An announcement to those who read my story Code. Code is due for a rewrite and a massive overhaul from what it is at the moment. Now here, I will be giving a list of changes and the reasons why.

1. Instead of the story starting off with Kirito's moment of hopelessness and that moment being the discovery of his Video powers via emotional distress (a bit overused), the story will start right at the very beginning of the Fairy Dance Arc, basically when Kirito wakes up from SAO.

Reason: In the first chapter, I had inadvertently created a major plot hole, that being Suguha encouraging Kirito to not give up, which was one of the more defining moment in their own relationship. Alongside that, this gives Kirito more time to adjust and allow him to practice with Video instead of getting those stupid mental images that he automatically gets. Why is that? Well, considering the time it takes for Kirito to go through and finish rehabilitation from a two-year coma (My estimate would be two to three weeks) and the fact that there was a TWO TO THREE MONTH time skip between Kirito's awakening and Kirito's encounter with Sugou, I feel like this gives me a major opportunity for both a better story and longer chapters. Honestly, the sheer amount of time skips this series has gives fan fiction writers like myself so much opportunity that it makes my head spin from the possibilities.

2. Kuro Ishiyama is going to be given some changes as well. For one, his power will not be Concrete, but instead something different. I won't specify what that will be and it will be a surprise, however I will say that it will be similar in its properties and that it was featured in the canon inFAMOUS series, just not in the games themselves but it's still a part of canon. Secondly, Kuro will be receiving a change in aesthetic, his hair and eyes will be different. His choice of attire will also receive a slight change, but nothing too big.

Reason: I feel as if the whole 'long hair, unique eye color' thing for OC's is a tad overused, but Kuro's newer appearance will not make him the most dull and generic looking character. Kuro's appearance will still be a little unique, but not too much.

3. I believe in quality over quantity, so the chapters will be a lot longer now instead of just two to three thousand words. To me, that's just lazy and my work became half-assed because of it. Some of the things you see in the chapters of the current version of Code will still happen, but much later. This means that I have essentially given you guys a spoiler for what's about to happen later down the line and I'm sorry for that.

But other than that, Code will remain the same. A lot of things in the canon series of SAO will still happen, but I'm not too sure about the whole Underworld thing that was featured recently. I don't know a whole lot about it and I don't feel like watching through the whole thing when I could be writing more content for this story instead. And besides, Underworld doesn't even happen until after everything else in both SAO and SAO 2 is said and done.
