soup."
